Don't know what kind of meat they used, looked like a some kinda meat patty that wasn't steak. The gravy should have been a milk gravy but tasted sour. Yucky. Couldn't eat it. The grilled cornbread and hash browns were good but, pretty greasy. So disappointed especially for the price of $17.99. Yikes! Won't be coming back. read more

While Anna Miller's have been a long time restaurant on Oahu, I can't believe how many haven't even tried it. The wait line may look long but it's not. No reservations just first come first serve. I was so happy to bring one of my friends and my youngest son for the first time after doing some swap meet shopping (her first time). It was her post bday brunch which means we had dessert first. With so many pie options, I had her choose. So it was the lemon meringue which we all shared a slice- it was a tad sweet, a tad tart and melted in our mouths. Our server (I forgot her name) was so attentive, quick to serve and so helpful. She took our drink orders and was spot on with our tea and even filled our pots frequently. We then proceeded with our main course orders which included a customized omelet, big breakfast (full with eggs and all breakfast meats and of course the loco moco! OMGeee! Everything was spot on! My loco moco was big enough for two meals (saved 1/2 of it) and the gravy was amazing. The omelet was fresh and my son loved his meal so much that he polished it off which he normally doesn't eat much. Let's just say we were super happy and kanak attack set in that we couldn't possibly do any more shopping! We will definitely make the drive out here in Aiea again soon since I live on the east side! Stopped by for a quick lunch on a weekday and man this place was packed! It gotta be a local's favorite! They offer simple diner foods: breakfast items, burgers, sandwiches, etc. nothing fancy just decent portion of hearty foods at a reasonable price to fuel your day. Food was ok not exceptional. I finally got to return after this place was closed during covid. It was really nice to go and finally have my cup of hot chocolate that I enjoy here. The menu changed a bit but most of the popular dishes are there. Food tastes the same and the service was great. Of course, the hours changed. The inside still looked the same. Due to COVID, they are not allowing dine in service or take outs. They are only selling pies. Their hours may be adjusted too, but I'm not sure. Before COVID, we used to go here for the breakfast and try to go during non-peak time so that we didn't have to wait for a table. I love their hash browns, or the Farmers breakfast! I give them the highest rating mainly because of their hard dedicated management team and staff. The ones that want to work and do work. If you look at their plaque that hangs proudly near the cashier and register you will the long years of service each has given to this establishment. We are talking 30-40+ YEARS!!! There were many nights in my younger years when we ended up at Anna Miller's after a night out. When it's late, I get a craving for cornbread, grilled in butter and topped with a drizzle of honey. I only want it late at night, and it always makes me happy. Recently, I had a chance to go back to Anna Miller's--in the daytime (that's a first!)--and pretty much nothing's changed. The servers still wear their signature outfits, breakfast is served all day, and if you have room there's pie. I ordered the chicken pot pie. There aren't a lot of restaurants with a chicken pot pie on their menu and I was able to get my cornbread, modified the way I like it, plus a salad. Overall, the chicken pot pie was pretty good. The top is a biscuit crust. Inside there are chunks of chicken, carrots, celery, mushroom and pearl onions. It was a little dry, but a little more gravy could easily fix that. I also sampled the fried rice and loco moco. Both were good diner versions of these popular dishes. So this is a very dated restaurant. Which is fine, but it needs a super deep clean. Food stains were even on the window blinds which is kind of gross. It just needs spiffing up, keep it diner looking for sure but cleaner. Hostess greeted and seated us quickly. Server greeted us quickly and was friendly. Food came out quick. Ordered scrambled eggs, cornbread, with Scottish bangers. Eggs cooked right, sausage was ok but I think that's just the brand they use- nothing to do with the cooking. Sadly cornbread was dry and over cooked and didn't have that sweet flavor it was supposed too. Also got the fresh blueberry pancake special. They were okay, not terrible but not great. And lastly 2 cups of Kona blend coffee, which tasted bad. No amount of cream and sugar could fix that. Bummer. But the server was great, friendly, and checked on us a lot. We probably won't be back, it's kind of expensive, food is so-so, and they need to clean the place badly. Place has been here since kid time and it looks like they haven't cleaned it since then too. Get rid of the blinds, and little scrubbing, new booth fabric, maybe a little tune up on cooking and place could be great again. Then people wouldn't mind the prices so much. read more

