We've been coming here for over a year, right after they opened. This is the best Chinese/Cambodian food in the area. And we've been here several times. The home made won-ton soup beats any other place -- even places in the Cities'. We get our dishes extra spicey, and they are happy to replace any protein with tofu (for the wife). I ordered for delivery and it was about 40 minutes. Food want so bad. Maybe because I was a little sick the fried rice and sweet and sour chicken tasted greasy to me. Then again what chinese food isn't greasy? Yeah, food portion was kind of small for being $10 an order. The pho broth was actually pretty good but it's mostly noodle then meat. I literally had like 4 pieces of beef and 3 shrimps and 2 meatballs that were halved. I guess I would order from here again if I'm sick or something. Who knows. read more

Was excited to 1) find this restaurant in the middle of the greater Blaine area 2) dine here based on the helpful yelpers, who for the most part appeared to be satisfied. Drove over 20 minutes to arrive 20 minutes before closing only to see the manager proprietor see my vehicle pull-up then shut off the lights of his establishment. No doubt he saw me, yet he decided it was in his better interest to close his business rather than earn a local customer for life. Look, I'm a dedicated patron to the mom and pop shops out there, particularly because the ethnic restaurants are better than the chains, but absolutely abhor the amateur small business practices of closing when business is slow regardless of advertised hours. The fact that he saw me and decided to shut his doors shows he doesn't value building a customer base and instead seeks the quick dollar without being a true restauranteur. Sound like a spurned lover and writing a vindictive post, maybe. But all these reviews are just that, critiques on the business, and good food does not trump poor business practices. To the gentlemen proprietor, I suggest pondering the idea as a businessman you lost a potential customer who eats out frequently and to his favorite establishments weekly. Imagine a $30-50 dollar a week family tab 52 weeks a year. That's approximately 1500 to 2500 hundred dollars in lost gross sales, and even worse the potential for other customers from a foodie advocate who would of steered that much or more in additional sales. A great restaurant! Their cha loc lac was amazing. Beef was tender and the sauce that went with it was awesome. Highly recommended dish! Their other food were very tasty and flavorful. Only downside is there is no dessert. Definitely recommended! read more

I have ordered from angkor a couple times. The first couple times were ok, nothing too memorable, but last night...wow! The fried rice was great and flavorful but not greasy. Our food was not good. Chicken was bland and tasteless. The runny cheese sauce pockets they called wontons were disgusting. I guess the fried rice wasn't horrible but I'm pretty sure it wasn't made anytime this week. Servers were nice though, not knocking the people. Go say hi but don't eat here. read more

I used to pick up take out Chinese food at China Inn in Blaine on University Avenue and have been looking for a similar place since they closed a few years ago. This place is awesome and very unassuming. I have driven by it a bazillion times. The fried rice is awesome - dark, sticky with bean sprouts, onions and pork pieces that were tasty. The cream cheese puffs were so crisp and flavorful. The eggrolls were the ones with rice noodles which aren't my first choice but were tasty. We also ordered sweet and sour chicken. The chicken pieces were good quality and tasty. There was no pineapple or bell pepper pieces though. read more

Don't get me wrong. This is a great restaurant. But tonight I was greatly disappointed. Order the stir fry... It's AMAZING. Order the foo young... FANTASTIC! But order the lo mein... You'll just get ramen noodles with a protein and various veggies. I'm honestly surprised that such a great restaurant would serve such an uninspired dish. 2 Negatives - 2 Positives. I gambled and lost ordering the Pho Combo, It basically was noodles, broth, some bean sprouts, one meatball cut in 4 pieces, and the worst part was the beef was something you would get in a beef and broccoli dish. Embarrassing. Shouldn't be on the menu, unless they can improve it and make it at least passable. The Spicy Mongolian Beef heat level was the way I liked it, but the beef to onion ratio was pretty bad. No Beef. I also ordered the Laab or Larb.. however the hell you want to spell it. I asked if I could get Chicken Laab instead of Beef and they said not a problem. It was different than what I'm used to, but I thought the flavors were really well done. I would order this again. The pork eggrolls, free since my order was $37, were really good as well. Basically I shouldn't have gambled on the Pho, a pretty stupid move on my part. I guess I was hoping to be pleasantly surprised that they could pull it off for some reason. I will try some different things off the menu next time. Food is "OK". Anything deep fried tends to be really greasy. The oil needs to be hotter. Stir-fried dishes are much better. The only complaint I have is that their prices make almost no sense. Many things are competitively priced, but their soups are really expensive. $9.00 for a quart of soup? That is crazy expensive for what is essentially a "broth". I can go to Byerlys or any "specialty" shop and pay less than that for a Bisque. read more

I'll never go back. The egg rolls were disappointing. As big around as my finger and next to no filling. They could not hold more oil. The pot stickers were not good either. We got cashew chicken and szechuan shrimp. Chicken and cashews with lots of RAW celery and nothing else, only celery. The szechuan shrimp was the same way, shrimp and lots of RAW celery and NOTHING else, just lots of RAW celery. Here the flavor was good but, we just could not get over the celery thing. Celery and NO other vegetable, just bright green hard celery. Crunchy hard raw celery. The shrimp were very small (90-120 count) and had that "fishy" processed shrimp flavor. That same flavor seemed to have tainted the rice as well, and the rice was way over cooked. When you walk in the door you will notice there is a need for an exhaust fan. You don't just smell the hot oil you can see the hazy smoke that fills the room. I ordered take-out on sight then waited for my food. When I got home my shirt smell so strong of fry oil I changed clothes before I ate. The staff in front were very nice, friendly, smiling and happy. I was so excited to try the food. And then sooooo disappointed when I got home. I can't understand how anyone could write a positive review. p.s. The sauces? Better than average but nothing to get excited about either read more

Small place located near the corner of a shopping center. Ordered take out and seemed to be pretty good, #9 combo was ok, fried rice was tasty, ill say one of the better ones i've had. Spicy chicken wasnt spicy but was doable. The spicy beef was pretty good. Only complaint would be the spicy chicken wing, came in a hot tin tray and didnt really taste that good. The batter of the fried chicken was soggy and the sauce just left a weird after taste, plus it wasnt spicy. I got more kick from the spicy beef than the wings. read more

I have ordered here for 3 years! So delicious. Never ever had a bad thing... Until today. I almost always order spicy beef and broc. This is the very first time I couldn't eat it. Maybe they were too busy. I called back, kinda brushed off. What about tonight. I'm hungry and I can't eat it. I love too spicy, just not the quality for 15 bucks plus a 5 dollar tip. Angkor restaurant is one of my favorite spot to go eat out with friends and families. There food is totally delicious and they have many different varieties of food. Every time I've been there, there food is always freshly made and have a special taste to it like no other restaurant.
