We had breakfast at this gorgeous spot inside an old bank, and it's so beautiful and classy. I ordered potato pancakes, French toast, and crepes and every bite was delicious, I wasn't expecting it to be this good for the price, it's super fair. The restaurant used to be an old bank. It is really neat inside. But it needs new carpeting and some updating. Our server was friendly. The reason for 2 stars, I couldn't believe how much the bill was for very basic food. The pecan waffle did not have any pecans or whipped cream on top. Very boring. My breakfast sandwich was very underwhelming. McDs is better. Shame on me for not noticing a side of sausage links is $5.00 (which were hard and dried out). And a fruit substitute for potatoes is $7.00! Surprisingly the restaurant had a good number of people coming and going. I just think there are better restaurants in town to get breakfast. Service was superb (very friendly) as was the food (delicious)! I had an omelette with pancakes and hash browns and he had 2 eggs, bacon, potatoes and couple small pancakes (actually 2 small pancakes each served on small plates with sensible sides to hold the syrup!). I've never thought of a dish with small sides for pancakes, but it was perfect!. Loved the interesting atmosphere...formerly a bank. We'll be back here next time we're in town! read more

I love Dali's. It was a First National Bank originally so the fact that they kept the ambiance of the bank fixtures is neat. I also like that they feed the less fortunate for free especially in the cold winters. There's a sign that says a hot bowl of soup on the house is provided. I was here over the weekend for brunch, and I'm not quite sure why I don't come here more often. When you come inside you notice how big and clean everything is . We were greeted promptly at the door and all of us ordered everything from waffles to eggs Benedict to skillets. All of our food was delicious with no complaints, and the wait for our food was little to none. I got the eggs Benedict, and I'd have to say it might just be the BEST I've ever had . I wasn't expecting the quality and presentation to be so above par. Our waitress was amazing and checked in on us often as well. The price is worth anything you get here. We will definitely be going back here again, like I said in the beginning, I'm not sure why we don't come here more often, but now we will. read more

We were attending a volleyball tournament and wanted to eat local. The restaurant has a very nice open bright atmosphere. Disappointed with breakfast. The steak was not medium well as requested and was tough and leather like. The hasbrowns were super crispy and water and grease soaked. Atmosphere: Beautiful building. The inside has really nice seating, bathrooms and atmosphere. So much natural light makes it a really enjoyable experience. Off street parking only I believe, but no parking meters. Make sure you stick to the two hour limit, the cops are well known for leaving parking tickets on cars over the limit on this street. Service: Friendly staff that are accommodating to adjusting menu items. They usually only have 2 servers on staff, so service can be a bit slow at times, but I've never been here for more than an hour because the kitchen is very efficient. Food: Great prices, for a really good meal. I recommend the Gyro Skillet 100%, the gyro meat was really well seasoned and flavorful, the tomatoes were bright red and fresh, the onions were caramelized and the hash browns were super crispy. I've only had breakfast items off the menu, but don't be fooled, the menu LITERALLY is 6 pages long of everything you can pretty much think of and then some. Come here looking for a nice home cooked meal at a reasonable price for a large quantity of food, you won't leave hungry! read more

Once again, I allowed Yelp to help me find a restaurant in a new town. As usual, the reviews proved to be very accurate. They led me to an excellent breakfast and a rare five-star rating for the restaurant I was eating in. I'm not going to say this was the easiest restaurant to find. The sign for the business is not very large, despite the size of the building (a former bank). I'm glad I drove around the block and caught a glimpse of the sign. I also wasn't deterred by an empty restaurant at 9 AM on a Friday morning. The staff, were knowledgeable and friendly. While the service was not exactly speedy, the food was worth the wait. The coffee was hot, tasty and frequently refilled. I ordered a Portabella mushroom Benedict dish. The hollandaise sauce was excellent. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the portion size was just right. My dining partner had a simple egg and bacon breakfast. Their very dry toast was the only complaint of their breakfast. The cost of our meal was reasonable and the restaurant continued to fill as we ate. I'd go back to this unique setting, if I was in Manitowoc again. read more

The hotel I was at said they had breakfast. They did not. So I had to drive a million miles at 7 am, through 10 feet of snow, with balled tires, uphill, both ways, and I was thankful to find this place. My luck for finding breakfast was starting to suck crap through a straw, my luck in general is bad, if crap was worth something, I'd have been born without an ass, but this place made the hassle worth it!! Beautiful corner location in an old bank that retains the original features while looking wonderfully modern. Service on a Wednesday morning was prompt and friendly. Our breakfast items were all delicious - menu has a lot to choose from with a good balance of sweet and savory items. We all got solid portions and the price is right for the amount/quality of the food. OUr meals were all tasty and satisfying. First off. The place is very amazing. The Trompe-l'œil marbling and the old wooden bar and shelving all very interesting and then the disappointment of carpet squares on the floor reminiscent of a college flat from the 70's. I had taken a friend here for breakfast for his birthday as he was up visiting from Chicago. Well, he took one look at his flatware and said it doesn't looks like it has been washed! It was indeed unsanitary. Luckily as a diabetic he had some alcohol pads and was able to clean them. When the rather snarky waitress arrived he pointed out the filthy condition of the flatware and she just took them with no comment or apology. He then asked if she would be willing to eat off these and she shrugged. He asked her really and her reply was - we have had trouble with the dishwasher. Okay. So no apology just blame it on the dishwasher. Unacceptable. Then the food was mediocre at very best. The eggs Benedict were tepid and slathered over with something from a can or package than was thick and pasty just not tasty. And the coffee was a Folger's nightmare. So truculent service with very mediocre food with unsanitary flatware did not make for a happy meal in spite of the rather amazing setting. read more

Very inviting staff person greeted us 15 minutes after it opened at 7 am. This located about 8 blocks from Lake Michigan. Very good coffee. My boyfriend had the French toast combo with 4 slices of cinnamon swirl bread, sausage patty and two eggs. I tasted the French toast. Yum! They even have sugar free maple syrup. It just seemed way too busy with way too few waitresses which is normal everywhere now. My only complaint was seeing other show up to get a table and no one greeting them or even making eye contact and I saw numerous people leave.
