Great Mexican fast-food place that's part of the DosBros chain in Chicago and elsewhere. The store is right by the Sheridan STA station. It's a lot like Qdoba or Burrito Beach, though this location's menu is relatively small. The staff were exceptionally pleasant--let's hope this location sticks around and they keep up their standards. The menu has the basics: Burritos, tacos, nachos, etc. When I visited, the store had only opened the week before.

Going to be a new go to for a quick bite. The service was awesome. They let my partner try to barbacoa before ordering it. The queso is good and the combo option is a nice choice and you can get coke or Pepsi products. He audible said mmmm when biting into his burrito. Def recommend!

Very kid, friendly with quality, high chairs and solid kids menu. Appreciate that their chicken strips were grilled versus fried and that they offered steamed vegetables versus french fries. One of the unique dishes that caught my eye was a ham and cheese French toast. It was sliced ham & housemade rosemary cream cheese between two slices of challah French toast and a side of maple syrup. Even though it mentions fried brussels sprouts, it's only a couple of leaves on top more as a garnish than a side dish. It was the ideal, sweet and savory brunch item! Service was spectacular. It really feels like a neighborhood joint that you want to go to all the time!

It is loud in there (to be expected!). Service a little slow. Biggest complaint is that it was soooo warm in there. I've talked to other people who've stopped by there and that seems to be a common issue. Other than the temperature inside, I will be back. Maybe will sit outside on a day when it's not rainy.

It's a delightful location right across the street from Gallagher Way and Wrigley Field -- but it's not a sports bar, it's a nice restaurant. It's not large, but there are a decent number of 2 and 4-tops, plus bar seats. I was pleasantly greeted on arrival, and throughout my stay, I was treated so well by waiter Landon, plus front-of-house staff. I got the mussels (from Prince Edward Island, which are the best) in an incredibly rich garlic broth with lardons and Fresno peppers -- the crisp baguette slices were perfect for soaking up more of the delicious broth. I also got the Sweet Potato Rosti. Almost charred outside, yet sweet and tender inside -- so delicious, with a set of surprises to go with it (creamy horseradish sauce, onion marmalade, trout roe...) Both appetizer dishes were delicious and served as a full meal for one person (I recommend the rosti as a shared dish - it's a bit much for one person). Finished with crème brûlée - delicious with a fun garnish of charred marshmallow. I tried a couple of their ballpark drinks. The Bleacher Tea was outstanding - a good balance (not too sweet) with a nice tea flavor and a kick. The Day Game Daze was a little less successful (I wasn't really getting the coffee, as it seemed the Bonanto and sweet vermouth were dominating). Overall, a wonderful experience before a Cubs game!

There was some major drinking event going on and while the streets were wild, Mordecai did not participate. We were seated promptly with reservation and greeted by Avery who was sweet, kind and helpful with getting us familiar with the menu. We ordered cocktails which both came to us balanced and tasty, I can always appreciate when there is craft ice for an old fashioned! The Arancini was so tasty, very happy they did not overdue the Saffron We ordered the Mordecai and the deluxe burger which both came out delicious and finished every bite. It's also mentionable that some rowdy types tried to come in and the hostess did be sure to verify that behavior did not disrupt their patrons which we were very happy to see. Thank you for caring about the experience of everyone! Overall a great spot and we will return in the future!

