I have been to this location several times this was one of the worst visits I have ever had. We waited 45 mins for our food at the table then when we finally received our food it had no flavor being someone that had been their before I know how their food tastes it was horrible for the first time I didn't even finish my meal and I felt bad because I was bringing someone their for the first time. I can say the highlight of my visit was my waiter Ed he was very attentive and hardworking. read more

Horrible service! Never got food , we left as did the people next to us due to waiting 40 minutes. The waitress was extremely rude to the hostess, the entire staff was apologizing to everyone. read more

The food was sooo good. I had the lobster skillet with eggs, peppers, and cheese. Also loved our waitress. We got on the wait list which saved us a little time. Long wait tho, but it's worth it. read more

Another Broken Egg Cafe - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Jacksonville, Florida

Breakfast eateries are growing more and more popular on weekends in Jacksonville. Another Broken Egg Cafe is located in the Tapestry Park area, which naturally generates a large influx of patrons. I arrived on a Sunday around mid-morning, about 10:30 am, and the line for the wait was practically wrapped around the building. I'm not sure how long the establishment has been in business, but over the past few months I've heard a lot of talk about the restaurant. This is one of those places that might need to start working on reservations - it was THAT packed. I ended up waiting over an hour to be seated for a party of two. While we were waiting to be seated, there were about 3 tables that remained dirty for about 30 to 45 minutes on the patio area before someone came to clean them. When this was brought to the host's attention, they replied with a very dry, "I know," rather than sending someone over to clean them. Someone should be on top of that and ensuring tables are constantly being cleaned and reset so that others can be seated swiftly. There were 2 additional tables along the side of the restaurant that patrons could dine at, however, other guests who were waiting to be seated sat there to avoid standing. I didn't have an opportunity to dine on the inside of the restaurant. We were seated in the uncovered section of the patio without an umbrella which was very hot, as you could imagine. I believe the restaurant should consider extending the awning a little further to provide more shade, especially as the warmer months approach. As far as food and service goes, although the wait to be seated was long, the food arrived promptly. I'm a fan of waffles so I decided on the Belgian Waffle combo with turkey sausage. I must add that I was very pleased with the quality and quantity of healthier options on the menu! The waffle was nice and light and slightly crispy served with powdered sugar. The menu also included fruit topping options for waffles and pancakes. I will return to Another Broken Egg again to try out more menu items and compare wait times on different days of the week. Overall, I was pleased. read more

This was our first time visiting and we will certainly be back. We went to Another Broken Egg Cafe with some family members who had been here previously. It was a cold rainy Saturday morning and we were there in time for brunch. Even with the rain it was over a 30 min wait. People were waiting outside, in the lobby and in their cars. This is a testament to how good the food is! Inside was packed too, every table and the entire bar was full. Even cold and wet and the customers who were outside were nice and chatty. I had the bananas foster French toast and even now as I'm thinking about how amazing it was I'm getting hungry. . I certainly cannot wait to go back. The menu has a good selection of brunch items to include mimosas. The atmosphere is very much "sit, enjoy and relax" which was the major reason the wait was so long. We never felt rushed to order or leave. Our waitress was very attentive and nice. Breakfast was reasonably priced for the amount of food you got and how amazing it was. We look forward to our return visit. read more

I came to eat breakfast by myself for once. I did attempt to go to Mimi's Cafe at the town center but they are closed for a renovation so I came to the second best place I know, or of which i thought. I was told the wait would be about 30-45 minutes so I stayed because I believe in waiting for good food. I ended up waiting for more than an hour. When i was finally sat down, I ordered my drink as soon as I met my waitress, who was great. I could tell she was busy, so I completely understand the heat of the kitchen that brings, HOWEVER, I was never asked after receiving my food, how it was until I was ready to ask for the check and discuss my issues with the food. My favorite pancakes (blueberry/goat cheese) were burnt, I tasted the grill more than the cake, also the girl delivering my eggs benedict (not my waitress), dropped my egg while delivering and just said 'oh we'll get another one for you' and delivered 2 plain pouches eggs on a plate. no sauce, no nothing. Lastly, I found a hair in my grits, that were nearly half eaten before I noticed. I expressed my frustrations with the waitress and and now leaving. Yes. I did sit at the table while writing the review. Thanks. read more

