Came in for a quick pickup of baked goods on a rainy day. The place is spacious and I saw people enjoying some sandwiches as well. There's a good variety of baked goods - types of bread, danish, pastries. I appreciated them having half portions of their loaves, makes it easier to sample the different flavors! Service was quick. Maybe I'll stop by for their other items another time!

Got a cup of clam chowder from here and it came with a piece of sourdough bread! I love clam chowder and this one did not disappoint! It had chunks of potato and clam and had the right amount of saltiness! You can get a bowl for 1-2 dollars more, so if you are hungry do that! I only got a cup to portion control myself for lunch! Would definitely get this soup again!

Anderson Bakery consistently delivers an exceptional experience, offering a delightful selection of sweet breads, including strawberry shortcake, mango cake slices, and mango tart, mocha chocolate cake. The Jaleono cheese bread is particularly noteworthy for its exquisite taste. The overall sweetness is perfectly balanced, and the establishment maintains impeccable cleanliness, as evidenced by the delicious match macdina cookies. The ambiance is consistently pleasant, and the service has always been exemplary.

Tried the Spicy Turkey Italian sandwich...salami, pastrami and turkey slices with jalapeño mayo...SPICY! Generous meat to bread ratio...will skip the Peperoncino peppers and switch out the jalapeño mayo for the pesto mayo next time...good but spicy!

These pastries are so delicious definitely will be coming back for more. The only thing I wish is that they had a little bit more options for cold drinks.

The family and I were craving for something small. We ordered clam chowder, pepperoni focaccia slice, and a BBQ chicken sandwich. BBQ Chicken sandwich ( 4 stars) Clam Chowder ( 5 stars) Pepperoni focaccia (4 stars) We noticed that the prices have gone up quite a bit. Overall, as a family we've decided to come back and try their other items. It's been a while since we've visited an Andersen Bakery.

I ordered on app " To Good To Go" I picked up during time frame window. Service was excellent and the bread and pastries were delicious. I paid $5.99 and well worth the price! This app gives me a chance to try other restaurants at a reduced cost and it is a surprise bag. This place was buzzing with customers and a very friendly atmosphere. It was welcoming and warm on a chilly November morning. I definitely will go and visit for a sandwich and soup reasonable menu prices.

Chocolate chip (on left) and strawberry short cake cookies.

I had not been inside an Andersen Bakery for many, many years. So, it seemed like time enough to try them again. We got a lemon tart (with nice presentation) , an almond croissant, and a couple of cookies, chocolate chip and strawberry shortcake. The lemon tart filling of lemon curd was wonderful, but the ratio of filling to crust was off; it needed more filling. And while the crust tasted fine, it was hard as a rock, cutting through it was amazingly difficult. The almond croissant was a big disappointment; although the pastry tasted good, there was a pitiful amount of almond paste filling. According to my daughter, the chocolate chip cookie was good. I really enjoyed the strawberry shortcake cookie; it was unlike anything I had had before, and I usually do not like thick cookies. I would definitely return for those cookies.

Crème Brûlée

I miss the crème brûlée in the size that it used to come in, the wider flatter pan. This smaller size makes the crème too thick and it was also overly sweet.

We love Andersen! The pastries taste great and service is quick. They have a sit down space, which doesn't have a "vibe" as such, but if you want good food this is a good place to be. I've tried a variety of tarts, pastries, breads and croissants and it never disappoints!

Where's the beef (salami/pastrami)?!?
Ruth A.

I use "Too Good To Go" (TGTG) app to try new things from places I want to try out for the first time, and was actually pretty impressed with the selection that I got the first couple of times. So on this third visit, I decided to try out their sandwiches (overdid it a little and got 4 sandos) and the "favorite" Jalapeño Cheesebread. One was featured at the store--"Spicy Turkey Italian" (see pic) which boasts a combination of Turkey, Salami, and Pastrami (ordered it on a baguette). There was absolutely NO salami or pastrami as you can tell by the pictures I took which looks totally different than what they also show on their website. I even deconstructed the sandwich hoping to find maybe a small slice or two. I wasn't about to drive back to get it right and the spicy mayo was pretty darn good. Then I took another bite and found half a pepperoncini... stem and all! Took it out and finished half the sandwich. Busy holiday season and whatever, right? So on to the fave cheesebread and felt something stringy after a couple of bites. Couldn't even see it at first (until I put it against a dark container) then found a long strand of light-colored hair. Here's my dilemma... I liked most of the things I've tried so far and even my son said he enjoyed his sandwich and it was filling so I don't want to bash them too hard, but I also don't enjoy eating stems or other people's hair. Granted they got pretty busy after I placed my order but I still expect to get what I paid for. Worth another try? Maybe I'll stick with TGTG stuff and not pay full price until I find something I truly can't love without. But will definitely point it out to staff If I visit again.

All I can say is they better step up their game if they want to retain their market share. Breakfast Bagel 2/5. Service 1/5. Very slow they have plenty of staff, most of the just chatting or talking about how someone didn't oreder enough supplies. Hope they step it up.

Turkey PepperJack my favorite

They have the best Turker pepperjack sandwich. And there's pastries are delightful. And the new japanese pastries are delicious.

Great bakery located inside Island Pacific!…read more We're always excited to see new bakeries pop up (especially Filipino bakeries) since we've mainly grown up with Goldilocks and Red Ribbon. I saw someone talk about this bakery on social media and was already noticing how pretty it was due to the outside decorations. The first time I visited, I bought so many different things for myself and for my family so that we can all try it out. I bought a few snacks and a few different breads and split them up between each household because I definitely could not finish them all on my own. The pricing was reasonable, the only issue I really had was that some of the items we bought already started molding the next day. Not sure if they should have been in the fridge, but it was just a little unfortunate that I had to throw some away so soon. I do want to come back again to try some of the hot food that they have behind the counter.

Parking is maximum 3 hours and there are some tables and chairs outside to sit and enjoy your goodies. Overall, I think I'm still going to stay loyal to Doughweime in Union City, but these malasadas do live up to the hype. Everything bagel malasada: Surprisingly really good, a light cream cheese filling with everything bagel seasoning on the outside. And the texture of the savory donut was crispy and airy. 9/10 Strawberry cream malasada: Kind of plain, would've been good with strawberry bits inside. 7/10 Biscoff cream malasada: You can taste the real Biscoff crackers in the filling. 7.5/10

Two very kind ladies noticed us looking at the ice cream cakes and took the time to offer a few recommendations. I've had plenty of ice cream cakes before, and this one was easily better than anything I've had at Baskin-Robbins. The texture was smoother, the flavors tasted fresher, and there was none of that overly processed dry cake texture. Perfect for celebrations or just as a treat. I'll definitely be coming back for another one; probably gonna try the mango fresh cake next.
