Great place to stop if you are waiting to catch the SS Badger ferry. The coffee was very good--huge cups! I had a medium, I cannot imagine the large. I had the five cheese sandwich on rye. It was very tasty. It came with apple pieces, carrots and celery--nice touch. The staff was friendly.

A very nice diner in downtown Manitowoc steps from Lake Michigan and the river. They are very nice and always had a nice coffee and or breakfast.

Good coffee, great selection. I had a egg, sausage, and cheese croissant while my husband had the ham, egg, and cheese croissant. The sandwiches came with apples slices which was a nice surprise. We honestly could've shared one sandwich with the portion size. Our 7 year old had a vanilla frappe-chino sans the caffeinated coffee. One thing I noticed was no employees wearing masks. While we wore masks hardly anyone inside did. It must be a local thing as we are from the Milwaukee area visiting and are just accustomed to wearing one entering establishments at this point. When I went inside after eating outside to return our plates I did see some other patrons wearing masks waiting inside. There were signs posted on tables stating whether they were sanitized or not as well as patrons socially distancing. Cute gift shop located across from the coffee shop is worth the stop too!

This family owned business in downtown Manitowoc has several flavors of coffee available "on tap", lattes and cappuccino in addition to a variety of tea. There is a reward program for a free drink after your 10th purchase. I was asked if I was participating in the rewards program, and all I had to do was give my phone number, no need to carry around a little punch card, how easy is that!

Just a quick update. There seems to be more variety these days. The gal who waited on us was really nice. The food is really good. I think they offer a breakfast buffet on Sunday mornings. The Bigelow tea is a thing of the past. The Earl grey they serve now is top of the line. Good WiFi and a place to loll. Cruise the web and kick back.

Love this place! All of the coffees have great flavor and aren't overwhelming with syrups. We always stop by on our way to Milwaukee!

Service is okay. Nice atmosphere. Prefer the old location more. It seems less Tea oriented and more food oriented.

There seem to be two halves to the restaurant with slightly different vibes on each. One more diner/coffee shop and one more bar. The diner side where you order also had a vast selection of muffins and other baked goods, some gluten free and vegan. We were surprised to see 9 different varieties of muffins! We ended up getting the jerk chicken wrap, the French toast, and the teriyaki wrap. The best part was the varieties of wraps you can choose from! It's great that they don't just have white. The jerk chicken had a nice kick to it and gave my friend the hiccups, but kept eating because it was so good. The French toast was in sticks form and pretty tasty, great presentation of lincoln log-esque. The teriyaki chicken had a nice sweetness, but not overpowering. It was gobbled up quickly. We also liked the toasted tortilla garnish with different seasonings on them. Just the right amount of side for a wrap. Overall, good food, friendly staff, and very reasonable price. We'll be back if we're in the area.

The Fat Seagull ended up being my choice because of interesting sounding items on the menu. The to go order consisted of a perch sandwich, a double cheeseburger, mozzarella sticks, and taco egg rolls. The mozzarella sticks are the same kind you can get from Arby's or the hot deli area of Walmart. Yes they are mozzarella sticks and can maybe satisfy a craving if needed, but they're not as good as Italian breaded for wonton wrapped mozzarella sticks. I'm not usually a big fan of charbroiled burgers and I could tell the meat was out of a frozen box of patties, but it was a solid tasting burger. It didn't come with a side, which for the price I assumed was the case ($7.50 as of 2/3/2025). That might be the most I would pay for it, but would consider getting it again. Like the burger, the perch sandwich did not come with a side, so $10 for a single butterfly of perch on a roll was close to my wallet's limit, but that was a tasty piece of fish. I don't find myself in Manitowoc often, but if I did I'd be intrigued by their double perch plate on Fridays given the quality of the the perch in this sandwich. The star of the meal was the taco egg rolls. The size of a typical veggie spring roll and in the same crispy wrapper, these egg rolls come in an order of three or six and I wish I had ordered six instead of three. The taco meat had an amazing kick to it and there was enough cheese inside to be noticeable yet not take away from the meat. I didn't end up using the sour cream or nacho cheese they provided because I wanted to savor the flavor of the egg roll itself, but I appreciate having both options to dip them in.

The mix is basically leftover chocolate shavings and makes for a delicious cup of hot chocolate. They also offer a ton of molded chocolates.
