Not a fan. We actually liked the company we were with when we agreed to try them for a year because their services included fogging the yard for mosquito control. That happened twice, second time we had to request it and were told it wasn't part of their usual services. Not what the sales guy told us. Then in the 10th month they told us they no longer treat inside the home because their product is a barrier to keep pests out. Nope. Didn't work, we've had more activity inside and in the garage over the last month and half since that treatment and none of the creatures were looking like they were dying. Their services were more expensive and mediocre in truth. We usually don't agree to contracts, another red flag. If your services are what you promise to be, you don't need a contract. Five months into our new service with Anthem (which is apparently Aruza), and I'm not impressed. The initial sales call and signup were smooth, but now we've paid for five months of treatments and only received two. We've gone seven weeks between treatments, even though we're being billed every month on the exact same day, like clockwork. When I called for help, they just scheduled my next service without even apologizing for the oversight, let alone issuing a credit for the month we went without service, or offering a plan to get us back on schedule. We're currently awaiting service again, 6 weeks since our last service. It appears their model is to bill monthly, but only deliver service every six weeks or so. The four treatments we have received were okay, although our yard is currently crawling with ants and mosquitoes, likely due to the length of time since our last treatment. Sadly, we're stuck until our contract expires, so I sincerely hope things improve. All we want is a regularly scheduled treatment, since we're automatically being billed every month. Here's a highly negative review based on your experience: Absolutely Unacceptable Service - Aggressive and Disrespectful Sales Tactics I recently had the displeasure of interacting with Daniel from Anthem Pest Control, and it was the most aggressive and disrespectful sales pitch I have ever endured. Despite me saying "no thank you" and outright refusing the service at least seven or eight times, Daniel continued to insist on selling me various services. His persistence was not only annoying but also incredibly disrespectful. To make matters worse, this interaction occurred while I was in the middle of cleaning up tree debris from Hurricane Beryl. I explicitly told Daniel that I did not have the budget for pest control services at the moment. If I were to budget for something, it would be a whole house generator, especially since we were 24 hours into a power outage amid an 110° heat index. This did not deter what was essentially a berating sales pitch (dare I call it a lecture). Grand Harbor in Montgomery (TX) has a no solicitation sign posted at its gates, and I even have one on my house. However, Daniel, riding on his two-wheel hoverboard around the neighborhood , completely ignored these signs. This blatant disregard for rules and my personal space is unacceptable. After ringing our door bell which clearly has a no soliciting sign (violating a solicitors permit), he became really aggressive and inconsiderate of people's time. READ THIS BEFORE CONSIDERING ANTHEM PEST CONTROL!!! I've had multiple terrible experiences with Anthem Pest Control and hope this helps at least one person make an educated decision on their pest control services. Red Flag #1: The salesman, Nathan, was overly aggressive. Despite telling him I was in a meeting, he insisted on staying at my door and even invited himself into my home when I said my dogs weren't friendly as he was "good with dogs" (in his own words). He took my phone and emailed my previous pest control company to cancel my services without my full understanding of the situation and prior to any decisions having come to a conclusion. My mom and I both tried multiple times to get him to leave, but he would not take the hit and insisted on discussing his pregnant wife, their new home, and their new furniture. Red Flag #2: After a routine spray service, in which the technician left my floors and baseboards completely drenched in spray (see photos) I had a severe allergic reaction, breaking out in horribly painful hives. I called 4-5 times in October to ask for the ingredients in the spray (per my allergists recommendation - this would allow us to make an educated decision on what caused the hives) and to speak to a manager, but never received a callback. I only heard from them once in November, but missed the call and as I didn't know it was from Anthem. They did not leave a voicemail, or follow up at any point to indicate that he was calling with Anthem. The only reason I know he attempted to reach me was because I was able to reach the manager at the end of November and informed me that he attempted to call and that there were no notes on my file showing I had requested a call back in October - shows how much this company cares about their customers, right? Red Flag #3: I gave them one more chance in December after speaking with the branch manager, and not only did they send the same technician who drenched my floors - the same one I asked specifically that they don't send - but they new technician they sent then proceeded to soak my cabinets with spray. I had to wipe it all off immediately in hopes it wouldn't stain my cabinets or damage the wood. Red Flag #4: I paid for a full year of service upfront and requested a refund in October to switch to another company. It's now January, and I still haven't received my refund. The branch manager, David (the only person I have been able to get a hold of in 3+ months), has stopped responding to my calls and texts for an update, and the company leaves you on hold for over 30 minutes when you ask to speak to a manager, my guess is hoping that you will give up. Please avoid Anthem Pest Control at all costs. They don't care about their customers, your time, your home, or your health. It is quite obvious that you are just a cash cow to them - unlike what they portray online. read more

