Anthony in one word: PROFESSIONAL Anthony is a true expert professional in his fields that does his job excellently and explains everything in detail to the client. We always felt we were aware of what was happening and the course of action to fix our pool leak problem. In terms of the value, he was not the cheapest but you truly pay for a high quality leak detection, plan to solve the problem, and quality work fixing the problem. Highly recommend him for this type of work in your home. read more

Anthony exceeded every expectation we had. During another project at our home, water was discovered coming from an unknown source, and there was concern that our pool was leaking. We contacted Anthony, and he quickly made time to come out. From the start, it was clear we were working with someone who truly knows pools. He was professional, methodical, and incredibly thorough. He first found a leaking copper pool fill line, but what impressed us most was that he didn't stop there. He continued inspecting the entire system and discovered a much more significant leak at the old copper skimmer that could have easily been missed. Anthony repaired everything properly, replacing the skimmer, equalizer line, pool suction line, return line, replumbing the system, installing a new backwash valve, and even securing our loose pool ladder with new anchors. His attention to detail, honesty, and workmanship are exceptional. It's rare to find someone who cares this much about doing the job right instead of just getting the job done. We recommend Anthony Sena Leak Detection without hesitation. read more

I would leave a 6 star review for Anthony Sena Leak Detection if 6 stars were available. Anthony Sena was second leak detection company I called about the leak in my swimming pool. The first company who I wont name here, charged $575 and was terrible. The person who showed up did a bare minimum of work using only a little dye syringe. I wont go into a lot of detail, but he didnt do much of anything other than use a small mirror and a dye syringe. He actually gave me a $2400 quote to open up my pool deck where he thought the leak might be, which later turned out to be the opposite end of the pool from where the leak actually was. I called Anthony, and despite being quite a distance he immediately gave me advice on how to perform a simple bucket test to determine if the water loss in my pool was definitely a leak and not just due to evaporation. After performing the bucket test to to determine it was definitely a leak, we agreed on a price to come down from his area in the San Fernando Valley, to my home in North Orange County. He made it clear he would have to charge extra because of the distance and I agreed as the extra amount wasn't unreasonable considering the amount of travel time between our locations. Anthony spent over 4 hours checking my pool. He did a visual inspection around the edges checking for any cracks, but then the real work began. He brought in several trays of different kinds of plugs and valves, and gauges to check the various piping systems. He explained that he would first pressure check the different piping systems, then if that didnt reveal the leak, he would go into the pool to check the lights and bottom drain for possible leaks, as well as look for other cracks in the pool itself. He disassembled the valves at the equipment area and inserted inflatable plugs that could be connected to a nitrogen tank and a pressure gauge. He inserted inflatable plugs in the jets (returns) and performed a pressure check on that entire system. He also pressure checked the Polaris pool cleaner line and the inlet fill line. Last, he thoroughly checked the skimmer unit and by using a small mirror on a long extension was able to find a crack where the skimmer connects to the line. He then did a pressure check on the skimmer line itself and verified that the crack was open to the surrounding soil. Anthony spent a lot of time explaining exactly what he was doing and why, and at the end we were both confident that he had found the leak. I now knew that my skimmer would need to be replaced instead of opening up the deck somewhere else looking for a leak that wasn't there. So, bottom line, the little bit of extra money I spent with Anthony was well worth it as I am completely confident he found the only leak. I would have liked to use Anthony to do the repair, but unfortunately the distance between our locations doesn't make that practical. But I highly recommend Anthony for his honesty, knowledge and professionalism. read more

Had a suspicious leak in our pool and contacted Anthony to see if he could help me out. From the first phone conversation, Anthony was very professional, patient and asked lots of great questions to help him understand my situation. We made an appointment and Anthony arrived as scheduled, keeping me updated on his progress and ETA, so very communicative. I gave Anthony a walkthrough of the situation, where it was clear to me that he knew all the ins and outs of the pool setup and how things function, and even called out a thing or two that he he'd recommend doing a little differently, but wan't pushy about trying to sell me on the work, just as an FYI. Anthony got to work, had all the necessary tools and equipment, and was able to locate the problem area. He applied a good temporary solution and walked me through what a proper fix would look like when I was ready to pull the trigger on the actual repair that needs to get done. Even a couple days after service, Anthony has been in communications, checking in on the pool and making sure I felt good about his service. Honest, communicative, knowledgable, and professional. Would highly recommend. read more

Luckily I found Anthony from his many 5 star yelp reviews. He came out, diagnosed & fixed multiple leaks in my older pool. He was very knowledgeable about the possible plumbing issues or general cracking with the older construction. His fee was very reasonable considering the time he spent & the workmanship. Anthony has integrity and ethics. He told me that he would find the leak, and if he didn't, he would come back to find it. He did exactly that. He found one leak, but there was a small hidden leak. Anthony was very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. He was able to locate the leak in my system and offered a reasonable quote.

