One of the best korean food I've tried, I forgot to take a picture of the egg salad sandwich but it is a must try here. I also tried the spicy bulgolgi cup bap and it was delicious. The owner was so sweet and she seem to love cooking and it shows through her food. Since it is a smaller business its location is not too great. You have to walk into the building and walk towards Cafe K or the back of the building as someone in the comment said. I'm definitely going back with my friends.

homemade Kimchi and bulgogi cupbap (yes there is a lot of meat!)

Wow. Found this browsing for late night food one day and so glad I did. Location is hard to find: GPS will take you to the front office (which is locked) but if you follow the sign to "Cafe K" and go through the back entrance on Javier Rd. you'll find it. Bulgogi cupbap was incredible. Massive portions and the egg and veggies go very well. Not too sauced or salty, and you can taste the home-made nature of it. Owner also gave me some of her homemade kimchi which was delightfully spicy and a perfect complement. Amazing family owned restaurant that has a delicious, inexpensive, no frills dish. Owner is very friendly and I wish her all the best with this new spot. I will be certainly be returning and bringing friends, especially for late night food pickups.

I've been here twice now. Every time I come Mik warmly welcomes me. She feels like one of those awesome moms from a Korean drama that you wish you had haha. Mik is very detailed with her food and will also introduce you to new things all the time. All the ingredients she used are quite fresh. She will also take the utmost care if you have any concerns or allergies. The food is always very delicious and feels so clean. Also the portion is generous to say the least. I was skeptical of the bulgogi at first because it wasn't like the normal I had before, but after having it the first time I had to get it again. The milkshakes are so yummy and great for a quick, healthy meal. The shrimp fried rice sample I got was out of this world. I'm sad I did not order that as my main meal haha. I'm not sure if she sells the cookies or not, but I've had three kinds of them and they're the perfect balance of sweet and salty. I ate three in one sitting last time. I had to give them to my friends to try this time or else I probably would have eaten them all again. All the food she makes is made with care and love. I will keep coming back for anything Mik makes!

the food is one of the best dishes that we have ever tried. The owner is very friendly and warm. The restaurant is located behind the building, you just have to go around the building. It is in the same place as K cafe. The place also have playing section where you can have a good time with your friends

They can be found on the parking lot where Joongmi is. We were on our way to another eatery, and we saw that there was a long line - we knew we had to stop by to check them out! Their menu is pretty straightforward - they have Chicken Shawarma and the Afghan Burger, and various juices (Banana, Special Mix, and Carrot). On our initial visit, the line moved extremely slowly, especially since there were some patrons who kept requesting various condiments/salt, who were holding up the line. In addition, there were some patrons who had placed an order earlier who was cutting in line to pick their food up as well. We wanted to try their Chicken Shawarma, but it was sold out! Note to self: get there early! On the next visit, we were able to get there early enough for a later lunch, and was able to order: +the Chicken Shawarma - a thin wrap filled with chicken shawarma, garlic sauce, olives, pickles, tomatoes, and onions; we opted out of the lettuce; the chicken was very well-marinated and flavorful, but this was not served hot; this was, at most, at room temperature, which wasn't really pleasant; also, the wrap could have been rolled a bit more tightly, as all the ingredients just continued to fall out +the Afghan Burger - a thin wrap filled with a sausage, fries, lettuce, tomatoes, and onions; we opted out of the lettuce; this was pretty decent, but the hand-cut fries were not hot or fresh; again, this wrap, as the Chicken Shawarma, was not served hot and was at room temperature; the wrap could have been rolled a bit more tightly, as all the ingredients and toppings were loose and fell out continuously +the Banana Juice - was similar to a thinned out smoothie; definitely not your typical sweet smoothie; this tasted fresh and doesn't seem to contain any sweeteners or sugar; I thought that this was just okay, but could have been prepared cold; this was, like the other food items, lukewarm The later crowd seems to get made-to-order items, as there's usually a line, and food has to be be kept up; however, our lunch experience seems to have the food already pre-cooked/pre-made, making it not fresh Staff were kind and friendly. Plenty of parking in the large lot. +room temperature food during off-peak times +shawarma runs out quick! +kind staff +plenty of parking +located at the Joongmi lot

