I have found my new favorite restaurant in town! A Taste of Italy We had garlic bread, fried calamari and asparagus soup for starters, they were delicious especially the garlic bread was to die for. Then we had Lasagna, Linguini Ai Gamberi, and Calzone, they were fantastic!. They claim that all the ingredients imported from Italy, so I believe it coz you can tell they use high quality cheese &flours etc. Overall good experience, the service was good not great. Dining area is huge, think they should have some boothes/ room dividers to make it looks more privacy. I will eat here again. read more

Antica Forma is some of the best pizza I've had in a long time. They have an actual wood-fired pizza oven and, man, do they know how to use it. Husband and I came in while visiting Moab and we were not disappointed. The Capricciosa pizza and the Quattro Formagi pizza are both full of flavor, without being overloaded. We also shared the burrata as an appetizer and I think I could've eaten it as my whole dinner. Generous portions, enjoyable atmosphere, killer pizza, what else do you need? Got the Pistachio pie. It was fairly good and flavorful however I felt like it was very oily. Since the base is pistachio pesto, there is a good amount of oil coming from the oil added in the pesto and the pistachio (an already oily nut). There is also sausage spread across which provideS additional oil and to top it off, a drizzle of extra olive oil definitely gives it that extra oily the touch quality. However since it's pizza we're talking about, the most healthy and balanced item in our diet, oily characteristic don't matter as much. This restaurant was walking distance from where we were staying during our visit to Moab and the first place we ate at during our stay. Since it was walking distance we didn't drive but if you are driving, you might have some trouble parking as their parking lot always seems full. For appetizers, we ordered the fried calamari and burrata. It was my mom and friend's first time trying burrata and they absolutely loved it! We ordered the Pistachio and Il Tartufo pizzas which were both delicious. This was 100% the best gluten free pizza crust I have ever had. I got the truffle one and I kept taking questionable bites because I was certain they swapped our crusts. This wasn't a great experience so my review will be nit-picky. Very first impression: Hostess didn't seem like she wanted to be there. We waited in a congested doorway for her to take down our names for the waitlist but she basically just stared at us until another hostess took our names. Maybe the first gal wasn't a hostess? It remains a mystery. A lager was mislabeled as an IPA on the menu and they were out of the other IPA listed so I settled for a pale ale which was brought to me in a dripping glass filled to the brim. No one likes that .. wipe the glass before serving it or at least provide a cocktail napkin so the glass, table and my hands aren't covered in wet sticky beer. That's serving 101. The server was nice but about 15 minutes after ordering the hostess-who-didn't-want-to-be-there informed us that they lost our ticket. After reordering they did quickly make our food and deliver it, and gave us a modest discount. The food was mediocre at best. The red sauce on the Margherita pizza tasted weird but I couldn't pinpoint exactly what was off. The chicken Alfredo was just ok. The aforementioned pale ale was meh. They have a nice spacious patio but I still would not recommend. read more

