A Pool Experience That Stands the Test of Time…read more Selecting a pool company can be daunting, but choosing Pulliam Pools Houston was one of the best decisions we've made. Their long-standing history--founded in 1918--and their friendly, knowledgeable staff gave us the confidence we needed. Construction on our pool began on July 30, 2019, and just 30 days later, it was fully completed, including the deck. We've been enjoying it ever since! The quality and craftsmanship were outstanding from day one. Even more impressive is their ongoing support. Over the past six years, Pulliam has consistently provided excellent service, whether for rare warranty issues or minor post-warranty repairs. They've always responded quickly and professionally. Everyone we've worked with has been wonderful, but we'd like to give a special shoutout to Robert and Sean--thank you for making the experience smooth and enjoyable. We are so glad we chose Pulliam Pools! The Smith's, Richmond, TX

Pulliam presented me with a design that completely displayed the backyard oasis I had been imagining. From design, to permitting with my HOA, building on an extended patio with a wet bar and vaulted tongue and groove ceiling, the dig, the gunite, plaster, filter, heater/chiller, adding lights and ceiling fans, tile, coping, water features, decking, updating the existing patio, outdoor kitchen, swapping out existing windows in my house with French doors and even last minute changes that just happen when a woman is involved....Ha ha! The communication was impeccable. Even with weather delays they finished earlier than I expected and almost to the day of the quoted lead time. The craftsmanship and quality execution by their crews is fantastic. Robert basically held my hand every step of the way. Shawn, the owner, made it very clear that my satisfaction was paramount. The entire team went above and beyond to make the process as seamless as possible. I am so glad that I selected Pulliam Pools. I would do it all over again with this team.

Last week Brett contacted me again to tell me they finally have the topside control panel for the entire spa.....yeah. Brett showed up early and had the bluetooth system working again. It sounds fabulous, the speakers have high end quality sound and makes the entire spa time even more relaxing. David worked with us during this entire process. I felt so sorry for him as getting the parts were out of his control. Then Brett, total gentleman and professional who explained each step he was taking to attempt to fix the issue, much thanks friend. Thanks to Benny and Jeremy who also stopped by one evening after the completed their spa deliveries for the day and worked well past dark to help. The ladies in the office who kept getting out calls for any possible updates, thank you. We couldn't be more pleased with our purchase back in July and delivery in August. I will update again if anything ever gets finished. I bought a lovely swim spa from Spas Unlimited a couple of years ago. We have enjoyed the spa. Noticed a few issues this spring. Reached out to Esmeralda in service. Paid a Couple hundred dollar service fee. Waited over a month for a Technician to visit. He spend about 10 mins with my spa. Enough to remove filters and the top of spa. He stated he needed a compressor to blow the lines, and the spa jets seemed glued on and were not popping off easily. He left. I truly thought he was either going to get a compressor or have lunch. He never returned. I waited another week to call Esmeralda who stated that they were "waiting to see how the owner wanted to proceed with the repair". I haven't heard back in three weeks. The request for service started back in Spring. It is now almost August. Unsure of what I paid $$ for service call. Absolutely nothing was done. I've been more than patient.

That's when I met Sam--he really took the time to make sure I understood exactly what to do. He also told me to call or text anytime I had questions, and he always got back to me quickly. A couple of months in, my pool heater started shutting off after just 7-8 minutes of runtime without ever reaching the set temperature. That's when I met Mike. He could have easily taken advantage of me as a new owner and recommended an expensive part, but instead, he fixed it perfectly just by cleaning the inside. It's been working flawlessly ever since. Recently, I hired them for full-time pool service, and the care and attention to detail they put into every visit far exceed my expectations. I've only ever dealt with Mike and Sam--the trust I've built with them and the consistently perfect work they've done mean I have no interest in trying any other company. While I've worked with two other pool companies in the past, I found their service and cleaning results to be somewhat mediocre, which is why I'll be staying with PoolWerx.

