the best wonton soup ever. A+ I love the shrimp chop suey. egg rolls are good, but a little too greasy. friendly service. could be a bit cleaner. the buffet is standard nothing to rave about. décor is bad, ripped booths. buffet food I think is a C- read more

Buffet half empty.food warm not hot.not a clean place..too high priced for half full buffet.used to go there alot..not anymore

The food is great, but are we eating people? If you look at their address on Whitepages, there are a ton of dead Chinese people. No wonder I use the bathroom within the half hour I ate Fried dumplings! read more

I would rather eat dog food. the service was terrible it costed $73 for FIVE people. It also smelled disgusting.

The service is OK. The food is good. Just needs to not be out all day or at least replace. Sometimes the rice is hard. Other than that. The food is great. The place is clean and the services OK in some ways depends on who you have sometimes they don't speak English the bathroom are clean. read more

If you're craving Chinese food I guess it's your only okay-ish option in FDL. Their coconut shrimp is good when freshly made. The owner here tries to stretch the food to last as long as possible. I've seen the guy come out with some type of liquid and rehydrates the food every so often. Demolishes the taste not good. If you do eat here tip the Mexican lady looks like she in her late 20s, you'll see her walking grabbing your plates and cleaning the food surface areas. read more

The food was great and the staff was super friendly and welcoming. The only thing was that the atmosphere was a little bit lacking but the food over all surprised me with how good it was. Would recommend read more

Closed for covid for quite a while. When they reopened it was the same ok food but it now costs $13.99 for lunch. Not worth it.

My first time in this Chinese restaurant. Good surprise the food was fresh and the flavor very good. The Saturday I eat hey have dumplings, steamed and fried shrimp. Great sweet and sour chicken. I had hot tea, it was a Chinese bag tea. For dessert ice cream, sweet bananas, cookies. read more

Chinatown Kitchen - Buffet - Chinese Near Me - Fond du Lac, Wisconsin

It's dirty but the takeout is awesome. My go to for some good fried rice. Food is prepared in a timely manner aswell.

Y'all need pictures of every damn food in your menu "Fried noodles" you mean fried fritos with out the damn flavor. In conclusion I didn't eat any of the food I ordered and since I can't get a refund here's this review read more

Food is always great staff is friendly and welcoming. It is definitely my favorite place to go when I order Chinese food. Highly recommend the crab Rangoons read more

How the buffet was rated 3 stars is beyond me. In a word, it was gross. The food was aged and not fresh. It was obvious that much of it had been sitting in the steam table too long. And the items on the steam table were lukewarm at best. From the checkout counter you can see the kitchen, disorganized and unkempt. There was no one even making any fresh food. The final straw was the bill. We had water for drinks. The bill came to $20.00 for two buffet meals. A typical price but too much to pay for the privilege of eat stale cold food. Guess that's what you settle for as they are the only gig in town if you want Chinese buffet. read more

This has always been our go to place. Never Wanted to eat in because it is frankly a dump inside but the food is amazing. Was amazing. Our last order changed All that. I was sure something radically different must have happened in order for the quality to had gotten so downhill that several dishes never made it past the first serving and went straight down the garbage disposal instead. Hot and sour soup had nothing of any Hot or sour. It tasted like warm, salty soy sauce and chicken broth. The salt content was off the charts. There rice wasn't cooked all the way thru. It tasted like tiny hard plastic pellets. The sizes of the shrimp in shrimp almond ding shrunk significantly. As far as everything else you're wasting your time if you want Chinese vegetables or anything nice because you're going to be getting a whole lot of white onion and celery. You will be finding some peapods and water chestnuts and of course the broccoli but whoever is in the kitchen forgot what a stir fry is. It's a quick flash fry of heat so they stay crunchy. All the veggies are mushy wet as of pre bolied for soup. Apparently someone is still so lazy over there that they think whenever ordering egg fu youg w/shrimp or house special egg Fu young it means cooking the eggs and throwing the other ingredients in the box on top of the patties instead of the other way around. That is astonishing lazy. Whoever is cooking in that kitchen is not the same people that used to be there. There's too many discrepancies. No comparison. They better do something else or they will be out of luck soon. Like I said My soup and most of anything else left after the initial bites went straight into the garbage. What a waste of money and food. Unless they have a owner turnover and get new experienced kitchen cooks this family won't be back. We were monthly visitor's and always had a 100 dollar order for them. Now that 100 dollars is going to king's chef. read more

