Shrimp & Grits at this place is worth coming for alone but they have so many other great items on their menu.

For my first time at this restaurant it was a DREAMBOAT. From the moment I walked in the hostess was so sweet and made a personal connection with me. When I met my waitress Kenia, I knew my day was made. She went above and beyond to make me and my family feel like we were at her own home and we were family. She was so fabulous and made great suggestions. Will be back again, and hope we can see Kenia! read more

Today is the 8th anniversary for my husband and I. We started our day off with breakfast at Another Broken Egg. We were quoted a 30min wait but was seated sooner yay! Customer service here is really Great! Starting with the hostess! Dawn was our waitress she was so Awesome! Very attentive & pleasant with our 1yr son who was with us. The food was so Good. I had the lobster & brie omelet with city grits. Didn't have to add a thing to it. The flavors of the food were Perfect. 1st time I've been to a breakfast place & didn't need to add salt or pepper to something. The complimentary beignets were tasty as well. Overall great experience! read more

Everything was delicious. I enjoyed the crawfish scramble and peach cobbler pancakes yummieee. My partner enjoyed the banana foster belgian waffle. Like I said everything was soooo delicious. Our server was great. We will return. read more

I've been to this place since it's opened and it is my go to restaurants but it's cozy service is excellent and the food is to die for

Another Broken Egg makes amazing breakfast food and even more amazing early morning cocktails. Their strawberry lemonade sparkler is delicious, as is their spiked Nutella iced latte. The latte in particular is really creative and so tasty. It had a tiny little beignet on top and a strip of bacon as well. Everyone knows that the way to a woman's heart is through bacon. Their omelettes are also truly phenomenal. I'm high key in love with them. My first time here, I got the lobster and Brie omelette and on my second trip, I got The Floridian, which is an omelette with crabmeat on top. Both were absolutely delicious, but the lobster was my fave. That Brie! Soooo good. They're also served with home fries, which are okay, but definitely not the star of the dish. On my most recent visit, I also got a free order of their biscuit beignets for participating in a run that was held nearby. The beignets are pretty good, and I'm always on the hunt for beignets after my first taste of heaven-in-dough-form on a trip to New Orleans. Another Broken Egg's version is not a traditional beignet, so if that's what you're looking for, beware. They're bite sized and a little more dense than a regular beignet. I will also say that I'm not a fan of the honey marmalade dipping sauce that comes with it. It was too much sweetness for me. The service here is great and the waiters and waitresses are super friendly. The most important thing I could tell you about Another Broken Egg is to add yourself to the wait list on Yelp prior to your visit (I think they also use nowait for their wait list, too, but hey, you're already on Yelp right now!). I've done it both times I've been here and my experience was definitely better for it. The first time I came, the overall wait time was about 45 minutes, and it was HOT outside. Luckily we didn't have to wait that long because of the app. They also don't have very much waiting room for a place as popular as they are, so more than likely you'll be waiting outside or smushed inside with a bunch of other people. Adding yourself to the wait list is easy and you'll probably be less frustrated by the time you get to eat. Overall, I absolutely love Another Broken Egg. I'll be back again and again because I'm a breakfast fiend and they definitely know their way around an omelette. read more

I literally don't understand the hype. The wait times are ridiculooooooous, and the food mediocre. If the food doesn't seem like the best thing ever after waiting for what feels like the equivalent of standing in a line at Disney then you know somethings off. I've had better breakfast and I just can't do long lines like I used to. Just my opinion. read more

horrible service. floors and windows dirty. orders for simple omelette was wrong and sent back. final product was runny and tasteless. no cheese was in it as was on the menu. mushrooms were canned and tasteless side of potatoes were cold an mushy. child's order of chocolate chip pancakes with whip cream came with no chocolate chips and no whip cream. the staff was cleaning the floors and stacking condiments while customers were still eating. will never go back. read more

Great coffee! They even have coconut milk available for it which was delicious!! They have a tomatillo Bloody Mary with garlic and cilantro and their special pepper vodka which I enjoyed. Great eggs and bacon. I didn't like the banana foster. The sauce is too sweet and the pancakes not great. The sausage is home made which I can appreciate but I didn't like the flavor. If I go back I'm getting a traditional breakfast and coffee! Overall I'm glad they are at the beach! read more

