Experience and Ambience: I think this place used to be a pizzeria and so think little on the smaller side with a few tables and pickup counter. Not too far off the main drag and only a couple blocks away from Red Arrow Park off of Lake Michigan. Great lunch or dinner spot after a day at the beach! Food: The food here was so good and authentic. The portions were very generous for many of the dishes that we ordered and the leftovers heated up well for another meal. The Bahn Mi at Anne's has got to be the largest Bahn Mi I have ever ordered. And this wasn't a quality vs. quantity issue either, the sandwich was super tasty and satisfying and only $13! The fried rice, seafood pho and pad thai was also very good. Anne's didn't skimp on the protein in the dish and ingredients were super fresh. Prices were also very good when considering portion sizes, usually $12-$14 a dish (and some could easily serve two people if you wanted to). Drinks: My kids had the brown sugar bubble tea with their meal. I think it was like 20 ounces and it was blended instead of on the rocks. The brown sugar was heated like hot fudge and nice and thick on the bottom. We liked it! Verdict: Well worth the rave review and I will gladly be back for another Bahn Mi in the future!

Great food with great flavor. We had pork egg rolls, crab Rangoon, short rib and pad Thai. Everything was fantastic.

Still absolutely love their Crab Rangoon's and the Sushi, but entrees can be average or worse…read more Have eaten an entree at this restaurant four times and I've never been super impressed. In fact, one time, the beef in the Beef and Broccoli was not edible. Had the consistency of cooked rubber. Couldn't eat it. Terrible! Other entrees were much better, today I had the Sesame Chicken. I'd say that was okay, but our sushi was the highlight of the meal. Going to continue frequenting for Sushi and Crab Rangoon's but might skip the entrees.

Middle of the afternoon and a Sunday and we almost had the place to ourselves. The restaurant is spacious with many seating options. Service was prompt and attentive. The menu is large with sushi, Chinese and noodle options. There was also a nice assortment of appetizers. We chose the guacamole roll (novel and looked interesting, the rainbow roll (raw and familiar to us) and the mizu roll with a crab Rangoon appetizer. Each dish was beautifully prepared, presented and really fresh and flavorful. If this is the only sushi place in the area, it's all you will need. Location is also wonderful, situated across the street from a beautiful waterfront park with lots of good walking paths and benches.

There were 4 other customers in the establishment when we entered. After a few minutes of browsing through their menu, we ordered. We waited about 15 minutes for our food and they were just trickling in. The pho bowls came out first. A few minutes later, the non-spicy green curry and fried rice came. About 10 more customers entered the establishment. While everyone was chowing down, I was waiting for my pad Thai noodles and my husband was waiting for his spicy green curry. Finally when the pad Thai noodles arrived, everyone else was already half done eating. From the time we ordered to when my husband's order of green curry came out, it had been 30 minutes. The people who came in after us got their food. We turned the order away. The noodles were way over cooked but as you can see from the picture, the chicken they put in the noodles were ground up chicken breast. I couldn't even taste it. I was expecting slices of meat. Don't even waste your time here. If I could post a negative rating, I would. This is the worst restaurant I've been to in years. The customer service is horrible. Our drinks weren't even refilled. No one checked on us. Their tables were sticky. Never again.
