Another Broken Egg is a New Orleans inspired cafe offering breakfast, brunch, and lunch. I returned from Florida on a 6:00am Sunday flight and was craving a hot breakfast. A friend suggested Another Broken Egg. We arrived shortly after they opened and luckily got the last available table before the 30 minute wait list. I had no idea how popular this spot was until I looked at the food and signature drink menu and I must say, Impressive. Our server took our drink orders but wait I forgot Tennessee law- no alcohol including mimosas before 10am on Sundays. Bummer. Well water it is. It was our first time dining and unable to get one of their signature drinks. Our server offered complimentary Biscuit Beignets. It was a nice gesture but I was not a fan. Powered sugar and jelly did not appeal to my pallet. Whereas; my friend, who is from Nashville enjoyed every bite. We ordered to share: Yes had to do it...the Mardi Gras omelette without the andouille sausage and a side country potatoes. Absolutely delicious! Shrimp and Grits. The aroma and taste reminded me of New Orleans. Cinnamon Roll French Toast topped with fresh fruit. To die for!!! All is all service was good despite the mid-morning rush, food was delicious, and had a pleasant ambience but can get noisy at times. I usually don't choose chain restaurants in general, but we had a large group and decided to give this place a shot. So glad we did!! I wanted one of everything on the menu. I chose the Lobster Benedict and it was delicious. The highlight of our breakfast was our waitress Bri. What a sweet, young lady! I would eat here everyday if I didn't mind gaining 100 pounds in a year. This place is busy so I went on Yelp and got on the waitlist, which was 80 minutes at 9:30 am. Got there at 10:30 and were seated within 10 minutes. After ordering, they bring you some Biscuit Beignets, covered in powdered sugar with a honey, citrus dipping sauce. Incredible! My wife ordered the Bacquezo Omelette that was essentially an omelette with chorizo. However, the chorizo was super high end (not your normal Walmart brand chorizo in a tube). Great flavor. My Hash Brown Benedict was awesome! They stuff the hash browns with ham and cheese and the eggs and sauce on top were perfection. I added sour cream, cheese and bacon to the home fries, because everything is better with bacon! Just an absolutely incredible breakfast that I would give more than 5 stars to if I could. Anytime I travel with the college that accompanied me to Nashville, I try to get a couple different breakfast spot lined up for him. I found this place fairly last minute and didn't know it was a chain. We came in for a quick breakfast and was instantly wowed by the menu. We were wanting to try everything but we settled on the California Walnut Super Bowl and the Picatta Benedict. They were both phenomenal! I can't talk up this place enough. The food was fast, everyone got the correct order and everyone at my table enjoyed their meals thoroughly. Whenever we visit Nashville, we always try to find new breakfast places. Today, we ate at Another Broken Egg Cafe and loved it! This restaurant is one block off Broadway. We put our name on the wait list which was an hour and received a text after about 45 minutes. Well worth the wait! My wife and I started off with drinks. I had the Bloody Bulldog and she had an Apple Pie Mimosa. Drinks were excellent, I loved the hard boiled egg in the Bloody. For entrees, I had a Southern favorite, chicken and waffles, and she had a veggie omelette with fresh fruit. We shared the fruit and it was very good. If you're in Downtown Nashville and looking for a fun and delicious breakfast, I definitely recommend this Broken Egg! read more

The food was just okay. I did not like the beignets at all. They were cooked entirely too hard. The restaurant has the tables so tight I'm sure to seat as many parties as possible but the servers can barely get through to get your order. It is downtown and very busy so don't expect to come in and get a table. You can't make a reservation so it's a lot of waiting. You can get on the list before you arrive in hopes of your wait time being shorter. They try to move the tables in and out as fast as possible. We waited about 15-20 minutes which was good considering the line. read more

I highly recommend this place. Service was amazing. Our server was attentive and gave great recommendations. We started with beignets and having lived in New Orleans I would say they were close. Nothing compares to authentic French market beignets, but these were good. They were doughnut hole sized, not large pillows like NOLA. They came with an orange marmalade . I would prefer a berry compote, but they were still tasty. The Mardis Gras Omelet was very good, I especially liked the sauce and the shrimp. That mimosa was amazing!!! We heard about this place through an old client of ours!!! We didn't know it was a chain restaurant which can sometimes be a hit or miss. We decided to go anyways cause the pictures on IG looked bomb and all the dishes sounded phenomenal, plus they had nutrition facts which is helpful for those that monitor their intake. When we arrived everyone was incredibly friendly and hospitable! Kayla and Rick were so wonderful!! We had done our research ahead of time and had wanted to try a couple different dishes and honestly we are so glad that we did!! Banana Bread Brie French toast: had a great soft texture to the bread. The bread allowed for a denser French toast feel which was awesome and was also light in banana flavor. Normally we are not into brie, but it was such a perfect addition as it added a layer of creaminess to the dish which was divine! The entire dish was very fresh feeling and very prevalent flavors of strawberries and apples. LOVED the crunch of the pecans the slight sweetness the Raisins added. Cinnamon roll French toast: LEGIT. A MUST order!! The caramel sauce on top was like the inside of what they spread inside of a cinnamon roll. They make their cinnamon rolls fresh there and slice them to make their French toast and holy crap they were so light and fluffy with a great butter and cinnamon flavor. We love sweet and it didn't even need syrup cause it was super flavorful and sweet. The Banana foster sauce on top really added to it!! THE BEST EVER! Lemon goat cheese pancake: We ordered a single pancake cause it sounded sooo good!! The pancake it's self was super light and fluffy with the goat cheese providing a salt component to it. LOVED the fresh blueberries inside and the added lemon zest on top gave it a nice citrus element. Brisket Jalapeño Benedict: This dish was actually lighter then expected. It was mild in the jalapeño spice and the brisket was very thinly sliced similar to roast beef which we had never had. It was tender and juicy and there were hints of sweet green Chile. We got it with grit which were delish and tasted amazing adding that to the sweet bbq hollandaise sauce. They also have super fun and delish alcoholic drinks for you to enjoy!! It was such a great experience!! Will definitely have to try them out again!! Thank you for everything!! If you are looking for a cafe with a modern diner feel with a full service bar, this is the place for you. The service was gracious and efficient, the food was as described on the menu and a bit above average. On the lobster and brie omelet I would have rather known the brie cheese was just a few cut blocks of brie opposed to it being melted. However, let me tell you about their barista house made coffee. To die for if you are a diner coffee person, a perfect blend of boldness and nutty. I did ask for a mint mojito mock-tail but they were out of mint. Where do I begin? We sat at the bar and our server/bartender was one of the coolest people I've ever had the pleasure to talk to. The drinks were excellent and with great variety and the coffee was nice, hot, and fresh (with the exception of the incredible cold brew of course). The pancakes. The bourbon street pancakes were LIFE CHANGING. I've eaten at a lot of brunch places over the years and these were by far the best pancakes I've ever eaten. We had the worst service experience from the manager Kim this morning. She treated our large group terribly. She seemed upset we had a large party then was demanding why we did not add a 5 month infant to our party. She was a baby who sat on her mother's lap she was unable to even go in a high chair.
