So we came to Chicago to try the best Chicago pizza around. Pequod's Pizza is next door to the best wings in town. We did not have a reservation so we hopped on over to Becks and what a great place to chill. Crew here are awesome and take pride in their grub and spirits. Well worth the drives. I'm from out of town, while waiting for Pequods next door I thought I'd enjoy a beer while I waited. I was greeted really warmly by a customer who said our server would be right with us. Our server came over, I asked what beers were on tap and she rudely told me to "look at the menu" and then just walked away without saying anything else. Vibe was OFF!! Wow we were pleasantly impressed with this place. It's just off the corner near the movie theater and we had some time to kill so we stopped in for a snack/drink. I had Prosecco, pretty standard but good price. My husband had a couple beers. We ordered a dozen wings, half jerk and half honey sriracha. The honey sriracha were the Star. Nicely sauced, crispy and delicious. Honestly some of our favorite wings we've had in the city! Definitely up there with the best wings in Chicago. Quality of the wings were 5/5 and the flavors are 5/5. We got the parmesan garlic, buffalo garlic, and the honey sriracha. The mango habanero was their weakest flavor that I tried, but in fairness its also their newest flavor. Incredibly priced drinks - from beers to cocktails I don't remember seeing prices like this anywhere. Came for Monday night football and parking was easy to find right in front. I ordered some wings and cheese curds to go from Becks. The guy that took my phone order took my order and made sure my food was ready for pick up when promised. The two guys that were working the bar when I picked up my food were great. They were very friendly and greeted me with smiles. The wings are priced fairly as well. I ordered 20 wings for $28. I was able to get half Buffalo and half Honey Sriracha. The Buffalo wings were great. And tasted even better with bleu cheese but, wasn't a big fan of their honey sriracha. I don't know what it is, but this is the second time that I've ordered something with sriracha, and being let down. I was expecting a nice Asian sweet and spicy bite but sriracha sauce was completely missing. It wasn't a complete let down, as the honey sauce did taste good, I was just hoping for something spicier. The curds were also pretty good. You don't get that many for $9 but they were pretty big bites. Overall I was left satisfied. I've read so many reviews about people coming here while they wait for a table next door. I'm pretty sure they don't mind that extra business they're getting from waiters from next door, Becks should warrant its own visit for food as well. It's definitely worth it. read more

The bartender is friendly and very attentive, especially since he's also the server to the tables. I only eat chicken wings if the skin is crispy. The chicken wings at Beck's are not only crispy but flavorful! We like the Buffalo garlic and Parmesan garlic. Brussels and cauliflower was sweet, and cheese curds were nicely done. I didn't try the Beck's burger, but my bf seemed to enjoy it. This place is really chill , it's located on the corner of a busy street but the service is nice. It can get a bit hectic to find a table in the later hours but enjoying the food was more fulfilling. The food is great there are some things on the menu that I would say needed to be looked over in execution, like perhaps the ciabattas not having enough sauce or the bread being soft instead of a crunch. To go presentation was okay, except for lettuce/tomato on one of the burgers. Listen, I get it - if we were eating in, this wouldn't be an problem. But we are about a year into a pandemic, you should be a little more to go savvy at this point. Burgers were double pattys and pretty big. Fries/tots were good portion and my husband said his wings were very tasty (buffalo-garlic sauce). Came into this great watering hole to see my college basketball team lose sadly. Bar was packed for a 1pm tip off and chicken tenders were tasty, but maybe a little undercooked. Service was prompt and the staff were super friendly. There were a variety of food options from salads to baskets to burgers and sandwiches. I got the fried chicken sandwich with fries. Both were pretty good - the chicken was a great size, flavorful with a honey sriracha sauce (not very spicy but a good kick) but slightly dry. Friend said his burger was a little salty. They were in fact sweet and soft and still maintained that "fry" feeling, which was pretty great. Stole a bite from my buddy's burger - very soft and juicy! The chicken sandwich is different from other fried chicken sandwiches but was pretty great as well. Wings: we've tried different flavors on the menu between the 2 trips here, but I think my favorites are garlic Parmesan and the honey sriracha -jerk -garlic Parmesan -honey sriracha -Buffalo and garlic Popcorn shrimp: included with the shrimp are choice of fries or tots. We chose fries since I added tots to my burger order Beck's Burger: double patty, american cheese, pickles, special sauce. The burger satisfied my burger craving and left me on the couch stuffed. You can add tots for an extra +$2 instead of fries. Both the fries and the tots are delicious, it just depends on how you want your potatoes! read more
