I used to enjoy doing brunch here with friends but last weekend was the worst service I had. Reserved online over an hour before the expected time and still waited another hour before being seated which is absolutely ridiculous considering I saw plenty of other people arrive after us and get seated. The hostess had to worst attitude and one had the nerve to stay charging her tone but I didn't call out her tone knowing it's was my friends birthday. While having waiting a few friends decided to grab drinks at the bar and after a friend was given her coffee was told "Is that it?!?!" Wow - amazing customer service. After complaining about the wait and finally being seated over an hour past our requested reservation time it took another 15 -20 mins to be greated by our server. Shockingly when ordering biscuits for brunch was told to hold on bc they were sold out earlier. This was unexpected. Our pitchers and spiked coffees sat at the bar getting watered down, we almost got them ourselves but waited to see how long they would sit there, over 15mins. The spiked salted caramel is usually the MUST and it was awful. The rim was overly salted more than a Margarita glass, watered down and the caramel appeared to be missing. Major disappointment . Food was ok, had better in previous visits but honestly this past visit makes me want to never come back. read more

Really need to improve on the amount of time a party has to wait to be seated as well as the amount of time it takes for a server to greet and service the table with drinks. I thought our table had been forgotten and finally asked the host who then sent a sever over to get our drink order. Wish this was the first and only time these events occurred but it wasn't. read more

Improvements in Wait Time with Yelp check in have helped tremendously! Changed my review from 3/5 to 5/5. 30 minutes to wait this time which was way better than 1-2 hrs previously. Food was great as always. Shrimp and grits is always flavorful and filling. I had the Strawberry Lemonade Sparkler which packs a punch! read more

I've been to "Another Broken Egg Cafe" in Pensacola and it was always good. This one? Not at all. One set of eggs were running all over the dish so that had to be remade, the egg whites were full of water, the bacon was undercooked and English muffins were burned. The server was friendly so I'm giving 2 stars. Total waste of $30 for breakfast. We left and went to chick-fil-a...no lie. read more

We came for breakfast on a Thursday morning. We sat outside. Very pretty atmosphere & had a great waitress. Food was pretty good. I'm a big grits fan and they were pretty creamy much better than similar breakfast places. Eggs Benedict were decent. No complaints here. We will be back read more

Based off an amazing experience with Another Broken Egg in Destin, Fl we wanted to dine with them again. Jacksonville did not offer the same great experience. The wait time was excessive, no biggie, if told that upfront. We were told 45 minutes every 30 minutes, and then told they do not have the capability to handle groups of 5. While waiting, we noticed lots of empty 4 seater tables with the available room to add one...instead they sat 2 people there. Flow management was lacking and the first come first serve approach left gaps in service potential. The waitstaff was pleasant and the food was good; had we not had such a terrible wait, I believe the experience would have been good. read more

The most unprofessional staff I have dealt with in a long time. The servers need retraining because they obviously don't care about the customers. If you don't want to work take your behind home. My husband and I sat at the curbside pick up parking for close to an hour after calling three times someone server had the audacity to say they were busy and we could come in and grab the food. Isn't the point of curbside is to call and they bring it out? I WALKED IN TO FIND THE SERVER TALKING CRAP TO THE MANAGER ABOUT MY HUSBAND AND I CALLING. It was quickly intercepted because I cleared her up and she couldn't say a word. I will not be returning to the place ever. read more

Awesome place for brunch! Definitey use the app for your place in line, it gets packed. Otherwise, good food, drinks, mimosas. Definitely recommend! read more

Omelet and scramble were both way too salty. Potatos came as a side for a "gluten friendly omelet". We checked after we received the order and saw that they indeed had wheat in them. For someone with celiacs please be careful. For the price, we probably will try somewhere else next time. read more

When I learned that they did mimosas and morning cocktails I'm like I will be back! I loved all of the options on the menu. I ended up getting the lafattite breakfast burrito. It was OK a bit moist for my liking but very flavorful and tasty. I like the openness and the options to eat inside or outside. I will definitely be back as this was my first visit. Me and my coworkers often look for places to eat for breakfast I will be recommending this place. Admittedly it is a bit pricey but I enjoyed my visit read more

We arrived around 7:40 a.m. The place was pretty empty, a few at the bar seating area, we thought it was going to be a breeze. Until....we waited for about 5 minutes for the hostess to return to the podium to seat us. We're now seated and greeted by our server. Nice girl, polite and pleasant. Menus presented. I love the coffee...didn't really like the empty creamers containers in our just brought out to us creamer bowl.....flurry of fruit flies???? Lots of swatting going on....Ugh! Our food arrived within a reasonable amount of time. I ordered the lobster brie omelette, my son ordered the crab cake benedict. My selection was okay...the omelette was just a little over cooked (chef...pay attention) The potatoes were the best. I might give this place another try...but if the fruit flies present again....deal breaker. read more