EASILY the best breakfast place in Jacksonville! I came here to meet an old friend for breakfast and was absolutely blown away by the food and service. I had the crab cakes and fried green tomatoes. The crab meat was very juicy and filling and the tomatoes were fried to perfection. My server LaKel was very friendly and attentive to our needs throughout the entire meal. I would recommend this spot to any local or person visiting the area. 10/10 would recommend! read more

I like coming here and sitting at the bar on Sundays. Cocktails are on point and the bartenders are friendly. It does get crowded so expect a wait for a large party at peak times. Food is yummy - nothing that will blow you away but it hits the spot. read more

This is my favorite breakfast spot. Everything I have had here was delicious. The customer service is amazing. I tried the crab cake Benedict and my egg was over cooked so my yolk was hard. I didn't say anything I just ate my meal but the manager walked past and noticed right away. He apologized and offered to make me a new plate on the spot. Places don't treat you like that anymore so it was refreshing. They are a little on the pricy side compared to other places but the food and atmosphere make up for it. read more

This is one of those places that has both equally strong pros and cons that it always becomes a debatable should we go or not discussion. The pros: Great breakfast food - their city grits and biscuits and gravy options are so good and filling. Dog-friendly - dogs are allowed on the outside patio. Its one of the only places besides Starbucks on that area that allow dogs. Good Coffee - I don't drink coffee but have heard many times its enjoyable. The cons: The service - unfortunately they are known just as well for their poor service as they are about their delicious food. The service is consistently under par and it feels like most of the servers are either hungover or in a daze and have no sense of timeliness. Such a bummer because it really is a great place besides the lack of service. Adult beverages - Not that great or worth it especially the bloody mary. Crowded - You need to either get there early in the morning or after the breakfast rush. On the weekends there is usually a long line out the door but they are not that great at managing the lines. Overall, great food but under par service. However, it's one of the few dog-friendly breakfast/brunch places at the Town Center. read more

Gluten free menu offerings are delicious staff always kind. Wish waits were shorter but everyone knows it's good so worth the wait.

Received wonderful, attentive and speedy service! However, the food was just okay. The fried green tomatoes were a bit soggy, but the crab cakes were better. The aesthetic is extremely dated and mediocre. Not much effort seems to have been put into it. But, the drink my friend ordered was cute & delicious. Not a bad experience overall. read more

Our party had a great experience here after our run. Yelp said there was a 0 minute wait, but that wasn't the case when we arrived. The hostess did apologize, and worked with us. I ordered their Eggs Benedict & fruit salad. I loved that the fruit salad included pomegranate & kiwi. I tried their spiked coffee and it was pretty good too. read more

This place is worse than a Disneyland ride where you not only wait almost an hour to get in but you also wait another 45 minutes to get served your food. The food was not worth the wait at all. We came for brunch which was close to noon and they already ran out of some of the items we ordered. Forget the beignets . It is literally nothing but fried oil. I also ordered some iced coffee and when I asked if there was more than one size the server was nice enough to say she would put in a bigger cup. She did not however say that she was going to charge me twice the amount of regular coffee. She also did not remember to remove the tomato which we specifically said not to be included. For a $50 breakfast for two this place is so disappointing. Never coming back. read more

Unbelievable. Food is fantastic. And service is great! On some days, the wait is kinda long, but that's what's to expect at a Resturant with great food and service! Wait wasn't to long. And in my opinion, the Resturant needs to be bigger to accommodate all of us hungry patrons! read more

My husband and I stop by for bunch on a busy Saturday morning after hearing lots about this place. The staff was incredibly disinterested in what they were doing. Bring out the wrong food at first and then serving it the correct food cold really put a damper on the mood. When it was brought to the attention of our server, she really offered no solution to fix the problem. Thus leaving a bad taste in my mouth literally and figuratively. read more

Pretty decent food, good service. Found blue rubber in the shrimp and grits. Manager was a Karen about it. Our server was nice though.