I left a message on their voicemail many days ago. They do have a lot of good reviews which surprises me. I just can't trust a company that doesn't call you back. They made a stressful situation even worse. *** Owner says there was no voicemail left but that's not how modern voicemail works. If someone leaves a voicemail, you get the voicemail. And I left one. read more

It took three days to respond to my request for a quote. I never stated a timeframe beyond requesting as soon as possible; his response was that he was booked and unable to service. Anthony is the absolute best. He was very responsive to our calls and scheduled us quickly. He was punctual and professional and best of all: found our leaks (yes more than one) very quickly. Not only that but he was able to FIX IT THE SAME DAY. When we first realized we had a leak we called another leak detection company that is highly rated on Yelp and they were awful. They quoted us one price then when we clarified that it included not just the pool but the return/skimmer pipes they said it was an additional charge. They were dodgy about appointments and when I asked basic questions about the pool they hesitated and gave incomplete answers - not a confidence builder. So we spoke to a family friend who does leak detection for offices and he said: there's only one guy I'd recommend: Anthony. So we called. Anthony is VERY reasonably priced. Having a pool leak sucks and is expensive, having a leak detection company come out is expensive -- pick one. He is an absolute pro and walked us through everything he was doing and seeing and his reasoning for doing it. He is incredibly knowledgeable and worth every penny. We feel super grateful to have found someone who really understands pools! Thank y oh Anthony! read more

Anthony was great and helped us find a leak no one else could. A few companies gave up after a few attempts (and a few bills). Wish I found Anthony sooner given his knowledge and expertise. Thanks again! read more

We've had a leak in my pool for years. Anthony came and found it and repaired it in the same day. He then came and replaced my skimmer to make a more permanent fix. The work is amazing. One of our pool pipes was probably damaged from some yard work. Our weekly pool service tech suggested that the leak was probably from one area. Instead of charging me full price for an entire service, Anthony was flexible and reduced the price to only inspect where we thought the leak was. The leak was discovered, dug up, and he temporarily sealed the leak so the pool would work properly until we could have someone replace the pipe properly. Professional, on time, and great communication. While I hope I don't have to call for their services again, should we have a leak it will be the first time I call. read more

We had a costly mystery leak in our pool. Anthony came highly recommended to us by our pool servicer. We called him and he was able to diagnose the location of the leak right away. He used his high tech equipment to assess and zero in on the location of our mystery leak and sealed it! If you suspect pool leaks definitely give him a call. Anthony is the best! read more

I carefully reviewed many leak detection reviews and decided on Anthony. The only bad reviews he had was based on people that never got a call back, not from his actual service. But noticed the stellar reviews of those who actually worked with him. With that in mind, I left him a voicemail and hoped he would call me back. He called me back in a couple days, made an appointment, and he found a big leak on the day of the appointment. The detection involved him testing all the equipment, scuba diving in my pool and a number of other things. He provided a very good quote. When he came back, he spent literally 9-10 hours straight on one day repairing the leak. He came back the next day and spent another few hours finishing the job. He worked under the glaring sun for 9 straight hours and i felt soooo bad that I insisted on buying him lunch and a handful of gatorades, which he was initially hesitant to accept. I was blown away by his knowledge and working so hard non-stop. I asked him why he didn't take breaks, and he said he's a one man team. Lots of voicemails piling up and he needed to work hard so he can have time to be able to service more customers as quickly as possible. Hence the earlier comment of pointing out his only low reviews were from people who never got a call back. When you are able to get him, consider yourself super lucky because he knows exactly what the problem is and how to fix it. He gave me a solid quote and said that's the max, and might be better once he digs into thr ground and sees the leaking pipes. He ended up giving me a $500 discount because the worst scenario wasn't found. He followed up with me after the job to make sure everything is okay. I have confidence that my next water bill will be much better because I met Anthony. Thank you for working so diligently and so hard for my pool. BTW, I had other issues around the house unrelated to my pool and he took the time to look at them and either fix it or recommend next steps of who to reach out to. Just amazing! Pics include him digging out and repaving the pavers. Plus a vid of the leak. read more

