Went before Noah Kahan on Tuesday. Great location and delicious food! BBQ burger was super flavorful and would definitely eat again. It wasn't nearly as busy as I'd thought for right before the concert, but still had plenty of people. Bartender was super attentive and friendly, constantly checking in, chatting with us, and getting us what we needed. I should mention that the seating situation was odd-- we had a party of 2 and the options we were offered were stand at the bar or go upstairs (outside, and it was nearly 100°). We took the standing at the bar option. There were several tables in that area not occupied the entire time we ate there, and to add to the oddness, a party of six came in as we were on our way out the door and they were offered indoor seating with a 20 minute wait. Weird! But food was worth it and would go again if I'm in the wrigleyville area! read more

Order carryout and it was very good. Wrightwood salad was a 9/10 and better than your average bar salad. Smoked wings are great 9/10 also. Completely fall off the bone. I didn't order the little sample of pulled chicken it they added that in which was nice and tasty, not dry at all. I would definitely recommend read more

The nachos with pulled pork were pretty good but are probably not filling enough to share between two people. My only complaint is that there seemed to be more chips than pulled pork. There are lots of TVs inside, and I appreciated that they don't just play Cubs games during the summer, so there's usually something for everyone to watch. read more

So disappointed, came here after a game and was treated very poorly by the staff. We can to watch certain games and despite telling the staff got directed to specific tables that didn't allow even with 1/3 of tables being open. Cant speak to the food as we decided to head elsewhere. read more

Smoke Daddy was one of the 4 restaurants I gave as options for a Sunday date during the first weekend of Chicago Restaurant Week. My date picked a different restaurant within walking distance, but their kitchen lacked the food to prepare the restaurant week menu(?) so we ended up walking to Smoke Daddy. It definitely worked out for us! Cheers: We don't drink so we skipped the bourbon and beer and opted for Coke (boyfriend) and Diet Coke (me) Snacks: We ordered the Brisket Deviled Eggs and the Loaded Fries. The Brisket Deviled Eggs barely lasted on the plate, the half egg was rich and a perfect mix of savory with the brisket and sweet with the Mike's Hot Honey. The Loaded Fries were generous portion and had an engaging mix of sweet, spicy, cheesy, salty, and meaty as it was fries topped with mac daddy cheese sauce, pulled pork, chipotle ranch, green chile jam, and scallions! Every bite had toppings, but it wasn't too messy to eat. Mains: We both strategically ordered the Little City Eats. Between the two of us, we were able to try both the pulled pork AND the brisket as well as mac and cheese, cornbread, beans, and onion rings. We had fries for the snack course so only missed trying the coleslaw! The brisket melted in your mouth and was not overly fatty and pulled pork was moist and flavorful. The ribs were some of the best ribs I have ever eaten! The chicken pinwheel was moist and flavorful as well. For the sides, the beans were smoky, meaty, and cooked to perfection. The cornbread was not too dry, came with the perfect amount of cinnamon butter, and was surprisingly packed with flavor. The onion rings were crispy without being oily and also packed with flavor! I just had a bite of the mac and cheese and it was good, but not something that made me say, "Wow!" compared to everything else I put into my mouth. BBQ sauces: You didn't need their BBQ sauces at all, which speaks volumes for their food, but I tried all 4 out of curiosity. Each table offers: Sweet & Smoky, Mustard Q, BBQ Original, and Blazin' Hot. The Sweet & Smoky was my favorite with the BBQ Original a close second. The Mustard Q just wasn't for me and the Blazin' Hot was not hot to me at all. The green chile jam on the loaded fries left more of a tingle in my mouth. And now back to our regularly scheduled program, Dessert: Again, being strategic, we ordered one Key Lime Pie and one Banana Pudding, but when they came out, I was stopped in my tracks because they looked like they had pecans on them and I am allergic. I was also eating at a different restaurant than my parents and my daughter because my daughter loves seafood and I cannot eat shellfish, but I wasn't thinking about pecans at the BBQ! Shoutout to Juan, our wonderful waiter for bringing a banana pudding without the pecans on top so I could try it. It was one of the best desserts I have ever eaten! I have never seen my boyfriend look as happy as he did eating the banana pudding. The Key Lime Pie had to remain a mystery to me because the crust was graham cracker pecan and I could not try it. It was boxed up and shared with my daughter who gobbled it up so I believe it was good! The restaurant had the most beautiful view of Wrigley Field...it didn't even look real! The seating was spaced out and they had a variety of options--booths, high tops, tables, etc. It was pretty empty in there because of the weather? The football games were on, but they switched from the television sound after the Seahawks beat the Broncos, haha. I could see the second game, just couldn't hear it, and that is okay! Juan, again, was an awesome waiter who answered all of our questions patiently and made sure our sodas stayed pretty full! We did not feel rushed as we took our time tackling the mains and sides. He was attentive, but not overbearing. The women's bathroom was clean, but my boyfriend said the men's smelt like old urine. I will have to take his word on that! Overall, it turned out to be a lovely evening although it was unplanned. My boyfriend already asked if we can please go back before Chicago Restaurant Week is over. Probably to eat more banana pudding. Sans pecans! read more

