Tasty food and drinks, located on a charming block, high chairs available, and attentive service.

I got myself a beautiful ABEC mug!

We are visiting from NY and strolled to Another Broken Egg cafe for Sunday brunch. The atmosphere was nice and the beautiful building reminded me of the French Quarter in New Orleans! Our waitress Maddie was magnificent: beautiful smile with dimples, positive attitude, knowledgeable about the menu, suggested the "city grits" which were delicious, gave me a Vegetarian Menu which I needed! Also brought me hot water with lemon wedges which I appreciated. I tried the Hey Lucy omelette and hubby ordered biscuits & gravy & sausage. Everything was yummy! I asked Maddie about good places to visit in Fairhope and she wrote me a whole list! I vote for Maddie to be the next Mayor of Fairhope!

Staff and my waitress were spot on! It is the Art Festival and they were busy! Got a seat pretty quick, using the online waitlist option. Quick service and so much to choose from. Various drinks and plates, you can't go wrong. I chose the protein bowl specifically for the high protein but whoa, it was loaded with carbs too... they balance out tho right ? The location was clean and wasn't noisy because of the outside festival. Will return!

Cute little downtown lunch & breakfast spot. We've eaten at other locations , so familiar with them. Staff were attentive and the decor was fresh and clean. The food is delicious with generous portions. Spouse enjoyed the Bloody Mary. Ample and comfortable seating. Menu had enough variety that there was something for everyone, and full menu served all day.

My wife and I returned this past weekend, Saturday, more specifically. Again I used their online waitlist, and was informed that the wait would be at least 45 minutes. We arrived 20 minutes after I joined the waitlist, and so expected to wait at least another 25 minutes. Downtown Fairhope was bustling that afternoon, with nearly every parking space taken. So we were surprised upon arrival to find the restaurant half full, and no waiting for a table. The hostess was friendly, but the waitress took her sweet time introducing herself. In fact, after waiting a good 10 minutes, the hostess reappeared and assured us that the waitress would be along soon. She must have gone off to locate her, because the waitress appeared within 2 minutes after the hostess spoke to us. We had used the time waiting to peruse the menu and make our selections, which we gave to the waitress straight away. Our dishes, both extraordinarily good omelets arrived within minutes, the Supreme Omelet for myself, and the Mardi Gras Omelet for my wife. We savored every bite, and vowed once again to return to try yet another couple of items from their menu. The only thing I found disappointing about our meal was the coffee. It was served lukewarm warm with a taste much like a day old, reheated pot. I had previously found the coffee to be acceptable, few places seem to get it brewed right, and judging by what we were served that day, it appears this establishment has joined the ranks of poor coffee makers. Maybe next time I will try a mocktail instead. Also, I suppose I will give up on using their online waitlist. It seems to be of no benefit.

My husband & I popped in for brunch on Wednesday afternoon & had a great experience! There was no wait, our waitress was so sweet & our food came out quickly. I had the cinnamon roll French toast (pictured) & it was absolutely delicious! My husband got one of their omelets & loved it as well. Great food, fun ambiance right down town & service was top notch! Highly recommend giving them a try.

We love trying these places whenever we can. Fairhope has a beautiful location and the decor is appealing in this particular cafe. Delicious food, every time with huge portions. Our server was attentive and polite. It made for a great end to our short getaway to Alabama.

kid's meal. Tiny!

Disappointing. The place itself looks great! Cosy, well kept. Nice. Service is random students on summer jobs. Little training; little care about anything. Food is ok. I know the chain very well and have to say this one spot offered the least good of all locations. The kid's meal was a joke. Tiny portions; prob half the size of other locations. See pic. A will not repeat

Plenty of space....still waiting for a table. Ok, bye!
Ingrid U.

Female hostess doesn't have the first clue about how to manage customers waiting to be seated. She has no concept of organization or communication. Totally empty tables.....still waiting to be seated. People entering after us are seated right away. Didn't take a name or phone number or anything. Only 3 of us. Plenty of other nice places to eat in Fairhope. Don't recommend this place at all. It's not busy for a reason. My father in law also made a reservation online. 45 minutes later, after we went to another restaurant, had eaten and were paying, he received a text the table was ready. Thank you but no, we're not returning.

Great location. Food is ok. Service is usually decent. Open more than other brunch spots so that's always a plus.

