We went here for brunch and it was generally a disappointment. My biggest complaint is that we order an appetizer and it came out after we got our food. When we got our meals we told the waiter to forget about the app and he said that the order was in and he couldn't cancel it. What is the point of the appetizer then? So we paid for food we didn't want. Also, our sons' food came ten minutes after ours (along with the appetizer). Nothing made any sense. I ordered the Louisiana Crawfish bowl and the eggs were overdone and there were seemingly barely any crawfish. My wife did like her meal but I can't recall what it was. read more

I picked this place because of the reviews and my friends recommendation, I'm glad i did. This place has a nice rustic feel to it and the decor has the same vibe. Perfectly located restaurant near the convention center and downtown. From my visit today majority of the customers, are from passerby's and a few are loyal customers. I recommend you swing on by and grab a bite to eat. They have the right amount of waitress and tables so your not waiting to long to order. And right now they have a seasonal menu which is great. The service was better, not stellar, but much better than the visit that motivated the review below. Original post: Second time eating at this location and did not live up to previous experience. Food quality and taste is good, service was awful. It was busy and we were prepared for the 40 minute wait. We got dropped off the wait list because of an internet glitch, according to staff. After nearly an hour I asked, and then they sat us immediately. Drinks were served right away, but we waited another 20 minutes for the server to take our food order. We also had to ask for silverware and napkins. Update: I was contacted by someone in corporate asking for more details. She assured me our concerns would be addressed. My wife and I went for brunch on Wednesday November 24. I have had a meal at the Broken Egg before but the last time the service and the food were sub-par. This time they hit the score of 100 plus. Of course, we needed to have a good lunch - and we definitely got one at Another Broken Egg. My wife went with, and enjoyed, her Eggs Benedict, but had to say that the eggs were a bit over cooked this time. However, I went with the Bacquezo Omelet - a delicious choice. The spicy, tasty chorizo sprinkled on top was complimented by the chorizo inside the omelet. When combined with the cream cheese, bacon and Jack cheese, it made for a fantastic, and filling, omelet. We also split Peach Cobbler pancake - splitting was good because neither of us could have eaten a whole one after our main course. Overall, an incredible brunch meal at this Broken Egg location, along with our caring wait staff, helped make for quite a nice meal. So i ordered the Brie & lobster omelette with the side potatoes. The omelette was not hot at all, the potatoes were unseasoned and plain with nothing on them. We went on a Sunday morning for breakfast.The atmosphere around the restaurant is so calming. It is settled right in the middle of Fairhope, very east to find on the corner. We were seated right away. We ordered and had impeccable service. For those who follow my Yelp know that I didn't have such a good experience with this restaurant in San Destin, but let me tell ya Fairhope staff made up for it. They were very pleasant and inviting. My husband and I enjoyed our Sunday. I even loved the coffee and mug so much that I bought one to take home that can be sat on the stove and heated if need be. This was a hopping place on a Saturday at noon. You could just tell this was THE place to be if you were hungry. There was a bit of a wait, but if you give them your phone number, they will text you when your table is ready. In the meantime, there are so many gorgeous shops to browse near the cafe. The service was just lovely. Our glasses were always refreshed and our food came out super fast despite the busy crowd. The ingredients are fresh and tasty. The beignets were crispy on the outside soft and fluffy on the inside. The fruity dipping sauce together made it taste just like a warm, sweet jelly donut. So disappointing. My experience is a 50 min wait that was longer but in line with what we were told. Seated in booth in bar area. Crowded bar area caused wait and bus staff to hold trays/bus bins over our head as they passed by. After 20 min of sitting and no acknowledgment from any wait staff we simply left. Large/adequate wait staff present just seemingly inept to handle a reasonable Sunday brunch crowd. Best to avoid this place. Food is typically adequate, but for me this suggests problems that can be avoided by going elsewhere. read more
