Was looking for some interesting food in the green bay area and ended up here. Lovely interior, kind of cafe like, in a quaint old building. Big windows with lots of natural light. Super friendly staff. I ended up ordering the tacheen, my only other experience eating this was when a friend cooked it for me so I was interested to try it in a restaurant. The rice was nice and crispy, well seasoned, and also they added barberries which was a nice touch. Chicken was great as well. Totally recommend this place! read more

We are here in town briefly to establish disability arts infrastructure for the state of Wisconsin but missed the fine Persian food we love to eat where live in Chicago. We found Sofreh Eatery on Yelp and literally we jumped in the car and drove there right away. We had a great meal. The staff at Sofreh were really wonderful, really warm, and thoughtful. We made a comment, "we are in cherry country but...where is the cherry rice??" And in a minute it appeared even though it wasn't on the menu. It was really special. We had the dessert, which was like perfume, soooo many complex flavors; we love desserts like this. I was hoping very much to say hello to the owner and also wish him and his family safety, with all that is going on in Iran. The Joojeh kabob had amazing flavor, paired well with the rice and the creamy cucumber dip was perfection. The spicy tuna wrap had the perfect amount of spice to make it enjoyable while spicy! My wife and I loved this place. FOOD: I had the spicy tuna wrap with salad and a side of rice. I also had a pear / green tea latte. Everything was freshly made and tasted so good. My wife loved her food also. SERVICE: Everyone was friendly and welcoming. They checked in just the right amount to make sure we were enjoying everything. This is a hidden gem we found. The chicken kabob plate was really good. The chicken was moist not dry. My husband had the spicy tuna wrap. He really enjoyed it. We'd both order the same thing again. For dessert, the date ball with dark chocolate was a way to finish. The staff, and I think the gentleman was the owner, was very friendly and attentive. Was excited to try this place, hoping to love it... but I don't. To me, not authentic Persian foods I'm accustomed to, despite being Persian-owned. Chicken joojeh was delicious and super tender. Owners are very nice. But I wanted authentic Persian dishes, which I didn't find. Taste of everything else seemed off. Cucumber yogurt included dill (and way too much) instead of mint. Pita bread, and even the rice, tasted sweet; they shouldn't. And the rose water lemonade was much too sweet; couldn't drink it, threw it out. Toppers-very pricy, small portions.. and you're expected to clean your own table. Unfortunately, won't be back. read more

Came here for a short lunch break while staying about a block away at the Kress Inn. It was perfect for when you're tight on time! The staff was super friendly and helpful. The food was absolutely delicious! Portions and prices were great. The ambience was relaxing; loved the music they were playing, helped me destress from work. And it was probably the healthiest food we were able to find within walking distance! My husband and I shared the combo plate and the strawberry balsamic salad. I got a house latte... so good! I love cardamom in coffee! And my husband got a mango smoothie. The chicken on the combo plate was perfectly cooked and juicy! The beef was good too, but I think the chicken was my favorite. Loved the Tzatziki sauce on both! Everything was delicious. We cleaned our plates. I'd order all of it again! If you need a break from fried cheese logs/balls, this is an excellent choice! read more

That beef kebab plate was quite a surprise. I was hoping it was going to be decent but it knocked my socks off. Hope the word gets out. This spot for a restaurant is cursed.
