Lovely place and great food. I loved the Hey Lucy omelette and the OJ orange juice. We also ordered Eggs Blackstone Benedict but it wasn't that impressive to me. The wait time is 45mins so I suggest call for appointment before and then go. Overall it's a great place and worth visiting. read more

Finally got the chance to visit for brunch on a Saturday. On this visit, we were lucky to have been able to be seated so quickly with our party of 6 and greeted shortly after by our server. I decided to order the Mardi Gras Omelette with potatoes and a half order of Biscuit Beignets. Unfortunately, when the food was brought out everything was present except my side of potatoes. My server didn't notice, so we had to flag her down to get them. The omelette was good but I probably wouldn't order it again. The biscuit beignets were tasty, I just wish they would've been fresh. Another Broken Egg is a chain restaurant and it definitely feels that way. I've always likened it to be better than IHOP or Denny's. The decorations are similar to any chain breakfast place you've ever been to. The service was subpar. Our hostesses was confused about where to seat us and it was awkward to stand around as they tried to figure it out. We ended up being right behind the hostess stand. Our server wasn't memorable nor personable. We ordered the chicken and waffles and biscuits and gravy. The chicken and waffles were just waffles and chicken tenders sitting on top. Nothing else special about it. It looked really plain and almost like a joke. It should come with a side of fruit or eggs to offset how plain it looked. The biscuits and gravy were also subpar. The eggs were cooked perfectly though, with a runny yolk! Overall, just a mediocre experience for the amount of money you pay. I think I'd rather go to Denny's next time. read more

The atmosphere was so great. It was very calming. We ate outdoors and the day was beautiful. My husband had the Floridian and I had the crab cake Benedict. Both dishes were great and very flavorful. The mimosa was too sweet for me but it was drinkable lol. And that Bloody Mary definitely had a kick to it!!! The only issue I had was with the strawberry pound cake French toast. I thought it was going to come in French toast format but it was just pieces of strawberry pound cake with strawberries on top. It wasn't bad, but I was tricked. Will definitely eat here again! read more

The food would be great if they made it correctly. Unfortunately when you say something is wrong they are angry about it, rude and raise there voice. they remake it but make sure to spite you by only half correcting the situation. I won't be back there are hundreds of places here that deserve my business. The place is always dirty as well. I've worked in restaurants my whole adult life, not once have I been disrespectful to someone when I'm clearly wrong, I know I did not do it out of spite and mistakes happen so I apologize and ask how they want to correct the situation. I don't get this place. Even the manager acts this way. Get it together broken egg. read more

Came here with my family last week and we were extremely disappointed. To start, we were brought to a filthy table, littered in syrup. Menus too were covered in syrup. Food took a bit long to receive & we were very underwhelmed with what we had ordered. Throughout the entire meal, we had not been reached out to by our waitress until we had to ask for our check. We were offered 20% off our check for the lack of service we had received, which we declined. I used to enjoy coming here for brunch whenever I was home visiting my family, but this experience ruined it all for me. I will not be returning. read more

After a pretty rough first experience at ABE I was kindly offered the opportunity to come back and try out some other menu options on the house. This review is based on my second visit and I have to say it went much better than the first. Instead of a table like last time we opted for the bar and it was much nicer than sitting in the middle of their crowded dining room. The bartender/server was extremely friendly and accommodating. We ordered some alcoholic beverages which were tasty. My friend enjoyed a champagne cocktail and I had a flavored rum lemonade of sorts which was VERY sweet but tasted fine. They seemed to be of good value at around $7-$8 each. My friend ordered the lobster omelet dish and cleaned the plate. Swore it was one of the best breakfasts she'd had in a while. I was happy for her but unfortunately there were virtually no vegan options on the menu. I had to go with a plain bowl of oats and a side of fresh fruit, which was fine, but I was hoping for something with a little more substance that morning. The food arrived in decent time and was very hot and fresh. All in all I would say I had a much better second experience and ABE and I would be likely to return if they added some vegan options to their menu. I'll have to check back in soon and see if they take my advice. read more

