Finally had a chance to take my hubby to Another Broken Egg Cafe this morning. The experience was nothing like my previous experience there! This will be our new and favorite go to place for breakfast or brunch! From the cheerful greeting at the front door until we left! The service was impeccable! And the food...the food here is amazing and different from other breakfast places! Plus the coffee is on point! Thank you Another Broken Egg Cafe! You guys are phenomenal! read more

This is definitely one of my brunch spots. They have an interesting take on southern breakfast cooking, full of flavor and interesting choices. They definitely went for a bold statement, but made it work. They are always packed so check wait times on yelp before showing up, or get in line from the app. Since they are always busy, expect a little wait for the food. That being said, you won't be disappointed with the quality when it shows up. I love my crab and Brie omelette and I recommend you try the city grits. Bacon, and cheese galore. They have a pleasant terrace with plenty of outside seating and they even have tables on the sidewalk. A must on nice mornings. That being said, I can't praise this establishment without mentioning my biggest drawback to coming here. They are always, and I mean always!, out of something. And for some reason it's always that something that I really want. I understand that they are plenty busy and that they try to keep the food fresh, but it gets unnerving to always here: sorry, we are out of "x" today. Nevertheless, I love this place and will continue to frequent it, and will continue to hope whatever I want that day is still available. read more

This restaurant was packed when I arrived but yelp allowed me to check in prior so seating was a breeze. For those that have to wait, they do have a bar where you can sip and wait or choose to sit at. Outdoor and indoor seating were both appealing. The cocktails are delicious and the meal I had was far from average. I went with the lobster meat and Brie omelette and the only thing I didn't like about it was the huge glob of cream cheese inside my omelette right in the middle. I could've done without it but besides that, the dish was delicious. read more

The selection is extensive. I wasn't sure what to order since it all looked good. Fortunately by sister knew what she wanted. Bananas Foster waffle and po boy skillet or something like that. We split both entrees so we could have both. We hate to choose. The waffle was excellent. The skillet was heavier on the potatoes than I like but it was fine. I realize I'm not in the Big Easy. It was filling and I was hungry. My coffee cup was kept full and hot and I thought the little mugs were darling. I bought one cause I'm a sucker for hand made pottery. But I digress. The service was good, the patio was pleasant, the selection was large. I'm curious to try the other items so I'll be back to eat my way through the menu. Glad that Jax has another solid breakfast option. read more

I came here with a friend for breakfast on a beautiful Sunday. We sat outside and enjoyed the weather. I love how they have a decent amount of outdoor seating under a covered area. They have a wide variety of drinks you can order. The strawberry mimosa was good and refreshing. I also got the lobster skillet and it was amazing and a big portion. I couldn't finish it. I also love how you can put yourself on the waitlist through the YELP app, this was convenient and we wasted no time waiting in line. read more

Another Broken Egg has officially locked in its reputation as a weekend brunch spot for me after my three brunch visits here - this restaurant is open from 7AM until 2PM daily so the shoe fits. I cannot stress this enough, make reservations because the wait on the weekends is about an hour long and more. On the plus side, you would be able to order a drink at the bar and play corn hole outside while you wait - as far as waits go, this is not the worst way to pass the time. Being a sucker for anything even slightly unusual on any menu, I did try the green tomato Bloody Mary here, but I will stick to the original Bloody Mary from now on. Another Broker Egg infuses vodka with hot peppers - you can see their work displayed in large pitchers behind the bar - so it is a unique way of adding the heat to this classic drink without reaching for a mix or hot sauce. Also, spiked coffee of several varieties is another option for a boozy brunch. As for the food, the crab cake benedict has not stirred me wrong here - I recommend it. Service has been friendly every time, but on the slower side due to the large crowds that tend to flock here on the weekends so this is a spot to check out when you have a couple of hours to spare. read more