What's a guy from the North Shore of Oahu doing in Fon Du Lac, Wisconsin? Fon Du - Where? (Sigh...) Months after this trip, I'm still asking myself that question. Just my luck, I had to go there, with some coworkers, for my job. Every morning after that trip, I kept waking up in a state of panic, "it's okay, you're home now." Fortunately, aside from the farms, cows, grain silos, cows... (you get the picture), there was one thing good that came from this trip. As you can imagine, being in Wisconsin for more than a couple of days, I had a severe case of "rice deficiency." It must be karma, because Chinatown Kitchen is located directly across the street from the hotel. There are only a handful of places I can think of, that have really good tasting authentic Chinese food, and this place definitely ranks up there with the best. We didn't do the buffet that's advertised on their sign, rather we decided to order take-out. We took the advice from a hotel worker that the buffet is not that great. The take out dishes are made up fast, hot and fresh. The vegetables in the dishes are fresh, tasty and the meat-to-veggie ratio is better than most places. Honestly, I was content to have steamed hot white rice, "grains of white fluffy love." The food is really good, they don't use msg and the guy at the counter is super friendly. He was really helpful when trying to decide what to get. The first time we ate there, we didn't order ahead, but the food, still, was cooked up fast. On the down side, the dining area in the restaurant could have been a little more pleasing, it was clean, but definitely could be decorated a little more like a Chinese restaurant, and the techno music, seriously? Overall, I gave this place 5 stars based on the really good food and excellent customer service, not so much for dining in the restaurant. Wow! Who would have thought, great Chinese food in Fon Du Lac, WI. read more

We are new in town and don't know where to order from. So we have it a try. It was fabulous. The hot and sour soup was amazing. And the lo main delicious. It was a pleasant surprise. So happy to have a place to deliver on cold snowy nights. Great experience! read more

Looking for cheap and fast take out, this is the place to call. As for eat-in, the place is dated and has a dirty feel to it. The food quality has gone downhill. Atmosphere, food, and building maintenance are definitely in need of TLC. read more

Had the buffet. Nothing to rave about, but it was a solid Chinese Food choice in the Fond du Lac area if you're looking for some of the aforementioned food. They also have the option of serving up a meal instead of the buffet. Have yet to try that but it looks pretty good. I have been back twice and have incorporated it into my list of restaurants. read more

This place is pretty bad. The food is below average even in comparison to other cheap chinese buffets I've been to. Everything was edible but pretty bland and luke warm. We were seated at a booth covered in duct tape. The bathroom was very gross too. read more

They delivered and it was delicious. Seen some bad reviews but went with it anyways don't regret it

Used to be my favorite place for Chinese in FdL. Then my kids and I got food poisoning after eating there. It has gotten filthy there over the years. Avoid! read more

been coming here for 15 years plus. The food can be a hit and miss inside . It depends on who is working. All you need to do is ask for fresh food if u feel it's been sitting out too long.. By all means don't eat it ask for something new. They're more than happy to replace it.. As for the waitresses you'll never go thirsty. They ask a lot for refills on your drinks and almost always with a smile. You really can't ask for more (friendly service). As for the building the building it's self is old. If you're not eating off the floor or walls you'll be fine lol. As for the bathroom you can go to the gas station or fat Joe's. It's something even I would avoid. So if your stomach can handle Chinese overall you'll be fine. You're only going here to eat. The food is good . And sit in the front not the booths. The duck tape has been there as far as I can remember. But it really isn't a problem if you sit in the front. 1 * off yes I would like to see a facelift for sure.. read more

Servers were very rude to me and food was awful. You expect it to not be great for the price but I couldn't even eat more than a few bites.