How taboo is it to bring in a drink from another restaurant? If I am coming in to give you my business and you have no rules against it it's not a problem, right? I know it's not a good look... but y'all weren't giving away red holiday cups. The person working the bar clearly does not know that the walls of this place are not thick enough to hide your conversations. She went to the back and yelled "Someone brought a Starbucks drink in here are you kidding me?!" Then who I believe was a manager came out a few minutes later (as I'm writing this) or maybe just someone taking over service for the bar area. Not sure, but she came out and asked if I was ordering food today... no, just sitting here at the bar for shits and giggles. Didn't come here to eat anything, just to stare at people who are eating. Lol I feel semi bad leaving this review because I brought in an outside drink (oooo I'm the boogeyman, Death to me!) but if I'm going to order food from y'all, the service should at least be somewhat decent. You shouldn't go and talk (yell for the entire restaurant to hear) about me in the boh and then give me bad service. I am still giving you my money. And since you did not mention at all that it was a problem I expect to be treated as everyone else. When I worked at Zaxbys we always allowed you to bring something in as long as you were ordering from us. It didn't matter. If you wanted the fries from McDonald's and the chicken from Zaxbys, great! You were still ordering something from us. As much as I love this place I have the sourest taste in my mouth. The only reason I stayed was because I had a free stack of birthday pancakes. *sidenote there was another guy at the bar, with a Starbucks drink who was working on his laptop the entire time. Wonder if he got the same treatment I did* *ugh I hate updating updates... there was a lady who stepped in at the bar who ended up being nice. I still was sour about everything but she did her job with the right temperament and attitude* read more

I've been on the fence about Another Broken Egg for a few weeks now. One is because I'm not really a breakfast type of lady, and two is because of a few previous reviews. It wasn't amazing, but it wasn't all that bad either. For $43 which includes a $7 tip I would have rather went to a mom and pop diner somewhere. I will say that the fried green tomatoes were really good, I enjoyed the crab cake with it as well and the feta... Perfectly complimented. As far as my Lobster and Brioche omelette, I wasn't impressed. I was expecting way more of the white sauce that a couple reviewers raved about but my omelette was more on the dry side. My waitress was really sweet, and very familiar with the menu... she even charged my phone for ten minutes because I told her I had to have some pictures of the food. I waited 10 minutes after I put my food in to go boxes just to get the check. The restaurant had a good number of people, but they also have a lot of staff. So why things weren't executed in more of a timely matter, idk! Happy Yelping... read more

First, what's good. My server, a gentleman, was friendly and appropriately attentive. The Blackstone Eggs Benedict with cheesy grits were tasty. My main gripe is that if you are charged $15.98 for a breakfast, the portions should be generous. At that price, the bacon should be more than a1/4 strip of bacon (how about one whole slice?) and, please, be a little more generous with the hollandaise, the reason for ordering this. It was there, but in the last six months I had eggs benedict elsewhere that had three to four times the sauce so, you know, I could enjoy it. For the price, it was a small muffin and small eggs. The eggs benedict were warm, not hot, and the grits were piping hot. Apparently I was upcharged about a dollar for the tablespoon sprinkling of shredded packaged cheese on top. My breakfast with coffee and tip was over $25. I suppose this is what you get at a chain restaurant -- extreme portion control. Also, the dining room was like an icebox. I had to put my puffer jacket on in spite of being dressed in jeans and a sweater. Why so cold? I'm one and done here. Wish I had gone to Le Petit Paris, my other considered choice. read more

