Amazing cinnamon roll French toast!!!! So good and a cool specialty that you can't get everywhere. Homemade... I ordered to go but it was quick and good service. Yum! read more

Great first time! Had the Hawaiian French Toast and my husband had The Popeye. We both enjoyed the beignets. Will definitely go back again!

GREAT breakfast! I'm in town for 2wks and this will definitely be my go to breakfast spot. Good southern grits turkey link sausage and gluten free items offered also. The service was excellent...kind & friendly with a smile. It gets crowed on the weekends especially Sunday's but if there's space at the bar it's just as comfy plus you get to watch a little TV. Enjoy! read more

Went here yesterday for brunch and will never go back again. Server was extremely rude and only came to our table 3 times. Forgot our food and would not even give us 1 refill of coffee. My pancakes were cold and tasted stale. Manager and server were also extremely rude to the table of 6 behind us that was seated at 4 top when they asked to move the tables together for more space. Go to canopy road for 10x better service and food. read more

Love their crab cakes!!! They have the best mimosas!! Nice cozy place! Instantly felt at home!! Hate that they close early, but it's worth it. read more

Been to this chain several times when I lived in Atlanta- food was OK, but had the BEST sausage patties ever......drove by this location all the time, had a craving for sausage, thought I'd stop in.... Sausage as good as ever, but everything else AWESOME as well - great Mexican omelet - potatoes perfect- I'll be back! read more

Food is out of this world amazing along with great service! I will be back my next time in Jacksonville

"A" for originality, quality food, pleasant staff and atmosphere. A wee bit tight! Out door dining, so on a pleasant day that's a real nice plus for Jacksonville. Before 9 it seems to be busy. The Mediterranean potatoes are a great twist on the breakfast menus, not good if you plan on making out or talking to the boss. read more

Arrived at 1:59. They had other people still seated & eating. Closes at 2:00. Would not seat me. Bad form. Too many places to eat a good breakfast. I won't be back. read more

Amazing food, went there for brunch! Service is great! Only downside is wait can get very long to get in at certain times (but that just reflects above quality). read more

Sat at the bar with Randle and Dominique. It was pretty busy on a Sunday for brunch and they took good care. They essentially left me alone but checked in right on time, always. I had the shrimp and grits and OH MY WORD.... It was the bomb and pretty inexpensive too. I highly recommend! Negative- I honestly don't have anything negative to say about this place! read more

Absolutely yummy! We went at 10:45 on a Sunday morning and were sat in about 25 minutes. Our server was fast and friendly. I had the Bacquezo omelette and it was delicious. I never would have thought about putting cream cheese in an omelette, but I will definitely add that in the future! The chorizo was fantastic. My husband had the Southern Crabstack. He thought it was really good, but the grit cake could have had a little flare. It was slightly bland. The shrimp, sausage, crab meat, bread, and sauce were delicious. He would have liked a little more sauce to be able to dip the bread in after he finished. Overall a great Sunday Brunch. We will definitely be back because there were so many items on the menu that we want to try! read more

For our first visit here, I had the Floridian omelet with side of hash browns. The omelet was excellent, but I found the potatoes a bit over cooked for my taste. My wife had the southwest chopped salad and said it was very good. Daughter in law had the cafe burger and gave it a thumbs up. Our granddaughter ordered the foster's waffle and left her plate empty. Service was right on and our server Brandy was very attentive. A definite four out of five stars. We will be going back. read more

Good breakfast food! Food was cooked just right, hot when it came to the table and the server was prompt. Outside seating was comfortable and dogs are allowed outside. Will eat here again. read more

The service was great and menu was AMAZING, The FOOD..SUCKED and in no way represented the menu. I was so excited to order and couldn't wait....and then the layered lemon blueberry goatcheese pancakes were not layered no sauce and half a spoonful of cheap brie...the hashbrown eggs Benedict was over cooked and the poached eggs were cooked til they were like hardboiled just awful...we were just terribly disappointed. I think the chef is a bad fry cook. read more

