I've been to this location several times before but this was the first time I got seated right away, without any wait time. Would definitely recommend coming around 9 am if you can! Our server was great - friendly and not overbearing. I ordered the Floridian omelette, which is by far the best omelette I have ever had at a brunch place. The cream cheese filling and crab meat topping is such a great combination! I had my side potatoes topped with cheese, which added some extra flavor. I also ordered the french roast cold brew with hazelnut, but it was a bit of a disappointment - probably wouldn't order again since it looks better on the menu than it tastes. read more

This place is amazing. I usually get the Nellie's Delight. Juicy, marinated chicken breast with lots of bacon and Gouda cheese. Their burgers are also delicious. Really, anything and everything is. Servers are always friendly and accommodating. Never had a bad experience here. The only bad thing is the wait on the weekends but I think that speaks for itself. They will be opening one in Jax Beach soon!!! Check this place out. You won't be disappointed read more

The service was on point! My group came on a Saturday morning to this cute brunch restaurant. We did have to wait because it was so busy. I recommend making a reservation if you plan on going during the weekend or asking for "first available seating". We were seated outside (which I do not recommend especially during Florida summer). Even though fans were present, outside seating was obscenely hot and the fans were basically pushing around the hot air. We were sweating buckets by the time our server came to take our order. Nevertheless, I asked if we could be moved inside and he was very happy to oblige my request. We changed scenery within 10 minutes and basked in the air conditioned air. I will say that the indoor seating is small which explains the long wait time. Our server was attentive and checked up on us often. The food was very good. I ordered the Bacquezo and the serving was more than what I paid for. It came with lots of cheese and chorizo sausage in the omelet. I couldn't even finish the dish! I did try the Hawaiian French Toast (it's Hawaiian because they use sweet bread than regular bread) but in my opinion the dish needs to be more Hawaiian. Maybe adding a special sauce or pineapples? I did order a mimosa and tasted very fresh like they had just squeezed the orange. However, for $6 I expected more. When the drink arrived, it was only filled halfway instead of to the top. The potatoes were not salty as I expected but crispy. They do offer siracha and tabasco if you want that extra spice. read more

I have been here a few times. I really like the food and staff here. I ate at the bar for the first time today. The only suggestion I could give is for them to use a clean bar towel when wiping the bar. I could smell the dirty sour residue coming from the dirty towel. Kind of grossed me out and kept me from leaving a 5. The food and service is always great and I do enjoy eating here. read more

Our server was very good and caring! Thus the 2 stars. The food was not up to snuff however. I ordered the southwest omelet. It is served with a side of guacamole and salsa. My guacamole was spoiled and it was immediately noticeable. Unfortunately I hade already spread a spoonful on my tortilla and eggs. Had to scrape that off. My wife's bacon tasted like the oil it was cooked in was rancid. Finally the manager walked around and asked us how everything was. I was about to kindly just mention the spoiled guacamole and the bad oil taste in the bacon to give feedback that would help her improve the quality of their food... but as soon as she asked, she IMMEDIATELY said "Oh it was all great?!? GREAT! Enjoy! And then walked away, leaving us zero time or opportunity to even say anything. She was gone so quickly we were all left kind of asking, "Ummm, what just happened?!!?" read more

This is one of my go to places for weekend brunch. They have a full bar so a mimosa or spiked coffee is a plus. They, have so many delicious options. My favorite on a gluttonous day is the cinnamon roll french toast, but they also have winners with the southern crabstack, the lobster and brie omelette, and for a lighter choice, the chobani tuile is delightful - Vanilla Chobani with a honey drizzle, fresh berries in a crispy light waffle bowl. I could go on with other dishes I've tried, but I digress. It's all good. The wait can be long, but worth it. Try the no wait app- it allows you to get in line prior to showing up (includes other restaurants, too) I love this place. :-D read more

I was visiting Jacksonville for the weekend and came to this breakfast/brunch place heading good things about it from my friend. So naturally I had high expectations but they were not quite met. Much to my non-surprise, there was quite a wait on a Saturday morning to get a table. However, the wait wasn't too long thanks to a nearby Starbucks and our buzzer went off about 5 minutes earlier than our hostess predicted. We were quickly seated and our waiter was quick to tend to our needs and was very attentive throughout our meal. So points on service! I ordered the "Hey Lucy" which is an omelet dish comprised of chorizo, onions, and avocados. It also comes with a side of their home potatoes. My omelette dish was really delicious and I'm glad I got to try that. However, I was disappointed in their potatoes. They were VERY salty and I think they could've been toned down a bit. I also tried their mimosa and found it to be too fizzy and I didn't really like it. You could hardly taste any of the fruit in the beverage bc of the overwhelm in fizziness. The toast I received on the side of my dish had no taste and seemed burnt. While my omelette was good, everything else that I had there was just average. In terms of ambiance, it has some charming old southern decorations. The restaurant was filled with customers but I didn't feel too overwhelmed or packed. I liked the decorations and I was tempted to sit outside but decided not to bc of the heat. It is pretty noisy and very casual. All in all, I generally liked my food but it wasn't the best brunch place I've ever been to. I very much appreciated my attentive service though. read more