Convenient place to go before or after a Cubs game with lots of sports on the TV and rocking great tunes. We tried their Chicago Restaurant Week menu and got to choose from some of their popular items. For $45, we got an appetizer, entrée, drink, and dessert. The brisket was pretty tender, but I would've liked a little more flavor. The sides were okay--I usually prefer sweet baked beans, and theirs were smoked, so it was an interesting new flavor. The banana pudding was scrape-the-bowl worthy--definitely recommend! read more

This BBQ place across the street from Wrigley Field has a great menu with dishes that give you the flexibility of trying several of their smoked meats and terrific sides. If you like Smokey sweet baked beans with pieces of brisket throughout, you'll love these. The coleslaw is perfect, not too saucy, yet creamy enough. The brisket and the ribs are standouts here. The space is wide open so you can see all the Wrigley Field action throughout your meal. The staff is very professional and welcoming. The service here is reason enough to come. read more

Good food, great views! Directly across from Wrigley it's a perfect spot to pregame before the cubs game. Ordered the smoked meat platter and easily fed 2 people. They were out of burnt ends this particular day but I would recommend that smoked meat first. Service was spectacular as well! Our waitress Kass was so awesome, sweet and had great recommendations. I dined at Smoke Daddy during restaurant and was satisfied with their options especially for the price point. For Restaurant Week 2026, you were met with a drink (beer, N/A, or bourbon), one starter 'snack', entree and dessert for $48. In comparison to other participating restaurants this was a steal. I visited without a reservation on Wednesday evening, and there was ample seating. My friends and I enjoyed a sample of foods from the #CRW menu. For the 'snacks' we got the brisket devil eggs, the brisket loaded fries, as well as the chicken wings. All were very tasty however, the loaded fries were the star. Now here is where things got good. For our entree we had the 'Little City Eats' which was brisket, 1/2 rack ribs, chicken legs AND TWO sides (which I got the mac n cheese and the baked beans.) All the food was tasty and for the tasting menu, I was impressed with how much food we were provided. To go containers are needed. For dessert we got the banana pudding, we were scraping the bottom of the jar. Sweet but not overbearing and layered with wafers, and whip cream! Overall the food, was tasty, and the service was attentive and knowledgeable. read more

We visited Smoke Daddy when the kids weren't really feeling it at the Christkindl market. The Christmas decor was great. Our server Juan was *amazing* and we had a great meal. I had brunch and everything was so good. The bacon was perfect. The hashbrowns were very well seasoned and flavorful. The pancakes were good and the monkey bread was perfect! I had the breakfast sandwich. I had no idea brisket, eggs, American cheese and bacon would be so perfect together. Definitely a fun Sunday stop! read more

Maybe I caught them on a bad day, but this was legitimately some of the worst bbq I've ever had. The brisket was overdone and flavorless. The pulled pork was chewy and bland. I make better stuff in a crock pot. The sides and sauces were also lackluster. Two stars because the space is nice- open air dining on a nice day is always appreciated. The service was also good. read more

Smoke Daddy - yes please! Chill vibe, friendly service, perfect spot to kick back and catch a game. We went during restaurant week and it was awesome. So much food and it was amazing, everything was so good. I had loaded fries as an appetizer, they made a mistake on my platter and brought me brisket instead of pulled pork. They realized their mistake and brought me a bowl of pulled pork and both we very delicious. The ribs were tender and the chicken was crunchy yet soft and really smoky. The Mac and cheese was really creamy. The jalapeño corn bread had honey butter and it was fantastic. I had the key lime pie and it was different but I enjoyed it and would order everything again. All of this was 30 dollars. I had a lot of food left over. The service was great. Bathrooms were clean and I found parking right in front. read more

