Food was AMAZING! My family and I were visiting Jacksonville, FL for Memorial day weekend and went for Sunday brunch. It was so good that we went back on Monday morning for breakfast before we got on the road back to Georgia. read more

Food is great my wife and I have eaten here several times and always pleased with the menu items there only draw back is the wait time to be seated, so I suggest the no wait app, hours of operation are not ideal since this place sits in the same parking lot as a hotel, that being the reason for such a long wait at times. read more

As soon as my fiancé and I walked in, we received attitude from one of the hostess. She looks like Ms. Trunchbull from Matilda. She has zero customer service skills and very rude! She threw the utensils on the table at us. If she had set it down in a nice way it would have been better. After dealing with her we just wanted to get our food and leave. The food here is disgusting and tasteless. Never again. We will be taking our business to Metro Diner. read more

Great brunch spot that we come to a few times a year and we're never disappointed...until today. We sat at the bar and I really wished we hadn't based on what we were able to see. The bartender is really friendly but questionable health wise. Champagne was sprayed over every surface, mixed have been sitting out before we got here and still haven't been put away. She came over 20 minutes after our order was given to ask what we actually ordered because she forgot and never put it in. I was turned off my appetite after watching her take an empty, used glass, dump the ice out, and re-rim it and make a new drink and gave it to a DIFFERENT customer. Cooler door has been left open for 15 minutes at a time. Food came out okay, salad was warm and tasted off. She seems nice but spent too much time chatting with friends than to pay attention. The woman next to us was handed a hot plate and told after the fact and she had already burned herself. We'll leave this on our breakfast list but I think we'll sit far away from the bar and not order any specialty drinks. read more

Waited an hour to wait I am okay with that waited over an hour for average food and no updates from our server and the ac wasn't working

This is a very cute little place with extremely good food! I was also very pleased that they had a gluten free jumbo pancake my daughter could enjoy since she has celiac. I had the hey Lucy which was an omelette with breakfast chorizo, green chilies, onion, avocado, tomato and cheese. It had the perfect amount of kick. My son had the crab cakes cavallo which is one of their specialty eggs benedict and it taste delicious. Our bill came to about 50 bucks for the three of us with coffee and two apple juices, so it's moderately priced but very filling and pleasing to the taste buds. read more

This is my favorite breakfast spot! They never disappoint! I always get the skinny omelet and make substitutions for the sides, which never seems to be a problem read more

The server was good, the food was okay. Huge wait times just for breakfast but thankfully used the Yelp wait list. Not sure why there's an hour and a half wait times? There's nothing spectacular about this place. read more

Decided to give this place a try because of the hype. Maybe they were having an off day but the only good thing about our experience was being able to check in through Yelp. Waited almost 50 minutes for our food. Meanwhile it was hot with a constant swarm of gnats and flies- and we were eating INSIDE. My daughters bacon burger came out with no bacon, which I will say they took off our ticket. My omelette was not an omelette, but looked like a scramble that was shaped like an omelette. Everything was mixed together and it was almost burnt. My husband said his eggs Benedict wasn't bad but not worth the almost hour it took for our food. Meanwhile I don't think our server checked on us once. Someone silently refilled our waters once during the hour but that was it. Would not return. Too many places in Jacksonville to get breakfast to deal with all of this. read more

We took our out of town relatives to a brunch restaurant today. We called The Broken Egg restaurant on Southside Blvd. and were suggested to get on the waiting list online on Yelp. I scheduled time at 11:56 am on the Yelp waiting list. However, once we arrived at 11:53 am we were told it may take a while and there were forty some on the list but twenty some ahead of us. We waited inside as it started raining. At approximately 12:40 pm there were several tables empty on the outside patio and 3 tables of 4 available inside for a period of time. After reviewing my online reservation I asked for an update and was told the tables would be filled eventually. We were seated a little while afterwards. My wife ordered the lemon goat cheese pancakes. Very little if any cheese in the cakes. She didn't want to send back. The restaurant was busy upon our arrival but after some patrons departed it was less crowded. It appeared that employees were busy but tables not turned over timely. Also, some syrup and other condiments did not appear clean. Her eating utensils were dirty and had to exchange. We do not plan to return to this restaurant. read more