If you like sugar laden chains, that don't care about where your food is from, then step right in! They predominantly sell eggs, but don't care if the chickens are well treated. So basically they come from hens cooped up in tiny cages. A chain like this could make a difference but chooses not to. They jelly/ jam they use is just full of crap( see picture) the ketchup they use is the basic Heinz.. Full of HFCS. The plates they use are too big. I could go on but I can't be bothered. Another Broken Egg Cafe NEVER FAILS!! I have been there countless times, ordered different food options (Sunrise spinach scrambler, crab cake benedict & pancake trio flight is pancake heaven) and never once did they disappoint. This place works for both family brunches or if you're in the mood for countless mimosas with your friends. **The lemon blueberry mimosa is YUMMY** The only con this place has is the wait to be seated, every single time! But you can always get started at the bar until then! read more

Very unfortunate experience brunching here today. I have been to the beach location multiple times and I've always had a wonderful experience. My husband and I live in Southside but never dined at this location before as I always see the wait times on yelp quite long and on the weekends we dont mind the drive to the beach location where we typically only have to wait as bout 20 minutes despite the lines out the door. Today we decided to go to the closer location in southside as we had some errands to run in the area. We came expecting the same or similar experience as the other locations but we were sadly mistaken. We arrived around 11am and noticed it was pretty busy with plenty of folks waiting for tables. We put our name down for first available table (inside or outside) and were told it would be about an hour wait. We ordered a mimosa at the bar and then waited outside to allow others the chance to walk in to get their names down and check in. I noticed there were at least 3 tables open in the outside patio area. I became concerned when 30 minutes later only 1 out of the 3 tables on the patio had a party seated since we had initially arrived. We headed back inside after another 15 minutes of waiting and I checked with the hostess at the podium regarding the outdoor seating and mentioned that many tables had been unoccupied since we had arrived and we were curious if perhaps we weren't put down for indoor or outdoor seating. She dismissed my concerns and told me I must be mistaken and that there were no open tables. I asked how many were ahead of us as we had already waited an hour and she said 11 parties. We went back outside and noticed again the table right in front of the front door that could seat 2 or 3 people remained unoccupied. At this point the table had not been used for over 1 hour. I started to take note of the staff wondering if perhaps they were short to explain the delay in seating tables. There was a waitress in that section who did not appear to look overly busy. Often times I saw staff chit chatting with plenty of downtime in the back patio area. We waited another 20 minutes and at this point there was no further line of people waiting for tables. I witnessed at least 3 parties who had no reservation/name on wait list (parties of 4, another party of 6) seated immediately without any wait. One group next to us who had been waiting as long as us was told 10 parties were ahead of them, then 15 minutes later told that 13 parties were ahead. This does not make any sense?! My phone finally rang and I received a text. The same hostess escorted us to our outdoor table. CAN YOU GUESS WHERE WE WERE SEATED? The table that had been open the ENTIRE time we waited there for over an hour nearly 1.5 hours. What a waste of our time! I told the hostess as she was seating us that this was one of the tables I had brought to her attention over 45 minutes prior and her response was "Funny how things work out like that." This hostess was by far the most unprofessional, unapologetic and condescending person I have ever encountered. To the management of this location, this table could have been turned over an 2 or 3 times during the time we sat there and waited for it. I expect to wait when a place is busy but it's unacceptable to have a hostess that cannot keep track of open tables who also ignore concerns of customers. Our waitress was very nice and attentive luckily. The food like usual was great like the other locations I've been to. I was disappointed thay they do not make the tomatillo bloody mary here. The only reason I gave two stars is because of the food and our kind waitress. Otherwise I would have given 1 star which I almost never do. I 100% will not be back to this location. Now I understand why the wait at Southside location is always longer than the beach. I think they should take some tips from the beach location. read more

This restaurant is absolutely fantastic. Be sure you get there early or use the no wait app, as there is a long line. The hostess, diamond, was great in managing the wait. She kept everyone informed constantly and even offered coffee, tea or water to patrons that were waiting in line. The food is delicious as well. The lobster Brie omelette was cooked perfectly, tasted creamy and had chunks of lobster. The crab cavallo had chunks of crab, with poached eggs and a delicious hollandaise. The staff was awesome. Because of the long wait, the manager brought our table a complementary order of beignets. Everyone was friendly, welcoming and attentive to our needs. The entire experience was truly a pleasure. read more

