Went to on a Sunday for bottomless brunch to celebrate with family and friends for our anniversary. Food was amazing and the mimosas were spot on. Nick was awesome. Came back for some drinks with friends after leaving a local restaurant and did a round of shots as a night cap. Nick was there and was extremely friendly also the other bartender was a vibe. We will be back for sure! read more

"Welcome back." I hesitate. I know with absolute certainty that I have never stepped foot in Chicago. Yet, the bartenders greet us with such a warm and friendly energy that I know with absolute certainly that I have been a regular at this bar for years. Decades. Centuries. I know within my soul that this was my go-to bar in a past life (and hopefully in the next). Just as welcoming as the awesome people are the $1 PBRs and $3 shots of tequila. And of course they hand out free hot dogs every night at midnight, which in my (intoxicated) mind was cemented as the definitive Chicago dog, even if it comes with no toppings whatsoever. And fittingly complementing the amazing energy of the bar is a 10 hour Youtube video of that memed Ukrainian kid dancing at a club playing endlessly on the TVs. Rocking sunglasses and looking like a stud, absolutely grooving without a single care in the world, and effortlessly matching every single song on the bar's playlist. That kid truly embodies the spirit of this bar. No matter what day it is, what time of day it is, or who visits, the bar's energy always works. Vibing to Black Eyed Peas on a Monday night never felt better. Imma be... back one day, rest assured. I genuinely can't wait for the next time I'm greeted with, "Welcome back." read more

The Welcome Back Lounge was a nice place to go for brunch. I had never heard of this place, but I went with some friends. The inside had an old school type of feel. We sat in the back patio area. The patio was covered and heated, supposedly. It was cold back there to me. They have $30 bottomless mimosas for brunch from 11-3. I ordered the chicken sandwich and added an egg. I also had the hot tots that came with queso dip. The food was really good actually. The chicken sandwich surprised me at how flavorful it was. Service was okay. The kitchen seemed swamped, so it took awhile for food to come out. They didn't check on us super frequently. Overall, the food was good, and the people that I went with enjoyed the bottomless mimosa deal. read more

This place is weird and really cool. Front is a typical bar and back is like an outdoor tailgate. You order drinks at the bus bar and food is brought to your table so very low key and relaxed. Great happy hour specials and bar food was delicious. 10/10 for a really fun vibe! read more

Came here with a few friends for the amazing brunch deal ($30 for bottomless mimosas plus an entree of choice) and had a great time. The pours were very champagne heavy, service was nice and attentive, and the music was "groovy". The food was the star of the show. My patty melt was absolutely delicious and my friend who got the veggie burger said it was the best veggie patty she'd ever had. My other friends got breakfast sandwiches and loved them. We came at 11:10am and it was pretty empty, but started to get busier around 12:30ish. Overall: very affordable retro brunch spot with strong mimosas and delicious food to go with it. read more

"Welcome back!" We're greeted upon our first steps in the door... a clever way to greet guests 10/10 on that Honestly, a super cool spot, very instagrammable patio and interior. We grabbed a few drinks and they were all good, very party-esque/elevated divey. The mezcal punch was the least favorite. They are definitely having fun with this one but bc it is served in the plastic fruit punch jug from childhood the drink is not adequately chilled. The bottom was luke warm bc the plastic cannot sustain the temperature of the drink. The guava spritz was enjoyable. So was the pineapple daq which had aperol... an interesting riff, but certainly making it more approachable for the uncertain. Adding a familiar ingredient like aperol permits more to venture out. Fun spot to hang with friends, for enjoyable drinks read more

I fear I went here too early in the night. Music was super random but I was just looking for a place where I can talk without screaming (which worked out). They had water out and gave us free jello shots which I really appreciated! con: def saw a rat run across the outside seating area but perhaps thats just the city life read more

Visited on a Saturday night for a friend's birthday. The bar was empty except for those there with us celebrating. The DJ refused to play any requests from the birthday girl. At one point, she showed him a song on her phone she wanted to hear, and he screamed at her saying "GET YOUR FUCKING PHONE OUT OF MY FACE!" Needles to say, we won't be coming back... read more

Welcome back! Great spot. Tons of drink options and space. The digital ordering is inventive but it doesn't always work. Not too crowded, fun vibe. Highly recommend read more

Update to my two years old review. The Cancan Chicken sandwich has been wonderfully and consistently awesome! We've ordered from here every few months and all the food has been fabulous. We love the seasoned fries and sweet potato waffle fries and the staff is always friendly and helpful. And, I can order online! So glad to have that option and that they have remained so consistently good. read more

Came here on a Thursday night around 7PM, so it was still relatively empty. The staff at the bar was super nice and the drinks were cheap. I loved the patio area where they had an old school bus to make it look like we were somewhere else. The overall decor of this place was super cute and a place that I could see myself visiting again next time I'm in Chicago. read more

Enjoyable time hanging out at Welcome Back Lounge. Wanted to grab a happy hour drinks with my husband since it was 83 degrees in October. Probably the last times it will be in the 80 until next summer. For happy hour we had the option for discounted beer or mixed drinks. My husband grabbed a Guinness for $5 and I grabbed Tequila Ginger with Lime for $6. The patio was a vibe. We were to grab a table with a game. Some tables had jenga and others had connect 4. We played a few rounds of connect 4 while enjoying our cocktails. All in all, we had a great time in the fresh air and good company. The outside bartender was really entertaining. read more