This is our favorite spot for breakfast/brunch. We come here multiple times each week. Everything they serve is delicious. The coffee is so perfect that I crave it every morning. My husband can't have the caffeine so he gets the orange juice which is, of course, perfect. When we brought a friend with us we all enjoyed trying the different available brunch cocktails. The peach Bellini and Tropical Sangria are dangerously delicious. I highly recommend The Floridian omelette, made with cream cheese and crabmeat, and the Bacquezo omelette, made with cream cheese, bacon, and chorizo. Want a more traditional breakfast? I frequently choose the Belgium waffle combo with eggs and house-made sausage patties. The French toast and pancakes are also available as a combo or on their own and all are delicious. Most places only offer waffles OR pancakes but here you get whatever your heart desires! Whatever your choice, you've got to try the sausage patties. I've never had anything like them. Want a bit of sweet and savory? Try the waffle sliders! Pro Tip: This place is super popular. We're early risers so we normally beat the crowd, but if you want to be here a bit later, use the No Wait app. You can go ahead and get in line before you even show up. It's really useful! We used it when we came for brunch on a Saturday with our friend. Worked out really well. read more

Went looking for a breakfast place and Another Broken Egg never disappoints. I had already eaten so we sat at the bar. The bartender is AMAZING! We had a pitcher of mimosas....a whole bottle was exactly 4 glasses as advertised. I had a tropical sangria...must try! My friend devoured her food so I would say it was good lol. Bartender let us try her special Bloody Mary since I said I wasn't a fan of them...I AM NOW! read more

My first time there and...my experience was so so, NOT what I'd expected. Food was very good Customer service wasn't. Waitress(Natalie)seemed very distracted and unconcerned about myself and my friend. My order was wrong and she dismissed me when I questioned about it. I also didn't get the Biscuit Beignets I wanted to take home. read more

The wait here always seems to be extraordinarily long, but it's helpful that you can add your name to the list via Yelp before even leaving home. It's also always been worth it, with really tasty options -- so many that it's always difficult to pick. Service has also always been good, which makes for an even more pleasant experience. read more

I have had this place bookmarked for EVER..but Im a night shifter, and I dont often get up in time for breakfast..well i was on vacation from work and i woke up nice and early and wanted a bloody mary in a large way..so off i went..i will say that the plaza that its in is super confusing and hard to navigate, and the parking lot is super tight..but oh well..i walked in and was greeted warmly by the hostess and taken right to a table and set up with a menu...my server came over in no time and when i tell you she was nice, that doesnt even touch it..she was attentive, made jokes with me, and my water was filled each time it got even a little low..i wanted all of the foods, so i actually ordered waaaay more than what i needed, but it was oh so good..i got the bloody mary, which was the perfect amount of spice and looked adorable in a mason jar, and i then went with fried green tomatoes, a mardi gras omlette, that came with grits on the side, and also an order of biscuits and gravy..when it all came out, it looked like there should have been another person dining with me! I wasnt that embarassed tho, cause i love food lol..the omlette was fluffy and FULL of shrimp and sausage and veggies..the fried green toms were crispy and just the right amount of tart flavor was complimented well by the spicy dipping sauce..let me talk to you for a minute about the biscuits and gravy..just perfect! the biscuits werent too heavy and the gravy was thick and creamy and so yum..my side of grits was meh..they seemed like they sat too long, but i wasnt too concerned about it since i had all the other amazing things to eat..i sat and munched, and enjoyed the nice atmosphere..as i mentioned before, Maureen my server was so so nice..she brought me some to go containers, put my water in a to go cup and set me up with my check..i feel that the price point here is really reasonable for the servings and quality..i will be coming back..next time im off and awake in the day time! read more

I'd give a half a star if I could. I've had great luck at other locations but the Tapestry park restaurant has given me a terrible experience twice in a row. At first we made a reservation for the wrong location which was definitely our fault. We made a new reservation with this location. We never checked in with the old location due to us not showing up. We received a text that our table was ready about 10 minutes after arriving at Tapestry park. When we walked inside they argued that we didn't receive a text and the manager was very dismissive of us. Once seated AND ordered, it was almost an hour before our food arrived. Food sat there for 10 minutes before we had silverware to eat it with. The STUFFED French toast we ordered was not stuffed at all, just drizzled with a sauce. They took the French toast off the bill which was nice. And we paid while using 2 entree coupons that I received from my last visit there due to the cluster that was. The last visit included an hour long wait for our food- I ordered a chocolate Belgian waffle. I'm sorry but it doesn't take an hour to make that. Adding insult to injury the food that came out wasn't even right. Just a plain waffle. The manager that time (a different guy, not sure if they have multiple or have made a change) was very nice and apologetic. Took the food off our bill and gave us the meal entrees. I didn't write a review because of how nice it was for them to try and make it right. Well after this last "make it right" visit I can confidently say it's just this location that sucks and I will not be returning. I'll probably advise others to avoid it as well. A huge disappointment and waste of my time. read more

