FANTASTIC brunch! Really enjoyed the food & environment here. Everything was delicious but the spicy tuna crispy rice takes the show! Service was great! Reservations available and recommended!

We (4 of us) did a brunch here and we all said it was great! I had the quinoa bowl. Scrambled egg, quinoa, black beans, avocado, cotija with a great sauce and chunky potato's. Yum! Others also had the quinoa bowl and the original egg sandwich. An extra order of bacon topped it off. All great! Coffee was rich & delicious. Service was quick & friendly. Oh, yea- I'll be back!

I recently visited The Henry with a group of friends, and overall it was an interesting experience. I've been to both this location and the Dallas one before, so I went in expecting a reliably pleasant dinner. Parking was a bit confusing for some of my friends, but once we arrived, things moved quickly. After checking in with the hostess, we were seated right away, and our server was reasonably attentive throughout the evening. We started with the spicy tuna on crispy rice--clearly inspired by Nobu's signature dish. It was a solid interpretation, though the rice leaned a bit too oily and could have used more seasoning to really bring it to life. For drinks, our group ordered an Old Fashioned and one of the featured cocktails. The Old Fashioned was a hit, but the cocktail fell a little flat--so a bit of a mixed bag there. For my entrée, I ordered the roasted chicken frites. The chicken itself was cooked properly, but the skin was unfortunately quite soggy, likely due to the garlic sauce. It also seemed like the dish may have sat in the service window for a bit before reaching the table, which didn't help. There was also an overwhelming amount of sauce--so much so that the fries were completely soaked and lost their texture. The few fries that weren't drenched paired really well with the truffle aioli, which was a highlight. My friends ordered the Bolognese and the Wagyu cheeseburger, and both described their meals as fine, but not memorable enough to warrant a return visit. Overall, The Henry is a convenient option if you're already in the 12 South area, but with so many standout restaurants in Nashville, there are definitely stronger choices nearby.

Where to begin...? We were early for our res. We were greeted with a smile and were seated in our desired location. This place is perfect. Atmosphere was quiet for 08:30 on a Sunday. Need I mention the Bourbon list. Quite impressive. Our server was Fuller. He was so kind and so generous. When he heard we were celebrating our 28th wedding anniversary he brought a delicious caramel roll. Amazing! Thank you for allowing him to do this. Our breakfast/brunch was great! Smoke salmon bagel was so delicious! True colors Morton for (sshhhh a little but major Bagel spot by Vanderbilt). Our other meal was so packed with amazing flavors! The California bowl. My goodness so delicious. Thank you for a wonderful experience and fantastic service. Also, thank you to your hostess and other colleagues. We did some shopping talk too and found out we can find some amazingly stylish boots right at a local chain store. Best to make a reservation here but please make this a stop on your list for things to experience in the 12 South area!

This was my third visit to The Henry, and it's remained consistently good every time. The food was flavorful, the cocktails were well-made, and the service was friendly without feeling rushed. The butter cake is a must try and I'm not even typically a dessert person. The atmosphere strikes a nice balance between upscale and comfortable, making it great for brunch or dinner. Bonus points for validating parking, which is a huge plus in the area.

Review for Valentine's Day: We had a reservation for Valentine's Day & had a great experience. My wife has been here for brunch before but this was my 1st visit. Parking: of course being in 12 South, free neighborhood parking is always easy to find with a short walk (just make sure it's not in residential permit areas). Service: service overall was very friendly, attentive, & efficient. We never felt rushed & the food & drinks came out quickly with the pre-fixe menu. We did wait a little while past our reservation time but of course it was packed being Valentine's. Food: food was really good! Casual upscale, good quality, & good portion sizes. We ordered the smoked salmon & caviar, truffled Brie toast, seared ahi tuna, braised short rib, chocolate fudge pie, & lemon olive oil cake. I also ordered the house wine pairing. Ambiance: They had live music this evening. We were seated near the bar but it was not too loud. The overall dark ambiance with the music gave off old-school vintage romantic vibes. Very pleased with our date night here. Highly recommend for a nice dinner out.

The Henry delivered a really lovely experience overall! We were there celebrating my friend's birthday, and it was the right spot, The service was amazing--they surprised the birthday girl at our table with a free dessert, which was thoughtful. My salmon entrée was incredible, easily one of the best meals I've had in a while. I was taking notes! The Christmasy vibes were fantastic and made the whole night feel extra special. They also have great bathrooms. And I believe they validate parking in the back. The only downside was that, despite having a reservation for quite a while, we were seated on the ground floor, which was a bit disappointing given how nice the rest of the space is. Still, the food and service made it a memorable visit. I will be back!

