I started with the Soju Mimosa made with Soju Citron, a potent (13% ABV) rice based liquer with OJ and champagne served in a goblet with a sugared rim. Very nice. I got an half order order (5 pieces) of fried chicken served with a spicy soy sauce and scallions. I added a side of kimchi. Very tender and crunchy chicken. I got a 2nd Soju cocktail and after my 2nd sip the alcohol hit me. Daji was my server. She was pleasant and gave me time to make my choices. I asked about the Soju. I don't get it. Absolutely nothing falls above or below the 3-star mark other than the very friendly service. This is my first review but fourth attempt to want to like Angry Chicken. At this point, I am "angry" that there is nothing worth attention here because I really, really love Korean Fried Chicken and chicken done nearly every way. I find they over fry the chicken to the point where they have managed to take a near fool-proof method (deep fry) to avoid drying out white meat and successfully turn it into chalk every time. Additionally, the way the are quartering the whole chicken completely disregards the bone structure and muscle directions and instead is literally a quarter hack that could be done with chainsaw or aggressive shear. What is the result is nearly every bit delivers a bit of bone with the meat. Now, don't get me wrong, there is nothing offensive about any of their dishes. The flavors are present, but unbalanced (often too heavy on the garlic). The sauces are present, but too sparse. Look, Havana has a wealth of fantastic southeast Asian fare. My husband and I have been coming to this place since they first opened. It used to be our go-to for the honey garlic chicken. Ordered today, picked it up and half my order was missing the sauce and the extra sauce I had paid for was nowhere to be found. Called and was told the owner would call me back in a 30 minutes. In the meantime, I've got a half and order of chicken that's drier than the Sahara, no sauce and hungry people. We decided to deal with feeding people another way and waited for a call back. I get a call and a woman, who apparently is now the new owner proceeds to tell me that I can either drive back to the restaurant and get my $5 in sauce so I can then drive home and put in on my cold chicken or she can refund me $5. I ask her if they could make it right and refund half the cost of the chicken as now it's not only super dry but cold. I am told in no uncertain terms that she will not be refunding anything more than $5 and it's no longer her problem beyond that. I was also told that I should have opened the bag that they tied in a knot and double check everything in it to make sure it's correct. How is that MY job? The new owners absolutely do not care about customer service. After years of coming here, I'll be finding myself another Korean fried chicken place. I have tried Angry Chicken twice; Delivery and dine in. I have to say that dine in 100 times better than delivery. First time I tried Angry Chicken was delivery. I would have to say that I would not recommend this method. Order took too long to be delivered, sauce was leaking everywhere, and the food was cold. But something told me that I had to try this place again. Dining in was a whole different experience. More like I tried another restaurant! Located in a very busy strip mall, it will be a headache finding parking in their little lot. But luck was on our side this day. Walking in, the restaurant was clean. We were seated right away, and our server was awesome! Bathrooms were also clean which is always something that should be a top priority in restaurants. We ordered a whole order of the original, half order of the Honey Garlic, and garlic noodles. And OMG I was blown away. I was so blown away that I was dancing while taking each bite. Chicken was so soft in the inside but crunchy on the outside. The batter was also not heavy, light and airy is more like it. If I had to choose, I would choose the original over the honey garlic. But I definitely would not kick the latter out of bed. I am not going to say that the original is my favorite just yet because I am looking forward to coming back and trying the other flavors and other dishes. If only Angry chicken took more time and effort in ensuring we get quality food for delivery, I would be eating here much more often. But for now, dining in will be the only way to go. read more

Ok let me start off the post by saying I'm not the biggest wing fan, they've just never really been my thing...that was until I stopped into Angry Chicken for a Yelp Elite event. She took fantastic care of me; really 5 star service and steered me in the right direction to create the perfect flavor combo. I really owe it all to her because I probably would have not tried the honey garlic and just got straight spicy and it really brought a delicious element to my wings...but anyways I digress, nice to be able to get an adult bevvie with my meal so keep that in mind. The combo is like seriously a lot of food. It started of with a massive salad. I tried to make a good dent on this to fill up on some greens before I moved on to fried food. It was a basic salad but it definitely helped me feel better about myself at the end of the meal lol. Next you choose your chicken option and side. My lovely bartender recommended the wings, which I went with, and I chose the angry sauce on the chicken with a side of honey garlic. I also mentioned I like spice to the bartender and she brought out the spicy soy for me to try too. I have to say the flavor combo of these three was really something special. I highly recommend it, and don't worry it's not like mouth of fire spice, but just bursting with flavor and a nice kick