The salon is decorated so simply and minimal and yet has such a cozy and intimate feel to it. Everyone is always smiling! Antonio is very gracious and friendly. They make great lattes too! Masumi: She is by far the best stylist that I have ever worked with. She has been my stylist for 5 years now and I absolutey love how she cuts and colors my hair. She just knows what I want and she encourages me to try new styles because she is confident that it'll look good on me. 5 years ago I always just tied my hair and it had no style. When she first met me she was so confident that I would look good with bangs although I never had bangs before. I trusted her and I have never looked back since! She has been a savior to my hair game. She has helped me cut, style, and moisturize my hair in a way that is so easy for me to do at home and am able to upkeep. She was so great that I even booked her for my wedding to come and do my hair as well as my bridesmaids hair. She is always so professional, sweet, and super easy to talk to. Antonio Salon's attractive, well-lighted, posh salon is a beautiful place to treat yourself well and let the experts handle your hair design needs. Natasha consulted on my color and cut, taking my previously darker hair color and weaving in chocolate colored highlights into the crown to blend into the darker hair below. Without having to use more harsh chemicals to lift the previous color treatment, the hair texture was preserved. The effect was natural and perfect for my professional setting working with corporate clients and organizations. As a soon-to-be published author, the effect was perfect for photographing for my book jacket inside-flap author bio and photo. Natasha also carefully studied the way my hair grows and likes to move, crafting a design that doesn't require a lot of styling time or product. As a person with allergies to chemicals, I really appreciate the discriminate and subtle use of products. She created dramatic volume in my Asian hair that looked natural and did not fall down. It's a well-known secret that some of the best non-licensed "therapist" types in town are either bartenders or hair designers. Natasha has wisdom beyond her years. We had an interesting conversation across the time it took to color, cut, and style my hair, and I found our banter enjoyable and thought-provoking. The proof of the cut was that I simply fluffed it in the car, and my hair was back in shape, with the same volume and direction. Brooke is a hair sculptor & Vidal Sassoon trained! By chance, Brooke was recommended by another stylist at this salon that did not have enough time to cut and color my hair. I didn't know what to expect, but the results were wonderful. This is the second cut I have received from Brooke and it's even better than the first time. She takes copious notes to really get to know the client's hair. I learned she trained with Vidal Sassoon and understands not only hair cutting but hair sculpting. Do not let her sweet demeanor fool you, for her skills are as sharp as they come. I referred my hubby to her and the cut enhances his handsomeness. He has cumbersome hair and most stylists can't cut it properly. His cut is short but full, clean but flexible, and beautifully even all around. He said he didn't even have to explain much to her and how easy she was to work with. She does complimentary bang trims in between cuts too which is super helpful to me. In search of a fabulous new salon? You can stop looking. I went to Antonio Salon in Seattle because Jake B Martin (formerly of Bellevue Gene Juarez) is now wielding his magical shears there. He has been my stylist since 2005, and I cannot emphasize enough what a talent he is when it comes to hair. And he's a super fun guy to boot :) I love my hair, so believe me when I say hair is serious business here. I got an excellent haircut as usual, BUT...the amazing thing about how Jake cuts it is that as my hair grows out, it looks great for weeks and weeks. It never grows out looking shaggy or in dire need of a cut. The new salon is a light, bright airy space that whispers, "We want to pamper you, we want to make you feel awesome, we want you to love your hair." The huge windows, high ceilings and exposed industrial underpinnings, along with the fresh white paint, black leather chairs and clean interior lines, give the place a luxe, hip ambience. It's very relaxing and easy on the eyes; I prefer a salon that soothes my soul, rather than one that feels like a nightclub. The staff here greet you like you're an old friend. I feel like Masumi has done my hair for my entire adult life. That is not true, but it might as well be, because I can't imagine seeing anyone else. I have complete trust in her ability to know what will make my hair look good cut-and-color wise. She is totally willing to do what you want, but she also suggests things that always work out (like parting my hair in the middle, which I'm embarrassed to admit was a MAJOR decision--but I love the result). She is also a bit of a perfectionist, which is a quality you probably want in a stylist, right? She's also fun to talk to, and I feel like she is one of those really cool people that I feel a little proud to know, especially as I get older and more uncool. :) All of the other staff I've interacted with have been SO nice. Antonio Salon is small and cozy creating such a great vibe! The space full of character and friendly staff! But what really made my mind up about this salon is the experience I had with their stylist Lizzie! I've tried what seems like hundreds of stylists and I've never found someone who has colored & cut my hair so well!! I saw her after I got a botched color job (a couple months before my wedding!!!) at a big name salon, my hair was over processed, dead and frankly ugly... I was referred to Lizzie by a friend and she brought my hair back to life!! I was so thankful! She not only got my hair back to what felt like my normal self, but I loved it way more than any color I'd ever had before. So I've been seeing her ever since. Once my wedding was over I was wanting to ditch my long hair for a lob (long bob) and was so nervous, but Lizzie did such a great job. I love my lob so much, she showed my how to style it which helped me a ton! My family liked my hair so much that even my mom and brother ended up seeing her too! I also asked her to do my hair for my wedding, she did so well styling it with extensions- I was so happy with how it turned out. Went to Antonio Salon for the first time today and am very very very happy with the results! I came in with inches of split ends of worn out partial highlights after neglecting my hair over the past year, and left with a beautiful cut (thank you Adam!) and GORGEOUS blonde balayage color (thank you Masumi!). Both Adam and Masumi were incredibly professional and friendly. The communication was