Pad Thai Noodle
Amelia T.

My friend really dug into the fried rice and she gobbled it up. The pad Thai was so smooth it basically was like peanut butter. The wait wasn't long and the sparkling drinks were not only pretty but pretty tasty. The concentrated syrup at the bottom was a rush. The rose contrasted the clean environment. It was cool we had two different plates for more options and two different waitresses for more options. (They respect their workers time). Shout out to the lady who gave us her egg rolls and sauce (the egg roll sauce + chili sweet sauce) very flakey. Kinda Parisian, lil Europe inside Thailand. BTW: We had to pay in cash Okay! Served

Pad See Ew Noodle ( TOFU )

My co-workers and I were craving some Thai food so we ordered for pick up at Andy's Thai Kitchen for some Pad See Ew and calamari! I ordered a Pad See Ew with Tofu and I really loved how well balanced the flavors were! Some Thai restaurants tend to make the pad see ew too sweet and watery but they made it perfectly at Andy's! They also added shredded carrots and and colorful vegetables to make it look so delicious and beautiful. The crispy calamari was pretty good! I asked for lemon on the side because it didn't come with it but they only had lime so make sure to ask for one if you like to put lime on your calamari! I only walked in to pick up but the interior was very spacious and clean! I can tell how properly they maintain their restaurant by how bright and welcoming it feels. I noticed that there were lots of seating for so it's perfect for people who are thinking about coming in groups. The service was great! I only went in to pick up but they attended to me very quickly and was very friendly and accommodating! Overall, really like this place and will be coming back (hopefully for dine in next time) Tip: if you're doing a pick up order make sure to ask for utensils if you need it! Utensils didn't come automatically with my order.

CASH ONLY. My friend told me about his place so I figured to give this place a try. AMBIANCE: Parking: It's in the suburbs so either try street parking or metered parking. Seating: Inside seating is good for solo, pairs, and small/large groups. It can probably Feels: It's right off of Diversey subway exit. The area itself can get loud here and there with the trains passing but aside from that, it's a calm suburban area. The place itself is pretty calming with soft jazz/elevator music along and minimal clean decor of homages to Thai culture, a tv showing how their foods look like, and a few recognitions on the local newspaper. Great place or a food adventure, hanging out with friends, or for family. FOOD Basil Crispy Pork Belly(Recommend) So many choices and unique ones too! Going solo I ordered the Basil Crispy Pork Belly subbing the rice with rice noodles (New Year Superstition). It was delicious! The pork was relatively crispy despite being well-marinated with good seasoning and sauce. The basil leaf brought a refreshing flavor, the garlic gave it a nice kick, and the mushrooms complimented the umami flavor to things and the chili provided a subtle yet nice heat to the dish. The rice noodles were able to extend my meal as they were marinated well in the sauce. Deeelicious! Melon Sparkling Soda (Recommend) This was something different! A unique transparent drink that was sweet and reminded me of bananas moreover. It was good at it was sparkly and sweet. CUSTOMER SERVICE: May was my server and she was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. TL; DR OVERALL: 5 Stars. Awesome! California has a lot of Thai places but this place is certainly unique. They have a wide range of selections, the prices were good, and the experience was pleasant. I really wish I did order more but this comes to show how much of a foodie town Chicago really is. Great job to Chef Andy and his team. If you're in the area do consider trying this place out. TIPS: * Moreover reminders: Cash only and come with a group so you can share and try more choices.

First time stopping in after their remodel! If you've visited before, you'll remember there weren't too many tables for seating. The space has so much more space now and the interior has really been brightened up! As an friendly FYI, they are a cash only establishment. I will not be surprised to see more businesses going this route, especially small restaurants and stores. Hopefully you all can continue to support them! If you want some delicious Thai food, sit down and relax and enjoy great attentive service. Or take it to go! Worth it either way!

Green curry

Reminder: cash only! I met up with friends for lunch and ordered the green curry with chicken. Good portion size and very flavorful. Definitely want to come back and try other dishes! Staff is friendly and I like how this place is also BYOB.