of heat, so don't be scared! Also the batter of the Korean fried chicken really is much better than your boring old average fried chicken. It was like the perfect crisp with still being lovely and juicy inside. Not mad at some Angry Chicken! Located in the same parking lot as Dae Gee and Snowl, Angry Chicken is a solid Asian fried chicken spot that's a lot bigger inside than you'd think. It's darker than your average restaurant inside, and it certainly isn't fancy. It resembles a cleaner, more pleasant dive bar with tables. So it's a simple dining experience that isn't necessarily impressive, but the chicken itself is solid. This isn't necessarily a date spot, but if you're dating someone awesome who likes to go to town on fried chicken with Asian flavors, then it would certainly qualify. The last time I left this place, I was indeed Angry. That was over a year ago and I was charged an extra $3 for takeout and told that the fancy boxes (free advertising) were the reason why. Boo. Fast forward to the present. After a long delay at a nearby store, I'd been jonesing for fried chicken. It was almost 10pm on a weeknight. With few remaining choices in the area and time to go elsewhere fading fast, Angry Chicken was perfect. I appreciate this place for several reasons. First, the chicken delivers--whether spicy or not, fried or roasted--it satisfies. I'd never tried the roast bird before. While fried chicken makes its living on coating, spice, & sauce, their roast chicken offers a wholesome, satisfying alternative. I've enjoyed the honey garlic and sweet/spicy sauces before, but was in the mood for straight up original fried chicken. A half bird did me right with its crispy, spicy goodness. Leftovers made a great meal the next day. When AC first opened, the sides were limited to, well, less American tastes. I'll freely admit my gratitude that mashed potatoes (spicy gravy!) can be had now. This place lists as a sports bar. Given all the TVs, that fits. They offer a reasonable beer list including some macro micros, a Korean choice, and some yellow swill. My large (20 or 22oz) Dale's rang up at a spiffy $6. The line was clean. Huge. They're open late. Good luck finding a better option in Aurora. Last, this isn't the only place for Korean chicken in the area, but I feel most welcome here. That's priceless. Came in for the Yelp Elite Event last night and it was a success. As part of the event, you'll be given a special menu with a free combo meal including: 1 entrée, 3 sauces, 1 side, 1 side salad and a soft drink. That's a lot of food! I ordered 10 wings with 3 sauces: honey garlic, spicy soy and oriental, and fries. Everything was brought out promptly. The wings went perfectly with all the sauces. Fries were so good even my keto friend couldn't resist. Side salad was crisp and fresh that I kept coming back for more, even though salad would typically be the last on my list. Our server was attentive and friendly. Overall, thank you Angry Chicken for hosting us last night and thank you Yelp for offering the event. We had such a fun and delicious dinner! We had been eager to try this restaurant since it opened. For an Elite Yelp Event we went there and got take out. I order the regular friend chicken without sauces. I was a bit afraid of the spicy hot flavors. My husband got the Sweet and Spicy variety. I got fries and he got masked potatoes, spicy variety. Along with my meal, a tossed salad was included. I was very disappointed at the quality of the chicken I got. The coating was so "crispy" that it cut my mouth. Also, the chicken was overcooked to the point of being dry and tasteless. I felt like my chicken may have been cooked earlier and then re-fried when it was to come out to me. That was not the case for the sweet and spicy variety that my husband got. The coating was not overly spicy and the chicken was not so dry. The tossed salad was terrific. Very fresh, crunchy romaine lettuce and little sweet tomatoes. The fries were the highlight of the meal for me. I am not sure what is one them, but they stayed crispy and tasty for the ride home and then on the table. When I first walked in I noticed there were next to no customers there and only one employee behind the bar. It took forever for her to speak to me and welcome me into the restaurant. She went ahead and got me seated and I let her know I was waiting on another person in my party. I ran to the restroom and came back to waters on our table, which was appreciated. Soon after the other person in my party joined me, our server came and introduced themselves and gave us the rundown on the menu. We got so caught up in talking that we forgot about ordering, thankfully they were super patient with us. We started off with the Soju flight which is turned into a game. If you can guess which flavors they give you, you get a free bottle. Let's just say I could never be a chef but the Soju was amazing! It was unlike any I had ever had before. The strawberry was my favorite it was fruity and super refreshing unlike a juice or any beverage I've ever tasted before. I will definitely be back for more of that in the future! Next we ordered wings. My friend ordered plain wings with the mango habanero sauce on the side. I ordered the sweet and spicy wings. They were absolutely magnificent. I heard about this place on tiktok and how they fry their wings gives them a unique crunch and they were now lying. They have this perfect addicting crunch to them that is unlike any wing I've ever had before, it makes you want to come back for more. The angry roll with the cinnamon butter was delicious too, it reminds me of the Texas Roadhouse experience (although they do charge for their rolls which i find a bit absurd).