Every year a group if us decide on a restaurant to have Christmas Eve breakfast and this year Another Broken Egg Cafe was chosen. This was everyone's first time here and from the moment we walked in all the staff was sooo friendly. While we waited for our table and the rest if our party one of the waitress took the time to chit-chat with us as we told her it was our first time eating at this restaurant. We were seated and a few moment later that same server that greeted us came to check on our table even though we weren't assigned to her section. Our waitress introduced herself and was so nice and helpful. Her name was Rayland (if your reading this sorry if I spelled your name wrong). Anyway she was amazing! Super friendly and she answered everyone's questions. The service alone is worth 5 stars. I didn't take a picture of everything but the run if the table was something like this, berry pancakes, city grits, shrimp and grits, cinnamon roll french toast, house sausage, omelettes, beignets and french toast. The food was hot and fresh. They were even accommodating to a few special request. Everyone in our party enjoyed the dishes ordered. They even gave my sister free pancakes for her birthday! read more

This is my go to place for breakfast in Jax. Some of the magic on the menu in order of preference: lobster and brie, shrimp and grits, crab cake benedicts, Mardi gras. They are great portions, rich, and flavorful. I'm yet to be disappointed by something I've ordered here. Seafood lovers breakfast haven. Just persevere through the wait times and you should be good better yet if you're able to make it here on a weekday you can skip the wait to the greatness on the menu. Service is okay. Don't forget to get your complimentary beignets if it's your first time. Items on the menu remind me of some authentic New Orleans restaurants. read more

Our experience was absolutely ridiculous. My family and I waited 45 minutes just to be seated, we knew about the wait but the other reviews said the food was worth it, which is why we stayed. We were greeted by our waiter Summer and ordered at 11:35. Anhour passes, we waited an HOUR thinking our food would be "out shortly." Turns out our order was lost, yet not once did our waiter come to check on us or our food. We told the manager and she immediately disregarded my husband who was talking to her. She ignored him saying "I'm sorry he just keeps talking." Excuse me? What a way to treat the customers. Then she leaves, nowhere to be found. Our waiter comes apologizing, "It's not my fault. It's the kitchen." If only she checked to see our food and attempted to efficiently serve us. I would not recommend this location. read more

4.5 stars but we are rounding up to give the benefit of the doubt as most of our experience was positive. First of all, I loved that you could put your name on the waitlist via yelp. The wait was 40-55 min, and we used Yelp to put our name on the list and only had to wait 10 at the restaurant. Once we were seated, it took a little bit for our server to get to us but she was engaging and very friendly. All of the staff that we interacted with were very pleasant. The food was delicious!!! I got something off of the seasonal menu - potatoes with bacon, sausage, ham, bell peppers, onion and cheese and it also came with a pancake and egg. All of my food was exceptional except the lone egg, it seemed old like it had been sitting out for a little. My fiancé ordered shrimp and grits, country grits and a lemon and goat cheese pancake and he said it was excellent! The food was great! We also got to try to beignets, since it was our first visit, and they were delicious as well. Now, the reason for 4.5 stars instead of 5 is because of the wait to get our food. We waited for over an hour and all of the other tables shared a similar fate. Waiting one hour + for breakfast food seems unacceptable but we are going to chalk it up to something happening in the kitchen. We will def make another visit here! Yummy. read more

I came here for brunch with one of my best friends. I saved my place on the Yelp app, so I didn't have to wait the hour and half wait in the restaurant like a lot of patrons were doing. We were placed at a booth in the back and our waitress immediately came by with menus. After browsing, my friend decided to get chocolate milk and French toast, while I ordered the Blood Orange Bourbon Sour and Blueberry Almond French toast. Mid way through our visit our waitresses changed, so we didn't have the same one the whole time. Our food came out beautifully plated and tasted delicious. The sour was a nice balance to the meal and very refreshing. The eggs and bacon that came with the meal were fresh and the perfect portion to such a big meal. We were stuffed by the end of it! My friend was able to get an order of chocolate stuffed waffles for her husband to take home, but he was a little disappointed when we opened the box and it didn't look like they were chocolate stuffed. I have heard they can be hit or miss when it comes to food, so maybe that's what happened. read more

Great food and very friendly environment. I enjoy coming here to eat and have a peaceful breakfast or brunch

