We checked in ahead of time per the website and it saved us the hour plus wait on a Sunday brunch. Service was well paced considering how packed they stay. Me wife loved the Bourbon Street Pancakes (some of the best she's ever had) the and my daughter was pleased with her meal s as well. I had the Mardi Gras omelette which was good but not great. Upgrade to City Grits. It's located out of the way of Broadway but and gets a split of tourists and locals. Affordable and fair priced for downtown. We had 3 meals and two cocktails under $70. We went twice while we were in Nashville for the weekend if that tells you how much we enjoyed it! We loved that there were lower fat choices and lots of different vegetable options like asparagus, mushrooms, tomatoes. You could sub out any meat with chicken breakfast sausage that was really tasty. My side of fruit was really fresh. My husband had the regular breakfast, which is like eggs, sausage, or bacon and toast and grits. The grits were so amazingly creamy. They had mimosas and different breakfast drinks. On Sunday they don't serve alcohol until 10 AM which is a Nashville or Tennessee rule. read more

A friend suggested Another Broken Egg. We arrived shortly after they opened and luckily got the last available table before the 30 minute wait list. I had no idea how popular this spot was until I looked at the food and signature drink menu and I must say, Impressive. Our server took our drink orders but wait I forgot Tennessee law- no alcohol including mimosas before 10am on Sundays. Bummer. Well water it is. It was our first time dining and unable to get one of their signature drinks. Our server offered complimentary Biscuit Beignets. It was a nice gesture but I was not a fan. Powered sugar and jelly did not appeal to my pallet. Whereas; my friend, who is from Nashville enjoyed every bite. We ordered to share: Yes had to do it...the Mardi Gras omelette without the andouille sausage and a side country potatoes. Absolutely delicious! Shrimp and Grits. This is such a great foodie brunch spot. The staff was friendly, the service was remarkably fast, the price was reasonable, and the food was amazing. The food was just okay. I did not like the beignets at all. They were cooked entirely too hard. The restaurant has the tables so tight I'm sure to seat as many parties as possible but the servers can barely get through to get your order. It is downtown and very busy so don't expect to come in and get a table. You can't make a reservation so it's a lot of waiting. You can get on the list before you arrive in hopes of your wait time being shorter. They try to move the tables in and out as fast as possible. We heard about this place through an old client of ours!!! We didn't know it was a chain restaurant which can sometimes be a hit or miss. We decided to go anyways cause the pictures on IG looked bomb and all the dishes sounded phenomenal, plus they had nutrition facts which is helpful for those that monitor their intake. When we arrived everyone was incredibly friendly and hospitable! Kayla and Rick were so wonderful!! We had done our research ahead of time and had wanted to try a couple different dishes and honestly we are so glad that we did!! Banana Bread Brie French toast: had a great soft texture to the bread. The bread allowed for a denser French toast feel which was awesome and was also light in banana flavor. Normally we are not into brie, but it was such a perfect addition as it added a layer of creaminess to the dish which was divine! The entire dish was very fresh feeling and very prevalent flavors of strawberries and apples. LOVED the crunch of the pecans the slight sweetness the Raisins added. Cinnamon roll French toast: LEGIT. A MUST order!! The caramel sauce on top was like the inside of what they spread inside of a cinnamon roll. They make their cinnamon rolls fresh there and slice them to make their French toast and holy crap they were so light and fluffy with a great butter and cinnamon flavor. We love sweet and it didn't even need syrup cause it was super flavorful and sweet. The Banana foster sauce on top really added to it!! THE BEST EVER! Lemon goat cheese pancake: We ordered a single pancake cause it sounded sooo good!! The pancake it's self was super light and fluffy with the goat cheese providing a salt component to it. LOVED the fresh blueberries inside and the added lemon zest on top gave it a nice citrus element. Brisket Jalapeño Benedict: This dish was actually lighter then expected. It was mild in the jalapeño spice and the brisket was very thinly sliced similar to roast beef which we had never had. It was tender and juicy and there were hints of sweet green Chile. We got it with grit which were delish and tasted amazing adding that to the sweet bbq hollandaise sauce. They also have super fun and delish alcoholic drinks for you to enjoy!! We were a party of 2 and went around 10 AM on a Saturday--definitely put your name on their online list before you go; there was a 30-45 minute wait if we had just shown up and waited, but we only waited for about 10 minutes after our 10 minute walk from our hotel. Our server (I forget her name but wow she was so nice!!) made many suggestions and was attentive to us the whole meal, even with a full section. Definitely try the biscuit beignets (thank you to our sweet server who gave us these for free just because my boyfriend had never had a beignet!!), the Eggs Blackstone Benedict, and the Sunrise Spinach Scrambler. Came here because my friends insisted I try waffle and chicken when I come to Nashville. I came for takeout. They took of me to the bar. The lady there was very friendly took care of me the payment let me come back in 15 to 20 minutes. Left and came back picked it up. I ate it. It was good even though I still did not get the waffle and chicken. The place was well decorated and nice looking and spacious inside. I believe there's a covered Parking 10 yards from the entrance. I took an electric scooter to come here. I was not comfortable eating outside across the street because of so many homeless people looking at me as if I were a new competitor to them. read more

I will tell you it was the tastiest and most perfectly cooked bacon I have ever had. I would go back just for that. I had the strawberry pound cake French toast which was delish. We came here for breakfast. Use the great Yelp reservation system--I love it! Best reservation system ever! Service was excellent. Food is freshly made and very good. It's just a block from the Broadway clubs and close to the River and Stadium--it's in the middle of all the action. My partner did not want to come back again and I was hesitant too for one reason: We wish they could just have had a build your own Omelet on the menu. With their offerings trying to modify them to just an Egg White Omelet with some Veggies was hard. And for sides--we just like it simple stupid. No concoctions and keep the salt away from the chef. We like freshly cut potatoes no salt. A pancake. Some greens. Oatmeal. Yogurt. If you are looking for a cafe with a modern diner feel with a full service bar, this is the place for you. The service was gracious and efficient, the food was as described on the menu and a bit above average. On the lobster and brie omelet I would have rather known the brie cheese was just a few cut blocks of brie opposed to it being melted. However, let me tell you about their barista house made coffee. To die for if you are a diner coffee person, a perfect blend of boldness and nutty. I did ask for a mint mojito mock-tail but they were out of mint.