Our first experience with a pest control company and our last. Tech would not spray the entire house outside or the garage. We had to call several times for them to come back. When they did, it was the same results. When we called to cancel the person we spoke to couldn't care less. I'm just amazed that they are still in business. read more

The initial service was great and the technicians do a great job at treating my house. But... The service is pricier than what other pest control companies charge. Customer support isn't that helpful. On top of that, you have to read the terms veeery carefully. I didn't and found out that I have to pay monthly even though I'm only getting treatment from February through November. I don't understand why the hell I'm charged for December and January then. This is also extremely suspicious but my initial quote is for $399 with a discount of $199 so it feels like I got a discount. But if I'm charged for December and January with no scheduled treatment at $110 each for these months, is that reaaally a discount? Go with a more trustworthy pest control business. read more

Horrible. I work from home with a no solicitation sign in my yard and a sticker on the doorbell. This did not stop Nate from ringing my doorbell. He proceeded to talk and talk forever even after I told him no. He did this to every home in our neighborhood and the homeowners are not happy. When I executed this contract they offered unlimited treatments for the price as a quarterly. 9 months later I have not been able to get an additional treatment or timely service. The sales side has no idea if you have an account and will text you asking for your business and then send a tech to your house with no confirmed appointment. Hunter in Sales was unprofessional and could care less about directing me to the correct point of contact to discuss the multitude of issues they have. He just laughed and said he's "write a note". Anthem or Aruza, don't even know anymore. Salespeople came to my house several times after being denied. Last one pressured me to at least try their first service and told me the full cost of the initial service would only be 79 dollars, didn't even let me see the full contract as he signed everything himself except for a single line where I had to sign supposedly so they could do the first service. Said there would be no cancellation fee and if I didn't like it I could just cancel. Called to cancel just to have to pay over 300 dollars of some supposed initial discount for the termination to go through. The only other option was to keep the service and pay over 800 dollars for services I don't need. read more

He lied about our neighbors switching to their service (I saw the pest control company they and I both use servicing them today, and it was NOT Anthem). I was ready to rage. We have a very large NO SOLICITATION sign right above the doorbell. I kept saying no and even said I needed to get back to a work meeting, but he KEPT going. It wasn't until I put my hand on the door to open it that he walked out but STILL kept talking. It took another 2 mins to leave. I wish I would have just slammed the door but who knows who this clown is? Would he come back and vandalize the house? Who knows. He clearly can't read, so where does it end? Your service will be every other month, but you will get a bill every month even when you didn't get the service. I tried to call Anthem, but Anthem is a shell company for Aruza Pest control. When you call them you either get someone from the Philippines, India or Cambodia, which is no help. Stay away from the guy on the hoverboard and this company. Terrible customer service. My home was "treated" in December. I was not notified or home when this treatment took place and I was never notified after the service was "completed". I received an email saying I had a bill past due by 21 days. I attempted to call 8 times before being connected to a representative. At that time I was informed that someone had, in fact, been at my house (without my consent). They treated the front yard exterior, made a note that they could not access the back and left, expecting full payment of course. I advised the customer service representative that this was unacceptable, I would pay my bill but wanted all further services to be cancelled. She insisted that a manager would call me. A manager called and left a voicemail while I was at work. I returned the call and left a message that I would just like a final bill and all future services to be canceled. He texted me back stating he was in a meeting and would call back. He did not call back. I texted him asking someone to contact me to settle payment and cancel account. Today they charged my cc without doing the job. We know this because the backyard entry was locked and our security camera did not pick up any movement. Dishonest business behavior. I need to file a dispute with my cc now. The previous experience was bad too. The first time I called them to reschedule due to big rain that day - they came anyways. I doubt it's any useful as totally washed away. The second time the technician showed a photo taken from front yard driveway as an evidence of service. We questioned that as ants still VERY active and security camera did not record anything (auto activated when there is movement). So this time my wife intentionally locked the yard and it happened as you read in the first paragraph. And no driveway photo this time. read more

I was happy until I found out they were charging me double. They admitted to the mistake but because of their policy they will not refund the money they stole from me. I asked that they at least give me the service for the money they already pulled out of my bank account. Instead they froze my account and told me their manager will call me back. I am writing this because I have tried contacting customer service regarding Anthem not completing their service contract. I have had them since April of this year and they have missed two out of 5 appointments. Two of those appointments, the technician did not complete an entire treatment of the house and yard. I contacted them both times and have yet to receive communication for the second service not completed, which has led to more pest issues for my yard. This company is not worth the money and their customer service is poor. read more