We had appetizers, meals and desserts. Lots to review; all good. Peaches n' Crema - burrata pugliese, spiced honey, piccolo cucumber, pistachio, mint. This app was delightful in every way. It was sweet and savory in a unique way. Octopus Carpaccio Siciliano - peperoncino, orange, oreganata, caper. If a restaurant has octopus on the menu, I get it. This was the most unusual preparation of octopus I've seen. It was sliced thin like carpaccio (it's not only in the name, our server also made it clear before I ordered). All the ingredients worked together to deliver a nice flavor. It was good, but I lost the taste of octopus in it. Still, it was very good. Wood Roasted Meatballs - beef & pork, pomodoro, wild oregano, parmigiano vecchio. It was a three-meatball appetizer. I got to try a bit and it was wonderful! I tasted just a bit of fennel, one of my favorite spices in Italian food. Mark was able to save one to add to his pasta. Tagliolini All'amalfitana - clams, prawns, calamari, vermentino, cherry tomatoes, parsley. Our friend ordered this and thoroughly enjoyed it. Bucatini Siccagno Pomodoro - siccagno tomato siciliano, garlic, basil; simple and delicious. As I mentioned, Mark added a meatball from the appetizer. I believe they can be ordered with the meal, which I heartily recommend. Paccheri Calabrese - n'duja pork ragu, san marzano tomato, peperoncini, parmigiano vecchio. SO delicious! I loved the flattened pasta. It was a lot of food. I didn't think I'd finish, but I most certainly did. Again, highly recommended. For dessert - Tiramisu. Our friend found it a bit dry. It was the lowest point of the meal, but not low enough to lower my review. Our friend mentioned it may have been day-old, but there's no way to tell. My hope is this dessert is generally moist and delectable. I suggest checking with your server to get a sense of what to expect. Mark and I both had Marscapone and Hazelnut Gelati. I felt it was a good size portion for the $6 price, which was reasonable. All desserts came with house-made biscotti. The gelati was fantastic. I found a chocolate chunk inside reminiscent of the chips in Graeter's ice cream (IYKYK). Our server was pleasant, helpful and a delight. If we lived in Chicago, we'd come back regularly.

If you take anything from this review, it is to save room for that dessert :) The staff is very friendly here (with my one tip being to be more clear when explaining the specials bc my table got lost in all of the advanced food lingo used). The spicy crab pasta we got was good, and although the pizza had a great dough and sauces, it was quite soggy (where if you picked up a slice it drooped). Not sure if that's the specific style of pizza that is served here as this is consistent with my previous time at Coda di Volpe, so this could just be preference bias.

Before the game, I ordered one of their specialty iced lattes, but I didn't realize until after she had already made it that they use Dark Matter coffee, which I personally don't like. Unfortunately, I kinda hated it haha. It was way too strong and bitter tasting for me. Definitely not the employee's fault at all, it just wasn't my taste. Since I couldn't bring it into Wrigley anyway, I ended up throwing almost the entire $8 drink away. We actually came back after the Cubs game, though, because I still wanted to give The Bakehouse another chance. This time I ordered an iced matcha, and I liked it SO much better. It was smooth, refreshing, and much more my style. My husband and I also shared a slice of Oreo cheesecake, which we both really enjoyed. It was rich and sweet without being too much, and definitely a nice treat after the game. The prices are on the higher side, but honestly that seems pretty standard for coffee shops nowadays, especially in Wrigleyville. My original latte was around $8, the iced matcha was also about $8, and the slice of Oreo cheesecake was $6.50. The place itself is nice inside and the dining room area was clean. There isn't much room to wait for your order, though, and honestly, I would have changed the side of the counter where you order vs. where you pick it up. The door of the cafe is on the left side of the building, then you have to walk through people in a super narrow area to order, and then you have to pick up the food on the left side of the counter, just to move to the right again to sit in the dining room. Just a weird set up. Overall, I'd come back, but I'd personally skip the coffee drinks since Dark Matter just isn't for me. The matcha and cheesecake, though? I'd absolutely order those again. The service was friendly and quick, and it's a convenient little stop if you're in the area before or after a Cubs game!

I ordered a 16-ounce iced turmeric ginger chai latte with oat milk ($7). I watched the barista make it with store bought Starbucks turmeric ginger concentrate, which was disheartening. I can make this at home for cheaper (and better). Additionally, the photo of the drink on the summer menu board looked much more appetizing than the milky one I received.

It's hard to miss Happy Camper because the outside of the business has a massive shimmery camper on the signage. They normally have the windows open during the warmer months so you can hear the music before you walk up. Happy Camper is massive inside. They have a ton of seating for solo dining or a massive group. I've visited a few times with a variety of group sizes and I always recommend making a reservation because it can get really busy inside (especially if you have a large group). I have visited when it was emptier and I was able to get a seat in a reasonable time but when the weather is nice or the Cubs are playing it gets busy. I normally order a pizza whenever I visit Happy Camper. The pizza hasn't disappointed anytime I've gotten it. I typically stick with some form of the sausage and pepperoni pizza, maybe I'll add a vegetable but I rarely get the speciality pizza. Happy Camper's prices align with the surrounding businesses. I love the drinks at Happy Camper! They truly invest in making the speciality drinks look cute and taste good. They also offer seasonal drinks that allow you to spice up your visit. I'm looking forward to trying the Apple Cider Marg when I visit again!
