Robbie R.

I was in the Folsom area for work and it's the end of the day. I just wanted something easy for dinner and decided to do take out from this Andy's Kitchen. From the name you can't tell it's a Chinese restaurant at all. It wasn't named Red Dragon or something like that. It gets good ratings. I called my order in and ordered Singapore noodles, honey walnut prawns and and order of spicy salty wings. I was getting food for two, so that ought to be enough. We were gonna take it back to the hotel and eat there. They have plates and all the eating setups to use. The food came out just as we got there, so that was good. I paid and off we go. It seems all hot and smells good. We get back to the nearby hotel and get some plates and utensils. No reason to eat outta to go boxes, we can be civilized! The honey walnut prawns looked good, plenty of walnuts. I was at some Chinese joint in Nevada once and they said they stopped giving walnuts with that dish cause people were leaving all the walnuts on the plate and not eating them! That's Nevada for ya! The prawns or shrimp whatever you wanna call them were cooked properly and not rubbery overcooked or anything. The Singapore noodles were good as were the wings. Lots of onions and spicy stuff with the wings. I liked that all the food was still hot when we got to the hotel. This was easy, plus no dishes to do cause we left it for the hotel staff!

Every dish ordered was so delicious. It is hard for me to find a Chinese restaurant that meets my expectations as I grew up in a hong kongnese style of cooking house hold. Most of the decent authentic Chinese restaurants are located in Sacramento off of the Freeport blvd area. I would say that this is a very good authentic Chinese restaurant being in Folsom. Seats were not cramped, lots of room inbetween each table and I was very impressed by that. Most Chinese restaurants have cramped seating, Walnut shrimp- walnuts were fresh and crunchy, not stale tasting, walnut. Shrimps were crunchy and sauces perfectly. The sauce was just the right sweetness. Pork and chive dumplings 10 pcs- they were so juicy! Perfect portioning between the chives and the pork. Flavor was on point. You must dip it into the chili oil sauce mixed with soy sauce. Beef chow, fun dry style- the beef was so tender, and there was the perfect amount of green onions. They actually add red onions into it too. You must ask for the chili oil to put it into it to give it a little bit of kick. This will definitely be a go to Chinese restaurant in Folsom from now on.

I happened to be in the Folsom area so I stopped in at Andy's Kitchen. I was greeted as soon as I walked in. I placed my to go order which was a lunch combo and chicken chow mein. Most all of the tables were full of customers. For a cloudy/rainy day the inside kinda had a cozy vibe. The items ordered were delicious! It was enough for 3 people or a few additional meals. Excellent food! Most definitely a place to go if you want good quality chinese food!

This order my idea of a perfect meal! My husband and boys had a basketball team bonding night so I dropped off some cookies to their party and hopped on Yelp to find dinner for myself. I ordered online and drove from Fair Oaks to pick up this trio of heavenly items. Green beans are my favorite and these were spectacular. Crunchy and flavorful and not soggy at all. Garlic noodles were also fantastic and I cannot confirm or deny if I hate the whole entire serving myself ! The spicy wontons were 10 /10 The ordering process was super easy and when I went in to grab the food, it was very quiet inside. I'm surprised it. There wasn't a line out the door. -will definitely stop by again soon

This is the place to go to for Chinese in Folsom, coming from a Chinese person. 10/10, workers chill af, food bussin bussin tensss. thank yall, shouts out met Andy the myth the legend himself ‍ Ambiance immaculate and intimate

While I'm giving this place "only" a 3 star review, rest assured it is a solid 3 rating. My wife and I came during lunch hours, and each ordered the lunch special...she the kung pao, me the general chicken. The general chicken was good..crispy batter, tasted fresh. The sauce could have used more kick, and had a weird aftertaste. Her kung pao was battered....never had fried kung pao before. Again, while good, Panda Express is spicier. The pork soup dumplings were very good, and would recommend as a shared appetizer. Overall, good portion sizes, the prices are reasonable, and if I lived in Folsom, probably come here once a week for a reliable lunch. Good, but didn't really "wow" me

When you're looking for a Chinese Restaurant that is about portions and flavor, come to Andy's. Our parents visited from out of town and we had never been to Andy's. They were both impressed with the quality of food. We've been to different Chinese establishments in the area and they said this was the best bang for your buck. Come for lunch and get their lunch specials. It's a great mix of rice/noodes/mains. Service is fast and ambiance is casual. Not your place to go to and celebrate an occasion, but a great choice for fast and delicious Chinese food.

We were in Folsom for a baseball game at the local college and came for dinner afterwards on Friday night. I wanted hot soup since it was such a cold night. We were seated and then we were asked to move to a different smaller table since a family had gotten there and needed a bigger table. It took a while to be attended too, we finally had some water brought and we asked the young waitress for recommendations. I always ask this, helps me to see how well the staff knows their menu items. We enjoyed the hot soup but I would have to give it an overall 6 out of 10 taste wise. The noodle dish, which was a recommendation, was not something we enjoyed at all.

Luc L.

Finally! Found a Chinese Restaurant in the Folsom area that provides quality chinese food. They are a mom and pop style restaurant and dishes are served family style. Plates are great for sharing. I had the beef broccoli, beef chow fun, shrimp fried rice and salt n' pepper ribs. All dishes are fantastic! The flavors were perfect and non greasy. They have a vegetarian menu for you non-meat eaters. The restaurant is smaller so be prepared to wait on a busy evening. You can also order at the counter for pick up as well. Will definitely come back for the other menu items!