This place is popping! We put our name in on Yelp and still waited for 15-20 minutes. The only downside to this location is that the only place to wait is outside which was hot thanks to the Florida heat. Once we were seated, our server was great. He got us in and out while still servicing us well. We got the beignets for an appetizer which can better be compared to fried biscuits. They are dense and filling. I ordered the broken egg biscuit sandwich which was great. My friend ordered chocolate chip pancakes and was surprised to see that there were no chocolate chips in the physical pancakes but rather just sprinkled on top. read more

After my exam, i needed some place to relax and eat. I found this place near my school which was a relieved because I was starving to death. I went in and it was packed. I thought I won't be able to to sit down for awhile however after a couple of minutes, I was escorted to my table. I knew what I wanted which was the lobster and brie omelette, benedict burger, and some french roast cold brew for lunch. I asked the front desk what is her favorite and it was similar what I was about to order. I am so happy i came to this place. The food was excellent and it came out less than 20 minutes. My server was very nice and asked me if i needed anything. I would glad to come back here along with my family in the near future. read more

I always want this place to be good because it's always packed and people tell me that it's delicious yet every time I go I'm kind of underwhelmed. My boyfriend and I stopped in for a quick breakfast. The place was packed as usual with the hostess telling us it was a 45 minute wait. Luckily there were two spots available available at the bar which we snagged. After a little bit of consideration, I decided on the Traditional Day Starter which is two eggs over easy, chicken sausage, cubed potatoes, and and english muffin which I paired with a nice glass of Orange Juice. Danny got the Classic Bacon Burger with a side of Fried Green Tomatoes and coffee. It sounds like a really good meal, but the eggs were cooked over hard, my english muffin was over toasted, and my potatoes were like the last batch of pieces left over, way too crispy and overcooked. The chicken sausage was the only redeeming part. The Bacon on Danny's burger was a tad undercooked and the burger was a bit flavorless. The side of fried green tomatoes were basic and not seasoned in the slightest. The only reason this is still 3 stars and not lower is because the staff is incredibly nice and they made the experience at least some what worth it. Not sure if I ever want to try this place ever again. read more

As usual this spot never ever disappoint! I absolutely love the menu options and even though we come here practically every weekend there's is always something different to try. Today I had the French toast, city grits with eggs & bacon & the kiwi/mango mimosa-yummy yummy!! The hubby had ( shucks) I can't remember the name but it came in dish with fried tortillas beans, eggs and other fixings with a side of homemade potato's, he also has the white sangria which was also yummy. I'm actully embarrassed about how often we come here but it's so delicious and we just can't stay away. I usually stick with my usualy items but my husband is the dare devel-he loves trying different menu choices. The staff is so friendly and the manager too-he usually make it to our table to say hello but on our last visit we didn't get that-we just assumed he was exrtremely busy. There is always a wait regardless of what time either early in the morning mid-afternoon so let's say the wait is because the food is good. Luckily we always have good servers and each time I visit I try something different this time my daughter and I shared scrambled eggs shrimp and grits the portions are always generous and it was easy to feed the two of us a light breakfast. I am hopeful that the the parking will improve once the construction of whatever it is they're doing behind the building is finished. I support Another Broken Egg and will continue to visit. I'll even wait for a little while. read more

Today I visited for brunch after being recommended to this place twice. I jumped in the wait list via Yelp and absolutely loved that they offered that. I definitely recommend doing so especially if you anticipate to go at a busy time like Sunday Brunch. Upon arriving I figured the wait would be quite a while but we ended up waiting only about 30 minutes and was seated. Unfortunately it was very muggy on the inside and the open door didn't help. While we waited to be seated we had already selected our entrees so that we would be ready. We ordered immediately but our food still took a good 25 minutes however it was busy so I will extend grace. My friend ordered the cinnamon french toast and it was INCREDIBLE! I would come back just for that. I ordered the shrimp and grits which turned out to be extremely underwhelming. The grits were very bland and unfortunately I found the shrimp mix to be quite greasy. The shrimp were very small which was also disappointing. The sausage wasn't lacking in flavor and is probably what carried the dish itself. read more