I discovered this place in my search for all things beignet, lobster, and crab in Jacksonville. Because I love beignets, lobster, and crab. From perusing their online menu I saw that they had biscuit beignets, omelettes with crab and lobster included, and other such options that were just all around appealing. And like any place you know is going to be delicious, they were only open for breakfast, brunch, and early lunch: that 7 am - 2 pm life. Time to wait for seating was honestly what was expected of a place like this. It was packed and plenty of groups were waiting for a seat, about 30 minutes to an hour. And looking around at the tables outside and the food people had ordered only made you hungrier. Once my friend and I were finally seated (after a slight name mix up), we made a beeline for the drinks choices. Originally I had only gotten a cup of coffee - which was an adequate cup of coffee, you add your own cream and sugar - but my will was weak and I ordered a peach Bellini as well. Best start to the mid afternoon anyone could ask for. It was bubbly, it was peachy, and the alcohol was well concealed. Truly refreshing. Just how I like it. It took me a while to decide in an omelette because I am well and truly selective about things I don't eat. I love pretty much all food. Save for most dairy and Mexican. Finding an omelette without cheese was near impossible. I'm pretty sure all of them came with cream cheese - I love cream cheese - and some other form of cheese - not a fan....unless it's mozzarella. I decided on The Floridian: cream cheese, crab meat, Monterrey jack, and green onions. Sans the Monterey Jack. (You can get egg whites for an up charge). I love a good plate of country potatoes so I got those in place of the Mediterranean potatoes. The crab meat and cream cheese was combined on top of the omelette and I don't regret a single bite. I don't regret a bite of that whole meal, not even the green onions which I don't like and could have requested off but I didn't. They have the little packets of jam on the table as well and I was beyond thrilled to see they had blackberry (my favorite!) which I spread on my English muffin instead of my he Butter that came along with it. Those country potatoes were perfectly seasoned and fresh from wherever they came from. I'm very much looking forward to a follow up visit at Another Broken Egg. read more

The breakfast options here are unique and delicious! On separate visits, I've tried the shrimp and grits, lemon blueberry goat cheese pancakes, scrambled eggs and house made sausage, the lobster n Brie omelet, and house ABE infused bloody Mary. Arived at the restaurant at around 11am and the place was packed. Make sure to arrive a little earlier to avoid peak brunch traffic. We waited about an hour to be seated but it was expected. I can say that they did a little better on this trip. I did have to ask for a bar towel to wipe up a sticky spot on the bar. The place was close to empty again and it will take a bit to get the word out. Today I ordered a Marti Gras omelet with shrimp, crawfish and Andouille sausage. The eggs were cooked right and fluffy with plenty of fillings. The sausage is still out of the package and the shrimp out of a bag. The sausage had some flavor and the shrimp were not killed in the pan. It was a good breakfast and better then my first visit. read more

Not a good experience. Firstly, the service. Aloof, uninterested- slow. Took 20 minutes to get drinks- another 15 to take our order. I ordered the burger- mid rare. It arrived 30 minutes later- well done. Sent it back and didn't see it again- probably for the best. Sampled the other dishes at the table. Hashbrowns? Laughable- deep fried over salted potato squares. Not good. Smoked salmon benedict? Oversalted again- overcooked eggs- clumsy capers everywhere, low quality salmon- and soggy english muffins. No hollandaise sauce- so it was dry. Don't worry- we ordered some on the side- and they brought it out cold in a plastic container. Nice. No wait- not nice. Awful. Chorizo egg dish was again, oversalted and clumsily presented. Across the board the food was not good, overpriced, severely oversalted and presented poorly. You're way better off at First Watch. Or Waffle House honestly. read more

So, I ordered from the Jacksonville location via Door dash. Where should I start? The food was not appetizing and it had no seasoning, I added an order of pancakes got no syrup, no silverware and the food was extremely cold, which indicates that it wasn't freshly made. Finally, I had several pieces of other food in my takeout container that I didn't order. I will not give this place a try again, it's so overrated. read more

"Great looking menu, poor execution" The setting: Nice looking cafe feel with a cozy patio area. We sat on the patio and it was nice. Service: Friendly, prompt and helpful staff. No complaints here. --Food-- Lobster & Brie Omelet: This sizable omelet came smothered with lobster and Brie slices with a buttery garlic white wine sauce. The omelet was stuffed with cream cheese. The lobster and Brie tasted fine but the actual omelet was kinda hard, and I wasn't digging all the cream cheese inside it. That part was just kinda yucky to me. On the side there was basic cubes homefries. I also ordered a side of bacon which wasn't crispy and juicy like homemade bacon. Peach Cobbler Pancakes: Again, the peach cobbler aspect tasted good but the pancakes weren't fluffy. They were very average pancakes. Bloody Mary's: I ordered a Smokey Sriracha and a Tomatillo Bloody Mary. The Tomatillo tasted good and was interesting except for the large amount of pulpy slop at the bottom of the glass (Ewww). The Smoky Bloody Mary was too thick to really enjoy. It could be that I didn't order the right options for me so I'll give them another try. read more

