Stopped in around 5:45 on a Sunday evening. We decided to eat in rather than carry out since most Chinese food is best when served fresh. This was definitely the case. The restaurant is quite small with only 6 tables for those that decide to dine in. The entire time we were there they did a very brisk takeout business. At times the line was 6 deep with people waiting to order or pick up their called-in order. The amount of business they were doing was a good sign that the food was good. I ordered General Tso's Chicken combination dinner. The combination dinners include an chicken egg roll and chicken fried rice. I asked for my dish to be extra spicy and they happily made the adjustment. My wife ordered Szechuan Chicken as a combination dinner. The egg roll was hot and crunchy with excellent seasoning in the filling. Both dinners arrived within about 15 minutes and the small wait was definitely worth it. The General Tso's Chicken was sweet with a nice hot punch, just the right amount for me. The breading was still nice and crunchy under the sauce - a big advantage to eating there, rather than take out. The Szechuan Chicken chicken had great Szechuan pepper flavor in a traditional Szechuan brown sauce. The chicken fried rice was delightful. Well seasoned and generous amounts of steamed chicken throughout. The place is small and in a strip mall, but the food was excellent and well prepared. I've carried out some good meals from here ordered from their very expansive menu. However, I very much recommend eating at one of the tables to experience how great it can be when it is fresh and hot. The atmosphere is typical small strip mall.

Good food, always hot when we pick it up. Able to adjust spice levels up and down. No MSG. Our family's only choice for Chinese food!

Good Chinese food. I have tried a few places here in Fond Du Lac when I travel here and this one is the best in town. (IMHO) JB

Staff couldn't be more personable and warm. The resturant is always busy, but never feels loud of crowded to me. We always choose to sit in the dining room, but love to enjoy the full bar. We love the rolls with the different types of homemade butter too!

They have so many good things. I ended up getting the shrimp dinner. The shrimp can either be grilled, sautéed or fried. They arrived sautéed and melted butter with a couple lemon slices. Also, you had the option of super salad. I got the creamy potato soup. Excellent! For the side, I thought I would try the deli salad. I was told it was like a macaroni salad. It was a decent scoop of macaroni salad with peas 1 inch pieces of cheese and also pieces of ham. Very good my waitress was friendly and on the ball. Some of the booths seem kind of dark to me. I requested a table by the window and it was perfect. I definitely would come back here again and try something else.

A few things to note, their cocktail menu is amusing because their specialty drinks mostly seem to be five different standard recipes with slightly different preparations to turn them into Mojitos or spritzes or margaritas. Do you want something with blueberries? Pick your preparation. All of them are too sweet. Their peanut butter crème brûlée was tasty, but doesn't really qualify as a crème brûlée. It was basically a runny, peanut butter flavored almost pudding. Their pizzas were really good though. Frankly, I was most surprised by the ambience. For a place that looks so big from the outside. It seemed really cramped inside I walked around all of the seating areas and it was the same everywhere. While they bill themselves as being on the water, you really can't see the water from any seat in the house from what I observed, even if you're out on the deck, which is terribly uncomfortable in July. We actually were seated at possibly the worst table in the house. In a back corner behind the first floor bar next to a window that only showed you the backside of another building and a sliver of grass. The upstairs seating is truly undesirable because they've converted an area that wasn't meant to have tables in. It is super cramped up there and also everywhere on the first floor. The only place with a little bit of elbow room is the deck. You know a place is to cramped when the servers have to negotiate moving between tables to avoid patrons and other servers.

The waterfront location is definitely the biggest draw here. Sitting outside overlooking the harbor…read moremakes for a really nice setting, especially during the summer. Unfortunately, the food just didn't live up to the view. We tried the nachos, mahi tacos and drinks, and while everything was fine, nothing really stood out. The flavors were what you'd expect from a lakeside bar. Service was very friendly, but overall the experience felt more like you're paying for the location than the food itself. I'd come back for a drink on the patio, but probably not for dinner.

Each order is packed in a big plastic bag (yah, I know). In addition to the seafood, the meal also include corn, potatoes and other items of your choice. We had a lunch special with the Thai Chili seasoning. Quite spicy but very flavorful. A bowl of rice came with the meal to soak up all the sauce. I've had the combination pho on both visits. The broth is flavorful and the ingredients (brisket, tripe and meatballs) are plentiful. If you finish the bowl you'll have to be rolled in Violet fashion to the nearest juicer. On my last visit, I added an order of spring rolls. They were great. Service on both visits has been great. Prices are slightly higher than average but not out-of-line for the portion sizes. As for ambiance, it is industrial in finish, but I come for the food, not the decor. I'll definitely keep this in my rotation of Asian style restaurants in Appleton!

The wait staff was attentive and polite, and I never had an empty water glass (my standard service test). The atmosphere is 1970s, and it's tired, tacky, and kind of dark. It seriously needs to be updated, unless you like that sort of thing. Then again, I sort of do. There are two other negatives: the prices they charge and the rules they enforce. It seems like there's a "Don't do this" or a "We won't do that" everywhere. Why would any business, especially a restaurant, put so many negatives in front of its customers? I just wanted to make a substitution on my plate, and the menu said right at the top that it wasn't allowed. Really? I probably would have spent more money on a different entrée, but the message put me off. As for the prices, this place is very expensive for what you get. There's no way their 8 oz filet mignon with a baked potato should cost $50. It's not that good. The best steak restaurant in Appleton is at least $10 less. They seem to know it, too, since they try to convince you that you're getting a good value and a better price per ounce. Again, really? I'd definitely say check it out if you've never been. Will I go back? Probably. I'm sure I'll be back at some point, most likely when someone I'm with wants to go there again. Enjoy!

Our server was attentive. I ordered the blackened salmon sandwich; one friend ordered the grouper cheeks tacos, and another friend ordered the lobster bisque soup and cajun barbecue shrimp. Overall it was a tasty and filling sandwich; you can see the portion size from the photo. I ordered the fries as the side option - nothing to write home about those, but they were slightly crispy. My friend enjoyed her grouper cheek tacos but did not care at all for her fries, which were soft and soggier than mine and she ended up leaving them uneaten on her plate. Grouper cheeks (we asked about them) are the actual cheek portion of the grouper fish, which apparently is a large fish. My other friend enjoyed her lobster bisque and the shrimp appetizer. I dipped one french fry in the shrimp sauce and it was yummy. I'd return to try that appetizer. We had a lovely lunch and overall enjoyed the food.