great, and I trusted both of them completely before scissors and color were applied. Masumi. Just go & see Masumi. I did a lot of online research to try and find a stylist to take me from very long to short hair. My old stylist specialized in "long & blonde" and didn't want to take me short. I tried to persuade her for a year before finally doing the research and landing at Antonio's with Masumi. To Masumi, I was really just a random off of the street asking for a serious and dramatic change; I'm sure she thought I was nuts. But - her work was incredible. She did a cut & color and it was better than I could have ever imagined. She took into consideration all of my comments and my pinterest board, and made my hair perfect for me. On my next visit we went from some highlights to a full bleach & tone on her recommendation - after chopping off 11 inches, I trusted her! I am so glad I did - I have *never* felt more beautiful. I cried in the car after the appointment; I had never felt so confident and comfortable in my hair. I didnt realize I had had the wrong hair for so long! Masumi tapped into my inner hair-goddess. The salon is a joy to go to, as well. You feel pampered. All of the staff is friendly and accommodating. My parking ran out and they even went to up the meter; really above & beyond service. I just moved back to Seattle in desperate need of a fresh start, and like any girl I decided the first thing to start was with my hair. i made a color appointment with Ashley and a cut appointment with Natasha. Aaaand just like that, I am never going to anyone else. I was every stylist's worst nightmare. I walked in with no idea what I wanted and gave them no direction. Ashley gave me the most beautiful ombre all-over lightener. I've had ombres before and this is on a whole new level. The change in color blends so beautifully. Natasha is like a mad scientist. She very meticulously parted my hair into about 800 sections and cut each and every one so precisely. I won't lie, at one point I was a little worried because the length of the different layers were all different from each other and my heart died a little bit when she snipped off like an 8 inch piece of hair. But with a little blowdry and just fluffing it with her fingers - i seriously have the most magical haircut in the world. i have super heavy and thick hair and my hair lays perfectly now - like even when i wake up in the morning. my bedhead looks like perfectly coiffed beachy model hair. i'm so obsessed. these girls were amazing. the salon is definitely on the pricey end, but i can't imagine going anywhere else. read more

I can't recommend Hedi at Antonio Salon highly enough! She took the time to understand the style I was looking for, worked with my hair texture, listened to my daily routine to make sure the style was manageable day to day, and gave me a cut better than the photos I showed her as reference. I ended up with the best 'I woke up like this' hair that can also be easily styled up or down! Double bonus: Hedi+staff+entire salon were super welcoming and professional and just oozed the best kind of vibes. LOVED my blowout with Lizzie! I found Antonio Salon through yelp since I was staying at the Thompson Hotel nearby and needed a blowout. They were offering a 20% yelp check-in which enticed me to go. The space was clean and my stylist Lizzie could not have been friendlier. You can tell she pays close attention to detail and was a perfectionist. She also gave a great head massage when she washed my hair. I enjoyed my experience so much that I had my husband get his haircut with her the next day. He also had a positive experience. I think this may be my first yelp review and I am SUPER excited I saved it for this place. I saw Mackenzie a week ago for full balayage. I showed her pictures beforehand of what I want eventually (I had brown hair and want a very pale, blonde color) and she gave me a couple of options. I have only ever done foiled highlights but per her advice when with balayage. I am SO glad I did. My hair doesn't seem distressed as it normally would after foiled highlights and the color is absolutely beautiful. I am so so happy with it!! I booked my next appointment with her as well as a Keratin treatment and cannot wait to go back. Mackenzie was really sweet and down to earth and didn't try to talk my ear off which I appreciate as I like to kind of zone out and read. If I had any complaint at all it would be that my blow dry wasn't that great. It was done by two assistants but whatever, I have enough hair for a family of 4 and it is pretty difficult to tame. And I didn't go there for a blow dry, I went for color and that was fantastic. Also, huge shout out to the front desk staff, I feel terrible I had to cancel/reschedule so many times (insane work schedule/my grandmother passing away) and each time they were beyond understanding and awesome. Antonio Salon gets five stars on all points for me - service, prices, location, decor, and customer service. I've seen Masumi for a cut and color three times. The first time I came in I had all-over dark brown hair that had layers and layers of dye jobs on it. I wanted to go lighter with an ombre and an all over red color, and since my hair is fine AND I recently had a hair texture treatment (digital perm), I knew it was a tall order for any hair stylist. I was worried it would either not be possible or I'd leave with fried ends. Masumi worked some crazy magic! She hand-painted on highlights through my ends. After checking on me a few times under the heater, she whisked me to the shampoo area once the color had lifted the right amount. When we dried my hair I was tempted to leave it as-is without adding any color over, because the ombre looked so great! Originally we weren't sure if I would need a double process so it was great to see how well it lifted on the first go. We decided to plunge forward with the red and I couldn't have been happier with the end result! I left with a perfect trim and a beautiful dark red near my roots that faded to a more vibrant red at the ends. My second and third visits just kept getting better! This last time we went for a slightly more purple tone to the red just for fun. She brought out a color chart with examples to make sure we were on the same page. I appreciated that Masumi checked with me to see if I wanted to do the same thing or try something new, and was open to whatever I had in mind. Added to amazing hair services, the salon is gorgeous. Its a clean, bright space with lots of light and space so you are never bumping elbows with other clients. I love the pops of color and the rows of succulents in planters. The space, plants, and warm service made me forget I'm in grey, cold Seattle. + finally they also have wonderful products. I use-and-abuse my hair like crazy and the Kerastase products I purchased here have worked wonders!