Not a huge fan of this place but when it comes to Chinese food there aren't a lot of options in Fond du Lac nowadays. The place is better for carry out than for their buffet. The dining room really needs a deep cleaning, and a facelift and the food on the buffet is pretty sub par. Take out is better but make sure to double check your order to make sure it is right. read more

First off let me say we ordered out... I don't often eat in at Chinese places because I'm usually seeking out Chinese food so I can eat my feelings and I want to be at home for that. That said the inside is like most Chinese places. Not great, but who cares-you're ordering out! The food was good and portions were fair but could be better. My chief complaint is their dumplings are definitely machine made, not made in-house. Kind of a disappointment. read more

sticky floors, bathroom I cant used because its filthy, I ate there today watching staff in kitchen coughing with out covering their mouths, entry way full of clutter and family food plates used laying around and stains on everything. walked to the counter and like 10 flies took off in different directions the management dint care when I brought the hacking and coughing in the kitchen to their attention...,are they spitting on food, because I herd spitting and working up flem. she told me to call b.b.b. on them, they dint care to hear it and blamed it on other restaurant costumers when I am sitting next to the door. food is fair service is too but the background coughing and spitting is terrible not enough to mention I will stop for a penicillin shot on my way home tonight read more

They deliver SOMETIMES. What a hopeless business. They will probably be shut down by the time you order. Go somewhere else

Love this place. Buffet is decent, but fresh made orders are the best! Staff is great too. Highly recommended.

Out of all the asian eateries in Fond du Lac, this one is the best. The food is hot, fresh and delicious. My family and I have been ordering and eating from this restaurant for several years and have never had a complaint. read more

Disgusting. Food is okay if you can not look around and notice the cobwebs and stains on the wall. Every seat had duct tape on it

Tight/small buffet,Mediocre food,a bit dingy and old,i felt rushed and the prices were ok.

The decor, tables, and chairs could use an upgrade. The food was good, service was good and the price was good; dinner for 2 $19 and left $3 tip. Wouldn't go out of my way to eat here but if I were in the area and in the mood for Chinese, I'd stop in again. read more

They are the only buffet in Fond du lac and they are not that good for a sit in buffet. The place is not kept really clean. They are good for take out, but that's about it. read more

So so gross. Constantly out of food. Consistantly disgusting food. Everything is dirty. Even the bathroom was dirty with boxes stacked everywhere. The booths are uncomfortable with holes and duct tape. Also the springs in the seats are shot, i shouldnt have to move around the seat to find a spot where i dont sink down. Yet there is always people there, it really makes me questions their judgement. read more

Buffet is terrible even the fortune cookies are flavorless. Do yourself a favor and do not visit this restaurant.

Good food, fast service and huge portions. The only Chinese food restaurant I go to in Fond du Lac.

Food sits out too long and stale. I tried to order a lunch special, which is a smaller size portion but they wouldnt make it as it was 10 minutes past lunch. Could only make the large size. Won't ever go back again read more

Never again! The place was filthy. Kitchen staff cross-contaminated in the buffet area. all the food was greasy & not hot. We arrived at 6pm. The only thing edible was the egg drop soup. No crackers, used chow mein noodles for it. Waitress seemed nice but could not communicate well. Are they legal? Anyway, within 1/2 hr I was throwing up in their dirty bathroom. read more

Angry at the deceptive way I was charged for 2 lunch buffets. The posted hours for lunch buffet prices are until 3:30 pm........we arrived at 3:23 as recorded on our receipt. We were charged for the dinner buffet price. When I asked the cashier about that she said something about '' we raise the price at 3:20 when it's not busy " WTF ! This will be the LAST time we will visit this restaurant. We don't have many choices in FDL but I find this to be shady business practice, and from the looks of the place and the decline in quality of food served I probably won't miss it. read more