I got the salmon Benedict and my wife got the big meat platter, it was very good. The service is great and i got my coffee refilled 3 times before i told her to stop. The reason why I'm giving it 4 stars is because there needs to be a better system in place in regards of paying for your meal. There is one cashier and alot of people in line. Excellent customer service!! We were immediately greeted when we walked through the door, and the hostess requested to see our vaccination cards and ID. I was pleasantly surprised that we were sat immediately because the restaurant was packed.. it was really busy today. I remember the portions being big so my mom and I split a fried rice omelette.. needless to say the portion was more than enough for the both of us. Anna Miller's is a 24/7 diner that specializes in pie. We visited late one night after a long drive; it was the treat to end the day. Their boxes tout Pennsylvania Dutch style, which is where I grew up. While good, they definitely aren't authentic, especially the choice of flavors and ingredients. I did love my traditional pumpkin pie; it was noticeably sweet with a flaky crust. Around the table, we had various cream pies, ice cream, coffee, and tea. Prices here were very reasonable. They had a giant menu of all-day breakfast and various lunch/dinner options, but we were too full to try anything. The staff was friendly and fast. Our friends would've loved a souvenir t-shirt, but they haven't had any available in years they said. The pie counter was the busiest place, even at a late hour, with a simple menu of all their full-sized pies to go. They even have a 5-minute "pie pickup parking spot" right outside the doors. Parking otherwise is a snap and is shared with the mall. This is definitely worth trying if you're craving pie or comfort food. read more

Anna Miller's finally reopened! It's been a few weeks, but we honestly didn't know until about a week ago. We recently went for breakfast and I'm very happy to say that the food has not changed. My daughter ordered the pancakes, my husband had the spam omelette, and I ordered the farmers breakfast with link sausage (sub fried rice). When we were dating, my husband and I would order the same dishes and share the pancakes so it was nice to revisit that memory. The waitress was nice and the food came out a little slower than I recall, but we assume staffing might be a bit of an issue as it is with many restaurants right now. We were happy to wait the extra few minutes and enjoyed our meal. As of January 2022, the hours of operation for the dining room are 8am to 3pm. read more

They are open again for dine in from until 3pm!! The waitress said they aren't sure when they are going to do dinner service again yet. They like just opened up to do lunch as I checked the week before and they were still only doing pie take outs. This was like the slowest I've ever seen them, even at 2am they were busier than they were today. Definitely have missed their food even tho it's only once a year or so that I come here, even less after moving into town. But something is just so nostalgic about their uniforms and food. I went to Anna Millers for lunch on Wednesday with a friend. I had not been there in years. I had the most delicious veggie omelet I've had in recent memory. For mother's day the line outside was very long. But when I asked how long it would be, hostess said 30 minutes. I didn't believe her since it looked more like 2 hours. So I asked again and she said maybe a little longer but around 30 minutes. Exactly 30 minutes later we were seated. Amazing!! Our waitress was very nice and very quick service. We ordered and our food was brought out very quickly so I can see why they turn over patrons so quick. This is the most efficient service that I've seen. While Denny's after the club isn't a thing here in Hawaii I'm glad this place is around! The perfect spot to get breakfast or food at 2 in the morning! We tried their breakfast scramble which me and my husband split because I was not that hungry and it filled us both up! While I didn't try much I must say this is a hidden gem I'm glad I was introduced to! I believe it's open 24 hours! The ladies are in a cute dress attire the service was great and the food was yummy! True comfort food that is served quickly and in huge portions. The type of portions your grandma would feed you if you told her you're hungry! I don't get to dine in as often, but once in a while I would stop by for a pie/cheesecake! The only thing I don't like about Anna Miller's is that they only serve breakfast and lunch right now and currently are not 24 hours. Other than that we had a great experience during our last visit! Originally we were seated at a smaller table but had no problem switching to a bigger one. When I eat out I like variety so I tend to order a lot more but I like it because then that just means left overs for late. Everything was delicious because I know I wouldn't be giving them a 5 star review if it didn't. What do you need to know? The pancakes were light and fluffy, the butter effortlessly slid along the top of the hot pancakes, it didn't take much to cut it up, and when I applied that sweet syrup the whole plate looked like a cloud of fluffy deliciousness. Oh and the eggs were nice and fluffy and delicious. Came for a nice breakfast/brunch with my fiancé and was really surprised with how quick everything moved even though we had a longer wait time. Never did have a bad experience for the 12 years we've came here. The food is always good. The favorite is the chicken pot pie served with salad or soup with warm or grilled corn bread.