Wild Boar Ped Pad Curry

This is a great spot if you're looking for delicious Thai food! The food is flavorful and prices are fair. It's cash only, so come prepared! We got the basil crispy pork belly, wild boar ped pad curry, and pad Thai shrimp omelet. Everything was delicious and portion sizes where pretty big! We had enough leftovers for another dinner for the two of us. My favorite dish was probably the pad Thai shrimp omelet (although all of the dishes we got were very tasty). I'd definitely recommend the place if you're in the mood for Thai. There's a wide variety of curries, noodles, fried rice, and other specialty Thai dishes and you can't go wrong.

Spring Rolls
Sam L.

Great ambience right when you walk in! Nice flowers and decor on all the tables. I ordered the spring rolls, the plating was great and they looked amazing. The flavor was not bad. My friend ordered the mussaman curry, and it was delicious. Definitely a solid spot for thai food! I would go again if I'm in the area.

Pad Khe Mao

I am a little disappointed with ATK. It's been on my list for sometime now, but they failed on my favorite dish miserably. It's a CASH only place, and he'll let you and everyone else know that several times. I guess that's always a good thing that he's communicating that with you, that way you can't say that no one ever told you anything. The issues are of course the food. It's very overpriced and he doesn't offer lunch specials. I definitely don't mind paying for delicious food. I had asked for my "pad Khe Mao" to be extra spicy. I did order it with beef and the beef was not tender. It was chewy and had no flavor. Also the entire dish was soaked in oil and the entire dish lacked flavor. Worst of all there was no heat. When I went to pick up my order, he had asked if I wanted it "spicy spicy" or "very extra spicy?" So I told him spicy, and he handed me a little cup of hot sauce. Now I've had this sauce plenty of times, and it does not add extra heat at all. It's too acidic and makes the dish worse. In order for you to make this dish spicy, you have to add the powder. That's the stuff what will make your nose runny, and that's what I was hoping for. But unfortunately didn't get. Perhaps he has some other good tasting dishes, but there's so many other Thai places that make good food, and I don't see myself coming he anytime soon.

Pad Thai with chicken
Lynn K.

Went for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. We were the only diners in the restaurant but I noticed several to go orders being picked up while we were there. Two of us had the Pad Thai with chicken. The portion was huge and the presentation was beautiful. Spice level was as requested. The rice noodles were a thin vermicelli like noodle instead of the flatter noodle. Another diner had the Panang curry which he really enjoyed as well. Love this little place. Please go there.

Crab Fried Rice

Im back with a new favorite to add to the list and that is Garlic Pepper sauce with your choice of protein. We got tofu. It was savory similar to pad Thai sauce only more salt less sugar. It's really good. All my previous reviews stand.

Very kid, friendly with quality, high chairs and solid kids menu. Appreciate that their chicken strips were grilled versus fried and that they offered steamed vegetables versus french fries. One of the unique dishes that caught my eye was a ham and cheese French toast. It was sliced ham & housemade rosemary cream cheese between two slices of challah French toast and a side of maple syrup. Even though it mentions fried brussels sprouts, it's only a couple of leaves on top more as a garnish than a side dish. It was the ideal, sweet and savory brunch item! Service was spectacular. It's a delightful location right across the street from Gallagher Way and Wrigley Field -- but it's not a sports bar, it's a nice restaurant. It's not large, but there are a decent number of 2 and 4-tops, plus bar seats. I was pleasantly greeted on arrival, and throughout my stay, I was treated so well by waiter Landon, plus front-of-house staff. I got the mussels (from Prince Edward Island, which are the best) in an incredibly rich garlic broth with lardons and Fresno peppers -- the crisp baguette slices were perfect for soaking up more of the delicious broth. I also got the Sweet Potato Rosti. Almost charred outside, yet sweet and tender inside -- so delicious, with a set of surprises to go with it (creamy horseradish sauce, onion marmalade, trout roe...) Both appetizer dishes were delicious and served as a full meal for one person (I recommend the rosti as a shared dish - it's a bit much for one person). Finished with crème brûlée - delicious with a fun garnish of charred marshmallow. I tried a couple of their ballpark drinks. The Bleacher Tea was outstanding - a good balance (not too sweet) with a nice tea flavor and a kick. The Day Game Daze was a little less successful (I wasn't really getting the coffee, as it seemed the Bonanto and sweet vermouth were dominating). Overall, a wonderful experience before a Cubs game!

