Gotta hit up this long time Logan Square divey ass bar. It sure looks like a well worn out shack, that also happens to serve cold drinks. The Native has some of the best prices, and that's the hard truth. Just bring cash. Make sure you have some bills on you. After coming here for the first time, I quickly learned a few important things to do before coming. It's a simple run business and they run it cheap, resulting in some important information. This bar is cash only. However they help out if you have to withdraw from the ATM. You get a complimentary shot. It makes up for the bank fee. The actual drinks are awesome too. All the frozen drinks are vegan, made with non dairy milk. It's $10, and these are strong. Good to drink when it gets hot. My favorite is the Cream Dream. This is made with coconut, oat milk, orange and vanilla syrup, and vanilla vodka. Bar has no food. They however let you bring in some. Forgive yourself if after spending some time in here you think it's a gay bar. It's actually not, it's just friendly. The bathrooms have some interesting pictures if you're like that though.

Casual. Friendly atmosphere and bartenders, nice outdoor area in back, and good DJ. On satirdays. I love their Tango & Cash mixed drink.

A solid neighborhood bar with a great backyard patio. Good beer selection and free popcorn.

Hard to find but usually busy. Pretty run of the mill dive bar. Has a photobooth that's kinda expensive but it's there if you want it.

This bar is great if you want a rock/punk vibe. The only thing I don't like is that it's cash only

In the modern world of $20 cocktails, craft double imperial IPA's with names like "a pidgeon's nightmare", sometimes all you want is an affordable ice cold miller light, play some pool, and watch some College football on a massive TV. The clientele clearly come to this traditional watering hole to make new friends, strike up fun conversations, and maybe throw back a few whiskey neats along the way. Don't expect an "instagramable" neon sign to take a picture in front of, but you'll find a no-nonsense bartender who will get you a cold one and listen to your life story. Don't get me wrong, I love the vibrant stretch of new American dining in Roscoe village right next door, but sometimes simplicity is all you need.

Has a pool table and everything. The drinks are the main thing, and it's a good place to get away from crowds and not care about looking cool and stuff. A total neighborhood bar. It probably has the same group of regulars here almost daily. They won't turn you away just because you aren't from around here though. Always happy to take your money in return for a drink. It's about $6 for the cheapest stuff. Basically it's just a place to drink. There's some snacks like chips or pretzels. For sure it's not the cleanest but it's not a dump. It had simple entertainment like a pool table and some TVs that have been around for who knows. This is a popular place for darts and there's lots of tournaments.