Overall it's good but I wouldn't rave about it. In my opinion best part was the ambiance and environment. Our waitress was so nice and was very helpful throughout. My meal was the Rigatoni Vodka which was ok, I think I can make better at home. Only thing special was the burrata on top which could have melted a bit more. The appetizer pf Brussels sprouts was the best part of the meal. The drinks were good, I got the spritz which was pretty good. Allergies beware!!! I have a nut allergy and sooooo much not theme has nuts. Both deserts we ordered were topped or covered in nuts. The lemon olive oil cake was topped with almonds, we were given the name "fudge pie" and it was actually a peanut brittle esque crust with peanuts as a topping and a "garnish" of peanut sauce covering the entire bottom of the plate. I can't complain too much cause I did not let her know (because the menu did not list many nuts if at all) but you should say Peanut Fudge Pie or say nut in the name.

A trip to the Henry will literally turn a BAD day into a GOOD one. Top Dishes: The Braised short rib on a bed of mashed potatoes, the Bolognese, and the Korean steak. The chocolate fudge pie with peanut butter sauce is so dang good. Do not skip dessert. If you're full then order a piece to go. The Henry: please don't ever take this off the menu. The friendliness of the servers is five stars. I walked to the bathroom and had no less than 3 servers smile & say hello. In a world full of people staring at their phones, it was really refreshing. And most restaurants waiters are rushing around in the weeds. But this place has an elegance to it. And it makes all the difference in the customer experience. IG Lillypulitzerstylist

We loved the vibes at The Henry and our food was simply delicious! The atmosphere is old school/old Hollywood, yet casual enough to be comfortable and not stuffy at all. Our server made excellent recommendations. We chose the crispy rice tuna appetizer- wonderful. Entree's were Korean flank steak w fried rice - my daughter said it was great. I had the salmon- it was perfectly cooked and seasoned.. My daughter and I both loved the flavors in our dishes. Wine selection was great. For dessert we LOVED the molten butter cake. We can't wait to come back and try more menu items. Everything we had was 10/10.

This was my first time to The Henry and it will NOT be the last! Omar was a phenomenal server, very attentive. The drinks were delicious. The brussels were flavorful. My chicken frites was tasty! Proportions were good size. I can't wait to go back and sit on the patio!!

Made a reservation a few days in advance for date night but the had limited availability. We were planning to get a drink at the bar before but were pleasantly surprised when they offered to seat us an hour before our reservation time! We started with a dirty martini (tiny tini) and the southern city mischief. My partner and I split the short rib potstickers for an appetizer. They were so flavorful! Amazing sauce. For entrees, we split the skirt steak and bolognese. The steak was great, a little spicy. The bolognese was good and very filling. We were stuffed by the end of our meal. We got great service just felt a little hot in the restaurant but that was likely because we were sat by the deck doors. Overall, super enjoyable and great date night spot!

A new place in 12South. Super lovely place. It's a whole lot bigger than it looks from outside. Theres a downstairs that's first come first serve. Then there's upstairs where you can wait to be seated. Because 12South gets pretty busy it's good to make a reservation. We ordered some appetizers and a burger and they were pretty average. Everything is on a pricier side. I would have to try out their different selection to truly comment on the food. Staff were very attentive and kind.

Located in the Gulch, it was just a short Uber ride from our downtown area hotel. Before we were even seated we were already enchanted with the adorable 'cow bee' t-shirt. Get it? Milk and honey? Cute huh? Our table of 7 women ordered a variety of brunch sandwiches and biscuits. While everyone enjoyed their meals, I can only give specifics on what I ordered. I had the Mr. Croissant with home fries, and because I wanted to try the biscuits, I also added a biscuit with honey and butter to my order. The croissant and biscuit were great. Next time, I'd give a miss to the included home fries and opt for the fruit instead. My vanilla bean latte was very good and my friend loved her mocha. To celebrate the Birthday Girl, we ordered two bottles of champagne and two flights of juices to make mimosas. We all took homemade strawberry pop tarts to go. Their biscuits have consistently been among the best in Tennessee. And honestly, I'd put them up against just about anything across the entire South. They're light. They're fluffy. They're fresh. And they hit the mark every single time. Then there's the candy bacon. I'm not entirely sure what kind of magic is involved in making it, but I do know that it has become one of the things I look forward to every time I start planning another trip to Nashville. Some people plan their itinerary around museums and historic landmarks. I plan mine around biscuits and candy bacon. And I have no regrets. The eggs are fluffy and cooked perfectly, and in more than a dozen years of eating here, I honestly can't remember ever having anything that was subpar. Now, a little practical advice: be prepared to wait in line. But stay in line. This is not the time to see a long queue and decide that you'll just go somewhere else. The line is part of the experience, and the food is worth the wait. Nashville has no shortage of breakfast options, but Biscuit Love has earned its place as a must-stop. Five stars. After all these years, the biscuits are still among the best I've had anywhere. That kind of consistency is rare. And yes, the next time I'm planning a trip to Nashville, Biscuit Love will be on the list.

