Lazy to cook and decided to order takeout. Down the street is this gem called Angkor. They are Cambodian owned and offers Chinese and Cambodian food. Small restaurant, no dining, just togo orders only. If you don't want to wait for the food, call them in advance. Otherwise you can order at the counter. Their salt and pepper wings are delicious, it's this dry rub that's sprinkled on top of fried chicken. My usual Angkor fried rice is combination meat fried rice is always good. They give you alot of food, usually lasts me 2 meals.

Angkor has become our go-to for Asian delivery. I'll have to remember to take some pics next time. First off, they are meticulous in packing orders. Anything that could spill or seep is wrapped in plastic. Every container is placed carefully in the bag so that nothing can fall over. And after more than a dozen orders, they've never made a mistake. Next of course is the food. We've tried a good chunk of their menu and everything has been phenomenal. Their Fried Rice is probably the best we've had. The broth for their Wonton soup puts everyone else to shame. The Chicken Wings are craveable. My wife absolutely loves their Crispy Walnut Shrimp. Anything that includes a sauce isn't drowned in it, and anything intended to be sweet isn't cloying. One caution; if you order anything labeled as spicy, especially their Cambodian dishes, they're not kidding about the heat. Last time I ordered the Kung Pao Beef and added a note to keep the spice level reasonable, and they nailed it.

Takeout: chicken chow mein, chicken egg foo yung, chicken broccoli, white rice and chicken fried rice (few cream cheese wontons)

Angkor was a pleasant surprise! Drove from Maple Grove for takeout because there aren't any good classic Chinese American restaurant around anymore. It was worth the drive to get the food how we like it and they did it! Plus... they actually use REAL chicken! Sad to say that many restaurants use cheap grade chicken, but Angkor has quality! Food: Cream Cheese Wontons- a little on the sweet side... they were nice and crispy, but almost dessert like. 3/5 Chicken Egg foo yung- I loved it crispy and the sauce was rich and flavorful. 5/5 Chicken chow mein- this is what my hubby was craving and it satisfied the cravings! Thick gravy and tasted how we wanted it and the chicken was nice quality. 5/5 Chicken Fried Rice- The rice had nice flavor, but I prefer a little more soy taste. We will request next time. 4/5 Chicken Broccoli- once again, the chicken was real and white meat. Sauce reminded us of a peppery garlic Vietnamese style chow mein. I really liked it and would order again. 4/5 Only paid around $40 and had 3-4 meals with the leftovers! Thanks Angkor! We will be back and tell others about your restaurant!

Once again. So tasty. Hot and fresh. Give it a good stir before indulging. As always it's 2-3 meals in one

We had a little trouble finding it. It's way back in a little strip mall and the snow banks in the parking lot were huge. It is a really small place with only four tables but we saw a lot of takeout while we were there. Each time the front door opened we got a rush of cold air. The food made up for all of this. I had the combo Kung Pao Chicken which was very good. I like some spice and it was good without asking for more spice. We also had pork with pea pods which was also tasty. Tiny place with huge flavor.

Food is excellent. I prefer spicy food and spice level does not disappoint. Egg rolls are unique but delicious.

The food is inconsistent but still tasty. I once found a long black hair in my hair egg roll, but they did not seem too concerned .

Like others on here, we had an eclectic experience…read more We started the night having a drink at Nucky's downstairs. Raves about there! Service was attentive, and the staff were all dressed in peiod garb to add to the experience. The drinks were great and less pricey than you would expect for a place like this. Club 300 was different however. We were seated quickly and asked for our drink order... But then things went a little off.. The hostess came back after 10 minutes and said our waiter was busy and she would take care of us. After taking our order she was gone again for a good while, and did check in on us maybe once more. Didn't put a stopwatch on our order but it was definitely a good 40-50 minutes before our dinner was ready-- even though only less than half the tables were full. Restaurant speed needs a little work. No complaints about our food however, I had the spicy Thai basil and the beef was tender and flavorful and portion size was good, and my wife also was pleased with her order. We've been to a number of the fancier restaurants in the Cities (Forpaughs, Ruth's Chris, Ocean aire, etc.) so we know what fine dining looks like-- and would have to say they don't match up to them and seem to have some things to learn in the little things (finer silverware, attention to detail by the waiter, etc.) but they seem to be trying and learning. Definitely worth the price, and we'll be back.

I can't even say I "checked in" here. Sis and I wanted…read moreSunday brunch and I saw on FB post that they had affordable brunch options. Plus, I've wanted to try this place for a while. Parking was easy on the lot behind the building, next to the Big White House. The building must be having renovations as there was scaffolding all around it, with a main staircase entryway covered to protect people from things falling. We walked in and I was impressed by the look of the entryway. Rich architecture history from the old post office. We waited for a hostess to either take our name or bring us to a table but no one ever came. There was 2 women with 2 kids sat at a low table in the entryway, near the bathroom. And I could see the dining room filled with families with little kids. I observed that no one was eating but had water glasses filled. I saw a little boy (4yo??) walk out of the dining room, across the front entrance behind the hostess table and down an empty corridor.... no adult?? And then I watched one of the women at the low top table get up, walk down that same empty corridor and come back a few moments later a little perturbed. She muttered something to her table mate that piqued my interest. After seeing their empty water glasses and milk cups (kids), I asked if THEY had been served yet. The other lady said they had been waiting for over an hour. Everything was starting to add up. No one was eating. We hadn't been greeted after standing there for about 10 mins. I never saw any waitstaff either. Nope, not gonna do that. And we walked out. Maybe I'll try again, maybe I won't. Time will tell.