I would give this place 3.5 stars but I rounded down because of the issues below. Food was normal Italian nothing outstanding but probably the best Italian place in southern Utah. We arrived at 4 and there was one full table outside and we were the only ones inside. At least 8 employees sitting around at tables talking waiting for the dinner rush to begin. Our waitress was great.. we had planned to split a pizza and a pasta dish and asked if some of the pizza ingredients could be put on half the pizza only. She said no changes to the pizzas and no requests for half of something. I looked at the pizza prep area and 3 guys sitting around talking with nothing to do but still no changes. So in the city of Moab after a very long day of hiking we chose this place for dinner. It was late and there wasn't much options. It's a very busy place, open layout. Service is very fast and friendly and it didn't take long for the food. I ordered spaghetti because I'm pretty basic. Spaghetti is one of my favorite dishes. My bf ordered a meat lovers pizza. What was disappointing was, there's no ranch. Isn't ranch and pizza a thing like everywhere? Also my spaghetti could've used some ranch as well. Now they give a whopping big ol portion of spaghetti. & Huge meatballs. & Let me tell you something, those meatballs were the best thing there. The sauce was eh. Honestly, I would've preferred basic prego sauce at that point. Maybe it's my love for spaghetti that makes my standards high or maybe this plate just wasn't that special. Started w an amazing Primavera Salad - SOOO good w nice quality, mixed field greens (no Iceberg Lettuce here!), candied pecans and Havarti. We split a Primavera Pizza, one of their "white" pizzas w Housemade Mozzerella - super fresh w leafy spinach on top - Good Flavor. We stopped in for dinner on July 22, 2020 to have pizza and beer. This place has many tables inside and outside and I bet there are are not enough during high season because the food is EXCELLENT! And we enjoyed the service we received. We felt like it was opening day and they wanted to prove they were good. We ordered the Antica Forma pizza and the sausage and mushroom pizza (I can't recall the official name). Both were perfectly done and I don't say that lightly as I think wood fired pizza can be gimmicky and very doughy. They got it right. This is the best wood fired pizza I have ever had. Sat on the covered patio next to a waterfall/water feature, and the ambiance and relaxation was second to none! Service was quick and waiters were attentive. Had the pear and Gorgonzola salad (good but nothing out of this world), and the eggplant/pepper/zucchini/fresh mozz pizza which was by FAR the highlight. crust was thin and you could tell it was handmade. I found this place on yelp/Google with good reviews and we came here pretty hungry after exploring Arches. The pizza menu is huge, and it was hard to decide what we wanted. The server came over multiple times before we decided and we felt rushed. We ordered the burrata appetizer and to be honest, I haven't had burrata before but I think it was overpriced for $15. I also ordered the "fresca" salad for 7.95 which was 90% arugula, and totally overkill. It was probably my fault for just picking the first side salad on the menu, but I barely ate half of it because the arugula was so overpowering. They also brought the salad while we still had the appetizer, and brought our pizzas while we still had the salads. It was a Monday early evening around 5pm and not busy at all. My husband got a Caesar salad which was also overpriced at 8.95. We both ordered pizzas, I got the Margherita and my husband got one with prosciutto. As usual, my eyes are bigger than my stomach and I took most of it home. The food wasn't bad, just felt extremely rushed and did not feel like our $80 check with tip was justified, especially when we didn't even order alcohol. I would not recommend. read more

We came during the off-season and got right in when we showed up around 6:30 PM. The waiter was very kind and attentive even when helping other tables. Prices are high but portions are large (including the kid's spaghetti which could have easily been enough for an adult). I got the meat lover's pizza. It was delicious, but if I went back I would choose a different type. There was just too much meat for me. The crust was light and fluffy and the ingredients really fresh. Awesome pizza. There was really no great pizza place in Moab but now there is. This place is outstanding. I was amazed that they make their own mozzarella and it shows in the quality of the pizza. I love their crust too. It has a good chew and a great flavor. I had the pistachio pesto pizza, the balsamic reduced onions and prosciutto pizza, and the "meat lovers" pizza. I was surprised that my favorite was the one with the onions and prosciutto. But don't get me wrong, all the pizzas were awesome. The garlic bread and bruschetta were both done in the wood oven which gave it a bit of a char, which gave it all the more flavor. Overall this is a must go to in Moab, don't skip it!! read more

Pleasantly surprised with this gem of a pizza joint. I stopped here to carb load on a bowl of pasta before a trail marathon that I was set to run the next day. BUT, upon seeing the pizzas that were coming out, I just couldn't say no. Between three of us, we got a few different pies, as well as an appetizer or two. They were all delicious. The quality of the dough, the ingredients, and the actual cook were amazing. Not to mention you can watch your pizza being made right in front of you, which always gives me confidence in the quality of the food being served. My only recommendation to the restaurant would be to try and find a way to incorporate a waiting area inside the restaurant. We were there on a busy night (which I am sure is not uncommon given how good this place is), and had to wait about 20 min for a table, which usually is not a big deal, however waiting inside this restaurant was very uncomfortable. There was no place to sit, and lots of people gathered right inside the door. I moved to the side as best I could, but I felt like I was hovering around other patrons tables who were trying to enjoy their food. Again, not a huge deal, and overall I was very happy with the food and overall experience, ill be back again soon. read more
