Welcome back LS! What a great renewal since the devastating fire. The renovation has made the space more open, airy and well lit. I love the new bar and the decor is a mix of new and old. What hasn't changed - the great service and food. The bartender/manager was super friendly and spent the time to dig out my mug club membership. The food is still great. Great spot to grab a drink! The loaded potatoes are a MUST. The sweet potato spud was out of this world. I was a little hesitant with the $13 price tag but this thing is huge. Cookie | Pole | Lava | Projector Cookie: we enjoyed the giant cookie and ice cream skillet! Warm gooey cookie with vanilla bean ice cream, can't go wrong with this one. Pole: if you are in a booth there are three poles that obstruct your view of the projector TV. They make up for it with additional televisions on the wall, but it definitely takes away from the experience. Lava: all the food came out so hot. The sweet potato fries had to cool for 10 minutes before you could taste them, same with the chicken fingers. But once they were safe for consumption, average bar food fries/tenders. Not great, not terrible. Projector: this bar has a huge screen on the wall great for watching march madness games (and whatever else is on). Just wish it wasn't obscured by the poles (as noted above) Lost a star?: The poles really detracted from the experience. Simply put if it is a sport bar you have to be able to see the TV. Especially the really big TV. Also, service was good, not great. Pro tip: sit in the middle, if you are goin to watch the games. Pro tip: they have a pool table, so it's a great way to kill time. I ended up randomly walking into Lincoln Station on Saturday while walking around the neighborhood. Upon entering it appeared to be a typical sports bar style establishment covered in sports memorabilia with some TV's. The menu here has plenty of burgers, sandwiches, and appetizers to keep anyone satisfied, but it also features a full menu of baked potatoes filled with different things which is pretty cool. When I walked in I saw someone eating a Philly cheesesteak and knew I needed to follow suit. The food didn't take all that long to come out and when it did it was worth the wait. The Philly cheesesteak was delicious! The meat itself was flavourful, covered in cheese, and lived up to its name and bread was soft but not soggy which is just the way I liked it. The staff was friendly, the establishment was clean (and even had Buffalo Bills banners hanging up, A+ for that), and the food was way better then I expected. If you are in Lincoln Park in need of some solid food, give this place a try! read more

Based on the crowd, music and overall vibe, I enjoyed my time hanging at the bar killing time. A huge win for me was they had Michigan's Greenbush Brewery's Shotgun Chicken on tap! I mean it's one thing to find it let alone on tap. Very, very cool however it was disappointing to hear it's not a big seller. Seriously?!! In regards to the food, i can't speak on it. I only had time for 2 beers. The staff was friendly and parking is tricky around here so if you find a spot consider it a great day!!! read more

Always a great time at Lincoln Station! This place is a good casual sports bar for hanging out with friends, and playing darts and pool. They usually have a beer special for $5. As someone else correctly mentioned, you get a free chips and salsa for the table the first time you check in on Yelp, as long as you also purchase a pitcher of beer. Was pleased to find that they had all kinds of Mardi Gras specials this weekend. $3 beers and a bunch of other options. Last night, the Sazerac was only $6 and it was excellent! I've been to Lincoln station twice now. The last time was a Thursday and it was pretty cold. I was frantically searching for a bar that still had an open kitchen. Lincoln station came through!! Got some poutine and some wings! 2 to 3 beers. One was a stout the other was a porter. Was pleased with the quality of the food and the service of the bartender. The night I was here was the night of the Mason Rudolph altercation Thursday night football. The other time was like some months ago. Baylor was playing Syracuse in hoops. Didn't have anywhere to watch and it turned out some Syracuse folks had gathered to watch the game. Sports is communal and also tribal. There's something worthwhile to watching a game with others. Divey bar in the area. Apparently it's also a big Buffalo Bills bar. Staff is fairly nice and drinks were reasonably priced as well. The reason why I read it lol is that it's kind of a mix between a dive bar in an Irish pub and I'm not sure which one is trying to be. If it's a dive Bar, it's not really a dive bar and if it's a Irish Pub, it's a little gritty to be that. read more

Went on Wednesday night and was able to be seated right away. They had a special for $5 burgers and fries. They also had a draft beer on special for $4.50 The server was very friendly and polite. Make your own spud- practically a choose your own adventure! Went with a bunch of friends to the Founders Breakfast Stout Brunch. Fantastic 3 founders stouts, best being the Canadian Stout. Wow. Took a star off for the brunch- $10 for some French toast and potatoes. I'd say not worth it but I also didn't try it so don't want to bash it. I guess the idea of having $10 all you can eat brunch is probably worth it... AFTER I've had a few of my stouts. Ended up with make your own spud, and it was huge and great. Sweet potato with a bunch of insides. Worth it! Nothing classy but pretty great for bar food. Now the beers. Yes! Founders, you make awesome stouts! Canadian #1, Kentucky #2 and regular breakfast stout #3. Each of them worth it- for a 5oz of each, and definitely had a good buzz. Will for sure go back again for all of the above! read more

Lincoln Station is one of the best bars in the area. Great selection of beers on tap and something for everyone with cocktails, White Claws, etc. Haven't tried anything on the menu that I didn't like. Highlights are the wings, the buffalo chicken wrap (with crispy chicken, of course) and the spinach and artichoke dip. The service is always incredibly friendly. You can't go wrong! read more

For being a bar, I'm really surprised at the food here. The burgers are really good, the California chicken sandwich is yummy (has bacon and avocado in it), the wings on Monday night for $0.30 are definitely worth it and the fries are freshly cut. Also, if you are a sports team and are looking for a sponsor, they do that too. They give you $200 for your team's league fee, t-shirts, and 2 for 1 beer pitcher specials after each of your games. read more

Wednesday dollar sliders is cool, but in my same order one was quite good and meaty and not overcooked, while another was a little ball of coal, so that lack of consistency is a problem. Same deal with the buns, which were sort of stale or poorly thawed, but in different amounts--one was okay, the another rather unpleasant. They have several TVs in a small space all playing sports, if that's whatbyoure looking for. There were sixteen or so beers on tap, yet not a thrilling selection. Service was super slow (wasn't a crowded night) and the bartender was very rude at the front bar.