Look no further. Trust the reviews. You are on Yelp to find a contractor who is outstanding and that is what you have found with Anthony. He is passionate about what he does and will diagnose and treat your pool like it is his own. 3 weeks previously I contracted with another leak detection company who identified I had a leak in my skimmer, but advised they did not do repairs. The recommended A/B epoxy, but cautioned it may work for a couple weeks or could last a couple of years. Turns out their couple weeks estimate was pretty accurate and I contacted Anthony. Anthony provided a VERY competitive quote over the phone to replace my skimmer and advised he would verify there were no other leaks when he arrived. I told him I had hired another company who assured me there were no other leaks and he asked if they got in the pool? When I told him no, he advised that they only checked the vertical lines and not the drain or jets on the bottom of the pool. He showed up verified the summer needed to be replaced and put on a wet suit to validate there were no other leaks. Turns out the drain line also had a leak which he was able to fix at no additional cost. Look no further Anthony is the answer. read more

I'm not sure if this guy is still in business. Based on the positive reviews here on Yelp, I'd be very interested in hiring him to track down an air leak in my pool plumbing. I called his listed phone number. Twice. No answer. Left a voicemail. No callback. Used the "Request a Quote" feature here on Yelp for his business. No response. ("Response rate 100%!" Yeah, not so much.) If he ever actually responds, I'll update this review. As it stands now, I assume he's gone out of business...? read more

I trusted Yelp reviews and hired Anthony to detect our swimming pool leakage. It turned out Yelp reviews were true and this was one of the best decision I made! Thanks Anthony for the excellent work. The quality of the work Anthony provided was the best I could imagine. He has most advanced equipment. In my case, he used several techniques. For example, he plugged the water pipes opening, then adding pressure and check whether it loses pressure. He also used detector to check where gas leaks most, etc. Being an engineer myself, I can see the whole process was state of art. It step by step to narrowed down where the leak was. He also did a diving test and checked the pool inch by inch. The whole process took him a day to finish. Eventually, he was able to precisely mark where the pipe leaked. Needless to say, we hired him to fix the leak and other stuff as well. It took him 4 days to finish the job including leak detection. His plumping work was also the best quality I have seen. Besides the best quality of work, Anthony is also a very nice person. He is courtesy. He has no reservation to share his knowledge. I learned so much from him. Beside the major repairs he also fixed a few other things for us. He also had excellent communication skills. He constantly gave us update and what he planed to do. Anthony never asked me to write this review. He deserves to be recognized. If your pool leaks, look no further. I know he got a lot of customers, you might have to wait a bit. In my case, I waited for about a week before he can come to my home as I know the right person and quality of work are more important than doing it quickly. read more

I strongly recommend this service for pool-leak detection. They have all the right equipment to diagnose the problem properly and efficiently, and charge a fair price for the work. They can check each pipeline by blocking it at both end and pressurizing to see if it leaks, and if access is from underwater they have proper diving suites and scuba gear to get to the site efficiently. Anthony is very friendly, knowledgeable, and HONEST! I called him to set up an appointment to check for a possible pool leak. Rather than just setting up an appointment and charging me, he took some of his time, talked about what problems I was having, and helped me set up a quick test (bucket test) over the phone to see if there was indeed a leak. Turns out I don't have a leak after all. So relieved I found him and he was so willing to be helpful and generous with his knowledge and time! Anthony is an incredible handyman - Very thorough, professional, and well priced. I highly recommend. But let me take you back six months ago... My husband has noticed that the pool water has been dropping at an alarming rate, so he called anthony to see if there's an issue. Anthony came as scheduled, chatted with my husband about his concerns, and then inspected our pool for cracks Aquaman-style in a scuba suit. Anthony found that the issue lied in our pool filter, which he showed me through a video he shot with his cell phone. He also told us help us with the problem today, which will hold up for a couple years, or fix the pool filter for a much prettier penny. Fast forward six months later, we called Anthony to fix the pool filter. This is where we found the bodies... I'm just kidding. This is where we found the root of the problem: when the first owner of the house made the pool, they cut corners and was just trying to get it done cheap and fast. Anthony pointed out that around the filter was pool plaster and dirt. The contractor is suppose to pour concrete around the filter. This cheap fix led to a pretty costly mistake. I'm really glad that Anthony caught it. Let me also tell you that Anthony was able to fix the pool filter from start to finish in a day, which took all day, and in 90 degree heat. Couldn't have asked for a better guy to help us with our pool problem. Will definitely call him in the future! read more
