We went here during halstead days because we were starving. Had good hopes because it smelled great, the food came out quickly and our servers were very polite and efficient. I had the orange chicken with cucumber salad and wouldn't recommend either. The salad lacked flavor and "dressing" because it felt like some sweet vinegar was what they were going for, but there was barely any on them. My partner got the "very spicy" noodles and they were not very spicy at all. They had the best flavor of what we ate, but wasn't anything to write home about. We also got a sushi roll, but it was very unremarkable and I forgot to take a picture. They didn't have the proper fixins for the sushi so it felt incomplete. The restaurant itself you have to go upstairs and when we got in, some guy was having a very drunk time. We probably won't try again.

Pad Thai

Ordered Diva for carry out on a whim and it absolutely hit the spot. Staff was very friendly and my food stayed nice and hot through a 10-15 minute walk home. I left a special request to have my Pad Thai be a little spicy, and they absolutely nailed the request. Delicious and will be ordering again! Also got thai iced tea and shrimp tempura roll which were great as well.

Ran into this place after bar-hopping last night. The sign can be seen from down the street, "Thai Sushi Open Late" and so we continued walking towards what seemed like a hole-in-the wall. We rushed inside the place, thank goodness their door was open. We then thought it was closed as there was no one at the front desk, no hostess, no nothing. There were a few people waiting around chit chatting, so we figured that the open late sign was true. Still no sign of staff anywhere but can see and hear some activity upstairs. And, so we walked up a short flight of stairs, inquired with a male staff, only to be told no more dine-ins by 1am since they will be closing in an hour. Of course, we settled for the only choice left - take-out. We were so hungry at this point, we didn't care but just wanted to eat a hot meal. Don't expect much from this small, not so attractive and unorganized looking restaurant (stuff all over the place). It had oriental decor here and there, along with a large LGBT flag hanging from the stairwell rail. The dining area wasn't much to look at and didn't have a large amount off tables to choose from. Soft music was playing, giving the place a calm and quiet ambience. Despite the establishment's appearance, we were just super glad they had hot food to go. The two staff that were around, were friendly and helpful. Diva Thai & Sushi Bar's food was hot and delicious when we got to our hotel. Their menu was not so costly compared to our hometown's prices in San Diego. Set aside its appearance, there is nothing wrong in giving this place a try

Orange Chicken

I have been here a few times and it is amazing. I am not sure why the ratings are not better. The food tastes amazing. The orange chicken is a must try. The rolls are always delicious, the drag queen is a favorite. The service is always fast, we never wait long for food. Staff always greets us and are very nice. The restaurant is pretty small but nice. Very casual. The bathroom is honestly sorta grody and in a basement but the restaurant itself is clean.

Go here to get sushi and feel like a diva. It's, how do you say, glamorous? Diva specializes in of course sushi and other Asian. Fairly good prices. There's a nice variety of rolls. Came here with the girl for some Asian. It's a pretty quiet but casual place. The inside is upscale but relaxing. Lots to choose from. Each of us got the Diva Vegan Lover Roll. It's $12 for a big one. This has avocado, cucumbers, kampyo, mixed greens, and shiitake in a soy wrap. Most excellent. This was big and filling. For sure could come here again. It has pretty good prices for how high quality but is. They're also open very late for sushi.

Crazy Spicy Udon

Came by later at night and it was still busy, which I took to be a good sign. The dining area is small and not the most modern or updated, and there are some TV's along the back wall to watch the game on (I think that's what was on? I wasn't watching). The food comes out quickly so people are easily in and out within an hour. We ordered edamame, pad see ew, crazy spicy udon, and rainbow noodles. All the dishes were cooked well, though it was missing a bit more seasoning/an extra bit of savoriness. My dining companion especially enjoyed the pineapple chunks that came with the rainbow noodles as it offered a tangy surprise that complemented the dish well. Overall, the service was friendly and attentive, and the food is inexpensive, especially for being large portions. I'd stop by again!

Diva Restaurant will get the job done, but is definitely not a place to seek out. The large menu has a little bit of everything from multiple Asian cuisines. It'll fill you up when searching for late night grub. Nothing I've had has been particularly memorable. 2.99 stars.