The Chicken itself in the shawarma was a bit dry, but the combination of sauce, seasoning, and the afghan bread was really tasty, note that there is ALOT of black pepper. The Afghan burger itself was alright, the volume of food for the price you pay is pretty good, finding food in NoVA for sub $15 that will fill you up is always nice to see. There were fries, boiled eggs, and a sausage, along with a lot of black pepper once again, not sure if there was supposed to be a sauce but that might've helped the burger be a bit more tasty/less dry. Overall it's a pretty good option if you're passing by the food truck and want a quick bite, or are in the mood for shawarma/Afghan burgers in general! The food took a bit to prep, but service was really friendly.

This one was my personal fav out of the 3; I thought it was going to be a normal milk tea; i wasnt expecting the thick coconut or the passion fruit taste. I added pudding as an additional topping and it blended so well with the coconut and thick creaminess. The boba was spot on and just the right amount of chewyness and sweetness. -Prism Town Punch (inspo: Totodile) a tropical punch with blue curacao, citrus lemonade and aloe jelly. This drink was not really my cup of tea but it tasted very similar to a mountain dew baja blast LOL -Mega Evolution Matcha (inspo: Chikorita) "creamy buttery matcha with brown sugar boba" .. This one was the worst one, in my opinion. I love a good matcha latte but this was not it. It tasted like grass, I couldnt have more than 3 sips. My friend and I finished the other 2 and thought we'd give the matcha another try; it was worse this time than the initial tasting. I have no words.... truly just not great. The boba-ristas were nice and allowed us to switch out our straw toppers. We got 2 pikachus and 1 pokeball straw topper; they are super cute. The store is small with a few hightop tables, they have a new claw machine with some cute stuffed plushies and a photo booth.

I mourn the fact that COVID killed the samples, but it's still a great place to shop for a treat or just run in and grab a coffee which I do a few times a month. It's big and fluffy with chewy moist mocha flavored dough and a crispy sugary coating on the outside that's to die for. It's still light and fluffy at the same time. Yum! And while it's prob not made in-house, I do love the red bean buns. Bathrooms are always clean and the upstairs is great for a longer chat with a friend, time in a book, or board or card game time. Absolutely no flavor whatsoever for $16.55 The chocolate chip brownie, didn't have much taste of chocolate and stale. $4.50 The upside down pineapple cake was the worst, so old it had the metallic taste of the aluminum container and crumbled into granules using a fork. Absolutely inedible! $4.25 Breeze bakery has been going downhill for a while now, but 3 out 3 items being inedible for $28 is unbelievable. There is also the short bulky Korean guy, possibly the manager who's seems to be on a power trip and speaks to customers rudely and unprofessionally. I'm thinking that many people who come here know already what they want, because even before we cracked open our menus, the server was immediately at our table expecting us to place our order. When we told her we weren't ready yet, she left, but came back less than a minute later and then stood there waiting for us to place our order. So I ordered the Sullangtang, which is bone broth with brisket and noodles. JP ordered the Yukgaejang, a spicy red broth with veggies and flank steak. We also ordered the fried dumplings. I don't know if the fried dumplings were vegetable or pork, but they were very good, made even better with a delicious dipping sauce. As hoped, banchan was served with our meal, but was just cubes of daikon radish (kkakdugi) and kimchi. The kkakdugi and kimchi were fresh and tasty. Even if the Sullantang recipe is traditional, I was disappointed. The broth was thin and very bland. However, I was able to jazz it up and make it into a pretty good soup by adding spoonfuls of the Yukgaejang broth and the fried dumpling sauce, plus salt and pepper. The Yukgaejang, topped with crispy noodles, was the better of the two soups. It had a lively flavor and as billed on the menu, was indeed spicy. The menu is limited, almost exclusively vegetable and beef dishes, but there is a seafood pancake and whelk (mollusk) dish. No chicken or pork dishes. Overall, our experience was decent and we would certainly consider returning. Shin Chon has plenty of off-street parking.
