The food was "okay". The price was too high for what the quality of the food was. The service was really good, everything came out fast and our waitress was very nice and attentive. read more

So the first time I dined there was far from a positive experience. But this time was totally different, Jonathan and the the other bartender from Boston were and are awesome. Jonathon more than took care of me leaving wanting for nothing and knowing my needs before I knew I need it. Thank you for your great work and was a pleasure for me to dine there and I will be back. Service is what makes a place great and these two know how to serve read more

Fantastic food and drinks! We came her for a boozy brunch and they delivered. The Peach Bellini was amazing, and same for the Shrimp and Grits. We sat at the bar and the bartender Brooke was amazing! She got our drinks and food out swiftly. She was very polite and held pleasant conversation. We would definitely come here again. read more

I ordered the crab cake Benedict. The eggs on the first order were hard. Sent it back, eggs were perfect nut crab cake was luke warm. First cup of coffee was luke warm, second cup was cooler. A bit disappointed read more

This place is SLAMMIN!! Even when we have used DoorDash for it in the past, it was perfect when it got to the house. Today, we actually went to the restaurant. It was a friendly, open atmosphere. I recommend the Buiscut beignets as an appetizer. They're like little funnel cake balls from heaven. The supreme omelette tastes like it was cooked in a brick oven by a renowned chef!! read more

We were excited to finally get to try this place! We went on a Monday or Tuesday, it wasn't busy at all so we were seated within a few minutes. We reviewed the menu and placed out order. My husband went traditional and got pancakes, scrambled eggs, and bacon. I got the bananas foster pancakes. My pancakes also came with eggs and a choice of meat. I don't eat breakfast meat but I got chicken sausage for my husband. The eggs and meat were fine, although you only get one small chicken sausage, the pancakes on the other hand were undercooked! This was very unfortunate as my husband absolutely loves pancakes but was severely disappointed with these. There was also a weird aftertaste, like too much baking soda in both sets of pancakes. We wanted to love this place, unfortunately, we didn't. read more

Pretty good food. We did takeout for breakfast. The biscuit beignet are definitely something to try.

My wife and I went to the one in Indianapolis and remember having one of our best breakfast experiences! We're very excited to see and know that we now have Another Broken Egg Cafe here! Look forward to getting in there. This is probably a yelp violation but I am posting my rating from our Indianapolis experience. read more

This was a huge let down. The place Tries to be gourmet in ruins to food with a variety of spices that don't go. Flat soda. $79 plus tip for four. Stick with the Denny's grand slam much better lol read more

This place needs to shut down. One of the worst restaurants in town. We have tried this place several times, and had issues each time. We were so looking forward to it opening, since it is our go-to spot when we visit Florida. When my wife told the waitress that her coffee was bitter, the waitress's response was, "Well you should have said something sooner." She only checked on us once, and my wife only took a few sips of the coffee. The waitress was also rude and reached over our food, and when she picked up our dirty dishes, she just put her hands out and expected us to do her job. The manager offered 10% off of the $20 check, which covered about the cost of half of the coffee. read more

The menu had a great selection. Everything we ordered was good and the service was excellent.

It took a while to be acknowledged and seated, which also happened to countless other guests as I was seated where I could see the hostess stand. Food took a while to be served and my husband's sausage patty was raw in the middle - when he bit into it it was mushy and pink. We brought it to the attention of the waitress, who apologized and offered to have another plate made. Second attempt - sausage was just as raw in the middle as the first time. The person who brought it out was passive aggressive and asked my husband to "cut into it to see if it was to his liking" and we informed her that it was not about "to his liking" but about being raw and unsafe. When we discovered the second attempt was raw, she actually asked him if he'd like her to get him some "well done" sausage. He told her no thank you, he would have settled for actually COOKED. The manager on staff did come by to apologize and took my husband's meal off the bill, but if you are serving breakfast food I am of the opinion that you should cook it appropriately so you don't make someone sick with raw meat. read more

I ordered the biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were rock hard and the gravy was more like a pudding consistency with an odd taste. The potatoes were rock hard and the sausage was extremely salty with more than mild heat. The server was OK but was not very knowledgeable about the allergens in the food. Overall, I have to say we won't be back. read more

Yum. The place is beautiful, the staff was wonderful and the food was great. I love this place and look forward to eating here whenever I am in the area. My only wish was that there was one closer to home. read more