Another Broken Egg Cafe - Receipt for poor service??? - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Jacksonville, Florida

Extremely average breakfast food at best. A bit expensive for what it is. Not bad but not great.

Always great service, even when they're slammed. Always willing to let us split a plate... serving sizes are great portions.

Loved this place! Been meaning to try it since my boyfriend lives in Ciel apartments right by here. I had the veggie omelet and it was so good. The best thing was this...I ordered a mimosa and went to grab my water knocked over the drink all over my leg and chair. Our waitress brought me a new one without any trouble which was awesome. Definitely recommend coming here but definitely join the waitlist on yelp to get a seat because you can wait while you're at home and get ready! read more

Service was awesome/quick and place is clean with great atmosphere. The food was average. Potatoes were frozen and then cooked. It was obvious. And both mine and another person next to me - our pancakes were not fully cooked and oozing batter. Bacon was decent but not top-notch. I would go back, but with tempered expectations. read more

I was really craving breakfast food and they did not disappoint. Service was really good and friendly. It did take a while for the food to come out. The side potatoes weren't that great without adding some kind of seasoning. The Blackstone Benedict I got was really good though. They easily catered to me being a vegetarian and took the bacon out. Also got to try the Mixed Berry and Banana Foster pancakes and both were really sweet and hit the spot. read more

This place is always packed. Always! There was a wait outside but for whatever reason, the bar is always available. The waitresses are always friendly. I chose the Crawfish omelette with City grits while he had the Mardi gras omelette with City grits. Bother omelettes are worth every penny. The city grits are hard to ignore, they don't taste like restaurant quality. They taste like home. Wenith had the Strawberry Sparklee which is pretty tasty. I always sing "strawberry champagne on ice" when I get it. We got a $10 coupon for next time since Mother's Day was near. I will be using it. read more

*Update* I was contacted by Another broken Eggs management who were very polite about my experience. They offered their sincere apologies and gave me two complimentary entree "be our guest" tickets. I have since eaten here again and I had a better experience. This time I actually dined in, but it was as soon as they opened so I could avoid the wait time. I can tell management takes pride in their establishment so I have to respect them for that. read more

Perfect "off the beaten path" restaurant. This place is BUSY... but worth the wait to eat. I checked this spot out with a friend of mine for brunch. The menu is extensive with lots of options to choose from. I decided to have the Monterey Omelette (ingredients listed in the picture). This was EXTRAORDINARILY good!!! It's hard to find a restaurant (outside of New Mexico) that cooks with green chili. The portion size was perfect! I'll definitely visit this spot again when I'm back in the Jacksonville area. read more

Was seated quickly on very nice patio. Quickly and cordially greeted. Then it went downhill. Even though it was breakfast (like lunch, should be served quickly), it took 25+ for our meal. Her grits were lumpy; my potatoes were overcooked and didn't taste good. But the worst was the cold (not lukewarm) lobster/brie omelette. I summoned another waitress who informed ours. It took a long time for the second omelette -- our waitress mentioned "the manager is involved"/what does that even mean? -- to come. It was slightly warmer but the added lukewarmness didn't make it taste much better. How can eggs, Brie and lobster not taste good? read more

Flew in to St. Augustine from SC to drop off passengers and remain over night in S. Jax. Probably should get here early, especially on Saturdays. However, if you have to wait to be seated, it's a good bet that your meal(s) will be worth it. I had the Floridian Omelet and my friend had the Supreme Omelet. Both were uncommonly good. The Floridian omelet's mix of crab, green onions, garlic butter, and jack cheese was PERFECT! The flavors came through well and didn't overpower the tastebuds. I'd like to try it without the cream cheese next time. Probably save a ton of calories and fat and still get those wonderful flavors. Service was very good, especially considering the crowd. Our server was attentive and cheerful without being overly chatty or hovering. Strongly recommend breakfast or brunch here. Looking forward to the next visit. read more