I ordered the lobster and Brie Absolutely delicious. The only thing is that they should repaint the yellow warning stripe on the front step cos I tripped on it and really hurt my self. Long wait but definitely worth it. I would love suggest that you use Yelp to book ahead. read more

Third time visiting this restaurant. Got there at 1 pm and was told there was a 30 minute wait, so we grabbed 2 open seats at the bar. Then 10 minutes later got a text that table was available. 3 women at end of bar were sitting and laughing loudly, actually cackling and it was very distracting. Food was good and friendly service. read more

This was ok. I still like First Watch and a couple of others better. It was a bit pricey compared to the others.

Worst customer service I've experienced. Waiting 45 min for food and nothing. 2 families seated after received food and we ending up just leaving because our food didn't show. First time going and not impressed with the customer service read more

Waste of time. Waited so long for my food I started to grow a beard. Go to first watch down the street.

We walked over for breakfast from the aloft hotel and so glad we did. We had about a 10 minute wait but it didnt take long until we were seated. Our server Natalie was fantastic, she was friendly and helped us with our breakfast choices. Since it was out first time there they gave us a sample of the biscuit beignets. Whatever you do, DO NOT eat them, they are sooooo good and highly addictive. Next time we're in this area we will definitely stop in read more

This restaurant is only 10 minutes from my house, saw a good review and decided to try it. Toke about a hour for a table and 45 minutes for our food. Checked in for a table for 2 at around 11am on Yelp and didn't get our food until 1:45 pm. Ordered a pumpkin spice iced coffee, tasted like regular coffee with just ice, no pumpkin flavor or creamer in it. Had high hopes for the food because of the wait for everything but our pancakes were dry and my Crab Benedict was cold. Probably won't come here again..... read more

This amazing spot is perfect for brunch, it was about a 20 minute wait and the restaurant is just as noisy as it is busy, but well worth it, We started out with the cinnamon roll appetizer, I had the Crab Cake Benedict with a Bloody Mary and it was perfect! Definitely wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was! I have been here once before and got the banana foster french toast it was good, very sweet and huge portion. The city grits are the best grits I've ever had, but I usually don't like grits, they're are a game changer! This time I got a Southern Crabstack and OMGGGGGGG!!! it was to die for! It's gonna be hard to try something else after finding this on the menu! My boyfriend got a meat lovers omelette he tore it up! Definitely coming back! Expect a wait to be seated but once you sit the service is really quick and friendly! read more

Doesn't even deserve one star! Service was terrible I placed my order at 12:44 on the phone it's past 2pm and I still haven't received my food. I was told 30 minutes ago that my food was being bagged up by the manager and now I'm being told my ticket was lost. I asked for them to remake my food (which they should've offered) because it's the least they can do. Restaurant needs better management and more organization. I don't even want breakfast anymore smh. Never coming back. read more

I've started to try different restaurants for breakfast on Sunday mornings and this morning landed me at Another Broken Egg Cafe. I chose this restaurant for two reasons. One is because it has received good reviews on Yelp. Two, it was in close proximity to the town center. I arrived approximately 9 am and opted to sit at the bar since there was a 20 minute wait for a table. Randyl was my server and she started me off with a spicy Bloody Mary. They use vodka that is infused with hot peppers. My first sip took me by surprise but I really enjoyed it. If your not a fan of spicy Bloody Mary's, I would stay away. Because of all of the reviews, I had to try the City Grits. They definitely held up to the hype. I didn't need to add any butter or salt because they were perfect. I then ordered the Floridian omelette filled with cream cheese and topped with crab. The omelette was cooked just right. Not too runny or over cooked. The only thing I would change the next time is to ask for light cream cheese. The home fries were very crispy too. Overall, I had great food and great service from Randyl and I will be back. read more