It's also mentionable that some rowdy types tried to come in and the hostess did be sure to verify that behavior did not disrupt their patrons which we were very happy to see. We had appetizers, meals and desserts. Lots to review; all good. Peaches n' Crema - burrata pugliese, spiced honey, piccolo cucumber, pistachio, mint. This app was delightful in every way. It was sweet and savory in a unique way. Octopus Carpaccio Siciliano - peperoncino, orange, oreganata, caper. If a restaurant has octopus on the menu, I get it. This was the most unusual preparation of octopus I've seen. It was sliced thin like carpaccio (it's not only in the name, our server also made it clear before I ordered). All the ingredients worked together to deliver a nice flavor. It was good, but I lost the taste of octopus in it. Still, it was very good. Wood Roasted Meatballs - beef & pork, pomodoro, wild oregano, parmigiano vecchio. It was a three-meatball appetizer. I got to try a bit and it was wonderful! I tasted just a bit of fennel, one of my favorite spices in Italian food. Mark was able to save one to add to his pasta. Tagliolini All'amalfitana - clams, prawns, calamari, vermentino, cherry tomatoes, parsley. Our friend ordered this and thoroughly enjoyed it. Bucatini Siccagno Pomodoro - siccagno tomato siciliano, garlic, basil; simple and delicious. As I mentioned, Mark added a meatball from the appetizer. I believe they can be ordered with the meal, which I heartily recommend. Paccheri Calabrese - n'duja pork ragu, san marzano tomato, peperoncini, parmigiano vecchio. SO delicious! I loved the flattened pasta. It was a lot of food. I didn't think I'd finish, but I most certainly did. Again, highly recommended. For dessert - Tiramisu. Our friend found it a bit dry. It was the lowest point of the meal, but not low enough to lower my review. Our friend mentioned it may have been day-old, but there's no way to tell. My hope is this dessert is generally moist and delectable. I suggest checking with your server to get a sense of what to expect. Mark and I both had Marscapone and Hazelnut Gelati. I felt it was a good size portion for the $6 price, which was reasonable. All desserts came with house-made biscotti. The gelati was fantastic. I found a chocolate chunk inside reminiscent of the chips in Graeter's ice cream (IYKYK). Our server was pleasant, helpful and a delight. If we lived in Chicago, we'd come back regularly.

The spicy crab pasta we got was good, and although the pizza had a great dough and sauces, it was quite soggy (where if you picked up a slice it drooped). Not sure if that's the specific style of pizza that is served here as this is consistent with my previous time at Coda di Volpe, so this could just be preference bias.

Before the game, I ordered one of their specialty iced lattes, but I didn't realize until after she had already made it that they use Dark Matter coffee, which I personally don't like. Unfortunately, I kinda hated it haha. It was way too strong and bitter tasting for me. Definitely not the employee's fault at all, it just wasn't my taste. Since I couldn't bring it into Wrigley anyway, I ended up throwing almost the entire $8 drink away. We actually came back after the Cubs game, though, because I still wanted to give The Bakehouse another chance. This time I ordered an iced matcha, and I liked it SO much better. It was smooth, refreshing, and much more my style. My husband and I also shared a slice of Oreo cheesecake, which we both really enjoyed. It was rich and sweet without being too much, and definitely a nice treat after the game. The prices are on the higher side, but honestly that seems pretty standard for coffee shops nowadays, especially in Wrigleyville. My original latte was around $8, the iced matcha was also about $8, and the slice of Oreo cheesecake was $6.50. The place itself is nice inside and the dining room area was clean. There isn't much room to wait for your order, though, and honestly, I would have changed the side of the counter where you order vs. where you pick it up. The door of the cafe is on the left side of the building, then you have to walk through people in a super narrow area to order, and then you have to pick up the food on the left side of the counter, just to move to the right again to sit in the dining room. Just a weird set up. Overall, I'd come back, but I'd personally skip the coffee drinks since Dark Matter just isn't for me. The matcha and cheesecake, though? I'd absolutely order those again. The service was friendly and quick, and it's a convenient little stop if you're in the area before or after a Cubs game!