They are just contractors so they hired other companies to come out here and take care of each of those components. they were too remove the current calcium line first from the rock outline (from my understanding that can bead blasted or another assortment of ways) and then re-stain and seal. But they did not do that they just re-stained it so where the calcium line was before the paint is not sticking. It apparently has a two-year warranty but I have called several times trying to get in touch with somebody and on one occasion I got Letty to answer the phone and she advised me that the company they used for the Boulder stain only speak Spanish so she would call and talk to them for me. But I have not heard back I have been following up for over a year with this issue. There's absolutely no customer service they will not call you back or email you back if there's a problem. So your warranty is basically null & void because you cannot get in contact with anybody. We had them servicing our pool once a week but literally the guy they would send would come out check the chemicals empty the skimmer baskets and occasionally vacuum the bottom of the pool. But he never brushed or kept up with that calcium ring where the waterline is so that ring has just grown out of control again. And I had to remind him when it was time to clean the filters because they had not clean the filters either. So we canceled our weekly service because we just felt $170 was not worth the lack of care for our pool.

He's been flexible with our timing, had a very well thought out pool and construction design (our house is mostly geometrical so we scratched the initial design I brought to him and went with his geometrical design as well as went with his suggestion to have a retaining wall built so that the structural integrity of our pool is not compromised). When you meet Chris you'll notice that he is very knowledgeable about what it takes to build a quality pool. There are many small things that Chris has pointed out that I'm sure any other pool builders would have missed (like pouring the gunite first entrance step one inch lower to compensate for coping, pouring the second step wider so that the overlapping coping doesn't shorten its width and makes it shorter than the other steps etc). We are very happy of our current build (still in the plumbing phase) - I will update this review with pictures of the finished project once it's done! Have already started recommending him to family members who will be building a pool soon and recommend you give Chris a shot too.

We got several quotes and visited with multiple vendors. After much consideration, we decided to go with Waterside. Communication is extremely important to us - and we wanted to be a part of each step. Jackson kept us in the loop as the process progressed. The service that we received was excellent and timely. The project was completed in the amount of time they stated that it would be. To attest to the integrity of Waterside, during the process, our neighbor sustained a minor sprinkler damage and Waterside fixed the damage quickly without any issues. When we ran into an issue with the hot tub, a year after being installed, I contacted Jackson and he personally came out to check on it, found the problem, and fixed it - again with no issues or having to go back and forth about whose fault it was. Our backyard is now a beautiful oasis. The pool and hot tub have been a blessing to us - it has provided a place for my family to relax and spend time together. We highly recommend that if you are considering putting in a pool you use Waterside Poolscapes! Thanks again to Mike and Jackson for making our dream pool come to life!

I hadn't even…read morehit up Waterside on the issue with the landscape irrigation system damage mentioned below, but they hit me up to ask and are compensating for the loss (voluntary, i didn't even ask!). As I'd said below, even with the 1 relatively speaking minor issue, I was still going back to them for any future work. As I said below: I can't even imagine contacting anyone else for my pool system/pool needs. Really exceptional company here. Update: Unfortunately, I do need to knock a couple of stars off. The installation, and equipment used is still WONDERFUL, and done very well, however I have found out that in 3 different places the work they did damaged my installed lawn sprinkler system piping. Worse, this wasn't something they could possibly have not known about as the water supply isolation valve was closed. I've now had to pay for a 2nd job (with someone else) to do all the repairs, and will have to pay for sections of my sodding that have died out as a result of not getting water during this recent dry period (is how i found out there was a problem with the sprinkler system.) I still will use Waterside in the future as their work on the system they were contracted for was still great, but In the future I will follow up and check out other home systems that are anywhere near the location they work in. After this experience, I can't even imagine considering another contractor. My entire pool control system burnt up in a fire. Everything needing replacing, the pipework, valves, pumps, control system, filter, heater.. everything. They scheduled fast (next day). Jeff showed up, did a great assessment, discussed options, and totally worked with my budget. David and his plumber crew, electrician crew, and fence repair crew.. Fast scheduling, kept to schedules, and the work is so professionally done (much more so than the original installers). their selection of equipment was great (went Pentair instead of my previous Hayward system, and I never want to go Hayward again either now). The electrical crew is really where they shined. Very professional cable conduit/cable runs, J-box installation, and cable routing. The concrete pad they poured for the pumps and filter, and 2nd pad for the heater was likewise done fast, and professionally, and just how I'd asked. Will be a return customer for any contractor needs that they cover.

