We got the patronami, corn beef. and roast beef to go. We called it in first so we don't have to wait for them to make the sandwich. If you don't want to wait, call and order over the phone, so you can come in, pay, and pickup to go. There are tables to sit at the restaurant and donuts available to buy if you want donuts too. My friend recommended me this donut spot and it did not disappoint. There was a wide variety of donut flavors and it all looked so good. I got one cinnamon donut and one chocolate bar twist donut, both tasted super good, the dough wasn't stale, and the chocolate and cinnamon was flavorful. The donut holes are $2 for a dozen which is insanely cheap so I got one and again it is spot on. Everything here is priced cheaper than other spots I've been to. I didn't order a sandwich but it is $6.75 for a decent sized sandwich. I am definitely revisiting Amy's Donuts and recommending it to friends. Almost forgot, very nice and friendly workers! The service is 10/10. Everyone that works here is super sweet! The ambiance is very clean! I'm always here on lunch and even with 3-5 people ahead of me, I'm always out with my sandwich in under 10 mins. There's a wide selection of different meats and toppings! L O C A T I O N Amy's Donuts is in a little plaza off of Whipple Rd. and Medallion Dr. There's a liquor store and a salon and various other shops that have changed over time and they share a decent private parking lot. C O V I D P R O T O C O L Both doors to the place was wide open. The stickers on the floor for 6ft apart are quite worn out which means, yes they're heavily trafficked by customers. They have some hand sanitizer on the counter. Everyone coming in and the workers are masked. D O N U T S Okay focus here....I've only really come here for donuts. It's attached to their sandwich shop as well so you can get a sandwich here! This past time I got some donut holes, a maple donut and a glazed old fashioned cause I love me a glazed old fashion. My bf was quite happy with the maple donut I got him. I usually get him a jelly filled donut but alas they ran out already when I came by around 10am. The old fashioned had a pronounced nutmeg taste, dense just like I like it. The donut holes were hefty! I haven't had a donut like this in a while where their standard donut is quite dense. So if you like a good chew to your donut, this is the spot for you. S E R V I C E Service was quite friendly. I was bummed that you couldn't use your credit card unless it was over $4 but I get it. **Sandwich review only** We tried to grab Burmese food, which I was thoroughly excited for, but both places in Union City were closed. Instead, we ended up at Amy's instead. Let me first start by saying that sandwiches are $6 each here. You can't get that anywhere else in the Bay that I'm aware of. Since the choices of bread are rolls or sliced bread, sandwiches here are a bit smaller than what you might get at Togo's or another chain where they serve subs, however, WE ALL KNOW American food portions are far too large anyway. We shared a pastrami on Jewish rye with provolone. It came hot and delicious. Meat was juicy, bread was toasted, and the vegetables were fresh. I would happily have another! The donuts get you in but the sandwiches keep you coming back. Family owned and operated in the best way. Usual donut assortment you would expect but one look at the menu and you will be shook. They have hotdogs... WHAT? Worth mentioning. I get turkey and salami on dutch bread with all the fixins (they have a list of ingredients), yes warmed up and yes it is soft. The sandwich is a mouthful. They are heavy handed with the meats and you can eat the whole thing without it being a mess and falling out of the bottom. They have about 3 or 4 fridges at the entrance filled with salads and tons of bottled beverages. Seating inside although most get their orders to go. Huge shared parking but the main street sometimes is busy so getting out can be a wait. One stop shop from breakfast to lunch and maybe even dinner depending on your mood.