It was our first time going to this restaurant. We went for breakfast and it was amazing, the breakfast potatoes are out of this world, the goat cheese omelette was delicious, my husband had the house made sausage that was super delicious, eggs and breakfast potatoes. The reason I didn't give a 5 is because we ordered 2 pancakes and they were in the heavy side, we couldn't eat them. I recommend everyone to give them a try, definitely worth it. read more

The Mardi Gras omelet ($13) was very good. I enjoyed the English Muffins that came with it, with nice, salty butter applied, even more. The potatoes were ordinary, however, so I might try the grits instead next time. It was a lot of food, and I didn't finish it. We ate outside, and the setting inside seemed quite nice when I walked through. Other dishes to try: city grits, lobster and brie omelet, and carrot pancake stack (supposed to be good for a sweet tooth like me, according to the waitress who recommended it; not always on the menu). read more

Not every brunch dawns with the smell of cozy coffee, poached eggs and Napalm. Some Saturdays bring in a breakfast buffet that doesn't satisfy - where the execution of meal is nearly as disappointing as your last online dinner date. My apologies, Another Broken Egg by Tinseltown, but you broke 4 wee hearts this weekend when we came in to dish and dine for a girls' brunch. Waiting for Good, Though It began with the wait. There's an excellent Portlandia episode about how disgruntling and earth-shattering a mushed up brunch can be. But let's stick with this weekend. We'd heard there was often a wait. We knew lines were a thing. So I tried to download their recommended nowait app. My phone said it was going to charge me, so I phoned a friend to see if she'd download it. It gave her trouble and she had to call the restaurant and they walked her through it. The reservation was made. We had 20 extra minutes to find lipstick and sandals, and the four of us set out. We bumbled into a tiny waiting area brimming with hungry people eager to break the fast. Despite our app downloading and reservation, we had to wait for at least 30 minutes. Everywhere we stood we were in someone's way - a waiter's, a mom's, the hostess. It was mayhem. Luckily my friend Denise found some intriguing shoes on the passers by to entertain her. My friend Irene eyed a cooing baby and determined today's menu called for coffee and mimosas, and Mandy and I checked out the menu. By the time we sat down we all had a pretty clear idea of the sweet and salty breakfast items we were craving. Caffeine Plus Champagne Times Four Best Friends We made quick decisions. Four coffees and waters. Yes, we will add on a pitcher of strawberry mimosa. The single life has some perks and some of those are sweet pink adult drinks with breakfast. The coffees arrived in adorable mugs. The breakfast had promise! The coffee had very little flavor, so cream and sugars would be a must. I immediately ordered a breakfast appetizer, which is a fantastic way to feel like a queen. Of all the exorbitant expenditures, snacks before your first meal! But the wait had been long and outbreaks of hanger were quickly approaching. I was quite pleased with my choice: carne asada tater tots with guacamole and fresh jalapenos. It was cheesy and spicy and meaty and potatoes, and all my favorite things together. Who needs eggs benedict when you can explore the flavors of breakfast and dinner - with salty steak - all at once? Our appetites were whetted and we prepped for the main course. But Maybe I don't Hate Them By the Dozen Sidenote: I went to Another Broken Egg Cafe in Orlando and really enjoyed their food then. As a chain, it's not the worst idea ever, plus they provide alcohol and some tasty pancake and omelet options. Both times service was fine too...but the meals of my friends did not pass muster. (Wouldn't pass mustard be more fun?) Two girls tried the chicken biscuits with gravy and breakfast potatoes. Spoiled by the oozing savory flavors of Metro Diner, Deerwood Diner and Maple Street, these dishes were dull and unthrilling to the morning taste buds (maybe they were distracted by the sizzle of the jalapeno tots?). Denise found the huevos ranchos not nearly as good as what she'd had in Texas, and even the side of salsa couldn't rescue the dish. I sampled it and recognized my dad had a sauce that really made this version paltry in comparison. What Happened to My Beignets?! The crowning moment of the breakfast was the beignets. Now, these were nothing like the Cafe Du Monde special, but they were freshly baked, moist, sweet and covered in powdery sugar. There was a sweet jelly like sauce for dipping, and it was just the ideal counterbalance to my hot taters. My breakfast was pleasing. My bill was not! It was $30 for this delayed piece by piece attempt for a feast. Ok, for me it wasn't a total tragedy, but the majority rules and the group won't be returning. The service was pleasant, the restaurant too busy. What IS all the fuss about? And the stawberry mimosa pitcher was not that sweet or interesting (though the juice flutes with strawberry garnishes were adorbs). Which gets me to thinking... I had 3 extra beignets and left them at Mandy's. Regrets. read more