Exceptional Pool Experience with Cody Pools My husband and I are thrilled with the pool built by Cody Pools. From the initial consultation with Alex to completion with Reed, the process was smooth and efficient. Alex and the general contractor Reed were incredibly responsive and helpful throughout, ensuring our satisfaction every step of the way. The luxury and top-notch experience exceeded our expectations. While some pool companies advertise 3-D computer design, Cody Pools truly delivers on this promise, allowing us to visualize our dream pool before construction began. Having heard horror stories from friends about other pool companies, we took a chance with a Texas company and couldn't be happier. If we ever sell our home, we will undoubtedly choose Cody Pools again for our pool needs. It was an overall exceptional experience. Recommendations for Future Pool Projects: 1. Avoid installing barstools in the pool, as they tend to trap and obstruct the pool vacuum, leading to maintenance issues. 2. Invest in quality umbrellas, even if they come at a higher cost. We found success with umbrellas from Birch Lane, which provided durability and longevity. 3. Consider purchasing white lounge chairs from Amazon, specifically the Step2 Vero Lounger brand, which offered both comfort and affordability at $200 each. 4. Prepare neighbors for potential noise disruptions during the early stages of construction. While it may be loud initially, the skilled workers quickly progress, and the noise becomes more manageable over time. Despite the initial disturbance, we found the professionalism and expertise of the workers to be commendable. * Dig 7/20/23 (~2 days of rain in this timeline) * Swam 9/9/23 * Pool cost us around $90k (had started with options around 55k without hot tub). Don't regret a penny, we swam year round and enjoyed the hot tub when it was really freezing.

Here are some things to ask and have Cody pools add to your contract. We signed our contract on September 19th for reference. We started our process in August. 1- timelines... they don't have them and their vendors run the show. The plumbers show up at 12 or 1 and work until 5. Excavation was a disaster and they had to redo it twice to get right slope. 2 - communication... you will be calling and texting your builder who will get back to you when they can. Ours has stopped by 1 time this week to look at something, but hasn't been present when any trade was present. Last week (thanksgiving) I won't count because of holiday and the week before that I checked our camera system and they were here for almost 14 total minutes. 3 - so far I have had to check all the work, bring up the issues, and review craftsmanship. Cody has so far said the fixes are not an issue, but as you can tell this is adding extra work and doubling timelines 4 - they will leave your yard filled with plumbing, debris, food items, trash, boxes, everything you can thing of until the last "final clean up". Please negotiate having some numerous clean ups or your yard will look like a dump. 5 - they have no portable bathrooms for their workers, they continue to pee on back of our house and garage 6 - once your designer passes you off to the construction guy, good luck ever getting a hold of them again... **6a update 11:43am 12/5 - Designer called seeing some photos I texted him and will be talking with building manager who I called last night, texted last night, and texted again this morning for a meeting. 7 - feel free to message me with more questions, I completely understand Covid and trying not to ruin a business as I know the power of Yelp... but this is how much help I need to get their attention to put some focus and attention to our project. For reference I emailed the construction manager as well for an in person meeting next week. (If you see this Cody Pools this is the pool build ongoing off Barryknoll)

I sent Eric a text (I believe it was on a weekend) to which he immediately responded, he came out the very next day which was also on the weekend. He sent a man out from a landscape company to dig out the contaminated soil and re-sod the area where the dead grass was. This level of customer service blows me away. Blue Cube is the real deal, there was no begging and cajoling to do the right thing. They just did it and it was their idea. As for the price, I am amazed they can be so competitive. They are careful about what they take on because they want to be able to provide the best customer service so they have chosen grow their their business responsibly, while some pool services just take on as many pools as they get calls for, Blue Cube limits the clientele to a number that they can manage.