We finally found a great local brunch place! Hubby and I finally gave this place a try and it totally blew our expectations out of the water. Despite popping in on a busy Sunday we only waited about 15-20 minutes before being called up and sat at the bar. The bartender/server Kiki was absolutely wonderful. She was so friendly and cheery despite being very obviously busy. They have an amazing food and cocktail menu and it was hard to choose. I finally settled on the Hash Brown Benedict that was composed of ham and cheese stuffed hash brown croquettes topped with a lovely mushroom hollandaise and gorgeously poached eggs and grits for my side. I opted for the mango mimosa. Hubby did biscuits and gravy with the Grand mimosa. We both absolutely loved our food choices! We want to go back and try more of their food and cocktails. This is definitely going to be our go to brunch spot from now on. read more

Asked for my address and phone number. I provided an address but, as expected, no further communication from this business. Guess customer satisfaction is not a priority after all. No problem. Williamsburg has many good places to eat where we have never had to worry about poor treatment from staff. read more

We really enjoyed this place, lovely decor and friendly staff. The Chicken & Waffles with Chipotle honey was a new flavorful twist on an old favorite. The citrus honey served with beignets, yum! Hubs chose from a variety of Eggs Benedict, most restaurants only have the traditional recipe. We will be back! read more

My husband and I have been to many ABEC restaurants throughout the east coast and this has been our first bad experience. The biscuit was rock hard. So, I sent it back. Potatoes were hard, potato-less (just skin) and fried in old oil- tasted terrible. Our server was wonderful tho. All the food tasted bland and old. None of it was fresh. None of it was delicious. read more

Let me start by saying that the food was good. The waiter was good but when I ordered the Lemon blueberry mimosa it did not taste good. The price is 8.99 and so when I asked to change it or not charge me the waiter came back after asking management that he couldn't do that. He asked if he could make it right and I said yes by giving me a different drink. But he said he couldn't. For A drink that expensive they could have made it right. So customer service was not good in my opinion. But if you want a good meal then it was good. read more

Mixed bag on this one. Had only been open a few months. We have visited twice. I didn't review after the first visit because it was opening week-still getting organized. But revisited this weekend and I have questions about the service . The menu is great. The food cooked well. But the restaurant was only half full and yet there was a long wait and loads of people in the lobby still waiting when we left. So many tables available makes me think they are disorganized. I was overcharged for my breakfast $18 for a $12 item - but I didn't make a fuss because our server was brand new. Will probably give them another try to see if they have sorted any of this out. It's a little pricey but I don't mind that if the food and service are worth it read more

I have enjoyed broken egg cafes at other locations, so I was excited to try it in Williamsburg. I called to place a to go order and was told VERY rudely that they do not do to go and that I should just come in. I explained very nicely that their website states explicitly that they do have to go dining. I also explained that in person dining is not a option for my group as we have a member who is post stem cell transplant and extremely immune compromised. Given that it is a pandemic, they have been advised by their doctors not to eat in restaurants. They were extremely unsympathetic and said that there was nothing that they could do. I understand that people are short staffed right now and not all customers requests can be accommodated. But it is 10 am on a Tuesday, they admitted they were not on a wait, and I explained that I was willing to be wait as long as necessary for my food. I will not frequent this restaurant in the future. There are others that are far more accommodating. read more

Eggs Benedict only fair. The white of one egg clear and runny. The hash browns served cold, the waitress replaced and second batch also cold. They were the packaged home fries, not very good. Been here multiple times for breakfast and most times everything was amazing. This most recent trip was anything but. I got the smoked salmon Benedict, one poached egg was fine and the other was a hard boiled egg. Two fresh poached eggs were brought out to "replace" the overcooked egg and they were a runny, inedible mess. Seriously they were almost raw eggs that could be taken back to the kitchen and turned into scrambled eggs. Two other orders of eggs at the table were cold and sent back as well. So 5 eggs sent back... Note to self: another broken egg doesn't know how to make eggs. Service was subpar and server was clearly undertrained. He was nice enough, but didn't know how to make the situation right. No discounts were offered and no apology. read more

This place had the best buttermilk pancakes I've ever had, hands down. Perfectly brown and fluffy. I wish I had taken a picture. Blessed to have found this place and I might drive 3 hours from where I live to get those pancakes again. read more