I love this spot! I've been here several times, but most recently for my birthday this past Sunday. Thw staff accommodated our group of 18 for brunch. best brunch deal in the city! $30 includes entree and 4 different drinks which are bottomless! The 70s vibe is awesome. Thank you to Chance, Nick, and the rest of the staff for being so kind and fun! we'll be back! read more

I just went there today for brunch $33.49 for bottomless plus 1 of the 3 menu Items. The girl at the front older with glasses and dark hair and tats was the worst service I've gotten. She constantly had an attitude about my bf coming up for the bottomless we paid for. Girl you didn't even deserve the tip you got bc I'm a bartender I would never treat guests like you did. Let the older white guy run the show he's amazing and so nice. Won't be back because of her. Just nasty energy. I can't imagine being like that with customers. read more

This place looks like a great time honestly. My friend and I went in for just a drink because we were walking around the area. The bartender was very Nice and helpful. The tang drink was good but the guava one was very sweet and syrupy, did not take any alcohol at all, could barely finish it. Only reason I gave it 2 stars is for the drink, everything else seemed great! read more

This place was super unique and had a whole bus in the back! You can sit inside the bus or just order drinks from it but either way that's cool. The lavender lemonade cocktail was my favorite. The servers were super cool and the tots were quite tasty but not really that spicy. Would definitely recommend! read more

My daughter and I stopped by for a few drinks and some food and had a great time. We had the hibiscus cocktail and a lavender cocktail which were both creative concoctions of yumminess!! Combine that with the epic burger and Cancun Fried Chicken Sandwhich and it was a dinner to remember. The fried chicken was seasoned to perfection and not greasy at all. The combination of toppings made this the perfect summer sammy. The burger was also so very yummy with all the toppings. The vibe of this place was fun and kitschy with a bus in the back garden that acts as the bar in the space. So very fun!! Meanwhile, the inside bar area is right out of the late 70's/early 80's. The vinyl chairs and brown wooden bar bring me back to my childhood. Everything about this place exudes come, have fun and stay for awhile. read more

Location is great, patio is cute, food was good. I do have to point out, the nachos are not by any means "stadium". If anything they're patio nachos! We ordered this thinking they were going to be huge, enough to share between a table of 4.....we all laughed when we saw the size. They are good do there's that at least. read more

Wow! I was greatly impressed by this place! This review is more of a 4.5 than a 4, but nearly everything was perfect! I will start off with the excellent Scrappy Burger there. The menu doesn't do it much justice as it is WAY better than it sounds. The cooks here know how to make a juicy and tasty burger. I got it with bacon which was a good move. Nice, thick, bacon. The drinks were decently good as well. The area that lost the half star for me is the price. This place is very expensive for what you get. They do have a happy hour which you can get some fairly priced drinks and fries with a burger, but outside of this time, it is quite expensive. My burger was $10 (which was fine), but to add bacon, its an additional $5 and to add fries, its another $5. The amount of fries you get are pretty small for the price. My slushie was about $14 and it came in a smaller highball glass. Everything was delicious though so that counts for something! I REALLY hope the reason why this place has higher prices is so that they can pay their employees well. This is owned by a larger restaurant company so I can see this going either way. They make you order mostly from your phone and bring it to your table. They still charge a service fee (pretty small actually) and still request a tip. I still gave it because the service was actually pretty excellent here. Everybody seemed happy, had their schtick down for greeting, and mostly was speedy service. I am a little torn here between great and outstanding. The only real downside of this place is the price. Outside of that, the food, decor, and service is some of the best in Logan Square! read more

I LOVE this bar. Jason the bartender was so amazing and helpful getting us drink swiftly. I came because someone told me they serve free hotdogs at midnight and they did not disappoint ! the hotdogs were yummy and i love that it attempts to sober people up. We found this awesome little bar while we were in the area. We decided to check it out because their happy hour had some sweet deals. Came here with a friend before leaving the beautiful city of Chicago to move to North Carolina. I had no idea this place even existed. We arrived right when they opened and had plenty of options to choose from for seating. We decided to eat outside, but let me tell you the ordering process because we were confused. Servers don't come to you, instead you go to the bar inside or outside for your drinks and you order your food at the window between the indoor bar and the outside patio. Now that we have that out of the way, once you order your food, they call your number in bingo format, which I thought was pretty cool and there's a bing board that lights up when your order is ready as well. We ordered the breakfast nachos and a blood Mary and I loved both. The nachos were full of flavor and the blood was just the way I like it. Overall, we really enjoyed it. They also played a lot of alternative music which was a vibe on a Sunday morning. read more

I feel silly writing a review when the only food I had here were the tater tots, but these tots hands down were the best tater tots I had in Chicago. While all tater tots are tasty, there's something about the seasoning used by the team here that goes above and beyond. In addition to the tots, this is a great spot to hang out with friends! You can order food and drinks via QR code which is especially great when the last thing you want to deal with is flagging down the bartender during busy hours.