Did not wait too long but my family does not like waiting at all Ordered the soup to share- total win. I could have poured that juice in like water it was so good. The lemongrass and fresh ginger. Reminded me of the food we ate in Vietnam. Lots of shrimp, fresh mushrooms and a nice amount for a family of 4 before our meals. I ordered the Talay Pad Pong. That sauce once again made me shake my head. Could not believe how flavorful and unique it was. I shared a tiny bit with my family. Just enough to get a try of their Pad Thai. Pad Thai: I'm always like common branch out. This one did not taste anything like any other pad Thai we have had before. It was silky and saucy. Like a Thai broth- not dry like some just barely covering the noodles. Fill our two teenage boys up. Okay, dessert. Came for the mango sticky rice . Did not disappoint. We got 1 to share. Bad move. Next time 4. One for each of us. I have no idea how they made this but it was moist, purple. Sweet mango. Really kind of a dream come true. Kanom Tuay next: not really a sharing dessert, but we did. It sits in a coconut wet custard, mochi like balls- small. Very hot. In a hurry to beat our parking meter we ate quickly and learned next time. Mango sticky rice wins our tongue. Anyways, this place is vibrant , cute, friendly and delicious! Go check it out.

To put it in perspective, the Khao Soi we ordered is a curry base yet that was the most mild and almost acted like a pallet cleanser for us. I appreciated the spice levels as well. We ordered a medium for one of them, but I was sniffling throughout the meal. The workers also let us stay into their break hour to finish our meal, which was beyond generous. Very cute interior.

Indeed, this spot did not let me down! It is a small Thai restaurant in West Loop, with a large menu featuring monthly specials and quite a few dishes I rarely find in other Thai restaurants in U.S. For food, we ordered the following: 1. Khao Ka Moo: a stewed pork hock platter served with rice, pickled mustard greens, shitake mushrooms, sauce (similar to soy-sauce) and egg (which I opted out). It was my first time to have pork hock in a Thai restaurant. The meat was juicy and the skin was mouth-melting. Highly recommended. 2. JJ Tiger Cry: Basically grilled ribeye served with Thai style sides. The ribeye was cooked at ~medium well. I wish it could be a fattier cut and cooked for a shorter time, but my friend thought the temp. was perfect for her. It was served with a Thai sauce and cabbage+carrot slaw. 3. Green Curry Chicken: my sister's entree. The curry tasted refreshing and flavorful. It was also great that the dish came with both rice noodles and jasmine rice, so you can try both of them -- indeed, the rice noodles, after soaking it in the green curry, tasted heavenly! 4. Yum Hed. Grilled mushroom salad. There were shitake and king oyster mushroom. Served over a bed of fresh lettuce and a kind of spciy, sour sauce. Great as a side. 5. Guay Tiew Tom Tum Koong: Shrimp and rice noodles served in a generous bowl of Tom Yum Soup. It also had much veg. Unfortunately, I am allergic to some seafood so for safety I did not try this dish. Overall, the dishes are of medium sizes, but definitely enough for us. Service was friendly and quick. I may try more dishes the next time I visit Chicago.

The food was completely underwhelming, and when we shared our concerns with the staff, nothing was done to address them. The service was equally disappointing. Our server spent much of the time sitting on her phone while we waited for basic service like water refills, being asked about drinks, and receiving the drinks we ordered. We repeatedly had to get up and find someone just to receive attention. As for the food, the gyoza was bland and tasted like unseasoned pork. The lemongrass beef stew curry, which was highly recommended, arrived cold, had an odd texture, and lacked any real flavor. Most shocking of all were the drunken noodles. I've ordered them countless times over the years and always considered them among the best in Chicago. This time, I couldn't get past a single bite. Every dish was left unfinished. We didn't finish a single plate and didn't take any leftovers home--something that never happens for us. Between the poor service and incredibly disappointing food, this was an awful dining experience from start to finish. Unfortunately, after being a longtime customer, I won't be returning.