First time at Another Broken Egg: -Food was delicious, well-prepared and served at an appropriate temperature. My huevos rancheros were the best I've ever had anywhere. -Ambiance was very nice. Modern looking with lots of metal. However, -Noise level was high with a capacity crowd. A large part of the reason for this, in my opinion, is all the hard surfaces reflecting the sound without anything to absorb it. I believe soft-surface baffles hung from the ceiling would help tremendously to reduce the reverberations in the dining room. Take a look and listen to the way the overhead baffles work at The Boathouse in Hopewell for ideas. Having them on the ceiling would also not detract from the modern look of ABE at all. -Service was initially slow. We were seated at one of the pub-height four-tops (not the most comfortable for a couple in their 70s) and a young man who was also working the bar was our server. Immediately after we were seated, he came by and asked for our drink order. Three more times in the next 20 minutes, he came by and said he'd have our drinks shortly. To be fair, he had to clean up broken glass from behind the bar, but still . . . he might have had 30 seconds to get us a glass of water. The timing on the arrival of our food, after the order was taken, was fairly quick. Our 1/2 order of beignets didn't arrive before our entree order, but the young lady who delivered our food immediately brought back the beignets. Kudos to her. Not a five-star rating because of the slow initial service and the noise. We'll probably go back again. read more

They best food here, the Service is incredible they help you with everything! The place is busy but you always receive quality!

Get place to eat food was great and mimosas was amazing I would recommend to the people that is a great place to eat

Had to come back for the French toast yum! They have gluten-free options on the breakfast menu too :-)

Very mediocre food for a very high price. I ordered the Eggs Benedict with a crab cake (one of their recommended items) and was very unimpressed. Service was good, staff was friendly. read more

If I could give this no stars it wouldn't be strong enough to describe the poor service and food. We were greeted with a rude host, followed by a waitress who seemed to have other things to do than take our order. We had a party of five, we received no refills nor checkups after our food was brought out. The chicken and waffles had no flavor, we had to send our side of bacon back because it was burned. We got our bacon back and it was still dry. I would not go back and I would advise others to stay away. read more

I'd give more stars if it wasn't for management. I was there on Father's Day, just like another reviewer (Destyni)... My family put our name on the waitlist online and arrived at the restaurant 10 min later only to be told that the online waitlist isn't honored. So, we put our name on the real list and waited for over an hour. A woman came in, complained about the online waitlist or calling in or something, and then was placed first in line by the manager. When someone told him that wasn't right because people had been waiting an hour or more, he said something rude to them and immediately sat the woman even though her party wasn't there. While the service was great otherwise and the food was delicious, management left a bad taste in my mouth! read more

Do not recommend! The manager (grouchy older gentleman) was SO rude. The shrimp and grits were mediocre. The waffle was good but it was cold. Overall not a great experience and super overpriced. The waitress was great and really nice and the only reason for the 2nd star. read more

The service is meh at best. The food.. the food was absolutely atrocious. I got the veggie omelette.. it was burned.. have you ever tasted burned eggs? It's disgusting. Flavorless, other than the burned taste and simply bad. How do you mess up an omelette? We told the manager.. he couldn't have cared any less.. There was a server on facetime walking around the dining room. Our server came up to us texting. I mean, talk about unprofessional. This makes me sad. It's still a fairly new place and I watched it go up. It's being ruined by lazy unprofessional staff. I hope the owners get it together. This place has potential to be amazing if done right.. but it just isn't.. I'll never come back here for sure. read more

Great menu, delicious food, great service with a pleasant ambiance. We will definitely return and recommend others to do so.

Decided to try the newly opened Another Broken Egg in Williamsburg on Father's Day. We signed in on the online waitlist anticipating a long wait. Waitlist said a 30 minute wait.. when we arrived to check in we we're told that it would be an hour wait as your name isn't added to their list until you walk in. We were okay with that. However, about an hour into our wait, a woman checked in and got upset when she was told about the wait time. She had also used the online waitlist and expected to be seated sooner. Well there was a long line of us that had been waiting an hour. She left, made a call complaining to the manager, and was moved up to be seated before the rest of us. The rest of her party wasn't even there! They arrived about 10 minutes later. When a customer complained about moving her up, the manager was rude to her! Otherwise, the food and staff were great! read more