I had the Lobster Crawfish bowl. My second time trying it. Still enjoy the overall flavor. The first time I tried it it had a good kick (spicey) taste that caught me off guard. I arrived and was informed that there would be a 30-45 minute wait for a table and was promptly placed on the wait list. I walked down to Starbucks, got a beverage and walked back while waiting for a table to become available. While standing in front of "Another Broken Egg" a father and son pulled up and also got on the wait list. A few minutes later I received a notice telling me my tablet was ready. My girlfriend and I went back inside to be seated. She took us back outside and attempted to seat us a a table directly in the sun with absolutely no covering or shade. I told her that table was not acceptable and asked if we could get another table. She said ok and walked us back to the hosts station. The father and son duo came in to the hosts station and she seated them at an empty table inside the restaurant. Her actions really made us feel like we were not being treated fairly. Because of the positive reviews about this place, I pushed thru that ordeal and continued to wait paitently. After another 10mins I received another notification that they had a table ready. We were seated, received a menu, and instructed to wait for out server. Our server came and we ordered a water to start while we looked at the menu. The water had a really funny taste to it even with the lemon in. Again, we didn't let that keep us from attempting to salvage our first time at a brunch dining location that was recommended to us. We ordered the "Shrimp and grits" and the "hashbrown Benedict." The food came out promptly. The gravy on top of the grits was awesome and so was the sausage but that was the only flavor in our meals. We informed the server that our food was not up to par.. she took the plates and showed them to the manager; she returned and told us the there would be no charge. We left. read more

UPDATE: I went in, and had a horrible experience, Waited over one hour and the food and coffee came cold and the waitresses talk to me like I was a idiot, and the manager says the bill would be taken care of, but hey we got the bill anyways and he gave a coupon. Definitely had an amazing first experience. We already anticipated the wait, especially on a Saturday morning. We did our research and read the yelp reviews trying to find the most popular thing on the menu, browsing through pictures an everything but when we got there everything pretty much went out the door. Put our names on the list and not even a minute later and we receive a text saying welcome of Another Broken Egg and that we'd be receiving another text when our table was ready.... SUPER COOL. Wish more restaurants utilized this type of communication. When we got the text that our table was ready, we were seated and our server promptly arrived at the table for drink orders and all that jazz. I ordered the smoked salmon benedict, which was although no hollandaise sauce which threw me off a little because I thought that's what made a benedict, a benedict. Oh well, I could be wrong about that but, I'm a sucker for capers and they did have some of those sprinkled over top. So kudos on that. The service was phenomenal and the coffee cups are pretty sweet ended up purchasing one before we left. But nonetheless, great experience an first time for the Breakfast Club at Another Broken Egg. read more

Not too impressed, but that may have something to do with the face that mine was a takeout order, but that really shouldn't matter. Ordered the traditional eggs Benedict, and holy salt! The ham was a gargantuan slab of meat that was probably 1/2" thick, tough and incredibly salty. Once I put that aside the rest was decent - nice job poaching the eggs, but the hollandaise was kinda watered down. Overall wouldn't be too bad if it wasn't for the ham! read more

We were told there would be a 30 minute wait and we waited patiently. By the time we sat down, the place emptied out. From beginning to end, the service was HORRIFIC, from both the waitress and the management!!!! She took forever to come, took our drink order, came back 15 minutes later. We asked her for 2 coloring pages for the kids as we had noticed that the table that arrived AFTER us had gotten some for their kids. She left and came back 15 minutes later without the pages. We finally ordered and waited and waited and waited. We finally lost it when we saw the large table that arrived AFTER us got their food. E asked to speak to the manager whose first question was "are we staying"? I am LIVID with the service!!!!! If my kids weren't STARVING, we would have left and went somewhere else. As soon as they brought us our food, the waitress went to go get the check and was basically throwing us out. read more

I am really starting to question the validity of Yelp! reviews. When arriving to Broken Egg, we were immediately seated. The server was nice. The food however was terrible. We ordered a supreme omelette and the B.L.A.S.T. The supreme was to be filled with sausage, bacon, onions and mushrooms and topped with cheddar jack cheese. The sausage was MIA. My wife finally found a few pieces by tearing apart the omelette but, it was a pointless search. The best description would be to call it a greasy over salted hot mess. As for the BLAST, it is listed as "Baked bacon, lettuce, avocado, Jack cheese, fried green tomatoes with Cajun rémoulade on nine-grain bread." Mine was Burnt bacon on Burnt toast, Avocado, Regular tomato (not fried green that I ordered), and Boring mayo hoping to be a rémoulade. As for their potatoes, Broken Egg is not shy with their use of sodium chloride (NaCl). The rest of the day I was desperate for water to offset the intake of salt from that meal. YMMV, but this is not a place that I can tell anybody to go based on the quality of the food. read more

I've been going to this location for awhile, but lately the food can be hit or miss. The service was good, but the quality of the food wasn't. The scrambled eggs, instead of being hot and moist, were just warm, dried-out, and in hard clumps. The grits and toast were also cooled down and dried out. More disappointing was the staff's reluctance to approach other customers who were rudely face timing at their tables creating such a noisy and distracting atmosphere. Another Broken Egg is not a place to go for a peaceful, relaxing breakfast. My money is on Metro Diner. read more
