Best Chinese food I have had in a while! Stopped in for take out at lunch time today. Was packed at 1 on a Monday so there's that... I ordered the lunch special- General Tso chicken with chow mein and fried rice. Chicken was delicious! Had great flavor with a touch of heat and a great crisp to it. Food was great. The inside has TVs for those who like to watch tv as they eat. The food had lots of flavor. The cook was able to make my dish with only white chicken breast. I've only had takeout since we're in a pammy but boy this place has really saved me. You often cannot say that Chinese food tastes fresh but this is. I've ordered takeout from here a few times and can definitely say so. I've had had the garlic noodles and the general chicken. Both were good. I commented to the owner about the freshness and he said that they get chicken fresh every day. I also wanted something a little less "American-style Chinese" and ordered the beef chow fun with black bean gravy (wet). It also was really good. Andy's Kitchen is my go too asian cuisine. The portion size are perfect, just enough for seconds for later. The service is one point from greeting you when go in, sitting you quickly, and taken your order/serving your food while its hot. The ambulance open and relaxing. Absolutely perfect. The soup dumplings were sublime, and the chicken chow mein and sweet and sour pork were super tasty. All service was quick and easy, and the music was great! Careless Whisper was playing while we were eating, and I couldn't stop laughing. The food was incredible, the place was clean and pretty, and the staff was very pleasant and our meals came out much faster than I expected. This is the best Chinese food I have found. I usually go to hoisin but it's such a drive from my house. This place is so good. The chow mein is so flavorful. I have liked everything I've gotten and I've been a few times. Also their pork buns are so good. Usually they are sweet which I don't like but this place the pork is savory instead. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for some good Chinese food. The service is always fast and friendly as well. read more

My initial impression after first walking in was how clean everything was. The service was fast and the menu was simple, which to me is a plus. I also liked that they service dim sum all day. My only complaint, if you could call it that, is that the dishes are definitely priced on the higher end of the spectrum for Chinese food. Portions are what you'd expect from a Chinese restaurant. That being said, for quality food and service, paying more is not a bad trade. Rare is the combination of both high quality food and good customer service in the realm of Chinese restaurants. Food is very good and when informed that we are doing big receptions for our church events, Andy accommodated our orders on a daily basis and he gave us extra food with discounts. Three stars because of COVID grace... and I really do hate to write a negative review when restaurants are struggling, but I feel like others need to be made aware and then make the best choice for themselves whether or not to dine here. I went for lunch in July (hopefully things have changed now) and was not pleased. The person working who appeared to be the owner(?) was taking the orders at the counter and cooking the food. He did not wear a mask until I pointed it out which was after cooking the food. I asked him if he was required to wear masks during the pandemic. He got very uncomfortable, made excuses of being too hot and back-pedaled quite a bit regarding what restaurants are required to do during this time. I ordered the lunch special of general chicken and it was way over cooked. It was hard to tell there was chicken because it was cooked to rubber. But, it was a lot of food! The salt and pepper fish is the best I've had, and I've been eating that dish for over 40 years at restaurants all over the Bay area and the Sacramento region. Beef chow fun is good as well. Service is friendly, place is super clean, prices are reasonable, and I'd probably give all of that up for deliciousness. Luckily I don't have two. It is delicious plus all of those other things. Tried this place for the first time tonight, and it was delicious. I had the Pork Soup Dumplings, Chicken Chow Mein, and the General Chicken. The pork soup dumplings were delightful. The general chicken was probably the best I've ever had. It wasn't as spicy as I typically prefer but I didn't even mind because it felt petty in spite of how good it was. The highlight for me was the Chicken Chow Mein, the chicken in it is perfect. It's moist, seasoned to perfection, and honestly so addictive. This is our family's favorite Chinese restaurant east of Sac. Food is consistently good, and the servers are pleasant, fast, and attentive. Ambiance is nothing fancy. The focus is on the food. Everything we've eaten thus far has been delicious. We always order the beef chow fun (dry style), salt and pepper wings (lightly spicy and extra crispy) and a variety of dim sum. We also order additional dishes to try, with enough for leftovers. During our last visit, we noticed an expanded menu with lots of new options. We'll need to come back more often so we can sample some of the other dishes, while getting our fill of our favorites. There are plenty of vegetarian options, and remember to order "low salt" if that's your preference. If you're on a restricted diet, there's a sign at the door to indicate seafood, nuts, and other potential allergens. Lucky for us, we can enjoy everything just as the chef intended. read more