Great location across from Wrigley. The three of us shared Taste of the Daddy before the game. Plenty of meat for the 3 of us. The sides were too small tho. I would have ordered more Mac n cheese bc it was great. Definitely would order it again! Service was quick considering it was game day. Got our drinks from the bar quick, along with the food. Tables are squished together, so prepare to be cozy. Bathrooms are upstairs, down a hall and nearly impossible to find. Awesome deal for Chicago Restaurant Week and delicious food! It's across Wrigley with a good view. The service was fantastic. We had a great waiter who checked on us often. I came with the family and we did the restaurant week lunch menu. I ordered the brisket deviled eggs, little city eats, and a banana pudding for dessert. This was so much food that I had plenty left to take home as well. The brisket deviled eggs are so delicious! The loaded fries are worth ordering. The little city eats has to be the best deal on the menu. It comes with so much meat. Honestly that was my only meal that day because I was so full after! The plate comes with 3 types of meat with 2 sides. I chose the brisket, cole slaw, and cornbread. They have an assortment of bbq sauces on the table. My favorite was the blazing hot sauce with the mustard sauce in 2nd place. The banana pudding is delicious. Presentation points for the banana pudding cause I was not expecting it to look so nice. read more

I've had mixed experiences here. We stopped by on a random weekend to check it out and the food was stellar. Got to watch an out of town Cubs game. Service was awesome. We went back after seeing a Cubs game at Wrigley and had a very different experience. Service was slow (obviously it was packed). The food did not taste good and was not flavorful. And the couple next to us was down each other's throats and very **handsy**. Definitely stop by on a non-game day and grab some great food. But unless you're very inebriated after a Cubs game, I'd recommend somewhere else. And even if you are inebriated you could get better food for cheaper elsewhere in Wrigleyville. read more

After touring Wrigley Field, our group of 11 headed over to Smoke Daddy for lunch, and it couldn't have been a better choice. They had no problem accommodating our large party, and the entire experience was excellent. The food was amazing. We ordered the "Taste of the Daddy," a massive tray loaded with brisket, pulled pork, a full rack of ribs, half a chicken, hot links, mac & cheese, pit beans, and more. Every bite was packed with smoky flavor, but the ribs and pit beans were personal standouts. Absolutely delicious. Our server, Sydney, was fantastic, fast, attentive, and full of great recommendations that helped us navigate the menu. She really added to the experience. My only complaint was that I wanted to buy a Smoke Daddy 94 t-shirt, but there were no XL sizes available. It was a bit disappointing since we came all the way from California to visit. Note to the manager: please consider stocking more XL shirts. Overall the vibe inside is fun and casual, with a cool neighborhood feel and a definite Cubs connection. Don't be surprised if you spot a former or current Cubs player grabbing a bite. Whether you're a local or just in town for a game, Smoke Daddy is a must-visit in Wrigleyville. read more

Smoke Daddy did not disappoint. Stopped in here after visiting the Wicker Park location a few years ago. On this occasion the Bears were playing. Several TV playing NFL games playing. We were served by Colleen, who was also making fierce drinks. For cocktails we grabbed an old fashion and Cubbie blue margarita. We went straight in for bbq which was delicious. Hubby and I both ordered the two meat platter which includes 2 sides. I got the ribs and brisket with beans and cornbread. My husband grabbed the brisket and pulled pork. We both enjoyed our entrees. The beans were impressive. I also killed those ribs. Nice date night and really enjoyed this restaurant. read more

Decent. I just came for dinner yesterday since I had the bbq itch. I ordered the smoke wings and the 2 meat platter. Everything didn't disappoint and it was better than I expected. My thing is the smoked meat platter could have came with more meat. It's a sprinkle of meat on the bread for you to literally taste it. Although it was decent, I wouldn't get it again. Nothing to write home about. The Mac and beans though?! Fire!!!!! :) the wings were very tasty as well although I wish they were charred more. I'd go back for wings and the brisket nachos. Pass on their drinks and get a beer. For 14.00 a drink, did you know they are batch made?! Huge turn off for the price point. read more

The location and vibe are 4 stars, the service 4, and the food 2.5. Seeing as the food is the most important factor, the great location, ambiance, people watching, and clean bathrooms were offset by slow service and food served cold. This is BBQ. Also disappointing was the funky, anemic looking brisket served cold and the everything else on the plate. The pulled pork was slightly better. I guess good enough for a pre game but not otherwise. read more

One thing that I've always liked about bbq food, is that it's always cooked before. The main protein of your dish has is usually smoked and ready to be served way before. So it's always been somewhat of quick meal. But I wouldn't recommend coming here if you're trying to get something to eat before a Cubs game. We were fortunate enough to be given a seat. It was definitely packed, but waited 50 minutes for our food to arrive. We ordered Brisket Nachos and a Brisket sandwich w/ fries. But our food was nowhere to be found. We were assured we wouldn't miss first pitch. We definitely missed the first pitch. Our server lacked a sense of urgency and seemed scared to ask the kitchen. He mentioned the they get mad when you ask them. The worst part of this entire thing was the food. I will admit, I do get impatient at times, but all that frustration goes away when a delicious plate is placed on my table. Not this time. The food game cold, like it was sitting for a while. The brisket sandwich was also cold and tasteless. Like I had mentioned, we ordered the sandwich with fries and got Cole slaw. Our server said he would bring out the fries...he never did. If you're going to have an operation across the street from Wrigley, you have to step it up big time. Should be able to handle large crowds on a consistent basis. Will definitely not be returning here. read more

Best BBQ we've ever had!! Loved it! The brisket is so tender. Great Mac and Cheese bites. Good customer service.