This place is always hit or miss for me. I go in open minded, but sometimes I'm still disappointed. The wait time for brunch is really bad, but you can avoid by making reservations online. I do enjoy waiting at home. This is one of my boyfriend's favorites. I'm not much of a fan. read more

As we were waiting to check in I watched one host yelling at the other, and that should have been the first sign that we should have just left. Instead, we put our names down on the wait list and was told it was about a 35min wait. They use a text based system and I received the welcome text shortly after I gave them my number. The inside waiting area is tiny so we decided to wait in the car. I downloaded the NoWait app, which after 45min still said that there was 1 party ahead of us, so we decided to go in and see how much longer it would be. Once inside, the hostess told us that she crossed our name off of the list for not responding. We showed her our phone verifying that we didn't receive a text so she gave us a buzzer for the next table. The new parties checking in were all using buzzers, so I'm not exactly sure why that wasn't used in the first place. I can only assume that perhaps there was a system issue with the text system, but without anyone actually giving us an explanation for the mess up, I'm really only guessing. So now after about an hour, we're seated and hoping this place would redeem itself, but again, we should have known better. It took a while for a server to finally come to the table and when she did, she probably said about 10 words the entire meal and only came by the minimum amount of times to get us through the meal. She took our order and brought drinks, accompanied the person who brought our food, and eventually brought the check. I think she might have said thank you after she cashed us out, but I can't be 100% sure as she pretty much dropped the check and walked away. To make things even worse, we happened to be seated behind the host station, so we were lucky enough to get to hear the hostess's complaints throughout our entire meal. It was awesome.. Aside from the atrocious service, the food was OK. I had the Benedict Oscar, which wasn't bad.. But not great either. My rare steak came out medium well and the whole dish was luke warm, but by this point I was starving and would have pretty much eaten dirt if I had to. Unfortunately, this was our first visit to this place and needless to say, will definitely NOT be coming back. read more

This place is delish, but a little hard to get in to sometimes during busy hours. The black bean eggs benedict is my go-to!

I've visited this location several times now and, while I think the food is pretty great, the service has never been great. The servers never look happy and seem super rushed. This could potentially be the servers, but likely the way the location is managed. There could be more servers to help with the busy weekends, better hiring process, more efficiencies with how food is ordered and brought out. I'm not behind the scenes so I couldn't know exactly how to correct, but it's likely not just one thing. In my picture, I'm wondering how it's thought to be ok to bring these pancakes out with an add-on of strawberries and bring me 1 strawberry. When I mentioned to the server, he did bring more to the table, but it just shouldn't get to this point and be classified as an average rating of 4.2 stars currently. This is just one thing I'm pointing out. It's not the only reason for the lower rating as I've already made those points earlier. I'd love to come back, but tired of the lackluster service. I'll take the Metro next time. read more

Another great place for breakfast, I love the little mugs they serve the coffee in. I just hate the wait. Everytime we visit there is a super long wait. Maybe they should expand the restaurant. Service is ok read more

Went last Thursday morning with some friends after getting home from vacation. The food was good, but the service was slow. The restaurant is pretty small and it wasn't busy, but it took around 45 minutes for us to get our food. Overall, good food so I cannot complain too much, but the time it took for the food to come out was a tad ridiculous. read more

Always have amazing breakfast here. Today our server was Moe on the patio, and she was spectacular! It's hard to find service workers who actually want to serve and attend to their guests, so I make a point to review those that do. Only downside to this place is having to plan ahead and join this waitlist, to avoid an hour long wait. read more

I've been in Jacksonville over two weeks now and in those two weeks, I've been here twice!! The customer service was excellent and the food was just as good! My favorite is the Belgian waffle with an order of fresh strawberries and powdered sugar on top!! So very delicious!! I will probably stop by one more time before I leave because they don't have food places like this back at home lol oh and I forgot to take pictures of my food because honestly it didn't last long once the waitress bought it out to me lol read more

Fantastic breakfast and a great Bloody Mary. Service was excellent and friendly. They also had several gluten free accommodations.