I kept seeing the "coming soon" signs while driving by this place and wondering when it would open. It wasn't until I saw on Yelp this week that they were open for business that I knew I had to try it. My mother and I went on a Saturday morning on a whim. When we got there the parking lot was not quite full but we could tell that we would be waiting a while just from seeing the people standing out front with pagers. Since it was just the two of us, I figure it wouldn't be long. We put our name down and were told about a 25-30 minute wait. No biggie. It was about 20 minutes later that we were being seated at a table. The first thing I noticed walking in was the bar. I wasn't expecting that at all. Then I noticed how small it was inside. It seemed like there was more outdoor seating then inside. The decor reminded me of a farmhouse's kitchen and dining room with lots for floral pictures and copper kitchenware hanging on the walls. The drink variety was expansive than most brunch chains. We ordered an apple juice and a mimosa to start. I like that the mimosa came with a strawberry, like it should. On the appetizer/starters section, the blackberry grits got my attention so I ordered that. My mother ordered a blueberry muffin. For our entrees, I got the Lobster Brie Omelet and mom ordered the Traditional. It took awhile for the food to come out since we got there around lunchtime and the servers were running around like crazy. The blackberry grits were good. I guess I was expecting stone-ground grits but these tasted like your regular run-of-the-mill kind. That's fine. Adding blackberries to them were delicious. Mom's blueberry muffin was huge! When she cut it in half, it look good gobs delish. It was all fluffy and moist. Mom enjoyed it. Our entrees came out and everything looked good. I was in lobster and Brie heaven. The omelette had shredded lobster on top with sliced Brie underneath and to my surprise, creamy cream cheese inside. This was foodgasmic! I also got a side of Mediterranean potatoes cooked in olive oil and sprinkled with feta cheese and other items I don't recall. My mother got The Traditional: scrambled eggs, substitution of turkey sausage, wheat toast, and potatoes. She stated, "It's good. I think I just like simple stuff." Service was very good given the chaos all around us with servers running every which way. We will definitely be back to try some lunch items. read more

Came to Jacksonville from Arkansas and our son brought us to this little gem. We were told a 45 minute wait but only waited 19 minutes. Son had a Monterrey Omelette, husband had Apple Fritter and I had the Lemon Blueberry Goat cheese pancakes. Food was so good. Loved the mild tasty spices in the sausage and the Goat cheese on the pancakes made them super creamy. Service was quick and friendly. We ended up sitting outside and it was a bit warm but the breeze was nice. Food was most certainly above average and I would definitely return and recommend this place. read more

I got a sneak taste of this at the moonbeam bash, they were sampling their city grits and a blueberry quinoa....oh my gosh those grits!!! I remembered them and needed more! So went with the family on a Sunday morning around 11 .....it was packed! They told us an hour wait for inside, or 20 minutes for outside...so we took the outside even though it's like 167 degrees outside with 1000 percent humidity...we really wanted some food... Ok get our table and our server was a complete sweetheart I think her name is Elizabeth, and she took wonderful care of us!! Now to the food.... We got a lot! Apps: City grits- yes get this!!! Grits mixed with Gouda cheese topped with bacon, tomato, and chives....sooooooooo good!! I could eat the whole thing myself... Fried green tomatoes- yum, we got the last order of the day, so these were small pieces of tomatoes with a crab cake in the middle..they actually comped this off with out us asking cause it took a little long to come out ( told you our server was great) ;) Entrees: Shrimp n grits- ehhh just ok, the shrimp were on the small side, and the seasoning was very lite, felt like needed to add salt and pepper The Floridian- huge omelette with cream cheese folded inside then topped with crabmeat and a ton of cheese, served with fried potato chunks.....this dish just tasted fattening...lol....a lot of butter and cheese Chicken Caesar salad- large salad with a very lemon forward Caesar dressing with 4 skewers of chicken...nice twist to traditional Caesar Ultimate omelet- hubby's he enjoyed and ate the whole thing So all in all pretty good, the food is on the heavy side so if your watching your weight I would eat here sparingly....but def try those City Grits! :) read more