While awaiting to attend an event directly across from Wrigley field we decided to visit this establishment. The initial hostess was welcoming and directed us upstairs to be seated as soon as we arrived. We were seated outside on the patio which provided a great view. Sadly, we were not greeted by a waitress until about 20 minutes later. We ordered a side of onion rings and an order of hash browns. The food did not come out until another 30 minutes. The hashbrowns were good, however the wait time for such small items has me not wanting to visit again or recommending it to others. read more

It was my mom's 67th birthday yesterday and my dad chose to come to smoke daddy for some good BBQ and vibes to celebrate. We got there around 6:10 not a lot of people but there was an event going on at the same time. We sat in the booths in the back . This place is not handicapped accessible my mom has bad knees and was told that the only bathroom was upstairs (3 flights!) . Already going bad , then we got our food , the food was so dry everyone that got the brisket at our table said it was chewy and dry . I got the brisket and ribs and the ribs were so charred that every bit I had was just burnt . We finish our food and it's time for dessert, my dad got a cake for my mom and told the waitresses if she can put the candles on the cake and she had the attitude and my cousin has been peeping that when our waitress would walk away from our table that she would roll her eyes this whole experience. You think that's the worst?! No, we got done with cake and we looked for the cover that came with the cake our waitress brings it back wet like it was rinsed and thrown away , so we just threw it away . And then it came time to pay , my dad he isn't tech savvy he's 68 haha but my cousin she's 29 siting next to him watching him pay for the meal on the toast machine . He uses half gift card and half card because our bill was $150 something anyway he put uses the $100 on the card and then the rest on his debit card he TIPPED THE FIRST TIME and then put the rest on the debit card , our waitress asked for the tip again my dad said he gave her the tip already , ( side note he not confrontational) so he just leaves it and TYPES in the 2ND TIP AMOUNT ! my cousin seen that he picked a percent and then custom tip and then signed the amount . She goes he never tipped her and gave us a receipt saying " oh the gratitude wasn't added on the receipt " my dad goes but I just typed in the amount for your type with a confused look on his face and again he just goes for his wallet and gives her cash $60 on top of whatever my dad signed for . read more

Located on the corner of N. Clark St. & W. Patterson Ave. directly across the street from Wrigley Field. We were waking by, looking for an appetizing lunch, and this place had me at BBQ. We walked right in on this Monday noon time. The restaurant was pretty busy, but we were seated right away. As an appetizer, we had their 'Loaded Fries', which was a great choice for starter. As a meal, we had their 'Smoked Meat Platter', which consists of a choice of 2 meats and 2 sides (the meats are served over a slice of loaf bread). The food tasted delicious. This is definitely one of the best BBQ places I've been to. I loved their 'Cornbread' to pieces! The restaurant is spacious with 2 levels and a full sized bar with plenty of TVs to enjoy sports games. The restrooms are on the 2nd level and were very clean during our visit. Shout out to our server 'Carlos', who was welcoming and very helpful with the menu. Overall, we had an amazing lunch experience here and definitely recommend it. read more

A fairly inexpensive BBQ option near Wrigley Field, this is a good place to get a meal before the game with a good sized menu and plenty of options to satisfy a variety of needs. Despite being fairly busy, the service is pretty quick and the restaurant itself is quite large, with lots of space to dine on the second floor as well. In terms of food, I found the BBQ to be alright. The best item was probably the burnt ends though it wasn't as melt in your mouth as some other versions I've tried -- but it did have a good amount of smoke flavor and the portion size was pretty good. The brisket is the next best item for me, fairly tender though it could've been a bit more juicy, with a fairly decent amount of smoke flavor. I didn't care too much for other meats that I tried such as the pulled chicken or pulled pork, finding it to be a little dry even with the sauce added. The sides for me were a bit more distinct than the meat options. The french fries and sweet potato fries were both fried nicely and had a nice light seasoning. The cornbread was a bit more unique with a crispy exterior and as the most memorable. The mac-n-cheese had a good firm texture to the pasta and I like how the sauce was a bit thicker so that it wasn't runny (and I believe there was some pepper to give it a nice kick). For me, the best item of the whole meal was the iron cookie skillet with one of the best cookies I've had in this version of the dish (more crispy and a little fluffy, with plenty of chocolate) and a generous amount of ice cream on top. Overall, a solid place to stop by if you're watching the game and need some food and drink at reasonable prices in a comfortable setting. read more