We had made a reservation, and our table was ready immediately, making for a smooth and stress-free start to our meal. I would highly recommend making a reservation at least a day in advance--two days if you're visiting on a weekend or during peak travel times. It was clear this place is popular, and for good reason. Our server, Cody, truly made the experience unforgettable. Hands down, he is the best server I've ever had anywhere. He took the time to thoroughly walk us through the menu, explain the daily specials, answer all of our questions, and offer recommendations based on what we were looking for. His knowledge, enthusiasm, and genuine hospitality elevated our entire dining experience. We ordered the pancakes, omelets, and of course, the famous biscuits. The biscuits absolutely deserve the hype! They were warm, buttery, fluffy, and practically melted in your mouth. The pancakes were light, fluffy, and delicious, and the omelets were cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. One thing I really appreciated is that while Loveless Cafe offers a supper menu in the evenings, breakfast is served all day. That's perfect for anyone like me who believes breakfast tastes good no matter what time it is! It's easy to see why Loveless Cafe has become such a Nashville staple. Between the warm Southern hospitality, outstanding service, and incredible food, this was an experience we'll be talking about long after breakfast. If you're visiting Nashville, or even if you're a local who hasn't been yet, put Loveless Cafe at the top of your list. And that Candied Bacon -- OMG. That was so good! It's definitely pricey, but worth it (IMO). The Pancake Pantry team work amazingly well in the organized chaos. They move quickly in turning over tables, but somehow never made us feel rushed. Really great experience. We'll be back!

I had heard so much about Pancake Pantry in Hillsboro Village, so I finally decided to give it a…read moretry. With all the great reviews, I had pretty high expectations. We waited 30-40 minutes in line just to get a table, followed by another 15 minutes for the food to arrive. After waiting nearly an hour, I was honestly expecting something exceptional, but I came away feeling underwhelmed. They have a huge variety of pancakes on the menu, which is impressive, but the flavors didn't really stand out. We ordered the Sweet Potato Pancakes, but they didn't really taste like sweet potato. The Blueberry Pancakes were good but felt like something you could get at many other breakfast spots. The hash browns were another disappointment--they were essentially just grilled, smashed potatoes and lacked the crispy texture I was expecting. I also ordered the Chorizo Quesadilla, which tasted pretty plain and could have used much more seasoning and flavor. The French Toast was good, but the real highlight of the meal was the hot chocolate. It was rich, comforting, and easily my favorite item we ordered. Overall, I can see why this place is popular, but for me, it didn't live up to the hype or justify the long wait. The food was decent, but I don't think it was worth spending nearly an hour waiting when there are plenty of other breakfast spots in Nashville serving similar quality without the lines.

Their text system for handling that was efficient and we were all lucky to find a comfortable place to sit both inside and out. Our waitress (Amanda) was sharp in terms of communication, understanding our selections, friendliness, and the ability to move a lot of plates (with food or not) without losing balance. Our table near a front corner was also pleasant and comfortable. Gayle and Erin started off with a pitcher of Mimosas, while I went for OJ and Coffee, and Jim Coffee. Our selections involved 2 orders of Waffles, 1 set of Lemon/Blueberry Pancakes, and French Toast. Meat sides were evenly split between Andouille sausage (for a little extra spice) and bacon, while eggs were either poached, scrambled, or over easy. I especially appreciated that my "Poached Hard" request came back spot on. The Pancakes/Waffles/French Toast were all light, tasty and well served by the maple syrup. It was all delicious and perhaps too much food. We were all happy with our choices and appreciated our upcoming walks to work all this off.

Once inside the staff was so kind and helpful. Our waitress was the best! They did have Gluten Free options which was very nice and they were good. I ordered the Cold Brew and it was gross. On a scale of 1 - 10 I would give it a 5 on cleanliness. I guess they allow pets so we listened to this dog bark as the owner threw waffles on the floor for him to eat. I happened to not be a pet person so this was a struggle for me + I felt bad for the dog. All those dirty feet walking on that floor and that dog was eating off of it. Didn't feel right. They did mess up our bill and we ended up realizing after that we over paid. Overall I do not recommend and wouldn't go back. If our waitress wouldn't have been amazing this would have been a 1 star review.