Welllll this place must be very popular cause the waiting time always says 45 to an hour but I called my order in 40 minutes ahead of time when arrived I had to Wait an additional just to get my food! I paid for it but didn't even have my food when I did as people poured in the hosts handle everything well but I still waited 45 minutes for food which is insane that's basically a hour and half for a order I called ahead in and made food was good burger was awesome crab cake and there version of beignets I'm form New Orleans they was terrible not anything close but yeah I'll pass on this place again read more

Of course it's going to be crazy busy when you come to a breakfast place during breakfast. And oh was this place. Our friends took us (the out-of-towners) here after a fun night of drinking and staying up late. We were given a little square thing that lights up when it's your turn to be seated. We knew it would take up a while, since we were a group of 6 people. So while some of our friends stayed outside to wait just in case, we went over to Starbucks where I used a gift card to get a drink. I guess the little square things were acting up, because we were finally summoned by a waitress in person who said that they stopped working all the time. Busy places can sometimes mean lousy service, which it was. I get that's always a possibility, and I still tipped at 20% because at least the server remained polite. I ended up ordering a Hey Lucy, which was an omelet with chorizo, avocado, and onions; it also came with a side of diced potatoes. The potatoes were very good, but the omelet was okay. Initially, I didn't even think there was chorizo in it, because I only ate half at that time. It was because it was all in the middle of the omelet, which was weird... but okay. There's no denying the presentation is great here, and for the most part, you get a pretty good portion of food for what you pay. PROS: -Beautiful presentation of food. -Generous portions. CONS: -While the portions are pretty good, it doesn't justify the cost. It appears to be more quantity over quality. -Was busy enough that water was left empty more than not and we had to specifically ask another waiter to find our waiter to order. THE VERDICT: The food is okay, while the portions are generous. Thus what you pay is a fairly reasonable amount for what you get with the food. One of my gripes about eating out is if I could make it better, then what's the point. Well, I could have. That being said, I know it's a popular breakfast spot, but I would avoid going there at peak hours due to the slow service and number of people milling around waiting to go inside. I would come back here and try something that's not egg-based. I'd likely rate it at 3.5 stars, but due to the unapologetic service and bland food, I've chosen to round down rather than up. It's just not one of those spots I would go out of my way to check out. read more

Great food but awful customer service, specifically at the host stand. The tattooed hostess is extremely rude and will take her wrath out on your seating availability. I checked in to ask how much longer our wait would be, and she snappily let me know it would be a little longer. I said that was fine and waited outside. We got a text saying our table was ready and when we came inside she said our outside table was ready when I had asked for inside only. With a hungry toddler I said we would just take that table. The table ended up being in the very corner of the patio, extremely cramped and next to the garbage pail. Could barely hear each other talk over the clanking of dishes being thrown in there every few minutes. They need to reevaluate their host staff because they will end up losing guests because of her attitude. read more

I had heard great things about this place from friends so I thought I'd give it a try. On my first visit I got takeout because my dog was with me. It took an unusually long time, nearly half an hour, to complete my order. I ordered French toast and paid the up charge for the combo which included eggs and bacon, but no drink. I paid an additional fee for the drink. When my order arrived, there was a passoff from the cook to the lady who'd taken my order. She never checked the order to ensure quality. When I got home, there was no bacon! I was already running late because of the wait and didn't have time to go back right away. Either she didn't follow procedure, or they need to develop one. Also, there was nothing notable about the French toast or the eggs. I expected more since they have the word "egg" in their name. Inexcusable. It definitely wasn't $16 worth of food! (My mom has chickens, so her eggs are much better and fresher than the eggs I had from Another Broken Egg Cafe.) While waiting, I did notice that although they were terribly crowded, they were really good about seating patrons rapidly. Also, the staff all seemed nice and the diners all seemed satisfied as they left. read more