I consider myself a fan of food, and breakfast food especially. That being said, I just had the best omelette I've ever had in my life: the Lobster and Brie Omelette was amazingly delicious. The cost of $14.95 almost deterred me, but I decided to go for it and I'm glad I did. On the negative side, I thought the potatoes were a bit rubbery but otherwise, I loved my meal and I would definitely recommend it to a friend. My husband and I came here for breakfast while visiting Jacksonville. We ordered the traditional breakfast and black bean eggs Benedict with the beignets for appetizer and mocha coffee to drink. Some of our tips: 1. skip the coffee here and head to the Starbucks nearby. The coffee was mediocre and this is coming from someone who KNOWS good coffee. On the upside, the coffee was served in a charming mug with the restaurant's logo. 2. Do not, I repeat, do not order the pancakes! For anyone familiar with IHOP, Denny's or other diners, you will be very disappointed. The pancake was very flat and dry. 3. The beignets were very dry and the citrus jam that it comes with does not seem like a good pairing for these. 4. The black bean eggs Benedict was decent and very filling. Please note that this dish is a little spicy. A couple could definitely share this plate. Overall, this breakfast place is convenient for anyone staying at hotels nearby (The Loft, Hotel Indigo). read more

Hmmm... How do I put this? Ok, simply amazing (to keep it PG13). Had to wait about 20 mins but what do you expect from a recently (had been open for 3 weeks at this time) opened awesome belly pampering restaurant. Extra kudos for our server. He "loves questions", was very attentive and friendly. I started up with a Bloody Mary. Made with their home infused spicy vodka, WOW! We were very pleased with every plate we ordered. Went for a late brunch with my friend, we were able to get seated right away but service was a little slow. They were out of a few drink items but we sampled a few that were available and they were quite tasty and in decent portions. The country grits were really awesome, we both loved them! I ordered the brie and lobster cream cheese stuffed omelette...so decadent and delicious, definitely would recommend but it is rich and filling so be warned! Slow, extremely slow service. We were initially told the wait would be 1 hour and it took an hour and 45 mins. Almost double the time. The Tables were not being cleaned fast enough when vacated. Great food! Great service. The breakfast was delicious and I recommend the heuvos rancheros.

What a stop! Besides the unique menu, our server Anthony was amazing. He helped me when I had trouble choosing and when I ordered way too much he helped me box it up. I love breakfast food but husband does not so hubby was happy to see he could order a salad at 9:15. What a salad: Chicken, spinach, and quinoa! I ordered the Beignet Biscuits and Honey Marmalade- amazing! Took half of it home. Delicious! I also ordered the Mediterranean potatoes with my eggs. No thank you. I definitely will not be back. You screwed up my ordered using a gift certificate from previous visit. Serving the dish with spoiled milk on top. Lol pass. Food quality is well below average, usually missing at least one item each order (either beignet or something with entree, and serving spoiled food so the entire dish is inedible. Plus this is more expensive for a brunch spot. I gave 4 chances.... My friends and I will no longer be going to this place ever again. I wouldn't ever go again even if you paid me. Already lost enough money going to this place on just food I didn't get, food that was inedible, or getting something I didn't order. Plus poor customer service and poor time management. read more

This place is a yummy spot for some good breakfast. But there are a few reasons I didn't give it five stars... *Make sure you put yourself on the "NoWait" waitlist it's an app that allows you to stand in line without being here. With a 48 minute you'll want to virtually stand in line while you're on way. *We got a tan from the heat lamp outside. Bro, it's Florida. That thing is way too hot! *Our food came 30-40 minutes after we ordered. So don't go if you're hangry. *My toast came out stone hard. (personal pet peeve) Other that that this place was scrumptious. I had just come off a bodybuilding show and wanted an amazing breakfast. I saw their menu and knew this place had to be it. My pancakes were good, but nothing like I thought they were going to be when I chose this breakfast establishment. Very little fruit on top and little whipped cream. Same for the omelet I ordered. I use to frequent this establishment every Sunday morning for for over a year and received excellent service. This past Wednesday morning however, a group of coworkers came for breakfast after completing our shift. Our waitress was rude and short with us. From the beginning. When we asked about adding another seat for another nurse coming to dine with us she just nodded her head and walked off. The manager came and said only six people could dine. I replied that the limitation in Fl was 10. She replied that was their policy. At the time we were already seated inside with appetizers and drinks. At no time did the staff try to offer a solution. They just walked off. We grabbed all of our drinks, food, and silverware and sat outside. We divided our party a two tables close to each other. The waitress didn't come back to our table for another 20 minutes. We believe the waitress resented us (nurses) being there and didn't want to serve us. Once our food came-the order was wrong. Instead of remaking the orders, they slid food from one plate to the other at our table. Mind you-our party was split into two tables and she messed up orders between both tables. Once she realized she made a mistake-THEN she was nice and polite. All of a sudden-Another Broken Egg wasn't too concerned about cross contamination or safety. I was embarrassed for having recommenced this establishments to my friends and coworkers. We will not be returning. read more
