Always looking for new places to try. Stumbled across this place- was skeptical at the prices which seemed a tad high, but once we got our food, I see why- huge portions, enough to last for a few meals. Food ordered: Curry Combination entree- I'm not a fan of curry at all, but my husband likes it and said it was very good. Pork egg foo young - good but there were certain bites that I felt the grease as I swallowed. Big chunks of pork, but very greasy. I always toss the gravy out. Egg rolls- meh. I could leave those. I prefer the ones with cabbage- this one was just meat and the wrapper tasted oddly like a funnel cake. Chicken nuggets I thought my son would like but he didn't like them. They look just like McD's but had an odd spice. Pork noodle soup was deliciously fresh- I love bean sprouts and green onions. The broth was tasty- not sure the lettuce works and the dumplings were plump. I tried this as there was no wonton which is my favorite. They have really nice take out containers- especially the soup. Not the typical flimsy containers. Extensive menu- would probably venture back. read more

I recently visited this restaurant expecting for this location just to be another Chinese place but was pleasantly surprised by the sizing when they said large, they meant LARGE portioning It was amazing to see something different and the price definitely made sense. Also the flavor was exceptional nothing like the other restaurants I've been to. Their service was amazing I ordered something at 7:30pm and they close at 8pm they were able to get a large order done quickly and they were happy to do so, this is definitely a top spot for me. read more

Ordered the egg rolls, General Tso's Chicken, and a side of chicken fried rice (lunch special). Everything came hot and on time, however the General Tso's had a strange flavor I could not place... something in the sauce. Not particularly my favorite, but it was hardly bad. Egg rolls were standard, as well as the sweet and sour sauce that came with. Fried rice was good. Will definitely try this place again before dismissing it. read more

As someone with food restrictions I am always SO delighted when a restaurant cares enough to pickup the phone!!!! I placed an order for fried rice with no egg and they called to confirm if cross contamination was OK! That is incredible. Food was delicious, the fried rice wasn't greasy like some places and super flavorful. Whatever their orange dipping sauce is with pineapple is FABULOUS with their shrimp! We just moved to the area a couple of months ago and tried this restaraunt out on a whim. My husband lived in China for a while, and is very impressed by the authenticity of the food here. They have delicious food, good portion sizes, and are reasonably priced. All the staff we have interacted with is friendly. During Shelter in Place, you can order online and they'll bring the food out to your car. This is the only local Chinese restaraunt we will go to from now on. read more

Was really excited when I found this company that delivers to my area. To bad they lost a customer because they wouldn't except cash. Can you believe it. They wanted a card. Sometimes it's not best to give your card numbers to strangers cause they can always change the amount. It happened to me before so be careful with your cards. read more

If you want dim sum or hot pot, or any other "Authentic mainland Chinese cuisine", go elsewhere. This is good ol' fashioned Chinese American takeout. Cream cheese wontons, chop suey, the stuff Americans call "Chinese". And just like good ol fashioned Chinese takeout, it's good and filling. (Although their stir fried veggies are ok when it comes to healthy food) I ordered from here because of 2 factors. One was because in this trying time, our Asian American neighbors are being unfairly harassed. He's probably been to Asia as much as I have. It's not fair that Asian Americans are being harassed just because of something that happened on the other side of the globe that didn't involve them. Didn't we learn this lesson during the Japanese internment? Many places like this one are losing business because of people's stereotypes. 2. I've heard stories about Their takeout being quick and reliable. It didn't disappoint. Again, don't come here if you're expecting dim sum or anything remotely authentic. My quest to find take out chinese close by continues. I tried their sesame beef, and well, it wasn't good. The sauce was average at best and far too much but the worst part was the amount of doughy breading put on the beef. There were pieces I'm not sure if they even had beef. The few pieces I had were satisfactory. Had it been breaded correctly and not so mushy, I would've given it 3 stars. The rice had a fishy taste to it however, not sure, but it was also a little concerning. My wife found her chicken and broccoli to be bland. Luckily chinese isn't healthy food option and we're looking to eat healthier, but when we do want to indulge, we'll still be driving to Brooklyn Park. read more

Recently we have been going through some very tough times. We spent 4 days of procedures and chemo at Rochester. When we finally got home Wednesday night no one was in the mood to go out or cook so we called and had delivery . Ordered Shrimp with lobster sauce, chicken cashew and Moo Goo Gai Pan dinner specials that included rice and egg rolls per order. What a relief ! Very average at best. Fried rice was really salty, sesame chicken had a good sauce, but very low quality chicken.

We have been going to Rong Cheng for years & have never been disappointed. I used to love watching him cook at the gas stoves but since Covid, we don't go inside. The food is always good (we like to mix it up on ordering but our favorites are Orange Chicken/ Chicken w Chinese Veggies/ General Tso / Creamcheese Wontons..... ahhhhh I like em all! The portion size is generous (we always have more for the next day) You can order extra or less spicy (Singapore Mai Fun!) and they just changed their Combo dinners- the price went up a bit, but the portion size is even larger, includes a soda of your choice, they load you up with plates, forks and even chop sticks, and condiment pkgs. read more

These guys are pretty good. I used to have a condo right behind here and called on my way home from work frequently. I love their sesame chicken! Recently, I've discovered that they deliver to my current location. I love the online ordering feature (I'm not a fan of trying to figure out what I want when I'm on the phone) and I like that they don't charge too high of a delivery charge. I have to say that I agree with the guy who's "review isn't recommended" although of the places he listed, the only one of those places I tried... my response to my husband when he brought take out from it was "This isn't Rong Cheng. My new favorite! Cheap, good portions, and super tasty. We're talking the greasy, fried "Chinese" food. The good stuff. And I always judge a Chinese place by their fried rice and this place has among the best fried rice. I recommend the General tso chicken combo. read more