Went in to Lincoln Station 1/2 hour ago for dinner. The place was empty with only 2 people at the bar and a small group at one of the back tables. Barmaid looks right at me while I take off my coat and sit down (business attire, nothing scuzzy). Says nothing, and turns and walks away. Strike 1. (Does she not like my shirt? She can't be an ex jilted lover since she's my daughter's age. Hmm....) Then she comes back and strikes up a short conversation with the person at the end of the bar. Glances down at the end of the bar again and again turns and walks away. Strike 2. (Does she not appreciate middle-aged people with cash in their pocket and plenty to tip a good bartender? Hmmm....) After a few more minutes the barmaid comes back to deliver a cocktail to the other person at the bar who just happens to be sitting two chairs kitty-corner from where I am sitting. They chat for a minute, and she looks me right in the eye, says nothing and turns and walks away. Strike 3! (She must not approve of well-mannered people in her bar? Of maybe she has something against people over 21? That can't be, because it's not the 1960's any more. Hmmm...) So I casually put on my coat, pack my iPad into my briefcase, and quietly leave. No sense supporting a business that clearly doesn't want my money. This is my first and last time at Lincoln Station. As I write this review I am looking at a delicious burger that was just served to me at Red Lion pub. Happy to be here and not there. And happy to be able to vote with my feet and give my hard earned money to someplace that appears to actually care about their customers. read more

Chose this spot for birthday drinks/dinner because we had a large party, and online it had said good for groups. The folks at Lincoln Station were super accommodating! Our server offered ahead of time to keep checks separate, and she managed to stay patient with our group of ten as people arrived late/left early and carried on in general merriment :) This was by far the most painless group outing I've ever organized!! LS has amazing weekday deals--the night we were there was half-price wine and $5 burgers & fries, and there was no catch!!! The atmosphere is super laid back and the staff is friendly. Looking for a relatively laid-back bar with pool tables, I consulted Yelp and settled on Lincoln Station. As you enter, you pass through a typical bar. It's dark, it's loud, it's crowded. But in the adjacent room, the vibe is more chilled. Soft booths and a pair of pool tables available for play. I liked this a lot. You're charged for the amount of time you're on the pool tables. We only had to wait about five minutes (on a Friday night) before one opened up. I'm a billiards novice, so I can't speak to whether the equipment is top notch, but it seemed to do the job. There was a regular table perched ridiculously close to our pool table, so we continually had to ask people to move aside for our shots. It was kind of disappointing the wait staff didn't check in on us to see if we needed drinks while we played. Maybe that's standard, but it kinda sucked to have to go all the way to the other room and wait at the bar to get a drink. Still, I'd probably come back to Lincoln Station, more for the pool than the drinks. read more

Lincol Station's wings firmly belong in the conversation for best in the city. Get the buffalo and the hot BBQ to get the best of both worlds. Draft list is extensive and outstanding, with enough hard to find microbrews to satisfy any beer snob and enough macro brews to appeal to those who want to stick to the greatest hits. Their outdoor experience on Lincoln was just fantastic as well. Tables are spaced a safe distance apart. Service is excellent, as our server made sure we had what we needed without being pushy or making us feel rushed. Highly recommended. read more

Just left Lincoln Station 5/5/17, four of us had a great experience until threatened by the bartender out of the blue. Initial experience with server was great, good beers. Bartender was gruff when I asked for a beer and balls for the pool table ($12 hr) figured he was just busy. About 45 minutes later around 130 he came into the back pool room yelling literally "get out or I will break a pool cue over your heads" ( seriously, check your surveillance of the doorway area, LS) we thought he must be kidding around until ten minutes later he burst into the room yelling to "get the f**ck out" (again, check). When we were miraculously able to close out my fiancée asked what the problem was and he yelled that we "insulted his door man" apparently hours ago? None of the four of us had a clue, maybe a case of mistaken identity? Alcohol/drug induced psychosis? Take your chances you and your friends might be threatened to have a pool cue broken over your heads by the staff, otherwise solid LP beer bar. read more

Third stop on our pub crawl! This was probably by far the one bar I enjoyed the most. It was lively, hosts were super friendly and didn't try to hit on me unlike the first two stop! If your a Cubs fan this is a great spot to watch the game wile sipping beer and munching quesadillas. read more

I cannot believe I've lived in Chicago for 16 years and have never been here. My friend and I popped in before going to dinner in the area. The staff was BEYOND fun and friendly, which was easy since we are fun and were practically the only patrons there at 6pm on a Friday. We brought our other friends back there with us after dinner, we had so much fun with the team there. Nice beer selection, for those of us who enjoy trying different beers. I love this place. Its a random bar on douche laden Lincoln ave. but whats not to love? They have great beer specials, good burgers and fantastic wings. Yup, thats right, they have AMAZING wings! Let me tell you what I think goes into an amazing wing. 1). They are perfectly cooked, crisp...not soggy and piping hot 2). No fat to be had, i.e, not those damn nasty ass JUMBO wings; in the wing world, bigger IS NOT better! 3). Perfectly spiced. Not to spicy, not to blah Yup...this places wings are close to perfection. It doesn't hurt that the staff is freindly and insightful and the location is right down the street from my house. I always have a good time when I come here. Mind you I don't go here late on a weekend night (see the douche bag comment above) but during the week or for lunch this place is dead on.
