My friend is a fan of this place so she brought me while I was visiting. It was great! I got the lamb makhani and it was delicious. My friend got the chicken makhani which is her go to. Service was great and quick, our server was very friendly. Reasonably priced and the portions are generous so we had leftovers.

Came here for the first time years ago, was my first time trying Indian food and I was floored by the flavor and taste of everything I tried (came with a regular who ordered a variety for us). Problem was I live in Milwaukee so I spent the next couple years trying to find a comparably good Indian restaurant in Milwaukee and nothing came close. So I returned this week while visiting family in the area and was just as good as I remembered. My favorite was the Tikka Masala, will get that every time. We also tried the palak paneer, chicken curry, chicken makhani and a variety of naan; everything was excellent! Best Indian food I've ever had anywhere, must visit when in the area!

An absolute treasure in my household. My mom forced my incredibly picky father to try Sai Ram, and now Indian food is something we go out of our way to look for when in new cities. Some of the best comfort food

The exterior doesn't do justice to a very fine interior. The lunch specials are hard to beat from a quantity and pricing perspective, and they also provide a very good version of the Mango Lassi. The Chicken Makhani was very good and what was recommended by staff. The Korma was a nice contrast, but just average overall. It was a lot of food for a small cost during the lunch hour. To top it all off, service was attentive and timely. If you're in the mood for some Indian while in Appleton, then this is well worth a visit!

One of my favorite Indian restaurants in the area, if not my favorite. A must if you are seeking amazing flavor and wonderful service, this is a must stop! My husband choose the lamb biryani. He asked for it to be very spicy but it came out perfectly spiced. It wasn't too hot to handle. The heat creeped up at the end. It balanced well with the Basmati rice. I choose the Tandoori chicken and it was delicious. They marinated the chicken pieces in yogurt so it came out with a soft bite. It was so delicious. Oh, the flavors! I wished I had ordered more food. The gentleman in the front was kind and patient. He allowed us to go through the menu and offered answers to our questions. It probably took 15 minutes to get our order. Not too long but I would order ahead of time because their website looked user-friendly. Don't let the outside appearance fool you. It's nestled in a strip mall but inside, it's well decor and looks spacious. We were doing a day trip to Appleton so we opted the order to go route.

Every meal we've had here or to go is yummy and filling! We get on a roll where we come here or order almost once a week. My man always has chicken masala and I do the paneer. This time we tried the chicken biryani and it was so flavorful. Too much food for a meal - lasts all week!

The past two times I've visited my mother in Appleton, we've gone to Sai Ram for lunch. It's really quite delicious. The place itself is clean and open. Nothing super noteworthy but it's nice-looking and inviting. The staff was overall very friendly. Though the service was a little slow both times, my family and I weren't in a major hurry so it wasn't a big deal. As it turns out, without quite realizing it, I ordered the exact same thing both times. There's a great lunch menu with 8-9 options, and you can pick 2...so it's nice for getting a little variety without committing to a whole plate of something. The portions are reasonable for lunch. The lentil soup and garlic naan are really good. The Chicken Makhani is out of this world. I highly recommend going with it. It's creamy and flavorful and the chicken is perfectly tender. I also got the Chana Masala, which was quite good too. My brother got the Beef Vindaloo and raved about it. Capped it off with a Madras Coffee and was really pleased. If you're in the area and looking for some good Indian food, you cannot go wrong with Sai Ram.

Excellent food and service! Family owned authentic Indian food. We will definitely come back here next time we are in Appleton.

Mark loved the garlic naan... I second that.

We've lived in Chicago before moving here and loved Chicago food, especially the Little India neighborhood there; that being said, this place is phenomenal and bar far the best Indian restaurant we've had in the greater Milwaukee area. Never have we had a bad meal. Have tried most things on the menu- while it seems more North Indian (less spice used than in South India), it makes up for it with the Nepal menu options. The fried chili momos and steamed chicken momos (Nepali flavor and sauce yum), and the Tandoori Chicken are always well-made and seasoned. The Chai is phenomenal. This location, compared to downtown, is less 'dress-upped', but in our experience, the less dressed-up an Asian restaurant is, the better the food is going to be. Cute decor includes elephants, flowers, and types of bamboo steamers and such, making it very cute and homey. The service is always great, both the Nepali gentleman and the other Indian gentlemen servers are friendly and helpful. The only few 'negatives' we have had- service can take a bit, but it's completely worth it for the quality that comes out of the kitchen. Some small things- like the tandoori chicken not having sliced ginger or the chai being a little on the tamer side of spice- are to be expected with inflation and whatnot for the food industry. In the end, food is amazing, service is top-notch, and what we feel is the best reason to go there is the sense of home and comfort we get from the food and staff. Worth the drive, worth the try. Thanks to the owners and everyone at The Spices for making an international couple feel at home!

Really good food, ambiance needs some work. Service could be better, but overall it's good as well…read more Would love to see them lean in more into beverages from India, Nepal, Bangladesh. But it's probably the best option in the Sheboygan area.