Who doesn't love a great brunch place?! I loved my experience at Another Broken Egg, but I didn't "love love" it like I wanted to. Let's start with the waitlist: we joined the waitlist for a patio table and were given a time of 9:40 to be there. So we arrived at 9:35, checked in at the hostess stand, and stood outside to wait (we had the dingo with us). We finally got seated around 10:10 after staring at empty patio tables for half an hour. It really was uphill from there, though. Once seated, our server brought our pup water without us even having to ask and didn't complain when she licked her shoes. That's character. The patio area was clean, spacious, and had huge umbrellas to shade us from that October "still summer" sun. As for the food: I kind of played myself with my choice. I got the Floridian Omelette with garlic crab meat on top expecting to be a little less "crabby". My crab lover friends: this one's definitely for you. Luckily I added a peach cobbler pancake which was delicious and filling enough on its own. My husband got the Bacquezo Omelette with bacon and chorizo. His was very good and a little spicy which he enjoyed. Added bonus that both of the omelettes were filled with cream cheese. I really look forward to coming back here soon, maybe next time I'll drink a few mimosas first and can make a better personal food choice. read more

Another Broken Restaurant. Unimpressed. Ordered eggs ordered over medium served watery and not properly cooked after a very long wait. Had delivery of a supreme omelette and biscuits and gravy. Omelette was very tasty, however the veggies must've been run through a food processor that chopped up to the point where it was hard to identify the taste in the omelette, but you know they were there. Heavy on sausage and cheese in the mix . Potato's were ok... deep fried frozen type. Overall - it was good, but I was expecting a little more I guess. Looking forward to actually going into the restaurant and giving them a try. read more

My goodness this place could not have been any better. If you're a first timer they bring you free biscuit beignets that are DELICIOUS. Super crunchy and covered in powdered sugar on the outside, warm and fluffy on the inside. Their drinks are to die for. I had their seasonal mimosa (lemon blueberry) that was delicious but the peach Bellini was definitely my favorite and is on their regular menu. For brunch I ate the southern eggs Benedict, another seasonal item, and it was by far the best I've ever had. The biscuit was perfect, I could have ordered a whole order of biscuits by themselves and been happy. Service was so happy, attentive, and friendly. I never had a dry drink and they always checked in. read more

I saw on Yelp that this place has recently opened. So this past weekend, I dragged hubby and my sister to give it a try. I figure because it's new, we will have to be prepared to wait in line. Sure enough, when we got there around 9:30 on Saturday, there was already a line. However, the wait was not nearly as long as I expected. We were told 15-20, but i'd be surprised if we even waited 10 minutes. It was a nice day, not to hot or cold. So probably everyone else waiting in line opted for outside seating. We just figure first available and got a table inside. The inside was actually quite small, but they do have a pretty decent size outdoor seating. Being new, it was clean and have a freshness to everything. We enjoyed their coffee mug design with their cute logo and shape. I opted for their basic French Toast with added scrambled eggs and bacon. My sister ordered the Traditional with scrambled eggs, bacon and upgraded to city grits. Hubby ordered also the Traditional with grilled andouille sausage, poached eggs, and toast. Everything was pretty tasty. The French Toast was no fluff, just nicely done with powdered sugar, the way I like it. The grits my sister ordered was very tasty It may not be the best grits I've ever had, but nice touch on the extra add-ins like bacon bits, tomatoes, etc... My husband also enjoyed his meal. His poached eggs were just ever-so-slightly under cooked, but otherwise, everything was good. The service was friendly, but slow. But I think that is due to a place being new, still got a few kinks to work out. Overall, for a brand new place, it was quite good. We had lots to chat about and were in no rush, so it was overall, a very pleasant experience for us. I am happy to say that we now have a new close by brunch place to frequent. read more

