"Welcome back." I hesitate. I know with absolute certainty that I have never stepped foot in Chicago. Yet, the bartenders greet us with such a warm and friendly energy that I know with absolute certainly that I have been a regular at this bar for years. Decades. Centuries. I know within my soul that this was my go-to bar in a past life (and hopefully in the next). Just as welcoming as the awesome people are the $1 PBRs and $3 shots of tequila. And of course they hand out free hot dogs every night at midnight, which in my (intoxicated) mind was cemented as the definitive Chicago dog, even if it comes with no toppings whatsoever. And fittingly complementing the amazing energy of the bar is a 10 hour Youtube video of that memed Ukrainian kid dancing at a club playing endlessly on the TVs. Rocking sunglasses and looking like a stud, absolutely grooving without a single care in the world, and effortlessly matching every single song on the bar's playlist. That kid truly embodies the spirit of this bar. No matter what day it is, what time of day it is, or who visits, the bar's energy always works. The Welcome Back Lounge was a nice place to go for brunch. I had never heard of this place, but I went with some friends. The inside had an old school type of feel. We sat in the back patio area. The patio was covered and heated, supposedly. It was cold back there to me. They have $30 bottomless mimosas for brunch from 11-3. I ordered the chicken sandwich and added an egg. I also had the hot tots that came with queso dip. The food was really good actually. The chicken sandwich surprised me at how flavorful it was. Service was okay. The kitchen seemed swamped, so it took awhile for food to come out. They didn't check on us super frequently. Overall, the food was good, and the people that I went with enjoyed the bottomless mimosa deal. read more

This place is weird and really cool. Front is a typical bar and back is like an outdoor tailgate. You order drinks at the bus bar and food is brought to your table so very low key and relaxed. Great happy hour specials and bar food was delicious. 10/10 for a really fun vibe! read more

The pours were very champagne heavy, service was nice and attentive, and the music was "groovy". The food was the star of the show. My patty melt was absolutely delicious and my friend who got the veggie burger said it was the best veggie patty she'd ever had. My other friends got breakfast sandwiches and loved them. "Welcome back!" We're greeted upon our first steps in the door... a clever way to greet guests 10/10 on that Honestly, a super cool spot, very instagrammable patio and interior. We grabbed a few drinks and they were all good, very party-esque/elevated divey. The mezcal punch was the least favorite. They are definitely having fun with this one but bc it is served in the plastic fruit punch jug from childhood the drink is not adequately chilled. The bottom was luke warm bc the plastic cannot sustain the temperature of the drink. The guava spritz was enjoyable. So was the pineapple daq which had aperol... an interesting riff, but certainly making it more approachable for the uncertain. Adding a familiar ingredient like aperol permits more to venture out. Update to my two years old review. The Cancan Chicken sandwich has been wonderfully and consistently awesome! We've ordered from here every few months and all the food has been fabulous. We love the seasoned fries and sweet potato waffle fries and the staff is always friendly and helpful. And, I can order online! Enjoyable time hanging out at Welcome Back Lounge. Wanted to grab a happy hour drinks with my husband since it was 83 degrees in October. Probably the last times it will be in the 80 until next summer. For happy hour we had the option for discounted beer or mixed drinks. My husband grabbed a Guinness for $5 and I grabbed Tequila Ginger with Lime for $6. The patio was a vibe. We were to grab a table with a game. Some tables had jenga and others had connect 4. I just went there today for brunch $33.49 for bottomless plus 1 of the 3 menu Items. The girl at the front older with glasses and dark hair and tats was the worst service I've gotten. She constantly had an attitude about my bf coming up for the bottomless we paid for. Girl you didn't even deserve the tip you got bc I'm a bartender I would never treat guests like you did. My daughter and I stopped by for a few drinks and some food and had a great time. We had the hibiscus cocktail and a lavender cocktail which were both creative concoctions of yumminess!! Combine that with the epic burger and Cancun Fried Chicken Sandwhich and it was a dinner to remember. The fried chicken was seasoned to perfection and not greasy at all. The combination of toppings made this the perfect summer sammy. The burger was also so very yummy with all the toppings. The vibe of this place was fun and kitschy with a bus in the back garden that acts as the bar in the space. So very fun!! Meanwhile, the inside bar area is right out of the late 70's/early 80's. Wow! I was greatly impressed by this place! This review is more of a 4.5 than a 4, but nearly everything was perfect! I will start off with the excellent Scrappy Burger there. The menu doesn't do it much justice as it is WAY better than it sounds. The cooks here know how to make a juicy and tasty burger. I got it with bacon which was a good move. Nice, thick, bacon. The drinks were decently good as well. The area that lost the half star for me is the price. This place is very expensive for what you get. They do have a happy hour which you can get some fairly priced drinks and fries with a burger, but outside of this time, it is quite expensive. My burger was $10 (which was fine), but to add bacon, its an additional $5 and to add fries, its another $5. The amount of fries you get are pretty small for the price. My slushie was about $14 and it came in a smaller highball glass. Everything was delicious though so that counts for something! I REALLY hope the reason why this place has higher prices is so that they can pay their employees well. This is owned by a larger restaurant company so I can see this going either way. They make you order mostly from your phone and bring it to your table. They still charge a service fee (pretty small actually) and still request a tip. I still gave it because the service was actually pretty excellent here. Everybody seemed happy, had their schtick down for greeting, and mostly was speedy service. I am a little torn here between great and outstanding. The only real downside of this place is the price. Outside of that, the food, decor, and service is some of the best in Logan Square! read more

Came here with a friend before leaving the beautiful city of Chicago to move to North Carolina. I had no idea this place even existed. We arrived right when they opened and had plenty of options to choose from for seating. We decided to eat outside, but let me tell you the ordering process because we were confused. Servers don't come to you, instead you go to the bar inside or outside for your drinks and you order your food at the window between the indoor bar and the outside patio. Now that we have that out of the way, once you order your food, they call your number in bingo format, which I thought was pretty cool and there's a bing board that lights up when your order is ready as well. We ordered the breakfast nachos and a blood Mary and I loved both. The nachos were full of flavor and the blood was just the way I like it. Overall, we really enjoyed it.
