This is definitely a take out restaurant, there is only one or maybe two tables to dine at. The restaurant decor is dated and cluttered but all the food we ordered was good. The staff was friendly and the prices reasonable. I will order again but the food to go. read more

We stopped in to order take out. The place is a little cluttered and undecorated. There were two tanks of fish. We ordered Sesame chicken and spring rolls as well as egg rolls. The food was good. Typical Thai take-out. The price is reasonable. It's a good place for a quick meal. read more

Recently tried this place again and they've cleaned up substantially, food tastes good and the presentation was great. Service was good as well. Will be coming back for sure. read more

Sadly, this great take-out place has not lived up to it's well-earned great reputation lately. The hot and sour soup, which used to be the greatest north of Chicago, has devolved into a cornstarch gelatinous goo, with few of the classic ingredients. It's really disappointing and I hope, temporary. Is there a change in chef? read more

The food is Always delicious!!When I call ahead and it is ready by the time I get there to pick up and still hot by the time I get home!

We always enjoy the food here, people are super friendly, and they're quick with the orders. I feel like they keep improving every time! Love the chili oil! read more

Wife and I enjoyed our lunch very much. Very good service and the food was excellent. Would highly recommend and I love Chinese food.

We normally are very satisfied with whatever we order. However, last night was a complete disappointment. We ordered Orange Chicken and instead of being nice and tender, the chicken was hard. It was not enjoyable at all. Then the cashew chicken came with rice in the container so we got only 1/2 an order. And the Sweet and Sour Pork had very little pork in it. The best part of the meal was the fortune cookies. When I called to find out what happened they only offered a 10% discount on my next order. This is not acceptable. Need to find a new Chinese restaurant. read more

First time trying lucky bamboo and I loved it! Nice big portions. I especially liked how the broccoli was cooked not hard or mushy it was just right. I will be back next time I'm craving Chinese. read more

Placed an order for delivery on 23 March. I explained to the order taker that all I had was a $50.00 bill, ( and five $1 bills for tip ) so could they please make sure the delivery driver had change. I was told this would be no problem. Over an hour after placing my order, I was called by the driver saying he went to the wrong address, and my food would be about another 15-20 minutes. OK. To be nice, I waited outside in the rain, so the delivery driver would not even have to get out of their vehicle. Thirty - eight minutes later the delivery driver arrived. He took the $50 and pocketed it. When I asked for change, he said he did not have any, and "I should just give a big tip". When I explained I was not going to give a $30 tip on a $24 order, he said he could " maybe do a 10". I again declined. He said " well, by the time I get go and get change, your shit will be cold, so I should just give him the change" I said to forget it, went in the house and called the restaurant, The young lady I spoke with seemed to not understand the problem, so I said to just cancel my order. She was clearly not happy, but said ok. About 12 minutes later I get a call from whom I think was the delivery driver, informing me that since I cancelled the order, I would not be permitted to order delivery from them again. Ever. OK. Not a problem. At this point you have lost a customer that usually ordered every couple weeks. I will certainly never do business with Lucky Bamboo , since they seem to want to rip off their customers. read more

We enjoy the food. The place looks a bit sketchy when you walk in. A lot of clutter laying around and the price is a bit high (But these days isn't everything costing more)? We like the jumbo shrimp with mushrooms. The orange chicken is pretty tasty as well. read more

Okay if you like raw dough. The sweet and sour was just a box full of half cooked balls of dough with a soupçon of tough flavorless meat inside the raw dough. No pineapple or onions or peppers which I am accustomed to getting with such a dish elsewhere. My mistake to order $30 worth of food from this place the first time out. It went from the bag to the table then directly into the garbage. Unfit and unsafe to even feed the dogs. Expensive lesson learned read more

Lucky Bamboo - Flavorless mysterious meat covered in only partially cooked dough. Disgusting! - Chinese Near Me - Manitowoc, Wisconsin

The food was amazing and tasted delicious. My favorite had to be the chicken with broccoli. The service was amazing. I would recommend this place for people who visit the area. read more

Some of the best Chinese in the area. If something isn't right, all you have to do is let them know and they will correct it no questions asked. read more

First time we tried this place, we must've gotten lucky. It was good, good enough to go back and have some decent Chinese food in this un-diverse town. However the next few times were disappointing. The pepper beef was so salty it was inedible. Last night's try was the last straw. Our moo shoo pork was burned. I called them to complain since it was a takeout order, but no compensation was made except come back and get another. Really? Drive back 20 min? Unfortunately, their fate may end up like 8th and York or habaneros. read more

Definitely a much needed change from your typical American restaurant in Manitowoc, and a lot better than Panda Express. I've even ordered in the middle of a snowstorm and they still deliver- which goes without saying that the owners are always friendly. Crab rangoons are a must-have and General Tso's chicken as well, not to mention the portions are decently sized. If you're looking for a good Chinese place in a town where there isn't much, Lucky Bamboo is a great option. read more

Stop overcharging your customers for delivery! The delivery driver is a crook! Spoke to owner and was told "delivery driver told us your address was at least 3 miles away" Funny how this site states I am 2.2 miles from 807 Buffalo St. I ordered at least 10 times before discovering this.Hope you are happy to lose a recurring customer because you employ a lying driver. Update: I was contacted with a low-ball offer to make this go away. I then simply asked for reimbursement of the amount I was over charged ... crickets. You would think they would want to make this right. read more

