We love the menu and the quality of the food at this restaurant. We were excited to learn it would be opening within walking distance of our home. We've visited a few times, sitting outside due to the pandemic, and have always found the food satisfying - though we wish there were some lower-carb sides on the menu. Today, for the third time, we experienced a problem with our order getting to the kitchen and back. We ordered, the waitress put in the order, we waited about a half-hour, then watched as our order was served to people at a nearby table, by a different waitress. Our waitress came out a few minutes later to explain there had been a mistake but that our food would be re-made. Another half-hour, and a portion of our order along with some portion of someone else's order was delivered. We finally got all the food we were expecting, and it was well prepared, but we didn't really enjoy the wait and the confusion. Each of the times we've had a problem, it was related to the handoff to the kitchen and from the kitchen back to us. Someone needs to work out a better system. We've eaten at several locations and this is the only one that seems to have this problem. read more

Stopped in for a Saturday breakfast on March 27th. Was seated within a few minutes outside -then it went downhill. Our server ( who looked liked Pete Davidson from Saturday Night Live) asked us for our drink order ( 2 coffees) After about 10 minutes he returned with the coffees. Then asked, do you want creamers... to which we replied yes. He proceeds to the next table and takes their order and walks away... he walks back in the area and we ask about the creamers... he says OK ( just like Pete Davidson would say it) and walks away. He walks to an outside station and retrieves and delivers them. Then he takes our orders and says, it will be awhile since the kitchen is really backed up. It was at least 30 minutes to receive two plates of eggs... and area tables also experienced slow delivery of food orders. The food was very good... but problem with the food backup needs to be addressed. It was a slow process to receive and pay the bill, maybe it was his first day. This morning my husband and I decided to give this place a shot although there was a good bit of negative reviews. Unlike others, we checked in on the yelp app and didn't experience poor wait times and we were in and out from 10-11am. The food was good but for the price I won't be back. We had two breakfast plates and one mimosa each and with our tip spent almost $65 on breakfast! Yikes.. Talk about inflation. $9 for a mimosa that barely had any champagne.. We tried this place today on a whim and definitely will not be returning. Our food was decent, the place was clean, but they have very strange policies that seemed to be targeted only at the black guests surrounding us. We only noticed this because our waitress said very odd things to both families on each side of our table, but those same policies were never stated to us. My partner and I both ordered meals and made edits to suit our tastes, but, the young couple on our left was told "if anything on that doesn't sound good to you, you should select another option. Changes cannot be made." Really? You can't remove something from a salad or a sandwich? Because we did exactly that not even 10 minutes before (with the SAME waitress!) and it was not a problem. Then, the cherry on top of it all -- was the couple to our right was told "only order that if you're absolutely sure you'll like it, because all sales are final. It cannot be sent back", again, with the same exact waitress. Our jaws dropped. Never in my life have I heard of a restaurant where you can't send your food back if it's not done correctly or you don't like it. "Final sale"?! This is a restaurant, not the clearance section of a retail store. Absolutely absurd and they should be ashamed. read more