Hubby and I tried Another Broken Egg Cafe for the first time after a nearby morning appointment. We were immediately seated and then greeted by our server Justin. I ordered the Crab Cake Benedict with country potatoes. The crab cake had plenty of crab and the hollandaise was tasty. I was a little disappointed in the potatoes. They weren't very hot and I had envisioned they would be pan fried in butter (my idea of country) but instead they were just cubed potatoes that were deep fried. Hubby enjoyed his biscuits and gravy. He was making lots of num-num sounds while eating. One suggestion I have is to provide a stevia sweetener option for coffee. There was only Splenda, sugar and saccharin. I can't believe anyone still offers saccharin anymore. Overall, I'll be back and would recommend this restaurant. read more

I decided to have brunch here today with a friend. We were going to an early matinee and it's located pretty close to Tinseltown movie theatre. We arrived at 11:30 and were told there was a 30 minute wait. I didn't know you could check in prior through Yelp. If I did it could have saved me some time. At about 12pm I asked hostess to check on our reservation and were told we'd have about 15 more minutes before our table was ready. Now, the 30 minute wait turned into 50 minutes. We were pressed for time so we opted to sit at the bar. Two people just happened to be leaving so we snatched those seats. Otherwise we'd still be waiting for our table. Lol We ordered the Lobster and Brie omelette and the pancake trio which comes with two eggs and choice of meat. We didn't want potatoes so we asked for fruit instead. We were not told about the $2 up charge. I don't mind paying extra I just like to be aware. I hate when people spend my money for me. We selected three different Pancakes. The lemon ricotta, banana foster and peach cobbler pancakes. They were all good but my favorite was the lemon ricotta. We really enjoyed the Lobster Brie omelette. The Lobster was tender and the Brie added a nice touch. The food was good but it was expensive. Our bill was $38 and we didn't have any cocktails. Pretty steep for breakfast. Lol We told our bartender we were in a hurry and she did speed up our order. Luckily we did make it to our movie in time. We would have preferred sitting at a table but the wait time was not accurate. Instead of 30 minutes it was more of a hour wait. I may try the location in Jacksonville beach to see if it's any better. read more

Saturday's here are extremely busy and the atmosphere is pleasant (if you like loads of people -lol). So needless to say this wasn't my first visit. Though, I was greatly disappointed with my meal. Came here based on good reviews, but was incredibly disappointed. Staff is very nice, but food was terrible and slow coming. Husband asked for bacon well done, but it was more rubbery and inedible than McDonald's. Guacamole on the side came out dark brown. Potatoes not fresh at all; tasted as if they'd been cooked the day before and just sat around. High prices for sad food. Won't be returning. read more

Delicious breakfast and great service. They were super packed so it was a bit slow but since they were short staffed it was understandable.

Went yesterday with a friend for a early birthday breakfast ( my birthday is July 30th). I had the shrimp & grits and an apple pie mimosa. Both items were delicious. My friend had an Hey Lucy! Omelette with a side of pancakes. The bartender even made a special cocktail for him. I like restaurants where if something isn't on the menu, you can ask for ingredients you want and the bartender will put a drink together with their added flare to it. The only small negative thing is on a hot day, I wish the place could have had better air conditioning because alot of us were a lil warm to our liking but it wasn't unbearable. And on a hot day sitting outside would have been nice but Florida heat would have ruined my eating experience. ( And That's No one's fault) I'll definitely be back though!! Good food ,great service outweighs Florida's heat - living here you learn to deal with it. They got great items on their menu to try & if like mimosas or sangria you can get it by the glass or pitcher! A pitcher would be great shared amongst friends on a nice hot day for SURE! Oh yeh I almost forgot, it's brunch hours they close at 2pm. So keep that in mind! read more
