Dec 2, 2017 My family visited ABEC we had a party of 15 to celebrate my mom's birthday. I called ahead on Thursday, Nov 30, 2017 to make reservations and was told that seating was first come first serve and they did not take reservations. I showed up at approx. 930am placed my name a party of 15, I was told it would be a hour and 10 minute wait. The rest of my family dragged in 10am to 1015am. We waited and waited over 1 hour and half. There had been numerous tables unseated that could have been easily pulled together to accommodate our party. Instead the hostess kept seating walk in tables of 2-4 parties. They could have sat us 3 times as many people as they sat. We approached the staff about why we were not being seated because we have no room at this point. When we pointed out that we could have been sat 3 times the hostess stated its the way my manager told me to seat people. The manger came said he did not know we were waiting and there was a problem. He looked around well you can continue to wait or leave we have no available seats at the moment to seat your party. We chose to leave after 1 hour and 45 minute wait. This establishment offered poor communication and did not honor there first come first serve policy. I've to ABEC in Asheville, NC numerous times with big parties and never walked away with a wonderful experience. The location on Woodruff Rd. So this place is always amazing, it's an awesome and delicious take on your classic comforting breakfast and brunch plates. Not to mention their pitchers of mimosas are the perfect start to a Sunday funday. Make sure you try the beignets! That pineapple jelly or whatever it is on the side is the perfect way to compliment those sweet and soft little pieces of heaven. read more

There is one place in town that I take all my guest visitors and this is it. It is always a hit with them. Everything is great. The Bloody Mary is a landmark signature for them. Don't pass it up. Service is fantastic. I will say the wait is a bit excessive and the waiting area is totally inadequate but great food is worth the wait. One of most favorite brunch places. I always enjoy the food and the drinks!!! But my waitress WENDY G was not the best. She was very rushy, not paying attention a lot of mistakes. First time and it won't be the last!!! The wait was kinda long - but now we know why! Our waiter, Scott, was super friendly and gave really great menu suggestions. I had the crab cakes with green tomatoes and my husband had the lobster and Brie omelette. SO GOOD!!!!!!! The coffee was really great too. So all in all....really great food and really great service. The breakfast is good. I prefer Another Broken Egg Cafe over all the other chain restaurants (IHop, Waffle House, Denny's)... The customer service has been great too. I typically get the Traditional Breakfast with an extra pancake. Occasionally, I will dabble into the omelettes. The mimosas are also a favorite.... read more

I have been to this location twice now and I went one in New Orleans. It's a nice breakfast and brunch spot. The last time I was here I had the lemon goat cheese pancakes which were very good. This time I'm getting the shrimp and grits, which I'm sure will be good too. I highly recommend giving this place a shot. read more

I have been coming here for a bit and I usually have a great experience. one things they don't do is offer water, yes I would like a water especially if I'm drinking mimosas. My waitress seemed friendly but she did take till the end to give us water and she keep saying that she was busy with a big table and I caught her sitting down at a table two different times, I understand busy but not lazy or rude. Ate breakfast here today. I doubt I will ever come back. English muffin was a crispy critter. Eggs over easy were cooked to perfection. Asked for grits instead of potato, got potato. They did bring me grits after asking again and didn't charge me extra. Pattie sausage was not to my liking. Personally I did not like the seasoning. Maybe just me. Amazing! We love the eggs black stone, crab cakes, fried green tomatoes and the beignets! We have tried so many other things too and it's always delicious! They also have a good variety of mimosas and bloody Mary's. Always quick service too! I'd always passed by this cafe when I was in Vintage Park, so I decided to finally check it out on my lunch break. Not only was the food delicious and very well-portioned for the price; the service was fantastic! My server, Paula, did an amazing job making sure I was well-attended, answering my questions about the menu - she even offered to give me an iced tea to go when I was finished. I hung back so I could compliment her service to the manager, and I made sure to leave her a generous tip. If Paula is any indication of Another Broken Egg's service quality, I have to say the restaurant is firing on all cylinders. If you're looking for a delicious brunch with exceptional, friendly servers - Another Broken Egg is the place to be. Five stars all around! Excellent job! read more

I love the food its very delicious, the employees are nice and friendly. However the waitlist isnt the best option, the phones do not work so you cant call in and you also have to go in to get placed on the waitlist if you have anymore than 7 people in your group. I dont think that method is very organized or helpful especially to those with bigger parties. Other than that, great restaurant read more

I miss New Orleans!!! Had a friend in town from back home over the weekend and went to "Another Broken Egg". Such a GREAT choice and my first time. I did NOT know it originated from Louisiana. So many great New Orleans dishes. Cajun Louisiana Crawfish Skillet, Crab Cake Benedict, and more. It was hard to choose. The food is delicious! I never Internet shame but... Thank you Another Broken Egg Cafe for the (not so) awesome or available Veterans breakfast. My husband (am Army Vet) and myself came to partake in his Veterans Breakfast, as advertised on your website, to celebrate him and his service to our country. He was denied the breakfast because "the stuff didn't come in for it, so we don't have anything today". Thank YOU Another Broken Egg for YOUR service because you certainly aren't thanking your vets for their service to our country as advertised. Don't advertise it if you're not going to do it! I mean how hard would it be to substitute. Is this how you get customers? Maybe you don't understand the importance of this day and everyday our military serves or the sacrifices they make. All I want to say is CITY GRITS!!!!!!!! I can eat their grits everyday. This place always has a wait so if you want to go download the "nowait" app so you can get in line before you get there. I havent had a bad dish here ever. From their shrimp and grits with their city grits to their eggs benedict everything is like a touch of heaven in your mouth. read more