They have the best Chinese food around! We door dash it usually and it's always comes ontime and HOT which is one of my husband's requirements when ordering food for delivery. The portions are large so it's priced appropriately. It also heats up well for leftovers. The hot and sour soup is delicious and the noodles are my kids favorite. We won't go elsewhere for Chinese! Give it a try you won't be disappointed. read more

Strange that if you order online there is a service fee plus the tip - why? Since we were already in the parking lot we just went inside and placed our order in person. The Singapore noodles are very good, we asked to have all the meat on the side and they were very accommodating- THANK YOU! So, I've been working off of Iron Point for a few months now. Found the Teriyaki Station on Yelp! and have been enjoying frequenting their location. They're closed Mondays! I had to find something else... and since we had Mexican food last night, it wasn't the taqueria. I have never actually noticed Andy's before! But, I walked in, was promptly greeted and asked if I had a pick up order. I explained I didn't since I didn't know they were here. Ordered a broccoli beef lunch special. Came with chow mein. Order was up pretty quickly and the food is fresh, hot and delicious. $10 and it'll be good for lunch tomorrow, too! Thanks, Andy's Kitchen! Didn't disappoint. read more

Discover the quaint little place when visiting Folsom. I ordered the beef chow fun with black bean sauce and the Shanghai siu mai and they were fantastic. The chow fun got the right amount of flavor and was not salty or greasy. The siu mai were unique as I've never tried the Shanghai version before but they were delicious. The service was nice and they got my food out pretty quickly. Will definitely be visiting more often. read more

I was around the Folsom area with my boyfriend to go to the outlet, but we were hungry for lunch, so we decided to come here to try it out. The menu for the food is actually pretty pricey here. Not sure if it is due to COVID, that's why it is expensive, or if in general they are expensive. The part that is not that expensive is the lunch menu that they have. We ordered from the lunch menu and I have to say that the portion was a pretty decent size. The food was also pretty good. There are better chinese places in my opinion, but definitely if you are around the Folsom outlet and are craving for some pick me up chinese food, you can come here to try. Overall it was a good. read more

I was craving dim sum and they have a bunch on their menu, unfortunately it all seemed to be previously frozen and then left to thaw so long that it went bad. Har gow smelled and tasted like rancid shrimp, shu mai was not much better. The hot & sour soup is decent. The crispy tofu is mushy and flavorless even for tofu but at least it doesn't seem to be poisonous. Just stay away from the dim sum if you don't want to get sick, or don't eat here at all really. Won't be coming here anymore, they raised their prices too high , 17$ for a small container ordinary chicken fried rice ., unreasonable. I know how to price things for food cost , it's priced above 50%... for rice with a little chicken and hard dried peas .. cost them maybe 1.40 to make? Come on .. you lost a customer . Yes, we ask DoorDash to travel that far for this delicious food :) The ingredients are high quality- I'm talking prawns and not puny frozen shrimps. They have a touchscreen that you order on, or, you can also order ahead of time via the Snackpass app. You enter your phone number, and you can earn points toward free food. After I put in my order, the gentleman told me it would take about 10 minutes. That's about what it took, and I appreciate the heads up on what to expect timewise. They have a very large selection of boiled, steamed, pan fried, the works. You know the dumplings are fresh, because you can watch them being made right before your eyes. I tried the pork shrimp and mushroom dumplings, and the lamb radish dumplings. Both steamed. They were both excellent dumplings. The outside was not too thin or too thick, the mushroom gave a little bit more of a earthy flavor to the pork and the shrimp, and on the other ones, the lamb was tender, not gamey, , and the radish just gave it the tiniest bit of a "Kick." Instead of a dipping sauce, when I got home, I sprinkled a little bit of sweet soy sauce, and a little bit of fish sauce on them, and that really amped up the flavor. This is another one of those places where you don't have the option of several choices of smaller amounts of dumplings, , but I didn't mind. Because they were they were excellent! For what I got, the price was very reasonable. . I now have another dumpling place in my rotation. Thanks!

The menu also has wonton soup, noodles, soup dumplings, fried spring rolls, crab rangoons, cucumber salad (Asian style), Chinese egg custards, bbq pork buns, sesame red bean paste fried balls,, stir fry veggies, taro steamed buns, and some other items. I've tried the dumplings boiled, steamed, and pan fried. The boiled ones are slippery and best when I'm in the mood to have them swirled in a sauce like hot chili oil. Streamed ones have a slight chew to the dumpling exterior than the boiled or fried dumplings. But doesn't take away from the taste. Pan fried is good when you want a crispier exterior and slight crunch. Whatever way you order 'em... it's all good! The egg custards, sesame balls, and crab rangoons are classic and my other go tos. I enjoy the diversity of the menu. Gotta confess, in Folsom there is not a lot of these good authentic dumpling places. Plus throw in some dim sum items...score! Is it Michelin star, no. It is homemade and comforting, yes! The place is clean, comfortable, and has basic furnishings and decor. There is no music or TV. The owner works most of the shifts. If you're looking for amazing Chinese food in town, you can't go wrong with a visit to Andy's Kitchen. It was an absolute delight from start to finish. I went for lunch and had the lunch combination of Mongolian beef. It had just the right amount of spice, and the sauce was simply delicious. I was blown away by the balance of flavors and the care that went into preparing this dish. The Chow Mein was another highlight of the meal. The noodles were velvety and the ingredients were perfectly balanced. It's clear that the chefs at Andy's Kitchen take great care to ensure that each dish is executed with precision and care. Last but not least, I have to give a special shoutout to the potstickers. These were some of the most delicious potstickers I've ever had. The bottom was crispy while the top was soft and the filling was delectable. Overall, my experience at Andy's Kitchen was nothing short of fantastic. The food was top-notch, the service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. I highly recommend a visit to this Chinese food restaurant - you won't be disappointed! read more
