Burrito Beach was super clean and a cool experience. I didn't know it was Chipotle-esque but the flavors, to me, were better! I got the Hot Honey Burrito and I really enjoyed it. It was a massive burrito and I couldn't help but finish it! My wife got the Burrito Magnifico, and I took a bite and that was great too. The tater tots in that one was a cool idea and next time I'm gonna pay extra to add taters in mine too. The vibe and decor is super fun too and the staff's service were very helpful with our questions especially because it was our first time there. 5/5 will come again and might even get a beer this time! read more

My first time here, but won't be the last. I ordered the Baja Queso Burrito, which was very tasty and filling. Very interesting flavors, but I will try the tacos next time for comparison. This has been one of my favorite taco spots for years. I love them because they have Mexican street food type tacos, and I really love that. They do collaborations with different chefs to do different variations on the foods that they have. My favorite taco from them is the one that has the fried cheese on it with your choice of meat! We randomly happened to stop by when we got hungry and were running some errands in the area. Very thankful we did. They have these chef collaborations from very nice restaurants, think Michelin stared, and you can tell they put a lot of effort into the recipes, ingredients and preparation. Definitely elevated from a standard burrito at a fast casual place - they do price it a little higher, but it's very clear the value is there. And they do have those standard type items as well, I just personally haven't tried them but I would bet they're great. Now every time we're in the area we talk about stopping in. Burrito Beach puts me in the mind frame of Chipotle, as far as setup and food options. The taste is very different. I like that they grill the burritos after they make them. Overall, the protein options seem to be a little spicy but very flavorful and tastes good. They didn't have a lot of veggie options. I asked if they had lettuce , which they did, but if I hadn't asked I wouldn't have known because it wasn't offered as an option, which I think is a little weird. The service was just okay. I didn't like the cashier's attitude. The other employees were nice. They had a nice, spacious seating area. The restaurant is located in a strip mall so there's plenty of parking. If you want super quick fresh tacos or burritos Burrito Beach is the spot to go. In my opinion, much much better than chipotle. They are always super clean and the staff is amazingly friendly. Especially Amallo at the Clybourn location. As the manager that location he takes a lot of pride and what he does in the food there. he has an incredible special menu of things that you can only get at his location. A decent place to have lunch. When I do come here, I order the vegetarian bowl. The food tastes decent. The staff arranges the premade ingredients at the service counter. I do hesitate to come here because the management charges $2.29 for guacamole. That costs a little too much. Chipotle does not charge for guacamole. But obviously this place does. The service gets an A. On a Thursday evening, the place feels empty. For some reason, they have a harder time bringing people in. read more

I really enjoyed Burrito Beach's Miguel's breakfast burrito! Everything was tasty from the eggs, bacon, potatoes and the ketchipotle sauce on the inside was the cherry on top for this burrito. It was absolutely delicious and I'd definitely recommend trying it for anyone who is looking for a breakfast meal in a burrito. The service was also extremely nice, I felt welcomed into the restaurant and they were very prompt in making my order and serving me as quickly and efficiently as possible. To the skinny girl with short hair around 1pm who tried to charge me extra for cheese on a quesadilla, you've got to be joking. You put about 5 shreds of cheese on the quesadilla. I've been coming to burrito beach since 2011. This was the first time I've had an experience like this. I even told her this and she didn't care. Instead of letting her humiliate me, I walked out. I have loved burrito beach since the first time I tried it. I always order a buffalo chicken burrito, and yesterday was no exception. It was delicious as always. This was the first time our daughter ate here and she's a fan now as well. I have a feeling this will be our place when we come to the city. I especially love that this place had free parking. I ordered the steak tacos (3 came in one order) on flour tortillas with guacamole (it was extra of course), tater tots and strawberry lemonade. All drinks including the strawberry lemonade were self serve and of course unlimited. They have margaritas too. My tater tots were nice and crispy. A good basic tater tot. The steak used for my tacos wasn't tough. I loved that they had lots of toppings. This place is just like Chipotle except more flavorful in my opinion. My steak tacos were juicy and flavorful. The guacamole was good it had a little more lime than I personally care for but was tasty combined with the other ingredients of the tacos. I did notice the server was a little skimpy on the meat regarding serving women but gave men who were being served heaping portions of meat! And know they didn't ask for extra meat! This is a wonderful fast casual place. The food is always good, and you can get it exactly the way you want it. My favorite is the pork carnitas, but I've tried most of the menu and it's all very good. My only minor complaint is they don't have fresh brewed iced tea. The thing that sets this location apart though is the service. The entire staff is welcoming, friendly, and helpful. This place is bright and clean with fresh ingredients...To put it simple it's a Chipotle knockoff and there are many...Anyways this place could be a four or five star all day if they could just learn the art of seasoned food. I got a veggie burrito and seriously every single non meat item tasted lifeless and bland so the only thing I can guess is that the meat proteins most be overly salted to compensate. Maybe I should try a burrito with meat next time and when I do I will change review if better. Been to this location twice now and I love the flavors of their fish tacos, burritos, & quesadillas. My first visit I ordered the toasted burrito magnifico & toasted quesadilla (chicken). Both were very good. On my second visit I ordered their Playa Del Carmen tacos that come 3 to an order and include a chipotle sauce, pickled onions and slaw. I also ordered their Rosarito tacos (3) that are topped with chipotle sauce, pico, & slaw. I really enjoyed the flavors as well as the mild spice & crunchy texture of both. They were extremely unfriendly, not patient, urging me to tell what else I want on my bowl, and not considerate of the fact that I'm unfamiliar with the menu. I've been going to Burrito Beach since 2015 when I was based/flying out of O'Hare airport, and I think the lines there compared to the other restaurants says it all! I was initially apprehensive to try it because the concept reminded me too much of Chipotle which I'm not a fan of, but a co-worker tried it, told me about it and once I tried it, I fell in love.