Great little breakfast place near Tinseltown & Tapestry Park behind Aloft. Several kinds of Benedict, many omelettes, breakfast wraps, huevos rancheros, good coffee, a medley of breakfast adult drinks (Bloody Mary, mimosas, bellinis). I recommend getting something with chorizo; theirs is good. The potatoes upgrade to Mediterranean is worth it; wedge potatoes with feta cheese & crisp onions with olive oil. Fall Harvest specials sounded great too (such as Belgian waffles with apples & Brie). We will be back to try more! read more

Another Broken Egg Cafe - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Jacksonville, Florida

Ohmygod so good. I first visited this chain out in Pensacola, where a local friend insisted it was the best place for breakfast. She was obviously correct, so I was very excited when one opened up here in Jax! I finally got a chance to get out here recently, and I can say for sure that it's a can't-be-missed meal here as well. Of course, everyone else knows this, too, so it's a mistake to arrive, as I did, after a mountain bike ride, freshly showered but not fed. A friend had put us on their waiting list and we had about half an hour to go when my husband and I arrived... about an hour later we were finally seated. Luckily I knew we should order the biscuit beignets (of deliciousness!), so I got my tummy squared away while we perused the menus. Here's how much I trust this place: I hate grits. Well, no, hate is a strong word, but I have rarely found a bowl of grits that I actually like. But when I saw shrimp and grits on the menu, with shrimp and sausage and peppers and onions, I decided to go for it. And I was rewarded with the cheesiest, creamiest, spiciest (due to aforementioned extras) grits I have ever had. Why can't all grits be this good? I also grabbed a bite of my husband's omelet and his side potatoes, and they almost made me wish I'd ordered an omelet instead, except that I love me some shrimp and sausage. This will definitely be a regular brunch spot for us, if only so that I can try all of the delicious things and eat all of the biscuit beignets they're allowed to serve me. Mmmmm. read more

We stopped by Another Broken Egg Cafe after our group finished a race. I tried to "join the waitlist" on Yelp but due to having a larger party it said to "see hostesses". I called up and Anthony said just to join the list and he'll make the note that it's 11 people. The staff was very accommodating in getting us a table all together in a timely manner, especially considering how busy they were. While we were waiting, they gave us cups of coffee. When our food arrived our sons order was wrong, it contained eggs. We requested no eggs due to an allergy. Not only did they apologize but made him a fresh plate immediately, and offered up fruit to him as well. It's apparent that they work together as a team! It wasn't just our server that attended to us. Others refilled our coffee and delivered our food, checked in to see how we were doing, and cleared our plates. The food was good! I had a spinach omelette, but tried several others at our table (pancakes, Mardi Gras omelette, shrimp & grits). It's nice to find a place were the food and service match! Thanks for a great meal, and fantastic service! Team RWB Jacksonville! read more

The food is delicious. The only downside is the long line to get you seated. But maybe because if was Sunday and it was brunch time. I highly recommend southern crabstack. read more

The food is great. Very creative - more than just your usual omelet with some sort of breakfast meat, which you can get anywhere. I like the Hey Lucy! omelet - a bit heavy but very tasty with chorizo and avocado. My friends ordered the veggie omelet and the oatmeal, both of which were also very good. So the food itself rates five stars, but the service is even better. Our server, Eric B, was very helpful with menu recommendations and kept our drinks filled. He was also very entertaining and helped make it a very fun breakfast. I was also impressed when our high-maintenance friend sent her grits back for being not warm enough. Not only did our server promptly bring a replacement, but the manager came by to apologize and to make sure that we were otherwise okay. I just think that's good service. Definitely the best breakfast option on that side of town - looking forward to trying it for lunch. read more

Terrible service. Extremely long wait time. Both dining in and ordering to go. I will never be back.