If you don't challenge yourself. If you allow yourself to step foot in a new arena, then you're robbing yourself from creating something completely new. I don't believe cracking another egg, if you haven't cracked the first egg correctly. At first glance, Another Broken Egg Cafe in Tapestry Park is a trendy scene for all walks of life. Before the pandemic, the wait list would wrap around the building with excitement. During the pandemic, the hype is still well known throughout the Jacksonville community. Word of advice, use the yelp app to join the waitlist before you check-in with the host/hostess and it will save you time for a table. Luckily, I joined the waitlist on the Yelp app while I was waiting for a table. Yelp displayed I was 7th in line with a wait time between 20 - 25 minutes. Kudos to the host staff because I didn't have to wait the quoted time, instead I was seated within 5 minutes! The host guided me to my table outside and my server Maddie came over and welcomed my presence with a kind hello. Maddie asked if it was my first time in the restaurant, I quickly answered yes. At first glance with the menu, I decided to order a cup of coffee and a water allowing me more time to decide. Fun fact about the coffee, the coffee beans are from El Salvador, and grown using the volcanic ash around the volcano as fertile soil. Options on the menu bring me back to my culture experience in New Orleans. If you enjoy southern food with cajun history, I highly recommended tasting Another Broken Egg Cafe. When Maddie came back with my coffee and water, I decided to order the Mardi Gras Omelet with Biscuit Beignets on the side. Maddie recommended I get the banana fosters sauce with the biscuits. I believe I tasted heaven in my mouth with a culture twist at the end of tongue. As I finished my delicious meal, the manager came by to check on the overall experience, and I replied "fantastic". He also suggested trying the shrimp and grits because it has a kick at the end, if you enjoy spicy food. I think there is an argument with yourself "Am I trying hard enough?" and "Am I doing my best?". Food may be the answer for many unknown questions. I believe to reach your greatest potential you must include more wonder and amusement and less fear. Go find yourself. Happy Yelping, Ricky read more

We walked here a couple Saturdays ago from Hotel Indigo to get some breakfast before heading to Gainesville. We were there pretty early - 7:30ish maybe?, but there were only about 2 other tables filled at the time, so they were not busy at all! I had the cinnamon roll for my breakfast, it was large and I could not finish it. Good place to get breakfast! Food was great and I got a healthy option (because I'm "trying" to eat right :P). The service was great the first round and then the waitress kind of got a bit weird. She was a bit touchy, tried to make some awkward jokes, forgot to split my friend and I's check twice and almost walked away with my friend's credit card. I can see she was trying to be friendly. I get it, but sometimes there is a certain point not to get too weird with your guests. But anyways, to the food. I got the Fruit, Granola, and Quinoa. I was very impressed. The presentation was great and lots of fruits such as strawberries, blueberries, raisins, and banana. It has a good coconut flavor to it as well and chobani yogurt. Poured a small cup of, I believe milk, around the bowl and it was good. I was only able to eat about a quarter of the bowl because the fruits, granola and quinoa fills you up quickly! Very quickly! I had to take the remaining home. Such a great healthy breakfast and loved it. read more

This place is AMAZING!! The key to this place is downloading the Nowait app and getting in the digital queue before showing up as the wait can be really long. On a Sunday morning around 9AM we did the Nowait thing, got there about 5 minutes before it said to be there, were told another 30 minutes, and were seating in about 20. I think overall they have a hard time judging wait times here for whatever reason, but to us the food it worth the inconvenience. We started with the coffee and our waitress was great!! She brought out a bunch of those individual creamers with different flavors and my wife asked for a few more vanilla ones as that's what she likes and a few seconds later a whole handful was in front of her. The best think about this is when my wife asked for a to-go coffee at the end of our meal, the waitress brought out a few more as she saw my wife had already used most of them. A+ service!! The food is also to die for. I got the Cinnamon Roll French Toast and holy moly was this good! I got scrambled eggs with this and they were super light and fluffy. My wife got an Omelette with bacon and cheese and it was great. She got some potatoes with it and those things were delicious!! Seriously can't say enough good things about the the food here.