The service is always super nice and helpful. They have all the Chinese basics, and my favorite is the spring rolls. It's always fresh when I go-the only place in Manitowoc I will eat Chinese food. read more

What chinese restaurants does not have bean sprouts??? Dont order their chop suey if you enjoy having bean sprouts. They dont even carry them in their restaurant. Paid $10.00 for a bland order of shrimp chop suey. Gave the rest to my co-worker. I miss my chinese restaurants in California. :( read more

Did not like there orange chicken at all! It only tasted like lemon with every bite. The noodles were way over cooked, some of my friends said their food was okay. But over all shitty, I'll never ever be going back there in a million years and I will steer anyone i can away! read more

We hadn't been here for a while. Decided it give it another shot. The spring rolls were okay. The broccoli was cooked well, most places overcook vegetables, not here. The downfall was the "sweet and sour shrimp". Heavily battered, deep fried and served with a suspiciously red colored sauce. It was all edible; but nothing to write home about. read more

Well they talk about your food not agreeing with you..who ever heard of your food standing you up! We ordered food for delivery, they told us it would be about an hour and we waited and waited and the food never showed up!! I tried to call the place and no answer! What an incredible disappointment! My question is what if we had payed with a credit card would they have just ripped us off? So here I am left with no food, writing a review, hungry...I do not care for this at all! I have heard good things since the recent management change however I would have no idea what the food tastes like because it just never came! Unbelievable! read more

I order food here often. Best Chinese food in this city. These others don't know what they are talking about. It's clean, they are friendly, and the portions are fair. Order here, it's worth it read more

I don't understand the bad reviews on this place.... I've never had a bad experience and we order from here often! The food is always good and hot and delivery wait times are standard. It's not as good as the place in Two Rivers but pretty close!! read more

I like this place. It's not fancy, but the food is good, the prices reasonable, and it's always been ready on time. I recommend the Black Pepper Chicken! On Thursdays you can get pho-- you have to ask for it, I don't think it's on the menu. Get a copy of their paper to-go menu for some coupons. read more

Foods good, delivery takes forever though in my experiences. Like an hour and a half , almost 2 hours sometimes.

Unbelievably poor customer service to the point that I can't even comment objectively about the food. Ordered for carryout. Picked up the order only to discover after arriving back at home the order was missing one of the entrees. Naturally, I called to 'politely' make them aware of the situation & request they deliver the entree they overlooked to my address - less than 2 miles away. I was informed they would not/could not extend me that courtesy as 'it wasn't policy' & could either come back or they could credit my cc. I guess it's not their policy to acknowledge they made a mistake and work to correct it! How ironic; they advertise Free Delivery yet were unwilling to deliver a $12 entree they failed to include in my original $35 order I , so inconveniently picked up...........Unreal!!! read more

After struggling to even place an order my food arrived. Using the term "my food" very lightly here since the food that arrived didn't contain a single thing I ordered. I called back to ask where the food I paid $40 for was to deal with the rudest person imaginable. Refusing to correct their mistake and insisting she took my order so knows it's right, demanding I return the food they just delivered, then finally saying they will come back to get it as long as we haven't touched it made the experience even more worth my $40. Touched it?! I'm assuming that food is going to the next innocent victim to order but who knows since it's been 45 minutes and I'm still sitting with food I didn't order starving on new years Eve. After the first awful experience I thought I'd give it one more chance but the first impression was right. read more

It has been 3 1/2 years since we've gambled on this restaurant. Once again, sorely disappointed. The food has historically been so so, but really we have no alternatives other than a chain. I picked up our order, got it home and the moo shu pancakes were MOLDY! I called (as a courtesy-not really expecting much) to let them know and got a big fat "OK, thanks". Not like it's super cheap either! So sad. read more

I got a staple in my food ...lol they didn't care offered to make me another order, I said no way won't come back EVER.

Avoid this place, the service and food quality is simply awful. Too bad, when this place reopened as Lucky Bamboo it became a fairly decent place to order Chinese food. However, like all things Manitowoc, it slowly became crappy. Like I sad before, too bad. read more

Service was great food was even better. I don't understand all the bad reviews. If it was a one time experience, give them another try.

Needless to say,I have went there a few times for pick up. I had Decided to go there yesterday. unfortunately I won't be going back. I went inside to pick up my order the man that took my money after words didn't wash his hands while handling the food, that's not the worst of it.he was blowing his nose, rubbing his nose and putting his snotty Kleenex on the table where the the food was being prepared for the orders to go. Really,How disgusting read more

Lucky Bamboo is our weekly staple. The food is fresh, consistent and healthy. We love the fact we can order most items with a lighter sauce and enjoy the taste of the vegetables and meat. One meal lasts a few days and we have never been disappointed. There are not many choices in Manitowoc for a quick take out, but this is one of them. We couldn't be happier. read more

My husband, daughter and I love this Chinese restaurant. We eat in and take out often. They remember us when we come in. They are consistent on flavors. My husband usually orders the Garlic Chicken and has no disappointment. Flavor is spot on. My daughter orders the Sweet Sour Chicken and loves it. She is a picky eater. I order the Pho. It is delicious and the depth of flavors are wonderful. This does come with jalapenos and beans sprouts on the side. I also the steamed chicken and mixed vegetables. I don't use their sauce but it is delicious. Their vegetables are always fresh. When we go into this restaurant, they are busy non stop. Make every effort for eat in or take out to make sure everyone is satisfied. Like I said they are very busy for a small work staff and quality is their priority. read more
