My wife and I came here for brunch just minutes after we got married in October 2019. We've been back several times since then and they always sit us at the same table we sat at when we got married. Small things like this, along with their DELICIOUS food, is what keeps us coming back. Highly suggest their mimosas and shrimp & grits. Excellent food. Excellent service. read more

Gross - spinach egg scramble was covered in old cheese. Sick to your stomach feeling after eating here.

Perfect breakfast and brunch spot in town, I love this spot and there mimosas are super delicious. I got the country fried steak my taste buds were in cloud 9 the gravy is savory and sweet. The wait time wasn't bad at all either. read more

This is as the first time I've ever come and was seated right away. Normally the wait is so long that I choose not to stay. I've always heard the food was good and worth the wait. This was my first time eating here. It was 3 of us and none of us cared for our food. Our server was not very attentive to us. My orange juice tasted like it had went bad. I don't think I would give the place another try. I tried order the rum cake French toast and they were out. This may have changed my mind if I had that choice. read more

When it comes to breakfast Another Broken Egg Cafe has it going on! We arrived at 9:30 on a Sunday morning and the place was already full...luckily we found 2 seats at the bar. We were warmly greeted by the bartender/server Dominique. She is friendly, funny and was quick to provide anything we needed...sometimes before we knew we needed it. She started us off with a Mimosa; and by mimosa I mean a pitcher of them...yes, it was a wonderful start to casual Sunday. When Dom heard we were virgin customers she brought us out complimentary beignet! For breakfast the wife enjoyed the huevos rancheros with chorizo while I went with the crawfish skillet. Both came out quick, hot and delicious. It was obvious from the bar chatter they have plenty of repeat business, we hope to become regulars ourselves! read more

GOOD EATS I went his morning and had the Mardi Gras Omelet which had Shrimp, Crawfish Tails and Andouille Sausage inside topped with a Remoulade The was delicious. There were so many dishes that were tempting (meaning I have to pay them a visit more than once! I also had the crab cakes and fried green tomatoes. Which were very delicious as well. The gravy on the biscuit and gravy could use a little work on the seasoning side but I'm always down for a good brunch and this was exactly that. After my meal at Another Broken Egg, I started my journey to break another toilet but that's a different story. TRY IT!! read more

There are a lot of options for a sit down breakfast near Tapestry Park and Another Broken Egg is one of the best. Let's start with atmosphere. This place is warm and friendly. It's like home - lots of earth tones and warm lighting. It's like you went over to someone's house and had brunch. There is also a generous outside seating area which is heated for those colder days - ideal for larger parties. I had a waffle, eggs, and bacon combo. The waffle was cooked to perfection, and my over medium eggs - while a little overdone were great too. The bacon here came out a little soggy like it was recently microwaved after it came out of the oven but this was an all around great breakfast. The service here is fast and friendly, it is obvious the staff here is used to moving a large volume of people, that isn't to say that you are ever left feeling neglected. *sidenote* This joint has a full liquor bar ideal for Sunday fundays! read more

Good service, food and the best grits in town. (City Grits) Their menu has some nice choices. I had Crab Cake Benedict. They have a nice bar area, and patio for those that like to sit outside. Another Broken Egg Cafe - Crab omelette. I have tried a different breakfast each time I come and it is always delicious. - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Jacksonville, Florida

Tried this place as it was being raved about. I love a good eggs Benedict so I decided to give it a go. Was disappointed when I cut into my egg and there was no running yolk. Overall didn't have good service and I didn't complain but left an impression on me so much so I have never gone back to give them a second chance because of the lack of service. If you can find and mom and pop breakfast place I'd go there. I did t find the value of the items matched the quality I got and most mom and pop breakfast diners are the secret gems. read more

Decided to have a spur of a moment breakfast and came across Another Broken Egg as it wasn't too far from me. I went fairly at like 7:45 AM so there was not wait but plenty of people within the restaurant. I ordered the Mardi Gras omelette with shrimp, crawfish, and andouille sausage this came with grits and English muffin which I was allowed to substitute for toast. I also received an 1/2 order of the biscuit beignets. The waiter was very sweet and friendly she was willing to assist and help me with anything that I needed. Before I actually ordered it took me a while as the menu was that diverse and had a range of items. The food came out shortly after I ordered and the portions were very generous. The omelette was filled with seafood and sausage and tasted spectacular. I couldn't stop eating bites and bites at a time. The grits texturally was really good as well but they had slightly too much salt. I couldn't eat too much of them but I knew that whoever prepared was knowledgeable of how grits should be made. The biscuit beignets were so good, I'm glad I was able to try them. I ate them plain without even dipping them in the marmalade but they were so tasty. Overall, I enjoyed my breakfast and would definitely go back again. read more

Visited for brunch on a Wednesday around 11 am and I was disappointed. The wait for a table was super lengthy and the service super slow. Took about 40 minutes to get seated and at least 25 mins for the food to arrive. By the time everything was served food was cold. Not much else to say about this place, probably won't be back. read more

Another Broken Egg Cafe - A broken crab cake An another broken meal - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Jacksonville, Florida

After my first visit here this morning, I don't understand why there is consistently a line out the door every weekend. I love that you can add your name to the waitlist using Yelp, because the wait for 2 was about 45 min. They have both covered and uncovered outdoor seating, and indoor seating (obviously). Our server came over right away but sadly, that was the last time anything would be prompt. My mimosa took at least 15 min to come out and was warm. Starter beignets also took too long considering they are basically doughnuts (they were really good though, esp the jam). No one ever offered to refill our waters. I ordered an omelet with a pancake on the side but she brought out all of the food and said the pancake wasn't ready yet. The pancake then came out a minute later completely undercooked (see pic). They didn't have many meatless entrees on the breakfast/brunch menu and I didn't see any on the lunch menu. The veggie omelet had nice flavors but the eggs were too dry. I really don't think the food is worth the long wait time, slow service, and slightly excessive prices. I would rather eat down the street at First Watch. read more

