Bottom Line: Great service, excellent Neapolitan pizza but not much ambience and a tad on the pricey side. My husband and I went to Antica Forma because we'd heard good things about it, it was one of the first restaurants we came to after landing at Canyonlands Field and it had its own parking lot. We both got personal sized 11" pizzas. We each only managed to eat about 1/2 of our pizzas at the restaurant but they made a great post-hike snack later that day. My husband went for a standard Margherita Pizza but I branched out with the Salciccia E Funghi (sausage and mushrooms) and it was delicious! Coincidentally we'd just had Neapolitan style pizza the night before in another town and we liked Antica Forma's better because the crust was a bit thicker but still thin. The crust at the pizza place we ate at the night before was almost crispy like a flat bread whereas Antica Forma's crust was thin but still with a touch of chew to it. The restaurant has indoor seating and patio seating. I didn't find either to have much ambiance but we certainly enjoyed the air conditioning inside. Service was attentive and friendly which we certainly appreciated. I know everything is expensive these days in general, and Moab is expensive, and vacation is expensive but our lunch at Antica Forma still felt a tad pricy. read more

Hands down, this place has the best gluten free pizza I have ever had! They have a dedicated menu page for the list of the many gluten free pizzas to choose from. The "flour" was fluffy and crispy, with just a bit of smoky taste from the fire oven they bake the pizzas in in the dining room. I also indulged in a Venetian Skyline drink, which was very fruity and perfect for a calm evening. The food also came out surprisingly fast and the waiters always remembered to check in with us. My family came here after a mostly full day of hiking so we were starving. We got seated right away, even though they were fairly busy. There was only one server working that I could see at first and she was buzzing around the place helping her customers as best she could. She was friendly and as attentive as she could be under the circumstances. I got the pistachio pizza and it was AMAZING. My son got what basically amounted to a margherita pizza and he devoured it, even the crust (which he doesn't normally eat). My husband got the meatball panini and let me try it, it was delicious too. We would definitely rely come back the next time we are in Moab! read more

We stayed in Moab for a few nights in July 2020 and one of the wonderful places we decided to try on a whim was Antica Forma! I'm so, so glad we did because it was some really delicious pizza. I don't remember the pizza I ordered but I do remember how delicious it was and that I ate every last bite. My husband also had a different pizza and loved it and we both got different salads and enjoyed them both. Heads up, this place is a little pricey for the quantity you get! A great, friendly spot for some hearty pizza! Service: 12/10. Our server was exceptionally nice and attentive without feeling like she was ever hovering, our water was always full, and everything we needed from plates to silverware was anticipated and on the table before we could even ask for them. The food also came out extremely fast, I was shocked at how quickly and how well the personal pizzas were cooked!! Food: 9/10. The pizzas were delicious, hearty and generously portioned! Not to mention how quickly they came out, must have only taken 5 minutes or so after we ordered them! I would guess their secret lies in the rip-roaring pizza oven that they use. The calamari was also very tasty though a little fishy and the marinara tasted store-bought. The aioli was my preferred of the two sauces. Value: 8/10. Items were a little on the pricier side, but given that it's a tourist spot, you could do a lot worse seeing how exceptional the service was and the quality of the food. Mussels al vino vianco and bruschetta were delicious. Linguine Al Gamberi was bland; couldn't sense a bit of red pepper flakes or white wine. Had to add salt, pepper and some of the broth from the mussels to make it pop. Lasagna alla bolognese felt like it was mostly cheese, which made it quite chewy; would have enjoyed it more if it had less cheese, and more bolognese/pasta. Interior ambience could use a major renovation/facelift. The patio is nicer. Service was polite and very responsive. They did, however, forget one order (which was brought out later and comped - thank you!), as well as the bread for the mussels (which was delivered soon after we asked). Despite responsive service and patio ambience, the food and overall ambience were a 50-50 prospect, which kind of outweighs everything else. read more

After a very long day of exploring the Canyonlands (Needles District) and stargazing to see the Milky Way at the Arches National Park, we were so hungry and we decided to kind of do a food walk around the Moab area and get take outs from some of the interesting restaurants there. And, based on recommendations from a lot of vloggers, Antica Forma was on top of our list and we wanted to try their pizza! We got their Funghi (Mushroom) Pizza, it was really delicious, they used all fresh ingredients, and was worth the hype! Just that our pizza was overburnt than what I would have expected on one half, the taste was still good. Fantastic restaurant that offers so much more than just pizza. They're currently open during covid, both indoor and outdoor seating is available. They do have heaters available outside too. This place was great. You should go. My husband picked this place over the more "posh" pizza place down the street. I doubted him. But you should not. Don't settle for aesthetics. Ordered the Macellaio (meat lovers) pizza and a order of two meatballs. The pizza was OK but the toppings need to go on top of the cheese so they can cook. The 7 pieces of pepperoni were on top got cooked, but the rest of the toppings were underneath the cheese and could of cooked longer. The pizza had a lot more pieces of ham than sausage (hardly any) and pepperoni (7). The topping could of been spread out alot more evenly. The crust, I would give a 1 star. Too thin and flimsy. You can't pick up a piece without the pizza just going limp. I had to roll it up like a cinnamon roll to eat. The pizza could of been cooked longer too. The meatballs get a 5 star. Awesome pizza joint Jose was super accommodating getting us the best seat in the house! Bruschetta was OK - Wish they would chop up the tomatoes and get rid of the seeds and make a more of a pico de gallo type texture as that is more traditional . Also kind of a fail on the bread (bruschetta) as it was just regular thick French bread stuck in the fire oven was OK but they should be Smaller - Baggette toasted pieces. Also a bit more of the balsamic glaze - and you'll nail it. Amazing. A little bit under cooked in the center but to be expected in such a crowded evening. If they could've spent 60 to 90 more seconds in the oven I think they would've been perfection. The price is right. First time it was just ringing forever then the next few times the line was busy. About the 5th or 6th try we were able to place a togo order. They estimated 20-25min and indeed it was ready by the time we got there but it was prolly like warm at best when we took it back to our hotel which is across the street. - Lasagna: just a huge blob with pasta, meat sauce, cheese and mushroom. Could have used a little more seasoning and could have been hotter. - Chicken Parm: Crispy on the outside but super dry on the inside. Sauce was decent had a sweetness to it. Pasta was cooked nicely but could have been hotter. Pasta dishes did not satisfy us at all.