I was excited to visit this new location closer to my house and it was great! After a confusing time with the waitlist online and checking in process, we grabbed seats at the bar. Horrible service! I can on 2/16 around 1:15 and all the services acted like they didn't want to be at work. After standing at the host stand for 15 minutes waiting to be seated, I walked over to the bar and asked could I sit down. Always an amazing experience. One of our favorite places to go not just because of the awesome food and drinks but also the friendliness of the staff. I appreciate them so much more since having to deal with the inconvenience and safety concerns of COVID. I was so uncomfortable watching the staff incorrect wear or no wear of masks- most wore their mask as a "chin guard" and bust boys and food servers didn't all wear masks. We should all be doing our part right now, and business' in the absence of government guidance should do the right thing for their employees and for their guests. Guests wearing masks until they are seated and employees wearing mask while they are at work at all times is something that should be done for the benefit of all. When it comes to the food, my omelette came out and I noticed it had probably a dozen large garlic cloves which were not cut or minced- I have never seen a meal served with garlic cloves like this. There was absolutely no flavor of garlic once I moved there to the side- I can't imagine that there is any guest that wants to bite into this many garlic cloves into an omelette. I asked the waitress if this is the normal prep of garlic for this omelette. She said it is---I can't imagine that to the case but between the lack of mask wear and this garlic situation I already decided I will not be returning here so it wasn't worth further discussing this. After waiting 45 minutes for our food to partially arrive, my Mardi Gras omelette was cold and my husband's Benedict came with completely cooked eggs, no runny yolks. The servers were all very friendly, but they need more training. And the kitchen needs serious attention. There's no excuse why their performance was so poor today. To make matters worse, we watched a table busser walk into the kitchen, grab two pickles barehanded and then drip all the way to the hostess stand where she and the hostess ate the pickles. Complete disappointment here today!! I would give zero if I could!! I come from Tampa, FL and you won't believe the excitement when I saw another broken egg as a place to have brunch in the area. We have one just down the street from the base. The one at home is 100% top notch with their food and service. We were sat at 12:45 and were offered water. Waited for the water for about 15 mins. Someone came with water and went to the table next to us that had just gotten seated. They had a look of surprise on their faces as they had JUST gotten seated and were brought water. After asking several times and the poor waitress was the only one showing face!! The manager NOT ONCE came out to apologize for how long we waited. After an hour of waiting we received our food. I ordered Bananas Foster Waffles and what you see on the photo's is what I got. I was told they didn't have Foster syrup!!! Really??? The food was tepid at that and of course they took that off the bill (I wasn't paying for something I didn't eat and wasn't what I ordered) I asked to speak to the manager and I could see him, the young lady went to tell him I would like to speak to him and he truly didn't GAF because he stayed EXACTLY where he was standing at the back of the restaurant!! So I love the food here. My problem is every time I come here the service is terrible. I've gone 15 minutes without being checked on. No drink refills, no clue where my food is, sometimes there is nobody behind the bar when you want to order drinks. I have no problem when I go to the tapestry park location, but most of the times when I come here see the waiters and waitresses coming from outside and they're coming from a smoke break or maybe they're just on their phone somewhere. Hello all. The Wife decided to treat me to brunch on Sunday {8/23} at Another Broken Egg on Margaret Street. Well we normally go to the one at the beach but was in Riverside so we tried that one, HUGE MISTAKE. We got there sat down fairly quick an orderd. The meal came {Chicken &Waffle} and the frst thing I noticed was my food was cold and I asked for extra Chipotle Syrup and got regular syrup. The waitress canecyo tye table and I explained to her and she went to the manager. Later kn he came to the table to ask if I just wanted some more syrup. I asked him what was gonna do withnit put it on the frozen waffle pop! He came back to the table with the bill and said next time we will do better. My reply was there want be a next time!! This review isn't based on the food or my experience by the staff while there. This is simply based on them charging my card twice for one visit. I went on 6/25 (so says the transaction date for both charges on my banks end) and was charged on 7/10 and then a week later on 7/17 for the same amount. I called the restaurant when I saw it and was informed that I was the 20th or so customer that has called in with said complaint. The manager apologized, said that it wasn't on them and that I need to call visa or my bank since they didn't get paid for it and there was nothing that could do. He took my number/name and said he'd check up on it. Why? There's nothing you can do, right? He did it just to appease me and get me off the line while offering no excuse that made any sense whatsoever. FF to a couple days later when I finally have some time off and can call the bank, they say that it was ran twice on their end and that it was ran as a signature verification, yet, it shows the same date. Not sure what is going on. Had to make a dispute with them and will have to wait up to 10 business days to get the results. This isn't the time for anyone to be making mistakes such as this. I couldn't imagine what it would be like if I didn't have the money to cover this and the stress it could've potentially caused. I wasted 45 minutes of my time this am trying to get this handled. I was so happy to know that there was a new breakfast place opening a stones throw from my apartment. The food was good. My daughter loved it. And now, I don't see myself going back after this blunder. Actually, the mistake is ok. Not admitting it, accepting responsibility, or any follow up as of yet is the true crime here. read more

Alright where do i start? When we first arrived we were seated in a timely manner however the wait time to order food was at least 20-30 mins no water no waiter just sitting there waiting. Some of the workers were to busy talking or being on their phone. A hostess/ the person that sat us (im not sure of their roles) finally came to get our order after seeing we weren't attended to. The mimosas were great I will def be back for those. The presentation for the food was not the best, The French toast wasn't as good as I thought, I ordered eggs bacon and sausage patties. The eggs didn't seem seasoned, bacon was good but the sausage had to much oregano? Basil? I'm not sure but it's waaaaay tooooo muchhhhhh!!! They look & taste more like burger sliders. The beignets were really good although I didn't care for the citrus sauce it came with. My husband liked the chicken & waffles he didn't have many complaints he did say the chipotle honey sauce for it sneaks up but that wasn't a issue.