Maureen (MOE) was so AWESOME After A long wait this morning. If it wasn't for SWWEEEEET MAUREEN AND her Lovely Service during our 1st meal here in at the Deerwood location...We wouldn't have been happy. We left soooooo happy! Thank you Maureen (MOE) and Another Broken Egg Restaurant! read more

The food was fantastic, as always, but the service was extremely subpar. When we arrived we were told there was a 15 minute wait for "first available." As we stood outside waiting, two empty tables were visible on the patio. After waiting 25 minutes we went inside to check, and were told another group was still ahead of us. I asked if there was a reason those tables were empty and the hostess said, "No, just no one has wanted them, do you?" Two seats had just opened at the bar so we declined, but it was very off putting to find out we could have been seated and eating 15 minutes sooner. Our entire meal I watched numerous tables inside and outside left empty and clean for extended periods of time while people waited outside for a table. Then, the bartender took a FaceTime call from her cell phone AT THE BAR, and stood in front of us having a casual five minute personal video call at full volume. It's a shame the service was so dismal, as the meal was exceptional, but the staff clearly does not care at all. read more

I've had nothing but pleasant Experiences in my previous visits to Another Broken Egg, however this particular visit was nothing like the previous ones. I guess every establishment is entitled to an off day! My silverware was dirty, it took an extremely long time to for us to get our food,(almost an hour), and the place wasn't that packed. How long does it really take to make 2 orders of French Toast and an Omelette . When we received our food, it was Luke warm and seemed like it had been sitting for some time before it was brought to us. On the bright side, the manager did offer to take 25% off of my total bill. So I can't be mad at that. Maybe next time they'll be on their game. Stay Yelping my friends! read more

I finally got a chance to try their cinnamon roll French toast and it did not disappoint, it was absolutely amazing! I sat outside so I got to enjoy the weather. It was a beautiful sunny day and there was not very much noise outside at all. The food was delicious. The service was great. My waitress stopped by several times to check on me and see if I needed anything else. I also ordered to-go for my husband and it came out within a few short minutes. This place is super popular and I would definitely sign up for the waitlist beforehand. We came here around 9:45am on Sunday and there was already a 30 min wait! We added the extra order of specialty pancakes with our entrees, which I highly recommend. We got the shrimp and grits, peach cobbler pancake, lemon blueberry goat cheese pancake, jalapeno brisket waffles, biscuit beignets and cinnamon roll french toast. I definitely recommend the shrimp and grits (one of the best that I've tried so far) and I also really liked their peach cobbler pancakes. Met a friend for breakfast at Another Broken Egg Café off Southside, and my taste buds were dancing with pleasure! Met at 9:30 for breakfast, but the restaurant was already full with a waitlist, so we opted to eat outside. (I hear that you can avoid the wait with the mobile app) Service was fast and friendly with large sized portions. With many different options to be had, I ordered the Southwest Scrambler. This comes with scrambled eggs filled with breakfast chorizo, onions, tomatoes and green chilies, topped with Cheddar Jack cheese. Served with sides of guacamole, salsa, flour tortillas, and a side of grits or potatoes. (I got the grits). The eggs were scrambled well mixed with the chorizo and veggies, and I topped it off with the guac and salsa. Delish! This was such a great treat for me, as I love me some Mexican food! Staff is attentive and prompt when checking on you during the meal, asking if you need anything else. The atmosphere was casual and they do not make you feel rushed, no matter the line! I appreciated that! I hope to return to try other breakfast options, as I am sure they are all as good as my scrambler was! read more

This review is tough. Came in for brunch. Definitely not worth the hour wait. The spiked cold brew coffee was delicious but took a long time to make; like the mimosas, it was too expensive. I had the chilaquiles which were pretty darn good - again, overpriced, especially with a side of "city grits." Liked the food, didn't like the wait and didn't like the prices (almost $80 for two people). read more

In town visiting for the gate river run and checked this place out with my parents. This place was awesome because they also have outdoor seating which allows you to bring doggos. My dog came along on this one. I ordered the veggie omelette which came with a bowl of fruit. The omelette was solid. Perfect since I recently went vegetarian. And the fruit bowl wasnt just your typical fruit bowl, it had berries and pomegranate seeds. My parents ordered pancakes and bacon which they said were delicious as well. Definitely cant go wrong if you have guests in town and need a breakfast spot. Keep in mind that since this place is highly rated, there may be a wait if you go peak times. read more

I am along time broken customer I have been to three of the four broken egg locations here in Jacksonville Florida and I believe the beach location is my favorite I find myself driving out of the way to go to that location and it's not because of the food I was ordered the same thing at all four restaurants or three restaurants rather it's the staff at the beach that make the dining more pleasurable and fun to be there yes it's just breakfast but my my server Callie Makes all the difference she's always bright and shiny and has a conversation with you genuinely concerned with your food And your experience if you could just clone that girl and place her in every store you'd have a daily home run thank you read more

The hostess is an idiot, but the food was great. The hostess was very rude and inhospitable. We were told a 45min wait, no big deal, so we wait. 1 hour later we are 8th in line!! After that she inquired about sitting outside and was told there is no wait...news we needed over an hour ago... The cinnamon roll french toast was amazing! Our waitress was great too. Nothing fancy here, just a good simple breakfast. At 11am, had to wait 15 min as a single on a Monday morning. Seems a bit unusual and I think I know why. The layout of the tables inside are only for groups of 4. More small 2 person tables should be utilized to get people in quickly for more sales per hour. Just my humble opinion. read more