I also had a tasty iced coffee with brown sugar and pralines it was so good. I love how it wasn't overly sweet, I want a nice treat with caffeine not diabetes. It hit the spot. I appreciate that they have oat milk or almond in addition to cows milk. If I can't say enough nice things let me add that my server Brandy was very kind, attentive and if I were her boss I would be very happy because she's the kind of person you want to represent your business. The ambience and decor were also very nice, it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say soothing. Even though it was an absolutely beautiful day I chose to sit my skinny derrière inside on the padded half booth because I had been outside all day riding and wanted to relax. The Barn at the Hope Farm is a lovely spot to grab a latté and a croissant or a little lunch. I recommend it for those of us who prefer gracious living and don't just eat to survive.

It was my wife's birthday, and thus she had the privilege to choose where we would go for brunch…read more I had previously decided that I would not dine at this restaurant again, not because I had some gripe about the food, which was excellent, but because their table arrangement in the main dinning area made it difficult for wheelchair bound customers, such as myself, to navigate. This was not a hard and solid decision on my part. Instead I had decided that if I had my druthers, I would not eat there. Of course when it is my babécita's birthday my druthers were of no consideration and I found myself again at Tamara's for a Saturday brunch. We arrived to find the main dinning area to be full, and since we didn't feel like eating in the open to the outside area, we learned that we had an estimated 20-30 minutes wait for a table. Their was six to eight customers waiting around the hostess's stand inside, with another six waiting outside under a covered area. We decided to wait outside, but after about 15 minutes a rain shower began. The kind people waiting on the benches and standing under the awning encouraged us to move in further from the edge where they we were getting wet. A couple standing moved into the restaurant to make even more room for us. The hostess, seeing that it was raining outside when this couple opened the door, came to the door and invited us all in, announcing that she would make room for us all. Which she promptly did. My wife had informed the hostess of my needs, and had requested a corner table for ease of access, but once inside the restaurant, I noticed that the table arrangement seemed less crowded, which helped to ease my concerns about getting to a table. As it happened, right at the 20 minute mark, we were informed that our table was ready, and we were led to a table, not on a corner, but to a table at the end of a row of tables, and against a partition. I found this arrangement even better than our requested corner table, as it meant that I had no foot traffic behind me that I might inadvertently bump into, or bump into me. I was grateful for the evidently experienced hostess working out such a fine alternative to our request, and doing it in such a timely manner. Now I get to the food, and wait staff service. All I can say is that Tamara's management has both pegged to the highest degree. Our waiter appeared immediately, took our orders since we had perused the menu while we were waiting to be seated. As for our food, my birthday girl had the Spinach Eggs Benedict, and I had the Fried Chicken and Waffles. Both were excellent. Neither of us had a single complaint, and my wife, who is fascinated with Tamara's long list of various types of Eggs Benedicts, promised that we will be back for many more visits to try each one. I am grateful that I was forced to forego my pledge not to patronize this establishment again, as it provided an opportunity to learn how the good people at Tamara's made adjustments that allowed my experience to be enjoyed more fully. I am also grateful in that we can continue to enjoy their excellent food.

We dined at Tamara's Downtown on April 12, 2026, around 5:10 PM, and overall I'd describe the…read moreexperience as good, not great. First off, the ambiance is very nice--comfortable, welcoming, and a great setting for a casual evening out. The service was also very good. Our server was attentive and friendly, which definitely made a positive impression. As for the food: * Raw oysters ($22): Fresh, plump, and overall very good quality. That said, it almost felt like each oyster had a bit of added salt, which threw me off a little. Not bad, just slightly off from what I'd expect. * Sushi-grade ahi tuna appetizer ($14): This was one of the highlights--very good flavor and nicely prepared. * Gumbo (large - $12): Probably the biggest disappointment. I'd rate it about a 5/10. It wasn't terrible, but it lacked depth and richness compared to what you'd expect in this region. * Happy hour mimosa ($3) and margarita ($6): Solid for the price--no complaints there. Total came out to about $62 cash ($64.30 with card fee), which feels reasonable for what we ordered. Overall, this is a place I'd come back to if I were already in the area and someone suggested it, but not somewhere I'd go out of my way for. If I did return, it would likely be for the oysters or the ahi tuna. Good experience, just not quite memorable enough to push it past three stars.
