As soon as we…read morewalked into this small restaurant, I knew I had been there before when it was something else! It is, as I already mentioned - small (about a half dozen tables for two). I'm guessing it is good (better) for takeout but we arrived just after 1:30 on a Thursday and had no problem getting a table. It is light, bright, and cheery inside. The two young women working behind the counter were very pleasant and patiently explained the options to us and all the customers who came in after us. There are about a half dozen "suggested" bowls but you can create your own or make changes to the ones in the menu. I ordered the Berbere Spiced Sweet Potato with almost all the colors of the rainbow represented - spiced sweet potatoes, radishes, carrots, Brussel sprouts, broccoli, dried cranberries, and green apples (I think I remembered everything). There is an option for an upcharge to add a protein but the vegetarian option was uncooked tofu and I only eat tofu that is well-seasoned and cooked so I passed. Hubby had the Lemon Herb Rotisserie bowl which he liked. Both were very filling and we couldn't finish them. Drinks range from Diet Coke to cold pressed juices. Great option for downtown Green Bay. Four stars because the (one) vegetarian protein option was not to my liking.

Super friendly staff. I ended up ordering the tacheen, my only other experience eating this was when a friend cooked it for me so I was interested to try it in a restaurant. The rice was nice and crispy, well seasoned, and also they added barberries which was a nice touch. Chicken was great as well. Totally recommend this place!

A Hidden Gem in Wisconsin!…read more It's rare to find Persian food in Wisconsin, and Sofreh absolutely delivers. I ordered the chicken kabob plate, chickpea salad, and beef koobideh and I'm still dreaming about it. The joojeh kabob was the star: unbelievably tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. I honestly haven't had chicken that fresh and succulent in a long time. Every bite felt like comfort and celebration all at once. The chickpea salad was light, bright, and refreshing; a perfect complement to the grilled meats. And the beef koobideh? Perfectly spiced, rich, and melt-in-your-mouth good. My heart was so happy and my tummy so full -- exactly what you want from a great meal. Whether you're familiar with Persian cuisine or brand new to it, Sofreh is worth the visit. Warm flavors, generous portions, and a rare find in this part of the country. Service was impeccable. Can't wait to go back!

They have a dog Benny who hangs out and my wife and I are dog people and had our dog Sauce hanging with us while we had an amazing lunch! Everything was super fresh and the bread the caprese sandwich was served on came from a local bakery which is also a must stop called Renards European Bakeshoo. Had the lavender lemonade, which I also recommend. Can't wait to be back in Princeton as it's a hidden Gem and go back to Horseradish!

Horseradish was bustling at 12:30pm on a Saturday, but wasn't too overly packed when we came in. We were able to find a table for 4 and get our orders in quickly. That being said, it took over an hour of listening to terribly overstimulating music with bad vibes to actually get our food. Our kids were hangry, as were the children at a few other tables as well. I ordered the Vegan Witch (I LOVE kimchi) and my daughter ordered the Gus Special No. 1. We also all ordered various sodas/Olipops. The prices for the sodas were absurd, and the side salad that I ordered with my vegan witch was flavorless. I was kind of shocked at the kids' menu options and expected better ... my daughter of course ate it, as she's 4, and who doesn't love cheese on tortilla chips, but what an odd lunch option. I would have preferred more kid friendly veggie options for the side veggies, as radishes are a bit strange to plate for a child ... my sandwich was good, but just seemed to be lacking something. Staff were incredibly nice, but with how slow service was, I would not recommend going when you're actually hungry. I also don't recommend for kids. It was a fun experience and a nice find for in the middle of nowhere, but I guess I was just hoping for a bit more ... The bathrooms are nice, and my daughter and I loved the banana and lipstick lights on the bathroom walls that were also for sale. Cute place, slow service. I'll probably never be in Green Lake, Wisconsin again, so I can't say whether I'd return or not.

First glance at the menu, I admit I was a little unsure. Lots of unique offerings, with the Grain Bowls, Plates, Greens & Grains being made with black rice or quinoa. The latter of which I am not a fan. Still, on my first visit, I decided to try the Thai Bowl. I ended up really enjoying the black rice. The roasted veggies were tender, and the thai basil pesto had a bit of spice to it, which paired wonderfully with the subtle sweetness of the curry. The portion size was perfect, satisfying me but not leaving me full. I also tried the Ginger Tepache, which was extremely refreshing and delicious. A wonderful alternative to Kombucha if that's not exactly your thing. The restaurant is bright and airy with bar, high top and table seating. I had to wait a couple minutes before someone took my order, but once that was taken my food was ready very quickly.

Recently ordered delivery from this location, and while the delivery arrival was 40 min late (to the fault of UberEats, not Forage), it was worth the wait. Honestly so damn good, so damn statiating. Oh got their kombucha too which is a nice drink to pair. I'll be back :)