Would have to say I am not big into going out for breakfast as its usually simple food but I wasn't disappointed by this place. We found a free coupon for some benqetts which were amazing. Then I went with the burrito and was very good. Good sized and quality ingredients which is always a plus. We sat in the bar like area but you could see that the place wasn't very big and can see it getting packed on weekend breakfast rushes. The also had some outside seating which would be awesome as I live sitting outside. Besides the small size which didn't effect my visit the service was great and food was great. Little on the expensive side but worth it for the quantity and quality of the product. Would definitely go back again for sure just probably not on a Sunday morning.. Lol read more

We had brunch there today. We asked for a table seating 5 adults and 2 small children. We were told that we would have to sit at two separate tables even though there were two tables right next to each other we had to sit at two tables away from each other. They explain because we got there 40 minutes prior to closing they were unable to accommodate us. Food was good and the server was very nice. But experience wasn't as nice as it should have been. read more

It's good. Everything was fine and okay. Really fried food. But that's most breakfast places in Jax. Looking or something more gourmet. A lil over priced. It's not bad, but we probably won't be back to soon. Like a Denny's meal with a better presentation. read more

The wait is a little to long but using Yelp app before hand is a good thing.. food is amazing will come back for sure!

The sausage gravy with the biscuits and gravy was good, but the biscuit's outside was incredibly stale. The house sausage was overcooked and over seasoned, very oniony. The blackberries and grits were a fresh idea. The honey marmalade with the beignets was delicious, but the beignets were overcooked. Basically the food was ok but the ideas of the dishes were better. We arrived at noon and our waitress didn't return after taking our order. Other people brought our food out and we flagged someone down for drink refills eventually. Management was awesome and took care of us, but it isn't a place that "wowed" any of us or I would pick out of breakfast spots in Jax to recommend or return to. read more

We ate here at Another Borken Egg. arrived 8:15 Sunday morning and the place was full so we sat at the bar. Two TV's showing sports so it was all well. Service was fast, menu was interesting as it went for the daily specials. I had the salmon with spicy slaw which was hot. The other item we had was the yogurt with blueberry couscous. The blueberry was hard to like but was not bad. The salmon was cooked perfect and very good. Drinks of coffee and OJ were perfect. We would eat here again no problem. read more

Place and menu looked interesting so decided to try it out. Sunday was busy, as to be expected. Decided to sit at the bar vs wait 45 mins, for a table. Not a good choice. Service was mediocre, at best. Got coffee...had to ask for a spoon 5 mins later...got water....had to ask for a straw....got a refill later....had to ask for more sugar/cream. Ordered an appetizer...had to ask where it was AFTER they brought our main meal. What we didn't have to ask for is our check. That came very quickly and without asking. Turns out that it was no busier than any other Sunday so this type of service may be the norm. Food was ok. Homestyle potatoes were too salty and hard (deep fried). Pecan pancakes were good but like CB's better. SW omelette was flavorful. Coffee was bitter. Maybe it would be better to try them out during the weekday...we'll see. read more

I've been here twice on the weekend and there is usually a wait unless you are there when they open. The beignets are an amazing starter. The orange marmalade (with peels included) is my favorite. The breakfast potatoes and egg sandwich are delicious and the coffee is good. I've also tried the hamburger which was just alright. Staff were friendly and the restaurant is clean. Prices were in line with other full service breakfast places around town. read more

I went to my first ABEC in Atlanta and tried the granola, fruit & quinoa bowl and became absolutely obsessed. I searched everywhere for breakfast quinoa to make at home and it wasn't just the same. So excited that now we have ABEC in Jax. My granola, fruit & quinoa bowl in Atlanta was loaded with strawberries, blueberries and blackberries. I was so disappointed that the one in Jax came with a small serving of blueberries. Also the presentation of the food in Atlanta seems to be of a higher caliber. It seems the staff here doesn't care as much with presentation of the food. read more
